Very good teacher. She makes the class interesting and conducts very interesting discussions and debates every class period. Tests are very reasonable. Take this teacher to broaden your horizons, if nothing else, because many teachers will get bogged down in "teaching" and miss out on a whole lot of interesting discussion. Great teacher.

It's mostly made up of class discussions. Lots of room for opinion giving. She gives open note quizzes and all you need for tests it to study the vocab list she posts on blackboard. She gives a good amount of extra credit. She knows what she's talking about but is very open to new ideas and concepts. It's a pretty fun and easy class.

This is was an online. The instructor did an excellent job of providing feedback. The communication between instructor and student was outstanding. You have to do some reading, but the chapters not long. Course is fully open to complete early. You have 5 DB, 2 Papers, 6 Chapter Test, 1 Mid-term and 1 Final. She does provide some extra.

I took Professor North in a 16 week online class. She is very clear, organized, and gets your grades back to you within a few days. The assignments she has us do were easy and always on interesting topics. You get two chances on your quizzes, she accepts late work (with a penalty, of course), and offers extra credit. A really fun class! not many assignments, pop quizzes but you can use your notes. In class participation matters or it will be awkwardly silent when she asks a question. Also she offers extra credit. There is a chapter quiz almost every Friday, but they're only 20 questions (and allow 2 attempts with notes if you want). Only the mid-term and final require Proctorio, but you can use notes on both. You get 1 extra credit opportunity in the form of writing an essay. Professor North is very nice, I highly recommend her.

Read and you will be good, you could potentially get by with not reading because the tests are all open book. But, the discussion boards need more insight. I recommend at minimum skimming it so you don't spend too long trying to find a questions, because they can be hidden. Try reading the book though, its an interesting read.

Since this was a online class most of the quiz answers were online. There were two quizzes that were remotely produce(recorded) and you cant cheat right, so if you dont study you will fail! She did send emails to remind us of missing work and that there is extra.

This class was pretty straight-forward. We had one assignment due every week on Friday. Read the textbook (40+ pages a chapter) and then do the assignment. It was mostly multiple choice quizzes every week but there were also 3 discussion boards, with a lot of questions to answer, and three exercises, throughout the semester.

I took Professor North for a three-week Wintermester and had no problems! It's a pretty straightforward class with open-note tests. Pay attention to detail to know what to study because the study guides are a little vague. When an issue arises, she'll assure and work through it. She also gives VERY detailed feedback.

Very understanding and straightforward. One assignment per week is due every Friday.

I very much enjoyed Cheryl's class. With it being blended, we were only in class one day of the week, during which she would lecture the entire class. She's very entertaining and obviously very fond of Sociology as a whole. I would 100% take this class again, as, while not difficult, it's very informative, and allows you to learn a lot.

Professor North is great! She knows her stuff, and maintains a fun, postitive learning enviornment. The way she does the assignments is very fair, and all the tests are even open notes. This class is very easy, but attendance is definitely mandatory. I would take this professor again and highly recommend them!

Overall easy class. Just read the lesson materials and you'll be fine. There were only two exams, a midterm and a final, which are open note and proctored. There are also a few discussion boards, several quizzes, and an extra credit assignment. Take her if you can!

A LOT of reading but an easy A. This professor does not take late work if you are taking the maymaster like I did.

Professor North's SOC1301 class is a breeze. With open-note exams, minimal assignments, and plenty of extra credit, this is an easy A. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for the occasional quiz prep.

Amazing professor! She is super thorough with her lectures and tells you exactly what you need to pass the quizzes and tests. She's engaging and loves class participation, you can tell she loves her job. Quizzes are open-note but tests aren't. However, tests are incredibly easy if you just study your notes/vocab. Don't miss class! Highly recommend!

Dr North is such a wonderful professor. Her lectures are so engaging. I learned alot in the semester I took her.

Professor North is a really good understanding teacher! Her study guides are exactly like the exams and she's very straightforward. There is no homework assignments just good class lectures. Just pay attention and you will pass with flying colors her tests aren't tricky she tells you exactly what's going to be on the exam.A very nice funny teacher.
