She's very funny, has an accent but she's understandable. The class involves 7 papers throughout the semester only 2 pages long about an article that you have to read. It's fairly easy and articles can be interesting. Then there are 3 exams and optional final. It drops your lowest test grade. She's cool overall. It's a fun class

Shes pretty cute What I disliked about her class the most was the bi-weekly 2 page journal article reviews(that's 7 reviews total) Some are interesting, but 90% of the choices she gives are about Asian culture which can be extremely boring and can make it hard to relate... Shes a tough grader on the papers.

Its a love hate relationship! I love the kind of teacher she is but makes the class a little too hard as if we all want master in Gl psy. Take professor Yi, you will not regret it! She answers very quickly to emails and she is always there to help. There isn't homework overload & the material is interesting. You will write 3 papers about two pages long doubled spaced but the articles are interesting. There are no proctors and no ugly surprises. I would take her again!

I don't know why her rating is so low. She has an accent but you CAN understand her. She posts the powerpoints online. If you talk to her she'll let you turn in papers a little late. She is super adorable! I enjoyed her class a lot, the material is really interesting and she knows her stuff very well. She gives extra credit, responds quickly to emails and is always willing to help you with anything before class if you have questions. You must go to class everyday because her iclickers are random and they really help your grade.

Dr. Yi is amazing, if you have the opportunity, take her for Intro Psychology, PSY-2012, her LAs are wonderful too. Very helpful.

Prof Yi told us we'd spend 9 hours working on class material outside of class every week, and I did. The hybrid nature of the class meant I basically taught MYSELF all the material from the book before going to class and demonstrating it through in-class group activities and i-clicker quizzes (2-3 each day!) Lots of easy extra credit opportunities

I really enjoyed taking this class. She is always available and responds quickly to emails. The course was hybrid but I learned a lot from the lectures. If you do the pretests that she requires prior to the lecture, and the media assignments after, you'll learn easily. There are many iClicker questions during each class.

She's so nice understanding and gives you the opportunity to boost up your grade. She does provide a lot of extra credit. Do the i-clicker quizzes, media assignments, and worksheets in class then you should be good.

Dr. Yi is an amazing professor. If you're a good student, have decent study skills, and want to get an easy A take her for global psychology. Her exams are solely off of her Powerpoints and definitions. Does iClicker questions for attendance sometimes. Quirky, sweet professor. I'll never forget professor Yi. She is the kind of professor that loves what she does. She wants us to learn and provides help and motivation. Her class was very easy and interesting. You do have to write some papers but she provides different interesting topics to choose from. She is amazing and truly wants to help.

Professor Yi was a legend! She's so sweet and passionate about what she teaches. She made the subject easier to understand and encourages debates in class. Attendance isn't required but it's recommended since she gives I-clicker questions at random days. She has an easy project and her tests are based on her PPTs.

The professor is very nice and the class is interesting. Pretty clear grading: 4 exams, drops lowest score, and one wiki project. Exams are not cake, you must study her pps. Don't bother with the book though. You have to do a project but you choose your topic, so it's kind of interesting. Not an easy A, but doable, and very interesting course.

Dr. Yi is an absolute gem. If you go to class and do what you're supposed to do, you'll be fine. Her exams are verbatim her lectures and the homework assignments. The quizzes are online and it has unlimited retries. You only meet once a week, the rest is online. She genuinely cares about people passing her class. Also SONA IS IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 total test, one being the final. Tests are okay. She gives access to her powerpoints to study from and you need them. Book and powerpoint its all fair game. She has several I-clicker questions during class for credit and you have to do online work every week (you can get ahead) Although it seems like a lot, for a hybrid class its fairly easy

Overall amazing class. This class was a hybrid so you only meet once a week and the rest is done by you on the computer. Attendance is mandatory because of i-Clicker quizzes every class-meet. i-Clicker quizzes are super easy and the TA's give you the answers most of the time. The 3 exams are very easy and DO the STUDY GUIDE given for the FINAL!!!

Dr. Yi is an excellent professor, she is very informed on the subject matter and is very compassionate towards her students. Go to class to answer the Iclicker questions she occasionally posts during class time, this will help your grade.

I loved Dr. Yi, she is helpful and gives you all resources needed to pass the class. The LAs in the class are knowledgeable. It's very hard to fail this class because the topics are not that hard and if you study her PPTs (which she puts online) before the exams, you won't fail them! The homework is online in the textbook site. iClicker needed!

Dr. Yi was AMAZING! Lectures are clear and informative but, still interesting. Access code required for hw and quizzes. Iclicker questions every class (read during hw for answers). TAs are informative and helpful. She and TAs will assist as much as they can, just ask.

ONLY take this class if you're interested in Psychology research; it's NOT an easy A! Lecture heavy, take fast notes. Most of the reading is published papers, tests require you do the reading to do well. Group project is to write a 11-16 page research paper. She gives a TON of feedback on the portfolio assignments; very useful for your future!

I took this professor for intro to psych, the class is very easy but attendance is mandatory since we only meet once a week the iclicker questions will have a heavy weight on your grade. Online quizzes due 48 hours hours after class and on Sundays make sure you do them. (you have unlimited retries)

3 Exams, 1 final paper, 1 final portfolio, and a group presentation. She gives a lot of useful comments that help further your paper but you have to take notes since the exam questions are very detailed! Other than that, she is an funny amazing professor!

Dr. Yi, at least for PSY2012, was a very informative teacher. Her exams were cut clean and the material was interesting, at least for a psychology major like me. The ideas are easy to learn and thought provoking. Would recommend again and again.

Her class has a really clear structure and as long as you do your work you should be able to pass. There is a group research paper that you complete throughout the semester but if you have good group members its not that difficult.

Dr. Yi is a very informative professor and she really knows what she's talking about. Her lectures are easy to follow through and the class overall is very easy and straight forward. Although there is a lot of work, it is easily manageable. I recommend Professor Yi if you need to take Intro to Psychology.

Yi is great professor. A lot of information is taught in the course however she and her TAs are always there to help. There are in class iClicker questions that you need to be present for. The workload consists of chapter readings, guiding questions, and ORION tests. These take time so do not procrastinate until the last second. Highly recommend.

Dr. Yi is a very good professor and there is a lot to learn from her. I recommend taking PSY2012 during fall or spring, because in the summer there is a lot of information crammed into only 6 weeks. You have to go to class to keep a good grade because of the classwork, but overall the class isn't very difficult, just stay on top of your work.

Not bad I took her in the summer and passed easy with an A. If you're atleast somewhat paying attention you'll do good.

The content of the class is really easy. You have to buy the online textbook in order to do some of the assignments. Keep in mind that the class is mostly self study and she only tests on what is on the PowerPoints.

She's an amazing professor, she gives work but only because it will be very helpful for the exams. You have enough time to complete the assignments, it's super helpful. You'll be lucky to have her, I learned a lot. Unlike some other teachers, they don't give you homework to help you for the exams so that's wack.

There's a lot of homework in this class but it's not that difficult. She prefers that you have handwritten assignments which you'd have to read the book to get the answers (or just google of course). Sometimes over exceeds the time in class for about 15-20 mins.

Despite the other negative reviews, she is a good professor you just have to do your work and stay on top of it. I took her for summer B and though it was hard it wasn't as bad, she gives clear feedback on your projects. The tests are hard, you have to pay attention during class they are open note so you just need to have a good grasp on the info.

Gave many opportunities for extra credit and was very helpful. Participation is important because she goes over the important main points in a chapter. Class time consists of lectures, a class activity worksheet, and iclicker quizzes. Not bad. As long as you do the assignments, study moderately and show up you'll pass.

I don't understand why she has negative reviews from a while ago be she really is a good professor. She has PLENTY of extra credit opportunities and the material itself is pretty simple. She shows a passion for the material, which reads well when you are trying to learn it yourself. Her Inquisitives help A LOT. Would take her class again for sure.

There are 5 papers in this class, but it is not really 5 papers - it's just one huge paper and she divides it into 5 parts to make it manageable. The lab portion really goes through everything you need for the paper and the paper is literally so EASY! her and TA leave really good notes about paper - lots of extra credit opportunities too!

A good professor and good class, the usual course load. There are a few research papers to read each week, so keep in mind about that, however she ends up covering them in class and you can use your notes on exams. Pretty normal class provided you do the work.

Nice teacher, actually teaches what's gonna be on the tests. You have one or two assignments due every week which aren't too difficult. The 4 tests aren't too bad if you pay attention and study a bit.

This professor did a great job teaching such a large class. Every class we did classwork, and these were meant to engage us with the material she reviewed in class as well as the homework that was assigned. As long as you are keeping up with the readings, you should pass. But don't wait to study for tests (there is a lot of material).

I took this class because it was mandatory as I am going into the Psychology field. Besides that, this class was pretty much average regarding difficulty, and a lot of test based class. We use iClicker in class and we had homework due every single Sunday, except when we had a test that week.
