This woman knows what she is talking about! She IS a walking computer who lives for helping her students understand and will stay at late hours in the night helping you. She speaks in plain english (not professor language that nobody understands). She wrote the book on the stuff...literally!!!

She kind of pissed me off when she would go off on me in the middle of the class for clicking on my mouse, wich was pretty annoying, but as a teacher shes really good and she knows alot and I might take her for some cisco classes I would deffinatly recomend her just dont be clicking the mouse in class, use the keyboard to surf the net XD

She's a cool teacher easy to get along with and easy to understand. If you go to class and participate your off to a good start. The only way you could fail is to miss the class too often and not make up the work.

Cheryl's Advanced Convergent Technology class is one of the hardest, yet most satisfying courses I have ever taken. You will have to put a lot of time into it to succeed with multiple projects to turn in and a very fast pace it is easy to fall behind. At the time the textbook was completely online, yet she did a very good job of teaching.

This was a 12 wk class, a lot of work(projects). Cheryl thinks of students wallet, all books used were online. Points for attendance, quizzes, field trips, project sections. Cheryl is good and wants her students to succeed and encourages. Recommended class change to 16 wks.

Recomend! Strict but fair. Dumbs it down for those of us who need it, yet can banter with the best. Don't expect sympathy, do expect straight forwardness and encouragement. No question is a dumb one.

Great teacher! Good level of energy. Describes/teaches well. The "however", the questions on homework/quizzes online, dont seem proof-read. Sometimes seems like a grade-schooler wrote them. Same with the "lab" material written used in the hardware/software class that have her name on it as the writer, lots of confusing grammar issues.

Cheryl is awesome!! She will help you when you need it. She is available to answer any questions about the class you have her for or other program related help. She is not easy, but if you do your assignments and listen to her you will know what you need to know. She is great and highly recommended!!

Cheryl is insanely knowledgeable in the field, and you WILL learn in this class. You will work hard, but most people make A's if they show up and make an effort. She has a ton of real world experience to share. Tests are challenging but not terrible, there are tons of activities in class that help with mastery and boost your grade.

Prof. Schmidt is one of the best Professors I ever had. This Professor really knows her Computer Networking in Cisco. I highly recommend her for Cisco classes.

Online course was a great chance to study for my Cisco Cert. She has everything online so you can take and teach yourself at your pace. Great example of online training!

Professor Cheryl is amazing definitely Knows her stuff, so fortunate to have been in her class, do not want to miss this class. She definite can help you get into the work force.

Amazing prof, shes sooo sweet and kind, I love her! I am so grateful I had her as a prof! Super easy test, but make sure you study ever little detail, because that will be on the test. Her notes are concise, gets to the point, and simple!

One of the best professors I've ever had. She really cares about the material, and she really cares about the students. Class can still get hard, this is hard material; but Cheryl goes to 130% to try to help you understand. As for qualifications, I got in the habit of checking author lists on IT textbooks for her name. Amazing.

Professor Schmidt is great, she makes sure that everyone understands the material and doesn't get angry if you ask for her to explain something again if you don't understand it the first time. That being said you will work for your grade, and if you want to pass you can't slack off in her class. Overall a great professor.

This professor is responsive and willing to invest time in the students. I took an online hardware course, learned a lot, enjoyed the materials and had no issues.

Her class is really straight forward and follows the syllabus to the T. The test are not hard if you study. The review quizzes at the end of each chapter are pretty much every quiz, midterm, and final. She gives what seems like a lot of work, but you get about 2 weeks to do each section. She responds to emails almost instantly. Would take again.

Take this professor! Stop trying to decide, get your seat before it's too late; you'll thank me! Professor Schmidt is an incredible Professor. I was delighted to take her class(es). She is an apparent expert in her field and is very effective at teaching the material. Wish she could teach every course in my program of study! You will not regret choosing her for CTS1131 or CTS1133. Be ready to read every single chapter in the text book, if you do, the class will flow smoothly, and with the structure provided by the professor, you will learn A LOT! Enroll!!

The subject matter is pretty basic, but you need to really understand it to pass. Weekly quizzes and labs. Online labs done in virtual environment; can take a bit getting used to and can be a bit time consuming. 2 closed-book exams. Professor is very approachable and answers emails quickly.

Professor Cheryl Schmidt is a great professor to have for CTS1133 either online or in campus. Clear on what she is looking for in assignments. Clear teaching lectures. If I am able to I will look for her when I take networking classes. Works with class to make sure we are able to understand the assignments

Prof. Schmidt was a wonderful professor. I had unplanned surgery and she was very accommodating with my makeup work. YOu will have to read the book and to the online labs in uCertify. She gives good prompt feedback and helpful when you have questions.

I took CTS 1133 and 1131 from Professor Schmidt, she was there if you needed help and was willing to help if you reached out to her. She has videos and a tutor who is able to help. I would take from her again I wish she taught all the computer classes. Definitely buy the book you will need it to complete labs and to study for the certifications.

Only received a C because I was irresponsible and didn't complete one of the higher point assignments. She was responsive during all hours of the day. Even kind enough to provide me some guidance on what order to take some of my next few classes to help prepare me better for the more difficult ones. She is an exceptional instructor. And Humble!

I took CTS 1133 and 1131 from Professor Schmidt & probably my favorite college professor I've ever had. When above and beyond, I look forward to taking her again.

Professor Schmidt is awesome! Any questions I had, she responded promptly. She regraded my test when the system marked my correct answers wrong. Shes ALWAYS open to feedback and she really cares about the education of her students. Her assignments are easy to understand. If you put forth the effort, you will pass her class.

I've taken a total of 3 classes with Professor Schmidt and I absolutely love her teaching and wisdom. She always provides feedback. All material for the course she provides through videos or websites. There is no text book for the course. Quizzes are based off the material provided. Easy A in class. Take her if you have a chance.

Prof Schmidt is the best teacher I've encountered while pursuing my Degree at FSCJ. She genuinely cares and wants her students to succeed. In this Infrastructure & Facility Planning class, she was generous enough to provide access to the required CCDA book for free online. The lectures were always informative. She's very knowledgeable. Loved this professor! Do not understand the negative reviews/comments. I took Hardware Config online and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes there was a lot of reading but if you're somewhat familiar with PCs already then this class will be a breeze. Prof. Schmidt was super nice, communicative, and cares for her students! Take her!!

Professor Schmidt is very thorough in what she is looking for as far as assignments, quizzes, and even tests go. Very knowledgeable in her class since she actually wrote the textbooks involved, so there is no fluff and never wing an answer. Read the chapters, do the labs, and you'll pass!

By far, Professor Schmidt is one of the very best in the CIT program. She has a clear grading criteria that is easy to follow and just be prepared to read and stay on top of your lab work. Wasn't at all disappointed and would take again.

Cheryl Schmidt is an amazing teacher. On top of being a great help with Cisco and very accommodating, she helped me with multiple internship opportunities when I was really struggling to find one. If you need a good professor, Cheryl can help you out.

Overall Great teacher. She really knows about the topics very well and has years of work under her belt. Not a boring teacher when she gives lectures, if you take an online class she still invites you to view the live one. Just wish she would do more with the lecture instead of letting us figure out with the MOD how to do it. :/

Cheryl was an incredible teacher, not only is she very savvy in the subjects she teaches, but she's also very helpful and interactive when it comes to doing work in the class. Assignments are few and easy, but still very informative. She also has many connections to help college students find intern work, should they need help with that.

Another class with Professor Schmidt and again I have nothing but praise for her! In this particular case, it's not best to skip around the syllabus much as one chapter builds upon another and she follows a direct sequence in her exams. Do study hard, but don't be intimidated with the amount you need to read. Will definitely take her again!

One of the top classes I've taken, especially among online classes. There were extra credit opportunities, feedback was good, grading was done in a timely manner. She even gave an assignment where you could choose what you wanted to do to give some creative freedom. The exams were not too heavily weighted so anxious test takers need not worry.

I can't say enough positive things about Professor Schmidt! The class was designed well, the labs were engaging and helped solidify any reading we had to to, her lectures are always entertaining, and overall she provides an excellent environment to learn about all things Cisco! HIGHLY recommend her for any class, especially Cisco 1, 2, and 3!

I am new to the online course system. That said, I quickly found Professor Schmidt to be very engaged with her students and one of the most responsive professors I've had here. The assignments were clearly laid out. When I had an academic question, she was quick to answer. When I had an unexpected health issue, she was both empathetic and fair.
