Enthusiastic and well read. Her classes are challenging and interesting.

She is the most intersting person I've met in a long time. I'm glad I got to have her as my teacher.

Tis is, in my opinion, the worst teacher I've ever had!I didn't learn a thing!

Didn't learn anything from her. Horrible class, I suggest you drop her class and find another english professor. Theres plenty of better english professors at Cape Fear.
Doesn't seem to be there in the interest of the students.

I'm an English major, and I love literature, but she made me hate it. Terrible, unhelpful, rude instructor. If you end up with her, drop the class and take something else. She's that bad. Run while you still can.
Ms Saba is the first teacher I have ever had that seems like she really hates her students. Almost everything students say is fielded by sarcastic eye movements and completely unhelpful comments. Her class is filled with anti-male sentiments and stories about women being abused - totally not what I expected from a "literary based research" class.
she hates life. and her students. very discouraging
She's hard, but I liked her.
Smart and professional. She's not hard... students are just LAZY!!!
I was openly mocked in front of the entire class for being nervous during a presentation. I think that's all there is to say...
She missed 1 week of class due to "illness" yet publicly scolded a classmate who was sick with the flue. She is not a good teacher, and she needs to learn respect.
Cheryl Saba was my expository writing teacher for my first semester of college. She was very challenging, but I came out of her class a MUCH better writer. She is strict on attendance for all you slackers who can't make it to class.
Not a good teacher...at all.

Ms. Saba was one of the most uncommunicatitive teachers ive ever had. She does a poor jab explaining assignments and gets mad when you ask questions.
Ms Saba is the worst teacher ever. If she doesn't like you she will give you bad grades. She is sarcastic and has favorites. The class wasn't hard, she just sucked at teaching it.
Just like others are saying, Ms. Saba doesn't enjoy her job or her students. She made many comments in my class about how many of us were going to fail, and pretty much said that we were all of low intelligence. All of my papers were outstanding, but I always got a 91- never an A. Class wouldn't be so bad if she'd just lighten up and help.
I had her two-ish years ago and enjoyed it. She was very organized, reasonable, and clear. However, my brother took her last semester and it seems that she's lost her interest in teaching and gotten cynical.
She's tough but fair, I learned a lot from her and she makes an effort to be clear and direct. Go to the first class and make sure your cell phone is off!!!!
Ms Saba is the worst teacher I have EVER encountered in my entire life. I entered this class extremely excited about the papers I planned on writing. ((I enjoy writing very much)). I ended up failing the class because of attendance due to a miscommunication. No leeway, no help, no intelligence. She should be fired from her job immediately.
This is the worst teacher I have EVER had. She changes her syllabus half way through a semester, and offers hardly any help when it comes to assignments. It's her way or no way. DO NOT take this teacher. Trust me, I am regreted it completely.
Shes a really nice person, but assigns random, nonimportant, uselss papers that she doesnt explain well, and when you ask a question she doesnt really answer it, and if she does its in a really round about way thats of no help at all.
way to strict.
Grades unfairly. Does not care for students. She has become very cynical.
unless you can write perfect, no mistake papers dont take this class.
She is really hard and generally unfair. It's like she doesn't want to give anyone an A. She takes too many points off for things that are inconsequential. My class started off with 25, and I think there was just 11 at the end. It is unfortunate because she seems like she could offer a lot to a students, but she can't bring herself to grade fairly
Puts students down rather than constructively motivates them. Misuse of discussion boards by including a grade for an "opinion" in her formula for the class grade. Provides poor instructions and questioning results in ridicule rather than clarification. Students are beneath her, and it comes across in her regard for your personal improvement.
Believe me when I say this, Mrs. Saba is the worst teacher I have ever had in every way possible. I would never advise her to anyone for any reason. She is not understanding, helpful, and there is no reasoning with her at all. I earned three A's and a D in her class during that semester. I learned nothing.
I had her for British Lit. in 2005 and failed the class. The ONLY class I've ever failed. I was going to go through appealing the grade, but when I found out I'd still graduate that semester I just didn't pursue it. I graduated from a FOUR year college a year and a half later. She didn't get the best of me, but definitely the worst teacher ever
I have her right now. I'm had a different experience with her. She does give out a lot of hw, JUST DO IT and it's an easy A. I'm not really a kiss a** but talk to her and get to know her. She is an interesting person and she does care for writing. I recommend her to students who want to improve their skills and that like a dry sense of humor. :)
She was by far the WORST teacher I had ever had. The work was easy enough but she was a nazi with her essays and seemed to forget that we all have lives (like jobs and families) outside of the classroom. Her word was law and if you even attempted to reason with her she shot you down immediately. Also, do NOT trust her.
awful teacher. doesn't care about her students. an overall not nice person. GOOD LUCK to anyone that takes her class. YOU WILL be miserable
Im taking the class now, and while she is hard on her essay's if you simply set up a meeting with her at her office she is more then helpful. Do the homework, and read the assignments you will do fine. I ENJOYED her class alot that class always made my day =D You go ms. Saba!
What an incredible teacher who is so passionate about her work and the people she teaches... she truely cares! By far the best teacher for any subject I have ever had. I am one diehard Saba Fan!
worst teacher ever. DO NOT take her class. you will regret it. She is very misleading and rude.
Took her online course, horrible teacher. I learned NOTHING, did every single thing asked and well and exactly like requested but still got a C. I am an A student. She is rude, defensive and doesn't like her students. She really needs to take a vacation or find a job that makes her happy. I would NOT take this teacher if you want a decent GPA.
She grades unfairly. The only B I have ever gotten in English in my life, and this is not the highest level class I have had, nor was it an extremely difficult class. It really seems like she has it in for certain people from the beginning of class. I was just a couple of points away from an A, She counted points off on a presentation because I did
she was so much fun!! very clear about what she asks of you, i would say take saba !!, the people who don't like her are the ones that dont do the homework or who dont take attendance seriously, she can be sarcastic, but i thought she was hilarious
Her Literature by Women class rocks! I have taken other classes with her and really enjoy her teaching style. She does require much of her students, but she gives much of herself in return. She is more than willing to offer advice and even to meet in the learning lab for help with essays. Take her up on the offer and you will do well.
I had Ms. Saba for English 113 this semester, and once I got over my "back to school" nerves, I enjoyed the class immensely. Most of the readings were interesting, the paper topics were appropriate, and the final presentation was a good culmination for the class. My one dislike was the quizzes for reading. I know the material, but don't test well.
Grades essay harshly, grammar is a big part of your grade when it comes to grading your essay. Not a easy class so be prepared.
Very diffucult when it comes to grading, grammer is her world. The only complaint I have is her grading seems to be very emotional. If she is in a good mood you pass if not then....especially on important essays
Great teacher! The class may be hard but it really does help you become a better writer and student!
Ms. Saba knows her stuff and expects you to learn it. Yes grammar is important since it is a writing class. She can be really fun. I learned a lot in her class.
Do not take this class online. Exams are very difficult and instructor is very demanding and not helpful...Hard Class
MAKES YOU WORK FOR YOUR A. that being said, if u enjoy English, you will like this class. If ur looking for a moderately easy A, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. failed 50% of my quizzes (ridiculously hard) but still made a 92 (grades on 8 pt). Final project was ALOT of work (same goes for 2 essays). Strict on grammar. Very knowledgable!!!
The class was way too much harder than it should have been. But I am sure somewhere in there she is nice... outside of school.
she was hard as crap. she didnt really explain the material as well as she could. when it came to papers you would think you figured her out...not the case whatsoever. she is very tough.
Rude and generally unhelpful. Asked a general question which ended up in a disrespectful email session with her attitude towards students. Never have received a D in English ever. Bases grade off of what she wants to give you and not what is listed in the grade book. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE EVER!
She's a nightmare. Worst Prof I've ever had. She's certifiable, chaotic.EX: takes pts off for grammar of "'s w/in text that authors wrote. Impossible to get a good grade no matter how hard you try. F2F class makes students cry. Online class nasty on DB to students for no reason. THUMBS down for this lady. I really was looking forward to taking LIT.
Will not help or work with students at all. Class itself was easy, just had to fight with instructor to get a good grade. Will never take a class taught by her again.
She comes off as stern and hard to understand but as you get to know her she becomes very likable and a very good teacher. I come to respect her very much and did turn out to learn quite a bit in her class so the first impression I have of her was not correct. I would certainly use her for a teacher in the future if needed.
Ms.Saba is not the worst teacher I have had but she is close to it. when it comes to her essays they are somewhat easy but if you don't understand it then you are screwed. She will tell you your paper is good and then get a failing grade. You better be to class on time NO exceptions. It's basically impossible to get a good grade in her class.
Ms. Saba is a passionate teacher, but doesn't understand that her students have other lives going on and when she does understand, and you try to explain to her, she still is incapable of grasping those facts. She is honestly a horrible english teacher. i would never recommend anyone to take her.
I hate English classes but I got an A. Do the work when she tells you to, pay attention in class and read what you need to read. She's a college teacher, not elementary. She doesn't accept excuses and is very stern with the attendance policy and has a structured schedule.I enjoyed going to her class. If you want an easy class don't take this one
I'm taking an online Literature class with this teacher now. She is very difficult and will NOT work with you. There is no room for error in her class. If you make the slightest grammar mistakes, you can kiss good grades goodbye.
Hers was the first real class I ever took at the college level. I am now a grad student, and looking back I can honestly say I learned a great deal of valuable information from Ms. Saba. The first essay I wrote for her class won me second place in the Portals Literary Magazine! I'm grateful for Ms. Saba's encouragement. To me, she's a great teacher
Ms. Saba totally ruined my English experience and my GPA!! The first month of the semester, my job kept me from getting to class on time by a minute or two once a week. She would literally see me walk in and put her folder up just to keep me from signing it. All semester I had an A average and on the last day she fails me. I was devastated!
Ms. Saba is the worst teacher I have had at Cape Fear yet. If you do not do everything EXACTLY how she wants it, she will give you an F. Avoid taking her class, or you will regret it.
Although ms. saba was a good teacher she is very harsh at grading papers. I took her last semester, which was my first year of college right out of highschool and she killed my gpa with her grades. Everyone i talked to from class said they received a C except one person. Were just students not authors of books, she does not give a break.
Although I ended up with an A in her class, she wasn't very helpful. Overly critical and not very clear on what she wants. Attendance is mandatory and there are is no leeway for missing any classes. Definitely recommend taking someone else, especially if English isn't your brand of vodka.
Really not happy with this teacher. She keeps telling me things I know aren't true such as "I cannot open this file?" Is she running a computer with outdated software? I have received two zeros on assignments so far and we have had three. RIDICULOUS!
I found her to be unhelpful & rather unfair. Even coming off kind of rude at times.. Even ignoring emails regarding the class. She should probably just resign. Or something.
She was not helpful. Not clear at all on what she wanted, even if you emailed asking about an assignment. Her way or no way. If you don't think the same way she does or write like her then your done for.
Super strict, and sometimes slightly unreasonable. In one instance I asked for help and she pretty much blew me off. Not the best English teacher I've ever had.
good teacher, heavy work load
She was rude and incredibly unhelpful. She regularly graded my papers harshly and when I approached her for help she emailed me a link to a website and ignored me from then on.
She is harsh and wants you to follow exactly what she says (writing wise) and if you do not, be prepared to pay for it in a bad grade. She does not give you any slack for simple mistakes. She is not a very nice teacher. To put it shortly: Just don't take her class.
I really enjoyed Ms. Saba's sense of humor and her stories about her chickens. She is not an "easy" A, but if you try and seek her out in the learning lab you can do very well. Whenever I emailed her I always received a prompt response.
She is a terrible person! She refuses to give any feedback, I am a A student and am currently failing her class. I have read every assignment, do all my work, and she tries to make you fail. Her method of teaching is irrelevant because she does not have one. She tells you what to read and gives you a grade, no help, no advice.worst teacer ever!!!!!
She is terrible. Dont take this class if you have a job & go to school full time because the amount of work she gives is awful. Her assignments are confusing and not well thought out at all and she does not explain things. Also don't walk in a minute late because she watches the clock to mark that your late as soon as it's the exact minute of class
Ms Saba..invited me into the wonderful world of writing. Her class was always interesting and comical. Doing your work to the best of your ability was required, but what other way is there?? I found Ms. Saba to be an awesome teacher if your ready to be taught!!!!!!!
Her material was unclear and she was not helpful if I did something wrong. She just makes you feel dumb
Do not take this class online... She's extremely strict on everything.... The smallest mistake earns you zero credit. Her feedback is rare and limited she is rude and not helpful, she makes you feel dumb when trying to learn new topics!
Worst. Ever. She is an incredibly unfair grader and is not helpful at all. She gives very little feedback and when she does it is rude and discouraging. She talks down to you and refuses to accept anything that is not exactly how she would write it. Do NOT take her class. Even if you are regularly an A student, you will struggle to pass.
Ms. Saba really does care about her students but she is an extremely tough grader. If you don't take schools seriously, don't take Saba.
Ms. Saba...... She's a horrible grader, gives a lot of homework... I wouldn't recommend anyone to take her class & lets not forget her sarcasm... You'll need a prayer to get through this class
Whatever you do, do not take this class online. Timeline is strict, which is fine, but not when you're working full time and a full time student. Will make comments on what you did wrong, but will not tell you how to fix the mistakes. I love a challenge and refuse to get pushed down, but I'll never enroll in one of her classes again.
Nice woman. Very demanding class.
I absolutely adore and truly enjoy Ms. Saba. The class environment she has set up is open and free, she takes time to allow her students to have input while also keeping the conversation on track. She sets high standards because she knows that her students are intelligent and capable. Ms. Saba breaks down large assignments and is easy to talk to.
Do not take this class online! She gives little to no directions, and is not afraid to fail you over little mistakes.
Worst teacher I've ever had hands down. Congrats Mrs. Saba
Ms. Saba is a very funny sarcastic woman and I love her outside of class, however she gives way too much homework and is very particular on how she wants you to do things. She stated at the beginning of class on our first day that she rarely gives A's and has never given anyone a 100. I wouldn't take her class unless I absolutely had to.
Difficult but worth it
Cheryl Saba. Wow, I am being extremely serious when I say this. But if anything comes close to really defining the term "a**ho*e", Cheryl would be the epitome of it. I have never endured the lack of disrespect and disregard from any instructor in my life as I did from Cheryl. The Literature Community would laugh at her style & methods of teaching.
DO NOT TAKE SABA ONLINE. She may be better in person, but online her class is overly demanding and extra critical when it comes to grading. Ms. Saba is definitely not a computer person, which is fine, but thus she shouldn't be teaching an online class. They course is disorganized, and takes a long time to figure out what is assigned each week.
Never have had a professor that is so strict, so rude, so unhelpful before. She tells you how it is and does not care for anyone else feelings. The way she does things is if it is not how she wants it and her style then it is wrong in her eyes.
Very strict professor but very nice, funny, and sarcastic. If you procrastinate or hold off on doing work, you won't do well. Uses the required texts for just about all homework, and homework is a regular. Considerate if problems arise, just be sure to discuss with her beforehand.
Ms. Saba is the absolute worst teacher I have ever met. The three tags I chose to describe Ms. Saba don't give it justice. In class, she verbally attacked many students and talked behind their backs. She grades papers harder than anyone I have ever met and complains about her job. She is not caring by any means and refuses to help students.
This is the worse possible professor I have had since I have been in school. If you do not do exactly what and how she wants it, she will give you a 0. She does not care about her students or have any leniency.
Do not take this class. Just don't. So much homework and papers are graded the hardest I have ever seen in my life. She talks about students in a rude and inconsiderate way. Plus, is super unhelpful with questions and unclear with what she wants. Just take a different professor, please.
I have never withdrawn from a class in the history of my college career but I withdrew from this one. Her attitude is absolutely AWFUL and the very specific way she expects you to do things is unlike anything I've ever seen even. I took online classes for the flexibility of the coursework and she chose to open quizzes for only 24 hours. Horrible.
She tries to be nice but Not much help, difficult essays, not clear explanations, homework every day,be ready for stress and anxiety and not knowing what your doing, dont ask for help you wont get anywhere
She has some good and bad qualities. She is accessible outside of class and gave me pointers on improvements. The problems lies in I went from Ds on my assignments to Cs. I really dont know what she expects from second year students. Literally half my class dropped the class and I honestly wish I would have too.
shes very nice & funny just prepare to have homework everyday. shes not very good at explaining things and will barely reply to emails at night or day.
Back in school after a long layoff, and I couldn't pick a worse professor to get your feet wet again. Advice is non-specific, advice is non-specific, grades for assignments are extremely harsh, dropped class halfway through. Wish I'd trusted the prof rating and not taken the class.
I do not recommend this teacher. She made me hate English. She is snarky and does not care about anything.
This is the second time I have taken Saba's class. I'm on the dean's list every semes except for the 2 where I have taken her class. She told us on the first day of class that no one will get an A. She not only grades extremely hard, but she also doesn't give specific feedback. Saba isn't understanding or passionate which is necessary for teaching.
Professor Saba is the hardest professor I've ever had to date. You ever had a professor that just FEELS like they try to make it as hard as possible for students? I give her credit for timely response to emails, but don't dare email her with any questions that can be found anywhere on BB (even if you can't seem to find it) or it'll be your head!
would not recommend. I had missed and assignment (personal problems) and, long story short, when I discussed it with her she said I was too far behind and if I didnt drop the class I would fail. On top of that she never responded to my emails. I said something to her about it and she acknowledged that she had gotten them and chose not to respond.
Don't take her class.
Told class we needed textbooks, but wouldnt specify. Rude in emails. Wouldnt respond. She didnt do group work or try to help us in any way. Overly critical and would call out the class in group emails. (Not by name, but I believe it would be more appropriate to email said students individually.)
One of the most disrespectful teacher I have ever had. She is extremely rude in her emails, her class is not that hard if you do the work but she is very picky on how and when you turn things in, which is fine she is just rude and disrespectful towards her students.
Sarcastic in emails. Rude teacher. Not specfic with instructions on assignments. If you want to pass dont take her.
Worst Cape Fear teacher I ever had. Her emails are rude and sarcastic. She obviously doesn't care about you and just wants to do the least amount of effort possible. I will say she does put effort into her grading and gives some feedback. Avoid her at all cost.
Very tough grader and no mercy. I'm normally an A student and you get very few assignments, but since the grading is so tough it's easy to get bad grades.
Unnecessarily wordy. Gives unclear instructions. No mercy with grading.
She takes her time responding to emails and then is sarcastic or won't answer your question fully. Although her instructions are fairly clear she has a way of making you feel stupid even though you did what she asked. She also grades extremely tough and is not forgivable when mistakes are made.
I failed because I was not turning stuff in it is my fault. When I asked for help on something I'd written down she told me "that is chicken scratch and i won't help you." I have not asked a question since. Made me feel stupid but she is fine kinda funny. Just did not understand and was afraid to ask questions.
Ms.Saba gives tough work and is definitely not easy on grading. To be truthful her class did help me learn a lot, and she gave me very respectful feedback. Normally I do great in English, but this class was very difficult. Take notice of her schedule, it's a little weird!
She requires 2 textbooks that must be purchased separately from the college. A lot of her instructions aren't very clear and she is very sarcastic and even rude when you ask her questions. She has strict criteria for EVERYTHING and is not swayed. Her course load isn't too bad but she gets a lot of her due dates mixed up because she reuses material.
Ms. Saba was rude, Disrespectful, and sometimes downright cruel. I was terrified to ask questions or ask for help. The feedback that I got on my papers was mean. She was sarcastic and made multiple inappropriate comments to our class and jokingly threatened students in a sarcastic way. there is a reason she has 50+ horrible reviews.
She does not accept late work, but she explains in depth the assignments in class and uses personal examples to make them easier to do. Go to class and do your work and she is a good teacher.
I enjoyed having Ms. Saba for British Literature I this semester. There was lots of writing of course and two tests throughout the semester: a mid-term and a final exam. Both were averagely difficult but not too long. She is a tough grader and is strict about MLA format and there are two easy extra credit opportunities to boost your grade.
I had her as a professor back in 2020. The only time I ever dropped a class at CFCC because of how wrongly disrespectful and rude a teacher was to me.
Extremely vague instructions and long pieces of work to do. I am currently in the process of dropping out of this class.
I never leave reviews on professors but I felt this one was necessary. Don't take any classes with this professor! I've never had a more passive aggressive/rude teacher. Be prepared to get a condescending or straight up rude response to any emails asking for help. Gives very little feedback on assignments, and when she does, it's vague or generic.
She will post assignments the day before they are due. Meaning that there was no mention of the assignment's existence at all (yes, not in the syllabus or course schedule either) until it magically appears as due tomorrow... Assignments are very difficult
Gives unclear instructions on assignments. When you email her asking for help, she acts like you're stupid. Gave some good criticisms on work early on but let us know halfway through the term that she would no longer give detailed comments on our work. Why? She didn't say, presumably because we should just know how she wants our work written by now
Prof Saba was simply rude, not understanding, not willing to work with students, and difficult to work with herself. She is funny and a fun person but a horrible teacher. She offers terrible feed back on assignments and absolutely does not care about you, you would think she hates actually teaching.
took a class w/this professor back in the fall. worst class i've taken at cfcc by far. gave us essays basically every week, all assignments were posted last minute, gave minimum feedback if any, and course schedule/instructions were incredibly confusing. not accommodating to any circumstances whatsoever and talked crap about other classes.
You will fight for your life and grade
She gives many assignments that build upon each other, so if you do one part wrong, the rest will be wrong as well. The final essays are a massive part of your grade, so if you don't do it perfectly, you can't bring your grade back up by much.
took a class w/this professor and regretted it. worst class ive had so far. gave us essays basically every week, all assignments were posted last minute, gave minimum feedback if any, and course schedule/instructions were incredibly confusing. not accommodating to any circumstances whatsoever and talks to students like they are incompetent
Do not take 231; instead, take 232 (the only lit class she doesn't teach). No help, and a very harsh grader and the assignments are posted last second (sometimes a day before they are due and are very tedious). I wish I had sacrificed a class to take 232 in person. Don't make the same mistake I did.
If you signed up for any of her classes, drop it before it's too late. It's not worth it, you will likely fail and need to take another English teacher. I'm a straight-A student and had a D. Now, I will be taking 241 with Miller. Waste of time and money.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! No one is over exaggerating how god awful this teacher is. It is by far the WORST class I have ever taken. Ever. There are essays pretty much every week and she posts quizzes they day they are due, despite stating IN HER SYLLABUS that there would be TWO days to complete each quiz. She also pulled this with the final.
Tough grader, but once you understand what she wants and stay on top of deadlines, you'll be fine. I got a 0 once for submitting the wrong file early—she doesn't allow resubmits. But once I started asking questions and getting feedback, my grades improved. Ended with an A. For online, reach out—she'll work with you if you try.
I don't understand the hate for Saba... she can be a little sarcastic, but I can understand why if you do not follow her directions. Rely ONLY on the syllabus for deadlines! Don't understand her grading but she's somewhat lenient. Midterm and final exam were difficult. Please don't wait till the last minute to work on her assignments!
She was really sweet and understanding. English is by far my worse subject and she was flexible and attentive to helping me and my friend out when we struggled writing.
I legit had to withdrawal from the class, I hated it so much. I do well in English and received an A until I called a quits but the prof. didn't see how hard I worked. I attempted to meet with her and there was some kind of miscommunication, she was petty and harsh towards me that day and I never went back. Please save yourself and avoid her.
I wouldn't recommend this teacher to anyone. English is one of my favorite subjects but the professor made it hard for me to enjoy it. I didn't appreciate the professors rude demeanor or sarcastic remarks. I was going to drop the class but I was too late to do so. A student shouldn't feel the need to drop a class due to unprofessional professors.
It's like if you combined a high school mean girl and an old man who's been in a library for 45 years. One word, rude. I saw a girl cry because she snapped at her. Why she's still allowed to teach is a mystery. It's never been more clear to me that a teacher hates their job than with her. You are way better off taking any other teachers class. Evil
Lacks accountability, poor social skills, lacks respect for students, takes pleasure in making things difficult for others. She has made me dread English which has always been a favorite class of mine I'm extremely disappointed in how her class has gone.
Do not take, super unhelpful and teaches via textbook readings.
One of the worst professors I have ever had. Told students to only contact her if needed and that she has a lot of students to deal with. She constantly contradicted herself and would provide little to no real instructions for assignments. Do yourself a favor and don't take her class.
awful. genuinely mean old lady. counts tardies as absences. would be understandable if the class wasn't early in the morning ?? like ok two minutes late and you're beating me up for it girl bye. but do not expect good treatment even if she provides it for others right in front of you. if she doesn't like you, she won't care
This was an awesome class. Me and my twin Mr. Bones took this class and had lots of fun. She's really nice and will help you if needed. Don't listen to the haters.
I don't know why these reviews are so bad! They do not reflect the Ms. Saba I know at all!! She was my favorite teacher this semester, I never disagreed with the way she graded my work. I'm not generally an english person, but I looked forward to this class every day.
Confused on the low ratings? She is an incredible teacher who is fair, organized, and very clear about expectations. Late work isn't a surprise rule - you're given tons of notice. Just don't procrastinate, it's totally manageable and honestly a fun class. She truly wants her students to succeed. One of my favorite teachers I have had!
Fantastic English professor. Very clear expectations, plenty of notice for assignments, and reasonable policies that are often misunderstood in reviews. The work is challenging but fair, and she genuinely cares about student success. Highly recommend.
The negative reviews are misleading. She gives plenty of notice for assignments, clear expectations, and multiple excused absences. She actually wants you to learn and improve as a writer. If you show up, communicate, and put in effort, you will do well. One of the best English professors I've had.
