She is very nice, easy to understand, and energetic! She teaches from the hardest sections to the easiest. She is very willing to help and really does want you to succeed!

Poage is a great teacher. She does not require the textbook, just makes you buy her class notes and sign up for mymathlab to do online homework - which the online homework is short and easy. It is not hard to get an A in her class as long as you listen and follow her with the notes. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER!

Shes a good teacher and cares about students. She is easy to understand. You have to go to every class!! Dont buy the textbook you will not use it. Study your notes for quizzes. In the exams theres always one problem she didnt go over in class or did but briefly. If you go over your notes youll figure it out.

She was extremely helpful throughout the semester. Whenever I had a question she was always around to answer it for me and made sure I really understood the material. I made an A in the class ad that was the first time I've made an A in a math class in years. As long as you show up to class and do ALL of the work she assigns, you'll do just fine.

I absolutely loved her class! She explains the course very well. Gives take home quizzes, but gives you the option of going to her office hours to get help or to just get your answers checked. Very friendly and open, quite unusual for a math teacher. She almost begs you to go to office hours for help. She will help you with every homework question if you go to office hours. She also remembers your name quite quickly.

AMAZING PROF!!! She is not easy, but if you do all the work, there is a lot, you will get through these classes! She will always give you extra work and problems if you need them. Going into this class I was nervous of the difficulty and material but Dr. Poage was super easy to work with and to understand from the get go. She is super enthusiastic and makes every class enjoyable. She really tries to get everyone to understand each topic by various examples. The material is a bit tough but she teaches everything really well.

I'm full time A&M and went to Blinn just because I had heard so many great things about her. Problem is her class fills up in like 20 minutes after registration opens. I had to keep checking back online for a week until someone dropped and I got in. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. She narrows it down for you and puts homework questions on her tests. LOVED her

She is fun in class and does a good job teach, however, she teaches at a fast pace. She will definitely help you though. The tests to me were more tough than I expected, I made As and Bs on the homework and quizzes and Cs and Ds on the tests. The project is actually kind of fun but start working on it in advance. Really Enjoyed the Class. I've taken her for 1324 and 25. If you can have a good understanding and so the reviews she puts on websites for the exams they will be extremely easy since they're same questions but with different numbers. Just by doing this I was able to get an A on every exam and when the final came I could just score 50 and keep an A.

She was such a great teacher. She gave a lot of take home quizzes and allowed you to go to her office hours to work on them and she would help you till you got a 100 on them, and help with the HW. Dr. Poage is the best math professor/teacher I have ever had in all my years of school. She is just the best when it comes to teaching Calculus! Of course you have the typical homework and exams, however with the take home quizzes you can go to her office hours to check before class for a guaranteed 100 every time and she helps with homework.

Absolutely loved her as a prof. She gives a lot of homework, but it is super manageable. It's all on MyMathLab. Lots of quizzes, midterm, and final- that's it. If you follow the agenda sheet she asks you to print- you will be good to go. She does warn you the first day that you need dry-erase board, TI93/94 calc, compass, and ruler.

Dr. Poage: Yes! She supplied fill-in-the-blank notes which made it that much easier to take notes and memorized all of her students' names by the third class. There are frequent quizzes she mentions ahead of time; you can go in her office, get feedback, and repeat until you get a 100. She did in-person exams which is easy if you need help from her.

I waited to take math until my senior year because Im horrible at it. That is, until I took Dr. Poage. She records her own personal video lectures which explained the concepts in a way even I could understand. She constantly reminded us to contact her if we needed help in life & in general. Ive never had a prof care for her students so much.

Dr. Poage made MATH 1325 super easy and understandable. "Low de high minus high de low, over the square of what's below" is one of the phrases she used to help us memorize equations we were required to know for the departmental exam. She encouraged us to come to class with problems so she could do them in class, and she sent out frequent emails.

seriously the only math professor you should sign up for. fill in the blank style notes (with tons of practice problems) she posts videos for, 2 attempts on quizzes, 2 attempts on reviews, easy tests, and no attendance necessary. completely self-paced. she is the BEST. do yourself a favor and sign up for her class as soon as you can.

She encouraged us to stay and work in our homeworks and quizzes and she would make sure we had a 100 on them before the class was over. 2 hrs and 40 min is a LONG time to do calculus. But Poage made it manageable and I did really well in the class.

Dr. poage is so organized. Her online classes are set up where it just walks you through what to do. She records her own video lectures rather than the generic textbook videos. She responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend her.

I was so worried taking this class online during a summer session. But Dr. Poage was great at responding to my emails right away. I took Poage in the 8 week math 1324 course and was it easy? No, it is a double paced math course however; she is the best math teacher I have ever had, and I actually came out of the class having learned a lot. She is the best. She prepares you so well and just wants you to love math.

I took Dr Poage in a wintermester (12 class days). She was so organized which helped me a ton. I like to know when things are due and specific instructions and she had daily announcements. She also let us zoom appointments with her to get extra help. I would not take a minimester again, but I would def take Poage again.

I've never done well in math, but Professor Poage has a way of teaching that brings difficult concepts down to a level I understood. The class wasn't easy, but she made it very doable. We had HW for every section and Quizzes every other section (grade boosters). 4 exams and a final. I would absolutely take another math with Poage. amazing.

Look no further. TAKE HER! Never liked math until now, but after taking her class, I'm majoring in architecture. There are reviews for every exam that count as quiz grades but also extra credit for exams. She tells you exactly what to study for exams. I took a flex online 16 week, but her videos and homework help made it so easy to understand!

Take her for an easy A. Took her for a May minimester and it was a lot of work but definitely doable! Very organized, makes due dates clear, gives extra credit, responds quickly and tries to help.

I went into the semester dreading calculus, and it was fast-paced, but Dr. Poage has an Assignment Due Date tracker that tells you when everything is due for the entire semester. She turns these difficult math courses into something I enjoy learning with her natural humor. I advise you to do the Quizzes while you are in class so she will ensure you get a 100! BEST TEACHER!! I'll miss her class!

She was kind and a great professor. I failed because of my own problems, nothing she did. She gave many opportunities for help and was very understanding. She wants her students to succeed and sets them to do so. I had 3 hour lectures but she made the time fly and it was a good use of time. If lecture finished early she gave class time for quizzes.

Dr. Poage made taking math online doable. She has an Assignment Due Date sheet that she gives at the beginning that has when every assignment is due, though everything is open and she lets you work ahead as much as you like. Watching her lecture videos is crucial as she teaches you easier ways to solve problem then MML shows. Poage is Awesome!

I'm SO glad I took Professor Poage for this class. Her lecture videos were amazing and spot on for the assignments. The tests were just like the homeworks and quizzes. Tests are proctored through Honorlock and had to show work on whiteboard for every single problem but she watch videos and gave back partial credit! Would totally take her again!

amazing prof!! took this class as a 5 week summer session online, and she was extremely helpful. she was very easy to reach outside of class and goes over each problem specifically that you may need help with. all exams were honorlock, and she goes back to watch them and give extra credit. would definitely take her again!!

I was so lucky to get into Dr. Paige's class. She explains the material well, loves it when students ask questions, and is easy to talk to. She truly wants her students to succeed. She is the epitome of an amazing professor who goes above and beyond for her students.

This is my 2nd time to take this class. Wish I would have had Dr. Poage the first time. She's very organized and tells us up front how many homeworks, quizzes, and tests we will have and the dates of each. She records her lectures and posts them. Would def take her again!

I'm not the best at math, but Dr. Poage made expectations very clear and reminded us many times when assignments were due. She made the material seem easier than the last prof I had for this course. on 1st day of class, Poage gave us the dates when every assignment would be due. She said we could work ahead as much as we wanted and would get extra credit for completing tests 24 hrs before due date. she posts videos of how to do the harder HW questions. tests are directly from the reviews. 8 week moves fast, but Poage makes it straight forward

Prof. Poage is priceless. I tried to get in her class twice before and they switched schedules on me but i got in this spring and it was worth the wait. She teaches in a way i actually understand and I am not a math person at all. She even made 2 hr 40 min class entertaining. It's a lot of work, but she makes it doable. 2 thumbs up!

Just finished 8 week MATH 142 with Poage... it was fast and intense... but she is good. This was my 3rd time taking this class and the first time I understood it. She made the criteria for her grading very clear from the beginning. No tricky tests... very similar to reviews. She taught us random things to help us remember stuff. Great Prof!

As an 8 week math class this was challenging and hard, but Dr.Poage made it worth it, I had a hard time with this class because of how fast paced it was, but she showed us a bunch of ways to memorize which helped a lot, if I took her for a 16 week I would've gotten a much better grade. She makes the 2hrs and 40min class go by fast. Def Recommend!

By far the best math teacher at blinn. Going in I thought I was going to struggle but she made Calculus easy to understand and taught it in a way that made sense. Class is very fast paced but if you stay on top of it you will excel. 5 total exams worth 62% of the average. About an exam a week.

Best professor I have had in college by FAR. I took math 140 with Poage and stayed in TEAM an extra year JUST to be able to have Poage as my 142 professor. She is amazing, I could praise her for hours. She genuinely cares about every one of her students and wants nothing more than for every student to succeed. I ended both Math courses with an A!

One word - Orgnized. I loved this class because Poage was so organized. She recorded her own lectures (not the books videos) and taught lots of tricks to learn the math. Unlimited attempts at homeworks, 2 attempts at Quizzes. Tests were on honorlock (1 attempt) but the test was just like the review. No surprises. Would take again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Poage is an AMAZING professor. she takes the time to know her students on a personal level and makes navigating the online homework incredibly easy. she is super organized and teaches in a way that is easy for me, someone who is incredibly bad at math, to understand. if you can take her i definitely would.

I took her for an 8w in person, she is by far the best math prof. She made math so easy to understand, this is coming from someone who's highest math in highschool was algebra 2, which i failed btw. She does give extra credit out of nowhere so be sure to attend class. And her tests are identical to her reviews. Easy A if you put in the work.

Take 1325 with Dr. Poage! I took 1325 with another professor and failed the course, but having Poage as a professor made a night and day difference, and I was able to understand calc for once. Her class is very organized and she encourages you to ask for help. Tests are straightforward and exactly like the review, so do it and you'll be good.

Dr. Poage was able to teach my calculus… which is saying a lot since I've never been good at math and had attempted this class twice already. This time it made sense with Poage teaching it and I have a solid B going into the last week of an 8 week class. Do whatever it takes to get in her class. Do the extra practice problems and reviews.

Poage was great! I dreaded taking this class and put it off until my senior year. Went to office hours twice a week and she was always helpful. Always a smile on her face.

Her videos are so helpful! I took an online class of hers, so I was on my own time, but her videos really helped. They aren't too lengthy maybe just a few. If you do good on tests, you will be just fine passing her class. She offers up too 11 points of extra credit for exams! Highly recommend taking her class if you are able too!

I would give Dr. Poage my firstborn child if I could; not much else needed to be said. Just take her.

She will equip you with the necessary algebra skills in order to learn the calculus. No tricky tests, just master the exam reviews, and you will make an A on her exams! Take her class!
