This class was the best out of all the Math classes I've taken at Bryant, and even more so considering it's also the ONLY 8:00 class I've ever taken at Bryant.

Professor Piascik is a good teacher because he explains concepts very well and is always available if you need extra help. Attendance counts and if you do bad on quizzes they don't count.

Explains very clearly. Always available for extra help. Never any suprises on test. Homework is optional but for your benefit. As long as you study your straight.

Great guy....I have taken him for 3 semesters....Gives you clear notes and nothing on his tests are a surprise....Quizzes only count as bonuses....he only teachers early morning classes but if you dont mind waking up you should take him

great class if you're bad at math-he explains things really slow and goes over everything twice. doesn't check homework and your grade is based on 3 exams and the final & he gives out optional quizzes which boost your grade.

My man Chester Piascik. He is the best professor at this school. He explains the topics very well. Homeworks are not collected but are good for practice. Piascik is God.

He knows his stuff, but his tests are LONG! Minitab assignments do bring up your grade, so I would take him again.

CHESTER! what an incredible teacher, explains in extreme detail, laughs at his own little remarks, and is probably the best professor i will ever have, tests and quizzes are easy, just do your homework

Chester is the man. If you don't catch on to math very easily, he's the guy to take. While things can get slow, he's entertaining to listen to and you'll get the material. Random extra credit quizzes, 3 long tests and an even longer "semi-cumulative" final

He is THE MASTER. Dont worry if you suck at math, after he was done with me I have some skills! He can teach it to you but material is hard.

Much more difficult than the prerequisites, but he was still very clear. I would not take any other math professor. He has a plan on what you need to know and he sticks to it. Does not want to fail anyone and is willing to help you along. You will be there for the entire class and there is always a lot of homework It is all relevant th though.

He's a great teacher. Very thorough. Takes him a full class to explain one concept. Bombed my first test, but aced the next two. Show that you care about the class and he'll give you a good grade. He's the man!

His examples are through yet simple so they wont trip you up. He does everything he can to help you out on the exams and any homework he collects is purely extra credit. He also upps your grade at the end of the semester if you have shown effort throughout the semester.

I made it through the required math at Bryant because of this man; an absolute genius when it comes to teaching. He only does morning classes, but it is absolutely worth it if you are not good at math - this man will get you through it. One of Bryant's best.

Chester is the man! He is very clear on topics covered and goes over them thoroughly. He is always willing to answer any questions on the optional homework. Gives optional bonuses that get averaged and added onto your FINAL AVERAGE. Highly recommend him, second time I took him. Just do the hw at some point before the exam and do ALL optional bonus.

This guy is one of the better math teachers I have ever had. He made it easy, I'm just a slacker and didn't study. Just study for an hour before each exam and you breeze through. O yeah and there are just 4 exams that determine your grade which is pretty sick. Extra credit is pretty easy too! Do it!

Chester is an awesome teacher! He's east to understand, and explains everything. I suggest everyone take him. You don't have to do your (optional) homework until right before the test, and he gives a LOT of extra credit!

Piascik is a pretty good teacher. He gives very detailed notes. The tests are long and you do not need to do the homework. The class is pretty easy.

Took Chester's class 25 years ago and found these ratings when looking for my college age son ... Chester was the best teacher I ever had. Was math Phobic until I took 1st class with him but ended up taking every Math class he taught as open electives. Still have my calculus notebook ! He made teaching math an art form. will never forget him.

got to be honest. actuarial major, 4.0 gpa in major, 3.61 gpa overall, never got below an A in a math course at bryant, here or before here, took Exam P, passed it my first try, HIGHER than the minimum 6 for passing, have piascik now for actuarial stats III, i hav a B in his class, B+ with bonus. gotta b honest, i have a tough time with his tests

Chester is the man. i took him for 105 106 and stats and got A's in all 3 classes....show up, take notes, and do the hw (5-10 min a night) and get a A.....easily the best math teacher in this history of math....the man period

Chester's my boy! Easy class. Take notes and do the homework if you want. Unique mix of a really easy math class and stuff you actually remember. Bummed out when I could'nt even get this guy at 8 o'clock. Would have definitely woke up in the morning for that class.

Chester is the cutest little old man I have ever met. Really cares and will try to help every student. Tells everyone who asks a question that it was a "great question". Go to class, take notes, do homework problems and it will be a piece of cake.

Hands down the cutest old man in all of Bryant. His class is really easy as long as your don't fall behind. The homework is basically optional for math 105. His tests aren't hard and he also has bonus quizzes! Try and stay away from the 8ams since those can get a little boring.

He is by far the best math teacher at the school. Trust me I dropped math 4 times before pulling out a B freaking plus in calc 2. He is everything what a professor should be. Clear lectures, helpful in and out of class and utilizes fair hw and exams. He is so nice and humble that you should feel bad for missing/skipping his classes.

This is the best math professor at Bryant. He's the nicest guy I know and isn't tough at all. His teaching is great and crystal clear. I feel badly about showing up to class late every day, but he never said a word or punished me. He's a great guy. 3 years later I'm writing this review and I can still say he's one of the best I've had.

GREAT PROFESSOR! Teaches math the way it should be taught! Takes complicated material and makes it easy to comprehend. He also tries to give you extra points and easy questions so you do well. One of the best professors I have had!

Best math teacher I've ever had. I specifically requested him for every math I needed to take. Doesn't move on until you understand and always explains clearly. Tells you why/where you can use what you're learning! Cute old man, corny jokes, wish I could take him home with me!

Simply put the best professor EVER!!!! So kind and it is obvious he loves teaching. He always encourages questions and answers them in a clear and courteous manner. Gives real world examples and makes this VERY difficult subject almost easy. Did I mention BEST professor EVER!!!!!

Crystal clear...tests are kind of hard because they are long. He throws in some weird questions that we've never gone over but he wants to see if you understand the concept as a whole! Otherwise, great guy!

EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! TAKE HIM! Math is my weak area and he is the best math prof. I have had. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and consistently clear. Fair grader. If you struggle with math def. take him. Explains everything perfectly. No book for this course, he provides you with all hw, and only tests on what he lectures. Show up, take notes!

Professor Piascik is a nice man, but he was really bad at teaching this upper-level course. Didn't explain concepts well, doesn't show coding on a computer, no review before exams, and writing is illegible. You'll most likely leave class with no idea what you just sat through. The exams were very long, although not too difficult. Overall, not good

You have to attend class, because there is no book! Gives out a ton of handouts. Tests are LONG, not hard. He will end up scaling every test because everyone fails because you have 50 minutes to complete a 1.5 hour test. He will answer every question and encourages questions. Great professor. Would love to take him again and you learn!

Professor Piascik isn't a hard teacher, I just found the class hard. However, he was very understanding and met with me a couple of times and helped me out with boosting my grade. He will go over anything you ask in class. The only thing that sucks is the whole grade is based on 4 exams so you dont have homework or quizzes to boost up your grade.

One of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of having. He explains everything very thoroughly, and always welcomes questions. He is always willing to provide extra help. His class is great only thing graded is 4 exams that are never really that bad. He also lets you bring a cheat sheet with notes on it so if you go to class and study a little bit you should get an A.

I took several courses Chet offered including Calculus and Statistics back on the late '70s and early '80s. He was extremely thorough, caring and used a building block process to build on what you know. I graduated 38 years ago and Chet was one of best of Bryant professors I had, who remained on the top of my list two generations later!
