Good guy but he has a weird personality. the essays are easy but the research paper is a killer. Don't wait until the last minute. He's helpful aslong as you do your work and don't act like a jerk.

VERY LAID BACK PROFESSOR! Ulike other comments, he cares how good of a research paper you can write, NOT BY PAGE NUMBERS (I turned in a 15 page paper and got an A)! His essays were a little challenging though, but he'll walk you through it.

His class is very well put together and is enjoyable if you like to write. Not a lot of tests!

Easy, but a WACKJOB!

Nice guy, very weird. Tons of easily graded essays during the semester. I dont think he even reads them. But you need good grades on them to cancel out his ridiculous grammar tests every week. I think everyone hates his 20 page research paper. Very anal about the organization of it.

He is VERY strange, but hilarious. i had a great time in his class. i didn't mind all the writing since he was pretty helpful and gave a very clear syllabus and plenty of time to do everything. lots of essays, but overall, not a hard class.

Not a very good teacher. He rambles on and on about nothing important. He probably believes that there's such a thing as a stupid question. However, VERY easy grader. He mainly checks that the essays fit the requirements, nothing else really matters other than minor grammar. He's also very open to help and does think of the students' best interest.

Yes, he's eccentric, but he's a good teacher. He does not make up the grammer quizzes and while they are a pain, they are intended to make you a better writer. The research paper is mandatory for any EN 102 class - not just his. He gives ample time to complete assignments and grades fairly. Also gives 2nd chances to correct first submissions!

He is a very easy professor, however he can talk for hours and keep you after class to talk about his personal life(tickets for the plane,what he ate this morning..ok you get the pic, things that students dont care to know about) but overall, if you want an A take him! He's not a hard grader if you do the papers you r guaranteed to get the A!

Best professor at MC!!! He is very helpful and flexible (Very important when you work full-time and go to school at night). His papers are not too hard, syllabus very efficient and clear, and the grammar quizzes every week, well, just study the book and you will be fine. He also gives second chances for the quizzes, which is awesome.

This teacher was pretty easy. But you have to get like 6 or 7 different books throughout the class. There's an essay due every other week. He grades very easy though. The only hard thing was his grammar quizes that he doesn't even make himself. They were hard for me. He can be pretty boring and I really didn't learn anything but I got an A

Great prof & nice guy! Learned a lot about writing a research paper which undoubtedly will come in handy later on. Very relaxed classroom atmosphere. My recommendations: study the grammar chapters (takes ~1 hour) for weekly quizzes, write all papers and turn them in on time, and start the 10,000-15,000 word (!) research paper EARLY. geek.

awesome. easy. extremely sarcastic...can be funny at times, can be rude at times. but overall, his 101 class is an easy A. essays are much of the time based on telling a narrative about yourself. this class is a piece of cake compared to many others. definitely take his classes.

i dont know why people complain about this prof. Yes his jokes may be a little weird, and his assignments may not be the best but you dont have to read huge books to write your essays.He gives out movies for your essays.I missed like 2 essays and got an A. His jokes are a little off and he doesn't give clear answers to questions but over all a good teacher. The assignments and essays are time consuming but as long as you show you care and turn your assignments in you will pass.

He is one of the greate profesor I have had. Just do his assignment and pay attetion when he teaches. Give you many writing assignments. Even you don't get them back, it is really raelly good practice to write. If you do all his assignment You learn and get definete A.

Professor Pryor is a hilarious professor. He is so considerate. What makes him different from the others is that he is not making your life miserable with many hard and long assignments. I wish I would have taken him for EN101 but It was great to take him for EN102. Turn in your papers on time and don't miss any class. These are all you need.

Prof. Pryor is an excellent educator. He knows that in order to get better at writing all you need is to write, so he gives a great deal of journal topics that will help you develop your writing making it fun. Turn your work on time, show up to class all the time, listen to his lectures for his humor and you"ll enjoy the class, and get an A.

Each class involved one writing assignment and a couple of out of class papers. It seems like a lot but as long as there is time management it is easy. Professor Pryor is easy to talk to and ask for help. If there is an issue with completing assignments, talk to him and he will help you find a positive solution.

He is so nice and really funny too. He understands that most students have a busy life out of school and eases up on the work load and required word count. Everyday in class you get short readings and need to respond in varied word count min 200, max 800 depending on the day. Do your weekly journal assignments and turn in your daily writing to ace.

He's actually very nice, the people who rated badly on his course still passed but that's because he makes 102 very easy, which can be good and bad, it is my second time taking this course ( just switched professor ) his class was the one I passed , I HATED English but he lets us basically free write. Do all the papers and you'll pass!

Professor Pryor was a great English professor! I purposefully took his class for both EN101 and EN102. He was comical and allowed us to free write which helped with improving my writing skills. He will expect a steady stream of papers and there is a great deal of reading but it prepares you for other courses in college that expect the same.

Professor Pryor is the best because he understands that English is not for everyone. His class is not that hard. He rambles a lot but he makes all of the assignments very easy. He was a very good professor and understands that students have lives so the deadlines are flexible. Provides clear instructions and is very quick with email responses. The hardest thing was having to do the research paper at the end, but if you start early it is not a problem.

I had this professor for both English 101 and English 102. His classes can be stressful at first because he talks a lot and often does not make sense, but dont drop him!! I dont think he even reads the essays he assigns, so as long as you submit everything you will have an A. His deadlines are also veeeery flexible!

I am so in love with his class, that I wait for my class. Easy pass, do the homework, and yes you can late submit with your reasons. kind and very informative gives extra credits too. Must take his class and he is like a father to his students.

Professor Pryor gave me a very unique experience. He was like a cowboy from the Wild West who always shot from the hip. Luckily, I really liked him. He was very clear with what he wanted from us and very flexible with our schedules. Just DO NOT INTERRUPT HIM. Also, its best to let him ramble, he will eventually stop. Youll get some good stories.

Took his class for eng 101 & now for eng 102, U wont regret. Don't miss his class & submit ur work on time & you would get an easy A. In class essays, out of class essays (1500-2000) words and 1 research paper. Make sure u have all in class essays u submit with the topic written & saved, out class essay & research paper submitted in your portfolio.

Prof. Pryor does His best to make His class enjoyable and accommodates students' schedules who work. I would take Pryor's class again if I could, but there are a lot of papers you have to write, so get ready to read and write!

Professor Pyror was a really good teacher. I took a 7 week class and the class wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. You write a paper every class but they are mostly narratives so they are easy. You can turn essays late but with reason. I think he was very lenient because we had a short amount of time with him.

There is a ton of writing each class, so you WILL be writing each class, a ton of writing outside of class, and a research paper due at the end of the semester. "So many papers" but it mainly totals up. I took his class and he gives you writing time in class and honestly the whole class period is enough to finish a paper. You write a paper per day practically and have outside of class papers that feels like a lot. He enjoys making jokes and can get off topic sometimes but I think he's a great professor.

LOTS of writing, a small paper after every class and then 1 large paper every 2 weeks with the final being a 20ish page research paper. A more independent-based class and it's more for practice than for learning. Pryor is super condescending and sarcastic but you learn to love the humor. Super easy grader and if you turn in the work :)

Not being able to see my grade or even turn in assignments on blackboard was annoying. This professor does talk a lot so be ready for that. There were also a lot of papers to do with the research paper being a hastle to complete. Overall though he was very nice and he isn't a very harsh grader.
