You will learn a lot from him, but he expects you to be a grown up and be able to read the book and learn the definitions and such on your own. He'll answer questions on the book, but you have to ask. Otherwise, he gives interesting lectures and you will learn more than just the chapters. Don't take him if you can't do the book independently.
You definetely need to be willing to do work on your own. He explains things in the book with real life situations and his lectures are really interesting. He knows a lot of random facts! Tests are purely from the book and require knowing all the material, they can be tricky. He is helpful if you take the initiative.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. HE DOES NOT HELP YOU WHEN YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, AND WHAT HE TALKS ABOUT IN CLASS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT IS ON THE TEST. HE ENDS EVERYTHING HE SAYS IN QUESTION FORM AND EXPECTS YOU TO ALREADY KNOW WHAT HE IS GOING TO SAY. WHEN IT COMES TO TESTS YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER 5 THICK CHAPTERS WORTH OF MATERIAL AND THERE IS NO STUDY GUIDES.
Nice guy, interesting lectures, have to be able to study on your own. He won't baby you or the class.
Professor natesan has interesting lectures. Going to class was, but the subject maretial completely Irrelevant to materical for the exam. He urges you to read from the book, "all tests come directly from the book." Except I found myself struggling with the exams- having read from the book.
nothing related to the book... exams are online "straight from the book" .. 50 questions= 50mins.. i freaked out every time!
he's a nice guy. makes his lectures very intresting. his lectures wont help u in exams or final. u have to read the book. he will tell you this throught out the semester. his quizes and exams are fairly easy if you study, tests are posted online, its open book. hint: his quizes and exams are mostly on terminolgy. know those and you will b good
he has very interesting lectures. tests were fairly easy since its open book, cant complain. he does curve a little, but you must study hard for the tests.
I can honestly say he is the absolute worst professor I have had since coming to TXST. He does not teach at all; anything he discusses in class has nothing to do with the the material on the tests. You are better off just taking the class online and teaching yourself from the book. That's what you'll end up doing anyway, if you take Natesan.
absolutely worst teacher ever! His tests and homework are all online and you only get barley 50 minutes for the exams and the questions are worded very confusing. I went to every class, did every homework assignment, made flashcards. His lectures have nothing to do with the test. You have to teach yourself out of class in order to pass
Not sure how people managed anything less than an A in this course. As long as you read and take notes over the chapters and do the connect assignments, all the exams are easy A's. Attendance isn't neccessary although he does do a good job of applying marketing concepts to real-world examples. He has an Indian accent but he's easy to understand.
Has a different way on teaching but if he sees that you are putting the effort in then he will help you out. Make sure to do all of the easy A assignments they help boost your grade!!
This professor is decent. He does not use Power point, His expectations are not clearly stated, but He does have good humor. All work is done online. If you enjoy teaching yourself material this is the class for you, otherwise I would recommend someone else.
Lectures have nothing to do the test, all homework due weekly online. Nice professor, lots of real work experience. Just no relation to tests.
He is a very nice guy with an interesting philosophy on education. His lectures are mostly stories that relate the book material to the real world. He is not as difficult as everyone seems to be saying due to the open book online tests that he gives. Any questions on the Exams I was unsure of I looked up. Great instructor.
Study and read everything in book. I never went to class and got an A. Seriously though, you have to read the book. The online tests are from the book. Every word counts. Do the online homework. Super easy. he drops the lowest test grade and two homework grades.
Professor Natesan seems very intimidating at first, but he was funny and gave lots of interesting facts. His class is relatively easy, despite how difficult he makes it sound the first day. All the tests and work are online. Just do your work and you'll be fine!
If you're looking for an engaging and all around good professor, don't take him. He doesn't lecture about test material. His tests are online, 50 questions in 50 minutes, which is nearly impossible. I've done well ONLY because you HAVE to read the book. Homework online every week, 100 questions each chapter. Basically you teach yourself the course.
Awesome professor. Enjoy going to every lecture. Even at 9 am he has me engaged in his interesting discussions. Uses all real world examples and ties them to what we are learning. Wish more professors taught this way. He has one flaw though, and that is pausing(for way too long) before he finishes the last word to a sentence.
Great sense of humor! I don't know how Dr. Natesan has ANY poor reviews. HIs exams are hard, but completely doable, unless you don't bother putting effort into the class. This is college, so it's expected that you read the textbook, take notes, and study. You won't earn a good grade by doing the bare minimum. Study, and you will do just fine.
You have to study the book & do the homework, attendance only won't help you pass. The prof will go over terms in class and explain with examples to make you understand the vocabulary. Exams are done online, you can use your notesbook, but are very stressful as you have 50 mins for 50 questions. Attendance is important but he randomly checks.
He is funny and will give you advice for real life. He explains everything from the beginning, do the HWs on connect which are long and also online open book tests (4 out of 3 gets dropped excluding final). I googled the answers and got 90+ on all the tests, still suggest you know the terms as the final is cumulative and closed book.
Attendance is not required, but I would definitely recommend attending. He's hilarious. All the tests and homework are online. They're really lengthy but since you don't have to show up to class its expected. As long as you do the homework and take the tests you should get an A in this class. I really enjoyed his class and would recommend it.
Attendance is taken, but not counted negatively. The test are really hard if you don't study because they cover so much information, but theres only 2 exams and 1 big project that you will be working on ALL semester. pick a good team!!! Made a B, could've made an A if i actually studied for the exams.
Natesan is a good professor he give lots of information that is valuable to succeed not only in the class but in your future career. I most certainly feel a bit more prepared to step out in the "real world" of marketing due to tips and advice he had given us in class. Put in the work easy A.
Took this professor for POM and it was seriously the easiest class ever. The only thing that isnt online is the final, so thats really the only thing you need to study for. The homework is a completion grade and all the tests are on Quizlet. I would still show up to class because he does have a lot of good things to say and add to the material.
He's an interesting professor, very motivational and full of advice and wisdom however he doesn't teach to the exam and attendance isn't required. Do the homework, take the exams and study for the final ,which he sends out a review for with the answers, so that being said should be an easy A.
Chinna's marketing class was all online through Connect. Homework and tests. Tests are 50 questions in 50 minutes. In class final. Super easy to pass.
Tests are online. 50 questions in 50 minutes is ridiculous. Lots of reading. Attendance not mandatory but if you're at a borderline grade, attendance will help. This class honestly stressed me out but I barely tried.
3 Test are 50 questions and you have 50 minutes to take it which is absolutely ridiculous. Lectures are boring and you have homework due every Thursday. Can be an easy class if you put in the work
Attendance isn't mandatory, but after the first test he started to take attendance & if you were at the bottom of a grade at the end of the semester the only way he would bump it up would be if you have been to class regularly. 4 tests all online. He increased the time limit to 1hr 20min for 50 questions, drops the lowest test. Final is in person
I thought I would enjoy marketing, but the lectures are very boring. The tests and hw are online and easy, so I never went to class after the first test and still had close to a 100. The final is in-class, cumulative, and fairly difficult if you didn't prioritize the class. You have to buy an online textbook to take exams and complete assignments
Im not sure why he doesnt have better reviews. I took his night class which is like 3 hours, and was always happy to be there. Yeah I didnt make the best grade but I learned a lot of things and wanted to be in class everyday.
No power pint slides, never teaches anything that you'll be tested over basically just tells loosely related stories about his own experience and the general environment, lectures are very boring , He does not give test reviews until the final exam (4 test) hw due every tue or thurs tbh this is a class where everything you learn you teach yourself
Not a very good professor. He does not include PowerPoints nor are his lecture ever solely related to what you would expect to be learning in a marketing class. Very boring guy and his lectures follow suit. Wouldnt recommend to anyone who actually wants to gain anything out of this class.
Had him last semester. Good instructor. Doesn't like talking about the book material, but lectures do tie directly back to its topics. So read the book and listen. He is indian. His accent can make it hard to understand him at times. But you get used to it. Just be prepared & listen early. Tests are all online. HATED THAT!
Professor Natesan does not understand the tiredness that his students go through to deal with his uncaring attitude. He does not respond to your emails, he only cares about his side of the situation and cares less to take you words for consideration. He does what he wants and doesnt care. He did not pass me with an A even though I had an 89.8. BOOO
Here's the thing. Online class during a pandemic is tough, but guess who doesn't care? Professor Natesan simply does not care about his students. He was also very harsh on Zoom to the classmates who are struggling and calling people out for no reason. Also said he would try to get students kicked out of school if not in GroupMe.
Everything is through connect, yet an hour and half zoom is mandatory even though all he does it repeat what connect already tells you. The dept is using proctorio plus which is awful and inconvenient CLEARLY. Why does the prof care if the test is open note if its not his material that hes teaching. All of my profs are open note except him.
He does not care about the students, Online class due to COVID, even if your power goes out he wouldnt care, say its your fault and wont allow any makeup exams. SmartBook assignment or quiz is due almost every other day including Saturdays. He does NOT teach to the test because he wants to make sure students actually read the book.
I spend the most time on this class and it is really basic stuff. He doesn't even make powerpoints and he just talks about very random examples that don't help. He doesn't allow you to see problems you got wrong and he provides no feedback. His zoom sessions always have a good 30 minutes of a rant on how we have been doing something wrong.
If you are a full time student, STEER CLEAR ! This professor puts out A LOT of homework. His homework is very time consuming and honestly does not help with the corresponding quiz(which he doesn't provide feedback for). His lectures, in my opinion, are not informative. To be honest, even if you're part time...I suggest taking a different professor.
If you enjoy condescension, useless lectures, and having very little feedback or recourse to improve your grade, then Chinna Natesan is the professor for you!
Dr. Natesan has interesting things to say in class but does not lecture over the quiz or test material and you will be forced to read the textbook and memorize hundreds of terms. All work is done on Mcgraw Hill Connect. You will have to teach yourself and study diligently. There are 2 quizzes per week and 5 exams. He does not give feedback.
Quite possibly one of the worst professors in the McCoy business school. He doesn't have any power points and spends every single one of his lectures talking about useless materials. Every class he starts off by telling us we are all doing everything wrong and how he refuses to teach anything on the test at all because its "not his job".
He says he provides reviews but they are summaries of the chapters, and the summaries are so long that you might as well reread the book. Also he doesnt teach to the test because hes too lazy to create one and just gives out a McGraw test. Thats why he doesnt let you know what the answers are, its answers to McGraw hill not his own test.
He spent the first 2 days talking about how much TXST values teaching then proceeds to spend the next 4 months not doing that. Grading is point system and he has it so that if you make 90/1000, its still a B. He says that if you are boarding on a grade he will see how professional you were to see if he should round you up. Dont take this guy
Prof Chinna tells his students to be understanding but he will not extend the same courtesy. I emailed him 3 weeks ago and no response, asked the same question in class and was ignored. He ranted about how it was the students fault for poor grades but wont teach. He told us to ask questions, he answered 2 then said he answered all and moved on
He's completely incapable of preparing his students for exams. The majority of students do poorly on the exams despite studying the material and participating in class. He will tell you to review the book after taking the quizzes, but does't allow you to see what questions you got wrong on the quiz, so you have no idea where you need to improve.
HW does not do anything to prepare you for Quizzes or tests... I read each chapter(multiple times) still didn't pass... taking this class is like soaking up water with a rock.... Offers ZERO guidance on how to prepare you for the tests and quizzes. I'd switch majors in order to never take this man again...
Probably one of the worst professors I've taken at Texas State. It wouldn't be so bad if he let students go over what they missed on tests, let alone quizzes, but he allows none of it. He's always condescending during lectures, and even then, the lectures do nothing to prepare you for graded coursework. His class is unnecessarily difficult.
Literally the worst professor that I have ever taken. He has no power points, his lectures are legit him only talking to you about the Wall Street journal, and he preaches about being professional. I have not learned a single thing from him. He has no material to help you on exams or quizzes. Honestly if his is the last open class, wait a semester.
Nice enough guy but not a great professor. Two quizzes per week, 20 questions (application/test format). 5 tests. Two smartbook assignments/week. Lectures are not helpful. Get ready to read, a lot. Class average for tests was about 75%. Spent most of my time on this class and still barely passing with a C.
You are basically paying for McGraw Hill to teach you. There are lectures, but if you actually listen to them you'll notice that they are mostly opinion based and I have noticed some of the content in them is out of date. There are two connect assignments and two connect quizzes a week. His lectures are mostly not focused on the actual marketing.
He "offers" extra credit (2 surveys for a total of 1 point). I've sent 3 emails and he responded to 1 only after I emailed him saying the problem was resolved. Prof Natesan doesn't respect his students, he asks questions then makes a fuss when nobody answers in 5 seconds. I am going to break my laptop if I hear "well?" one more time.
I am a senior at Texas State and professor Natesan is easily one of the worst professors I have had at Texas State. He cares more about doing things his way than actually ensuring his students are learning. He has literally scheduled quizzes and tests on the same day. He also comes off as very condescending pretty often. Don't take this professor.
Worst prof Ive ever taken. Never met a man so arrogant and condescending. He acts like if something goes wrong it must be the students fault. Very strict and loves to talk about professionalism. Lectures have nothing to do with test, 2 quizzes and 2 chapter readings due each week he drops 2 quizzes and 10 hws. This class requires a lot of time.
The worst professor I have ever taken at Texas State. You would think we are in a global pandemic he would be more considerate but no. Tons of quizzes every week, lectures off topic, and tests have nothing to do with mandatory zoom lectures. Marketing should not be that hard. Would not recommend
Do not ever take this professor. Majority of the grade is based off proctored quizzes that you take after taking hours and hours of notes from the textbook and still make failing grades on most. His lectures are useless because he just goes off on tangents about "personal examples" for 90% of the class. He is unprofessional and late to all classes.
Although Professor Natesan means well, his method of instruction lacks meaning and essential consideration towards students. tbh, the entire course is reading the textbook and showing up to a required lecture that has nothing to do with main topics. he does not teach. The answer for everything is "read textbook". assigns way too many readings.
While I didn't experience the worst of the class, many other students weren't as fortunate. This professor simply avoids being liable for anything that happens during this course. It's always the student's fault or nothing can be done at all. You practically teach yourself and have to attend mandatory lectures where he ventures so far off topic.
I enjoyed having this professor. He seemed really hardcore at first but he's just strict and likes to be respected. Nothing wrong with that. His lectures were interesting and he throws a joke in every once and a while to keep you engaged.
Do not ever take this professor. His lectures are useless because he just goes off on tangents about "personal examples" for 90% of the class. He is unprofessional and late to all classes. In my class he started harassing a student who showed up to class late. He constantly tells the students to act "professional", but never acts professional.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is rude and his lectures are absolutely useless to what is on the tests. He also is extremely unhelpful for example I asked why the answer he said was the correct answer over the other *professor says I am not your tutor if you do take him do not read the book read chapter reviews and and PowerPoints good luck
Do not take him, it's a waste of your time and money being spent on him. He is a narcissist, will not help you, blames everything on you when you do not understand. He does not teach about the topic, it's all personal or off topic crap. He said "this is not a class where you should expect good service because you paid for this class."
One of the worst professors to come out of McCoy. Lectures are useless, narcissistic person.I highly recommend taking someone else, especially if you want to learn about marketing - because whatever he is teaching is far from it.
This man is the worst professor at Texas State. I promise you will hate this class, please don't be like me and stay away from him. Uses inappropriate references, doesnt use powerpoints or any presentations (just stands and talks in front of class) and allows NO electronics - not even iPads for note taking. Attendance is required for no reason.
Essentially there are three things that count for your grade. Smartbook HW's easy 100's, proctored chapter quizzes, tests (Both proctored and difficult). Do you get to see what you missed on the quizzes before the test? Of course not how dare you think so. Your time is better spent reading the book than going to class. He just stinks.
Lectures are boring and he just talks the whole time with no PowerPoints or anything. Proctored quizzes and exams if you take this class online. Dont take
Lecture's are totally useless. You have more luck staying home and just reading the textbook to get a better grade. Tests and quizzes are online and the wording of questions doesn't match what the textbook says. Lectures are even further from the actual information you need to know. This prof does not believe in electronics, and does not teach well
Professor Natesan was not the worst professor I've ever had, but not the best. His lectures are entertaining as he is not just reading from a powerpoint. The the quizzes and tests are fairly difficulty, but he drops your lowest grades which is helpful. Be prepared to have something to do for his class almost daily.
Has super long, boring lectures that are completely irrelevant to the material on the exams/ quizzes. Coming to class is mandatory but his lectures dont help at all for the quizzes and exams because he just talks about his life and goes on many tangents. Does not respond to emails ever. Does give extra credit though. Drops the lowest exam grade.
Dr. Natesan is an amazing person with a ton of experience in the marketing field and provides a ton of real world examples and applications. You have to read everything in this class though and basically self-teach the basics in order to pass. Definitely spent hours every week just reading the textbook and was stressed about this class until finals
Very average professor. Lectures are practically useless but attendance is mandatory. He doesnt overwhelm you w/ assignments but they do take a few hours. One HW assignment & quiz per chapter. All questions are on Socratic. Do what you want with that info. Moral of the story, typical blowoff class:)
Hes annoying and obsessed with himself. His lectures are useless, its all self taught from the textbook at the end of the day. He said attendance was mandatory but not for a grade, I honestly barely went and still did fine in the class even though I was teaching myself all of the material. Hes kind of funny on occasion but more just rude.
all assignments, quizzes, and exams were online so i stopped showing up to class after the first couple of weeks. if youre looking for an easy A take this class.
Definitely a tougher course but he is very upfront about expectations!
Natesan is the worst professor I have ever had. No electronics allowed, tons of work to do, and incredibly difficult tests. All quizzes and exams are STRICTLY proctored online and he is incredibly full of himself. Blames tech mistakes on the students and does not allow you to make up any assignments due to tech or life issues.
Everything is done online, including tests which where easy. Attendance is mandatory and taken by the TA, but most of the people dont really show up. His lecture can be boring but often helpful. Its an easy A if you do all the work
One of the worst professors I've had to date. Very narcissistic and impressed with himself. He stressed the importance of "professionalism," yet routinely arrived to class late. Overall his lectures didn't prepare us for the exams/quizzes. I just stopped going to class, instead using that time to study more for the quizzes and my grades improved.
He gets a bad rep, but overall he is fair. He can be annoying at times, and his lectures are pointless, but if you read the textbook and go over all the reviews you will get a good grade in this class
Please take any other professor. This prof went on tangents and did not effectively teach the course. Just a pain to go to this class every day.
Chinna Natesan will consistently waste your time in lectures that are mandatory that provide no further insights into the field of marketing or even the homework's provided. The material from the SIMbook assignments are easy and fairly straightforward. The quizzes are ridiculous, forcing you to pull on information that wasn't given to you by him.
Preaches professionalism but is late to nearly every class. Attendance is mandatory but his lectures are straight talking -- no powerpoints, notes, nothing. He can be funny at times but rambles until the bell. Proctored quizzes & tests (difficult for an intro), the software is frustrating. Condescending & unhelpful, 10/10 recommend NOT taking him.
For the love of the man up above, please DO NOT take professor chinna. He is the worst professor i've ever had. the quizzes and exams are over material we did not learn and he talks about nonsense all lecture, then when its 10 mins til class is over he starts cramming the actual material in. he is never willing to help you out. also uses proctorio.
He is the worst professor/teacher I have ever had in my entire life. very disorganized, doesn't lecture about anything related to the exams, and is a total waste of time. He shows up late to his own class 10-15 min every class period, he didn't even have his class up on Canvas til the 3rd week of school, gives out no study guides.
Legitimately the worst professor I've ever had. Lectures are required but pointless, no slides, computers not allowed, and he rambles on about stuff that doesn't even pertain to the course. Quiz and test always have questions never covered. He purposely tries to make this class more difficult than it should be, don't take this dude no matter what.
Very funny and lectures are entertaining sometimes, however the tests are hard but based exactly off of mcgraw hill smartbooks and quizzes. He is nice and responds sometimes to emails BUT you can't see your grade until the very end of the class because he drops so much, so he keeps it locked until AFTER grades closed
Worst professor at TXST. Attendance is required but they are pointless. He doesn't believe in powerpoints or electronics being out in class. His exams are very difficult, and you have to read several hours out of the textbook to have a solid understanding of the course
The most painful lectures ever! He barely covers the content in the textbook. He mostly spends time yapping about stories semi-relating to the content. You gain no advantage coming to class, don't go. Your time would be better spent at the library reading the textbook, which you'll need to do anyway. Exams are VERY thorough.
Professor Natesan makes this class way harder than it needs to be. To me it seems that professor Natesan takes pleasure in seeing students struggle in this entry level course. Routinely late to class, often rude and snarky during lectures, and he provides no feedback during office hours.
Let me start off by saying, absolutely NO market course should be this hard. No electronics allowed during lecture. Lecture literally consists of him telling stories about his wife and kids and barely summing up what the chapters entail. Be prepared to be disappointed when you give it your all and somehow barely get by with C's.
i am usually fair with professors, but this might be the WORST professor ive ever taken here. The class is do able but you have to constantly read the textbooks quizzes are impossible without reading. Exams are tough too. He doesnt write anything on the board just rambles on about random things during lectures. You basically have to teach yourself.
He rambles in class about the most random things. Quizzes and exams are all proctored with webcam and lockdown browser. You can't do well on quizzes or anything if you don't read the textbook as they are literally pulled from there and his “slides” don't help at all. If you can avoid taking him avoid it, if not it'll just be a lot of work.
Class is assigned seating in a massive lecture class, there are 2 quizzes and assignments every week, and tests are long. The lectures are pretty boring and he does not teach from the textbook. You need to read at least 2 chapters each week.
It was the hardest class that I took in TXST. This class is unnecessary difficult. He says he will help round up a grade for people who attend his lectures, but that didn't happen, so I wish I didn't go to class and just spent time study on my own. There is a lot of homework, this class takes a lot of time. My advice is to not take it.
This professor has to be one of the worst professors i have taken at TXST. This professor will not email and communicate back and its unprofessional. I emailed him twice he replied once and the next question he never replied. His lectures were never helpful and the quizzes are difficult. Be prepared to teach yourself. Avoid taking this professor.
Dr.Natesan will take and entire 1hr 20min lectrure and cover 1 page of the chapter from the textbook. Teach yourself. I spent the entire course staying home and instead using his chapter lecture slides, taking notes, and doing mcgraw assignments to prepare me instead (mind you i had to take hours out of my day for this!) but it was better than him.
This guy is awful. One of the worst professors at Texas State. His lectures are very boring and pointless because all he does is just yap about nonsense that doesn't relate to the material. Quizzes and test are very difficult and proctored. Two quizzes a week. Attendance is only for rounding border grade, better skip if you want to pass. DONT TAKE
Don't take this rating the wrong way, but he's just lazy. He's a tenured professor so he doesn't care. If you unfortunately have to take him like I did, everything is online and it's a do it at your own pace. The lectures aren't helpful so there's no point of going to class because everything is online.
all of these people rating him only 1 star are probably just lazy. I got a C but could've easily got a B or better if i turned in my assignments on time. the main thing about this class is no extensions on anything but he does drop many assignments. attendance isn't mandatory but you will receive 1 extra % point at the end for attending.
Not all that bad, the lectures weren't awful, and as long as you kept up with the smart book assignments, you could at least expect a B. The only thing that really made the course difficult was the Proctered assignment.
I've never seen a professor seem more disinterested in what he teaches than this manTheguywould ratherwatchyoufailthanactually help you.I know this because he's never in his office for office hours and his quizzes and tests have zero answers. Unless you go to his office hours which he is never there. I'd rather eat a shoe than take his class again
Lectures are tough and exams are brutal, but Chinna's class is manageable with the right study strategy. Unstuck ai helped me ace the material when the textbook wasn't enough. Overall, a challenging but rewarding course.
If you can take someone else, do that for your own sake. Heavy on teaching yourself as lectures are purely applying the topics from the books to real life. Quizzes and tests are proctored and they are not easy by any means. No electronics in class either (he will not hesitate to call you out)
Be ready to use Mcgraw Hill. There is a long chapter assignment for each chapter of the book and on top of that a quiz that you have two tries on but can never see the answers to. He is not willing to move any assignment dates even if you are going to be gone for a SCHOOL EVENT(this happened to me). Hard to study for his tests other than read book.
Don't take this prof
By the third week, only a fifth of the class was still coming to lectures. Attending lectures was worthless, since he is very adamant about teaching "application", rather than from the textbook or to the test... which is the vast majority of your grade. You're better off pretending this is an online course and just reading the textbook.
You might as well not even show up to lectures since he goes over literally nothing that will be on the proctored quizzes and exams. He obviously doesn't care about his job since he shows up late to every lecture (sometimes up to 15 mins). Don't expect any help via email as he automatically refuses leeway from anything, no matter the excuse.
Says no electronics in class but then EVERYTHING is online. You don't really need to show up to class, it is a waste of time, class is hard to sit through. Expect McGraw hill and proctored exams. Also he doesn't show what your grade is.
There is zero reason for a marketing class to be this difficult. Exams were extremely specific and many answer choices were very similar. Even with extensive studying, getting an A is almost out of question. Lectures were very boring and then he wonders why no one participates. He preaches professionalism and is routinely late for class. Don't take
Professor Natesan did not keep me engaged during class, and his lectures were hard to listen to. The class is heavily dependent on textbook information and to get a good grade it is important to read a lot. (Because you will not learn what you need to from the lectures.) However, the Professor knows the course is difficult, and gives extra credit!
He is not a compelling speaker and is just a bit rude in my opinion. He doesn't allow computers in his class which I kind of understand but that's also how most people take notes. His tests are hard and his syllabus is regularly wrong.
Honestly, if you were looking to sign up for an online class and they're all filled up, take this professor. His lectures weren't helpful. Everything is online. No quizzes or assignments in person. Hardly anyone showed up to class the entire semester. Easy online course basically. You'd be saving money imo. No group projects/presentation.
His lectures are “real life examples “ where he actually doesn't explain any material. If you're lucky you will get 15% of the material covered in class. It is a waste of your time showing up. His exams are online w proctorio based on the textbook which he doesn't cover. This is a in person class but you have learn everything from txtbook
I feel like his exams and quizzes are set up to fail. I study hard each time for everything I have to work on and I still recieve low grades. His lectures are all real life examples and I just don't understand how it's supposed to help me on the assignments, for example we spent a whole class talking about pillows.
Worst professor I've ever had. Stresses the need to come to class but doesnt teach anything. He blabs about real world examples the entire class and barely touches the textbook material. Brags about being the first to teach a digital marketing class but the way he runs is class is outdated and not helpful. Avoid at all costs, just doesn't care.
DO NOT TAKE! Worse class and professor ever. Somehow the McGraw Hill assignments, tests and quizzes were not about what you learned in the McGraw Hill textbook... Also, you may think it's not so bad it's all online... wrong everything is proctored and you can't even see what you missed after. Made me change my major from marketing to ACCOUNTING.
Lectures aren't useful. Reading/Taking notes on book is essential. Rude and condescending about technological issues. Always showed up late to class. No technology in class. Blunt, but upfront about it on day 1. Proctored exams/quizzes. If you're expecting an easy A, this is not the class for you. Compare syllabi before choosing a professor
I personally did not find this class helpful. It is definition based, which is only really helpful if you're going into that industry. He stressed that it was important to go to class but it was not helpful with the exams. All assignments were online through McGrawhil and proctored. He is fair with grading though and drops 2 quizzes and 1 exam.
Worst professor ever. The lectures are a waste of time; he doesn't even cover 1/4 of a chapter. Everything is based on the textbook, and they pull out the most random niche questions, so it is extremely difficult to get a good grade. The only people who did well cheated. He shows up late and blatantly doesn't care or show up to office hours.
He will lie to you day one saying “if you give a dam then I will give a d*m” spoiler alert he does not give a d*m anyways. He showed up late to every single class. He will act like it's on you for choosing him as your professor which only works if there was literally any other professor to choose. Lectures + smartbooks =\= exam or hw info needed
