Cheryl is the best professor you could want, if you love to write. If you're just taking comm 1 or 2 because it's required, you might find her a bit to challenging or critical. She would be especially benefitial for english majors. I have her for comm 1, and will be taking her comm 2 class the fall

Great professor. Quizzes are easy and essays have broad topics. I'd take another of her classes.

Do Not Take Summer or Minimester. Grades based on criteria in her head only. Does as she pleases maybe good for a comm major but biased on papers and sits too high on her own horse. take amberman.

Cheryl is the best teacher ever, i had her for comm 2, and i loved it because she made class so interesting and she actually made me want to write essays (which is sooo strange for me!) because she gave us so many intriguing things to write about, i go to florida state now and that comm 2 class was still one of my favorites

I LOVE CHERYL... she is such an awesome teacher... her class requires a lot of writing but in the end it was all worth it... i would recommend taking her for Comm 1

Cheryl is not an easy teacher. Even so, I found that I learned a lot in the class. There is a lot of writing to be done, but that is because Comm 1 is a...surprise, writing class. I recommend you take her only if you are willing to put forth an effort (and have the foresight to get your papers proofread by someone other than classmates).

AMAZING TEACHER!! Was extremely helpful throughout the semester and continued to be helpful even after I finished her class. Cares about students wellbeing and is very interesting. Cheryl is so crazy, I love her! She's sweet and funny. I've never met anyone like her! The class is alright. If you listen to her, and ask questions, she'll make every assignment really clear. She shows so much interest in each student, which makes the classroom enviorment better. I love the fact that she makes us call her Cheryl! I recommend her!

This teacher is fun... interesting, but the assignment is way too difficult. If you like to type science related paper, than take her.

Cheryl Renne is brilliant. Enthusiastic! Engaging! BCC is extraordinarily fortunate to have such a high-caliber professor. I learned a great deal from her, even though I'd taken several upper-level English courses at private colleges.

She is a excellent teacgher. In Fact, I planned my whole schedule around her for Communicatins 2. Communications 1 I have learned a great deal of information from her and extra help. Highly recommend her.

I had Cheryl Renee for Comm 1 and 2. She is a wonderful teacher, and makes literature interesting. Even if you never cared about it before, she always has a way to relate it to you. Attendance is important, and just pay attention to her tips for writing. And be careful with MLA! Her class is all around a great experience.

Great professor. I don't understand the few low ratings. The class is a couple small projects/essays and then centers around a research paper (normally science). Yes it is big, but it compensates for the relaxed atmosphere. She'll grab your attention and keep you interested. Helpful and understanding. Also definitely deserves the chili pepper!

This is a college class, not a high school class. MLA format is a requirement. Reading/interpreting/writing is a requirement. Attending class is a requirement. She knows everyone's name the second day, recognizes her students as people, and expects hard work. The reward is an EDUCATION experience.

Cheryls class is hard, but these people giving her 1's are just flat out stupid. If you show up, and let her see you are trying...you'll get a good grade. These people just think that writing a 30 page paper in a WHOLE SEMESTER is hard work...I don't get it...She is a GREAT TEACHER! BCC is lucky to have her!

Cheryl's class is not an easy A. You get out of it what you put in. You will not pass unless you master MLA in the course. She really prepares her students for upper level courses, and I really appreciated the research exposure. Take her if you are in college to learn.

Cheryl is amazing. Her class was really fun, and as long as you didn't procrastinate like crazy, the workload was no problem. I highly recommend taking her class. (For those who mentioned the science thing: that was only for one or two semesters. She used to pick one subject to concentrate on, but now she lets you choose your own topics.)

She is incredible I've learned so much from her. If you attend the class ON TIME and pay attention and DO YOUR WORK on time you will get an A She is very helpful and always available. If you are going to school to learn this is your girl.

Very interesting personality. Would have enjoyed the class more, but the writing subject matter was constricted to one topic of your choosing for the entire semester, which was very frustrating, I might add. Somewhat fair grading, she nitpicks though. Good teacher, very straight-forward, just don't care for the extensive assignments.

Cheryl was so much fun.She lets you choose your own topics, you have plenty of time to complete the assignments as long as you don't procrastinate. She has really interesting stories. If you need help she is more than happy to do so. If you need an english credit take her!

Cheryl is a good professor.She is fun and very passionate about literature.She is easy to talk to and quite knowledable.Although she is very strict on the use of MLA formatting on the essays!Other than that class is fun and rewarding.

Cheryl's class was awesome. Don't go into her class thinking it's a breeze though, she expects you to work, and you'll learn alot from it. She's an outstanding teacher, very understanding and really cares about her students. We had four assignments over all, the last one being a dramatic presentation. I'd strongly recomment her!

She is awesome! However, she is not an easy A. You have to work for it.She gives plenty of time to get all the assignments done. Really no homework besides angel because you do all your writing in class. Take her she is the best!

Professor Renee creates a fun and positive learning enviorment. I found myself laughing a lot in her classroom. Her online classes were well organized and informative. I will be requesting Ms.Renee for Enlish 2. On a personal note; she genuinely does cares about her students and is more than willing to offer her assistance and I thank for that.

For a college student that is not dedicated or serious about his/her education, Prof. Renee may seem like a very hard professor. She is not the easiest, even for seasoned college students, but she is a good professor. She teaches what you need to know for exams, and if you ask questions about paper criteria, she will try to help.

Amazing class!! It's an easy class if you actually want to go to college, and she actually made com 1 fun. She does want you to have the book to see MLA format, but if you go to the wrighting center you'll be fine. Shes such a nice person and she'll make sure that you understand the topic if you need help.

she is a WAKADOO! Crazy, silly teaching style. You read alottt of short stories and poems, and the class discussions are GREAT! Although, she finds sexual hidden meanings in EVERYTHING. Shes an extremely hard grader, and if you miss any assignments you will fail.

This has been one of my favorite classes i've taken at BCC. I had her for Com 1 and 2; she's always full of so much energy and it's a great way to start the day! She makes classes fun and because of her my writing has improved along with my view of literature. I'd strongly recomend her

Mrs. Renee can be a little crazy but overall is a good prof. Definitely a lot of writing and found it a little overwhelming for a 1st comm class

Explains topics and makes sense. Always has an interesting storto tell ad relates it to the class. However, if you aren't in class one day then you have to meet with her another day soon to catch up. Overall is a great instructor

Great teacher. She explains everything well. Gives you good feedback. She's crazy, but a good kind of crazy. Tells stories a lot. Her class is never boring! Her com. 1 class was my favorite so far! I can't wait to take her again next semester for com. 2!

She may seem crazy but she's a great teacher and helps explain everything very well. She'll help you one on one if needed and i would definitely recommend her. My longest paper was only 7 pages and the topics are interested. Plus you will know MLA format when done with this class!:)

I loved her! Like others have said, she's crazy, but a good kind of crazy. She shows her passion for literature and she's extremely helpful. As long as you take your assignments seriously and take notes (which can be used on the midterm and final) you will do great! Plus she adds 5% to your final grade if you attend all classes. One of my favorites

She once tried to mark me absent for being a total of 3 seconds late, when she hadn't even started yet. She also happens to steal staplers from other professors.. While she is helpful in learning MLA and whatnot, she's also rude and strict. If she read this, she would probably be more offended by my lack of writing skills that what I have to say.

Cheryl wants to prepare you for college for the next few years, and in this way she is like a boot camp instructor. You can't be late or absent without a grade deduction. Grades VERY harshly. So harshly that I wrote every paper as instructed and still never got higher than a 69. The final paper was 40 percent of your grade, you can do the math.

Prof. Renee is a tough grader. I took her for Comm 1 & 2. Her exams are open note and open book. Her papers are usually capped between 5 & 8 pages. I enjoyed her class. She will prepare you for college writing. She is not an easy Professor, but I would take her class again. Since taking her, I've received high marks on papers in other classes.

She's a nice lady, but this class was no walk in the park. She wants you to succeed. I took her 1st semester and was assigned 5 papers. Each class period, we would come in and instead of telling us to just do it ourselves, we would do them bit by bit with small deadlines in-between. Just really focus on what you're doing and you should be fine!

Cheryl Renee was a great teacher. She truly wants her students to succeed. There's a lot of essays, but what else do you expect with a Composition class? She's strict with deadlines. Focus on the assignments and you'll do fine.

Tough but makes the class enjoyable so it is durable

She is a fun teacher. She expects you to be a critical reader and to know how to analyze literature. All assignments MUST be complete to pass. You must know your MLA. She grades hard. No extra credit. Requires you to think with your own brain and challenges you to evaluate all aspects of writing. Keeps you on your toes answering questions in class.

Despite what people may say, I LOVE Ms. Renee. She can be particular about things but as long as you do what she asks of you, there is no problem. I got really sick during my semester with her and every time I came to class she asked how I was feeling. Really cares about her students and wants to see them succeed as long as they want to as well

I know a lot of people don't like her, but she's my favorite professor I've ever had. She makes it very clear at the beginning of the semester that there will be a lot of papers, and she's particular about what she wants, but her feedback is really good. I did extremely well in both her Comm 1 and Comm 2 class, and I wish I could have her again.

A great professor! Sometimes can be a little sharp with her words but genuinely cares. Explains exactly what's expected, gives examples of format, and reviews your work to tell you what to fix before turning in anything. Never had another teacher give you a multiple chances to fix your mistakes on papers before submitting. Hard not to pass w/ an A

Everyone on this site says that she is strict. True I cried in the first week with her but she turned out to be amazing! She is big on teacher expectations, do what she says and you will be fine! She in the only teacher ai have had who cared. Taking her for Comp 2!!

Ms. Renee is a great teacher who genuinely cares about her students. She gives exact instructions for assignments and papers and you will receive a 0 if you don't completely it exactly as stated. If you do the work correctly you will pass the class. Overall she is a great teacher but you cannot miss any assignments or class!

Cheryl is a great teacher. She is a bit strict with grading, but if you do what you need you'll be fine. She's straightforward with what needs to be done. She shows a lot of passion for literature. She's very funny and smart. I feel like her expectations for the papers a little high. I believe I write really good, but not good enough for her.

Easy A if you show up to class and do what she says. The beginning is a little confusing, but over the course it gets much easier and you will understand her better as a teacher. If what she requires seems excessive, know it really will help in the long run. I definitely recommend especially if you want to improve as a writer.

She may come off rough at first but if you stick with her shes actually a very amazing teacher. Will have homework by summarizing stories/ poems but shell go over what she wants. The group project was amazing!!!!

Professor Renee is not for the faint of heart. She can be tough but the way she teaches is fantastic. You will learn extremely valuable lessons that will serve you throughout the rest of your life. This class is not easy, but it is worth it. DO NOT SKIP CLASS EVER. Lots of extra credit.
