Love her-I will take her for as many classes as offered. She makes things fun and interesting in what could be a very boring class.

She is definitely not a pushover, however, if you go to class, take good notes, and study for the test, you should make an A. She is an AWESOME professor who loves what she does and genuinely cares about her students, unlike some of the professors here. Take her for as much as you can!!!

I went into Hist 326 disappointed another prof wasn't teaching it, but I ended up loving Dr. White and am so glad she taught this class. Her lectures are interesting and dynamic. Tests are all subjective, but if you take notes and study you'll be fine. Highly recommended.

I really dreaded taking this course, however, Dr. White made this an awesome class! History is now part of my major. She is fun and entertaining. She is definitely not a pushover, however, she will bend over backwards to help you in any way that she can! LOVES what she does!! HIGHLY recommend!!!

Dr. W is great! Just pray you can take her for 299 if you have to take it. Don't get me wrong, I think my other history teachers are great, but she just made a very stressful class a lot easier to get through and digest. She is an interesting, funny, and helpful teacher. Don't hassle her about 299. It is useful and she helps you through it!!!!

Class attendance is very important so you don't miss a lecture and get behind. I am not a history major. but I would still recommend Dr. White.

Dr. White is the greatest teacher at LSUS PERIOD!!! She is very helpful. The tests were not hard at all if you just study your notes. The book was also helpful to clarify some missed notes but mainly rely on her notes. The identifies on the tests are a great way to rack up some points if you screw up on the MC. I heart Dr. White!!!

Dr. White is one of the best professors I've had. If you pay attention, take notes, and take time to study for her tests, you'll be fine. She tells you everything that is on her tests. She gives you opportunities to give bonus, which not many professors do. I passed with over 100 because of the bonuses. If you plan to take Western Civ, take her.

Wow and WOW. Cannot say enough good stuff about this class and this professor. Certainly knows her stuff better than anybody I've ever seen and is so entertaining you forget you are in the classroom. Laughs, loves her work and makes you love it too!! The best.

I wouldn't take a history class with any other professor unless I had to. Dr. White is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about history and it shows in her lectures, which are always entertaining - she doesn't recite; she's a storyteller, and a great one at that. The class is impossible to fail if you are studious.

I went back to school at age 53 and dreaded taking history after so many years post high school, but OMG! This professor is simply amazing. I can't wait to make it to her class daily. Her style is so unique and very effective. My daughter had history under her and suggested that I enroll in her class. Thanks daughter!

Unbelievably informative class and this woman has so much knowledge she could crush entire towns with the weight of her brain. Approachable, smart, funny as hell but not easy. If you can't study, don't take an upper level class with her.

Awesome class! Even though I already loved history I can totally see someone hating history loving her class. She made the information very modern and easy to understand. Tests are very straight forward and she gives plenty of bonus to help out with anyone having a hard time.

Over the years, scientists have studied Cheryl White extensively and concluded that she is objectively the greatest professor in the history of the world.

Don't remember the section #, but it was the 2nd West. Civ. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher! She is sarcastic, but not in a discouraging or disparaging way (more like flat-out hilarious). Show up everyday, or most days, and you won't need the text. Tests are thorough but not terribly difficult. All teachers should model themselves after her.

Dr. White is way too intelligent to be teaching at LSUS....she is unbelievably interesting and KNOWS what she is talking about. Her love and interest for History is so impressing.

I went into her class expecting to hate her because my sister did but found out pretty quick that my sister is crazy and it is impossible to do anything but love Dr. White! I haven't taken my final yet but I'm expecting a low A or a high B. It is a class that requires studying but only because there's so much material. highly recommended.

Dr. White is quite knowledgeable about a wide variety of areas of history. Take her if you want to learn the subject, studying is required. Can be easy but she's not just gonna give out an A. Don't just do the required essay parameters from the text, do some research.

Cheryl White is the BOMB!

THE BEST PROFESSOR I'VE HAD YET. I'm not a big history fan, but Dr. White made this class super interesting. If you go to class, you should pass. Her lectures are the entire class length but they are interesting, funny, and on point. You do NOT need the book for this class, at all. Her tests are super easy if you have attended lecture.

Class was interesting. All material for tests is given during her lectures. Textbook isn't required. She makes most things clear what will be on the test because she'll repeat it over and over. Come to class. You'll fail if you don't take notes from her lectures.

Everyone knows that this woman is one of LSUS absolute BEST professors. You won't have anyone who lectures better or is more entertaining in her approach to history. Lots of depth to her knowledge and she doesn't suffer fools at the upper level, so be prepared to work your butt off. Would absolutely take her for anything she taught.

Very clear from the beginning of the course. Gives multiple extra credit assignments and DOES NOT make you memorize any dates like most history classes do. Tests are on what she goes over in class, and gives plenty of reminders for assignments and test coming up. Highly recommended teacher.

So fun! The subject matter is already pretty interesting and she challenges you to really think. She is intelligent, classy, funny. So obvious she loves what she does. I want to be just like her when I grow up!

Go to class take note pay attention and an A/B is guaranteed. She gives bonus opportunities. She also does a review before the test. Test are easy as long as you study. A friend never came to class except on review days, she used my notes and passed with an A. No book is neccesary if you pay attention

If given the choice between taking hot coals and listening to one of Dr. White's lectures again, I would take one of her lectures.

Took her online during the summer. It wasn't hard, but it was a lot of busy work. I would have much rather taken her class on campus. Every week we had a reading assignment and a discussion board post due, and every other week she will throw in an extra assignment. At the end of semester she gave you an opportunity to do a bonus assignment.

Professor White is probably one of my favorite professors on campus! She is so good at lecturing and really knows what she is doing. Her tests are easy and attendance is not mandatory. Her power points are online but you would need to be there for the lectures so you can fill them in. Her review days could be more better but overall love her!!

I have hated history my whole life but this amazing woman brings it to life. Every lesson is a story so it's easy to follow along but it is challenging because she won't spoon feed you test answers, it is important that you have a solid grasp on the material. She is also very funny and easy to pay attention to. 10/10 would recommend for anyone.

She does not take attendance but I still attended class every day, just because she made it that interesting. Did poorly on the first exam but I met with her and discussed it and did great for the rest of the semester. Hilarious and she obviously loves what she teaches. Would recommend her to anyone, definitely taking her again!

She is very clear at the beginning of the semester on what is expected. Attend class, because there wasn't a text book this time. Made it more difficult for me due to being a person who likes to take notes then read a text book to bring all material together. I recommend printing the slides in note form so you can follow along with her lectures.

Before I went into Professor Cheryl white history 106 class , I thought history was boring and irrelevant, to be quite honest. But Professor white makes every story come to life.!! I wish I could have taken her again :(. We didnt really use a text box, and her tests are quite easy once you study the notes. Get you will get an easy A or B!!

If you don't come to class you absolutely will fail, but her lectures are SO interesting. I hated history before her, now I look forward to going to class. If you study you'll get an easy A. She's hilarious and so sweet. She offers one or two bonus assignments along with a few multiple choice tests. Take her!

Had her for two classes in the same semester. Made both classes interesting. Attendance is important to her and for success in her class. Lectures are long and all PowerPoint but not horrible. Lets class out early and does reviews. Very few grades in the class and are all tests. Not the easiest but definitely NOT the hardest. Bonus points often!

You can print off slideshows that the lectures are based off of, if you do not show up for class you will not have the information needed for exam. Three exams all multiple choice, all information given to you through lectures.

Professor White's class is a particular easy class. I personally do not care for her as a professor considering I have reached out to her on multiple occasions concerning the course but received no answer. I prefer when professors care about their students enough to respond.

Amazing lectures, but you have 5 total grading opportunities. One is an easy 100 point meme project, and the others are unit exams. The tests are incredibly easy if you go to the review day, in fact, you don't really have to even go to the lectures, as long as you make review day. Still, I totally recommend you go to the lectures, they're amazing!

I completely loved this class and this professor. She obviously truly loves this subject and is at home in it. She brings it alive so you feel like you could be there! My only complaint about her is that she does not teach everything I must take.

Fantastic lectures, she is really able to make the course content engaging and exciting to learn, even at 8 in the morning. Work every week, including short-mini essays every week. Highly recommend any of her classes. (She really prefers note taking on paper, it will help with writing assignments in class).
