He is the kind of professor that doesn't put a burdden on the student and he is always willing to help and to give another opportunity. I love him.

Very knowledgable person. He is willing to listen to other points of view openly and without judgement. He is fair and friendly, and animates his students. His class is highly recommended.

This man replaced Abdoh when I took him. He knows what he is talking about and very organized. The only drawback is that he takes himself way too serious. You'll learn, but it's like walking on thin ice the whole time.

One of my favorite professors. First half of semester is small written assignments. Second half involves one story from every member of class followed by critiques by everyone in the class. Very managable, I learned a lot.

Fair grader. A fan of creativity and hard work. You wont get off that easily if you think your just gonna slack off. Very encouraging and is not opposed to class discussion. A fan of opinions too. He lets your peers anonymously evaluate your speeches which is pretty kool. He's honest and sticks by his word. I definately recommend him.

One of my favorites ever. As long as you have no problem showing up to class, handing in your assignments, and participating to the best of your ability, you will do extremely well. To top it off, I'm still in touch with him 4 semesters later. I still consult him for advice on stories I'm writing.

Workload is low and for the most part he chooses good reading material. Easy grader. Be warned though that he is extremely sarcastic. If you are quickly bored with bitter cracks at religion and politics you might want to pass.

really easy, not hard at all, very funny. Take his class not much work and easy grader, he likes when people comment and participate in class.(fist time i pass an english cours in my entire life with an A). thats how easy he is, very short papers not long at all, the longest one is about 7 pages, take his class!!

My favorite professor. He gave me the only A+ I've ever gotten. Easy class. Very helpful,personable,friendly and encouraging. Four semesters later we still keep in touch and I run all my story ideas by him. We even meet for coffee. Take his class.

Best teacher at city hands down. i really hate english but he made this class very interesting and fun. gotta visit this guy plus omg he gave me an A what!

BEST Professor during my freshman year. Had him for speech and creative wriiting. Very caring, funny, intelligent and engaging. Very creative with class lessons, and loves group discussion. He doesnt take BS, meaning, dont try to give him the "i couldnt print out my paper" bc u ddidnt do it. he will say oh well and move one. LOL! The BEST!!

I wish I could take more classes with him. Too bad he only teaches undergrad. He is GREAT. YOU will Love him

Prof. Kozlowski is really chill but gave me too much work for me to handle. He would tell us to read a book in one week but I didn't have time because of my major and plus, he only controlled half of the course.

Cool guy. He likes to begin class with a story. Everyone has to tell at least one story throughout the semester. No textbook req but he does give out a lot of short stories to read. Also, be prepared to write 10 pieces of fiction and take about 3 quizzes. For the final you have to write a 10pg story. He's a fair grader and very helpful.

Wonderful professor. He has a large knowledge historical knowledge base, and shares it in literary context. Always available to help students, encourages great in-class discussions/debates, and cares very much about his students.

The class is very easy as long as you have confidence to stand up in front of people and give a speech. NEVER EVER show up late for your speech, he will NOT be happy. He's easy to talk to and makes the class environment comfortable.

Excellent instructor. Taking his Advanced Fiction Workshop in Spring '12, after taking Intermediate in Summer '11. Super intelligent, structured, funny, generous and down-to-earth. I propelled forward as a writer in just 4 (intensive) weeks. Reading material is on-point; makes you write in class. Welcomes all types of writers. Highly recommended!

he is awesome! just go to class and rehearse before your speech date! he makes the class entertaining and has us all participate in quick 30 second speeches about a topic. it's fun and it gets you prepared. he even gives full examples on his own of how your speech should be. great prof!

Rehearse your speeches (all four) before class and you'll be fine. He grades fairly and gives you his rubric & expectations for each speech beforehand (which he uses to grade you). He is also funny and has interesting 30 second speech prompts so you will enjoy coming to the class.

AWESOME PROF.! He was clear on everything. Made every class fun. Make sure to practice your speeches and make the time limits. I always did good. Not a hard grader. He is also VERY helpful. One person had trouble speaking english and Kozlowski said he can practice and re-try another class. Extremely understanding. AND FUN. One of the best!!

Easy reading section of freshman English class. There was a lot of reading-5 Pulp Fiction novellas in quick succession. Keeps the class entertained with well produced lectures filled with information and video clips. 1010 would recommend!

Easy and relaxed class. Has a great personality and will really boost your confidence in public speaking. Total four speeches: introduction (3-5 mins), demonstration (5-7 mins), special occasion (4-6 mins), and persuasion (7-9 mins). One easy quiz early in the semester. One pg review of a CCNY theater play (half letter grade off if not completed).

Only 1 pop quiz. Speeches are easy, but I think incorporating humor into your speech will get you a higher grade. He only requires 1 of 2 theater reviews, and still got an A-. Don't be absent 4 times, or you'll fail the class. Textbook is not required since he covers everything in class.

Professor kozlowski is the best!! He is funny and likes to engage with his students. He starts the class by asking a question and gets a conversation going before he starts the lectures. 4 speeches that are not too long. He's an easy grader but only allows up to 3 absences and you fail within the last one. So go to class! Overall rally fun class!

Best Professor I have taken at CCNY, helped me learned how to better my writing.

I took him for creative writing and he's a great professor because of how well he introduces students to the craft. His classes are heavily based in short story writing so if you're a poet like me some of his classes can be tedious. However, he is a fair and easy grader. I handed in a crappy story for the final and I still got a good grade.

Very good professor. Opens up the class by asking a question. Usually ends class with 30 second speeches . 4 speeches overall. Attendance is mandatory. No cell phones allowed what so ever. Speeches are really fun. This class definitely helped me improve as a speaker. Recommend !

Mr. K is definitely one of my favorite professors! He's a really funny guy and he cares about his students and likes to get to know them better. He always starts the class by asking fun questions and it makes us feel relaxed and ready to study. No homework - only quizzes based on the readings done and a final paper at the end of the semester.

If you need to take a speech class, you should take him. Only 4 speeches and he's a pretty easy grader, got A's on all my speeches. He does 30 second speeches most of the time at the end of class which is pretty fun. One theater review due at last day of classes. Other than that, it's an easy A.

Took this professor for an English class - Horror Literature. Lots of reading. Fair grader. Attendance a must. He expects you to participate. A quiz on the readings every class.

The grade is based on 4 speeches, a 1-page paper, and participation/attendance. This class is easy unless you get anxious when presenting/talking in front of a group of people. Easy A.

Prof. K is super chill and knowledgable about so much, making the class really enjoyable. You take a lot away from his class and readings even if they aren't something you usually read. He makes every class unique and intriguing, and overall he's just a really nice guy! I loved this class and gained a lot from it, I always felt ready to engage.

Professor Kozlowski is by far one of the best professors CCNY has. He tried his best to make everyone feel comfortable with icebreakers and his feedback was constructive but very insightful. My class was half in-person & half online; he genuinely made an effort to be flexible with all his students, which I appreciated immensely. 10/10 for me!

Prof K is amazing, with zoom and being online its hard for me to feel engaged and involved in classes but he makes sure everyone feels included and were able to engage with the class work. Hes very funny and the class is honestly great!

Great professor. Participating is easy, just give your opinion. You will have text to read every week and quizzes. But he is very passionate and a nice professor. Also attendance and participation is important. If you can handle weekly work, youre fine.

Kozlowski is a fun and knowledgeable guy. With this online class, you see him once a week and the other days you would need to read what was assigned and do a quiz on it. About 13 quizzes, and 2 papers. If you don't read, you can fall behind and be embarresed in front of class when he calls on you.

A great professor.

He definitely knows what he is talking about and is a really nice person to have a conversation with. He strongly encourages participation so if you don't like speaking up don't take this class. He has pop quiz every day, but as long as you read material you'll be fine. At first seems very strict but if you just actively listen you'll be fine.
