In class group work, conference is a must and movie watching. Great professor for serious minded students.

Great teacher. Very quick to respond to Emails and discussion chats. Assignments are graded fairly with informative and helpful feedback. Attendance is a must for hybrid courses. Group work in the classroom but not for assignments.

Dr. Nosiri was great! She is very knowledgeable and she made the class enjoyable. The key is to come to class and do the group work, discussions and keep up on the movie watching. You are sure to get an A (2 papers, 1 Outline, Final Paper no exam).

Dr. Nosiri, teaches a very fun introspective course. After taking this course, I definitely have a new appreciation for movie's.

Professor Nosiri is an excellent educator and instructor, and makes the class interesting. Her syllabus is very easy to follow. Must be a participant! Follow the assignments, and you should have no problem. Dr. Nosiri cares about her students, and wants everyone to succeed. She is always available via email and after class. Fun class.

I really liked taking Prof. Nosiri's class. The workload is kind of heavy but she is a very fair grader. There were plenty of group assignments involved but they're very doable. Just focus on the material that she provides and complete the assignments on time. She doesn't ask for much and she's a really nice person.

Dr. Nosiri was great to work with. In the 7th week I had kidney transplant. I was never stressed since the professor worked with me to get as much of my work done as possible. I was granted an extension and asked to provide a doctor's note. Was a joy to work with but expected the student to participate fully.

Responds to questions quickly and accurately. Slightly above average amount of reading, but a lot of it is reinforcement of concepts, so if you learn quickly, some of the reading is not required. She cares about the subject matter and the students, and this shows. Excellent professor.

Prof. Nosiri was accessible and responsive to e-mails. There's a lot to read in this class, but it wasn't overwhelming. She helps you think outside the box on real world media issues and gives great feedback both via discussion posts and assignments. I would take her class over again if I could!

Professor Nosiri was one of the best professors I've had with UMUC. She responds weekly to our discussions and comments with parts of the classes responses. Her grading time is immaculate. I learned a lot this semester and was excited about her drive to help us all succeed. She is truly an amazing educator. I would take every COMM class with her.

Dr. Nosiri defintiely gave us a lot to read but for an 8 week class, it makes sense. I actually really enjoyed several of the readings she assigned. I was genuinely interested in the COMM articles. I would say if you do your readings and you make sure to cite and use the textbook to support your discussions and assignments, you'll do just fine.

I generally don't contribute on here, but Professor was worth me giving my valid two sense. Being an older student, and late to working on college. I would have to say that she is very fair and open to discussions. It's hard to fail that class as long as you are doing what need is and trying. A++++ Professor

This class was taken online as 8-week class. I found this course to be one of the most insightful and informative classes I have taken at UMUC. Dr. Nosiri's use of supplemental materials from YouTube to Prezi's brought an extra layer of depth to the class. She provided insightful feedback and was an overall great instructor.

Extensive papers every week, discussions every week with multiple posting that sometimes require putting together power points and presentations. A lot of work and papers but she grades fairly and gives good feedback. I did not expect the amount of work that was required for this class.

Easy grader, clear assignments, final paper is 6-8 pages, not too much reading/writing. Would take all my classes with her if I wanted all A's.

Definitely a class I would take over and not just because she's a fellow Nigerian like myself. In the brief time I've spent with her as her student, her and her teaching is definitely worth it's weight in Gold. If you put in the work, you'll reap the reward. Definitely take her...

Professor Nosiri inspired the class weekly with very positive feedback and clear instructions about weekly assignments. I never felt overwhelmed by the requirements of the course because of Professor Nosiri's encouragement and professionalism.

Good course format. The class was primarily centered around a final research paper and multiple assignments leading up to it. Detailed weekly discussions. Fair grader and overall nice person. As long as you try and meet deadlines, you will come out fine.

Great instructor! I felt that she really cared about helping the class prepare porfolios/projects for their next steps in life, and she was an active and positive presence in our online discussions. Her feedback was helpful and grading was clear and fair. You'll have an assignment and multiple discussions each week so be prepared to write.

A lot of writing in the class- discussions and paper every week. But all the materials have been covered prior, so this should be easy. I advise to take this course as only class, the writing part will be extensive. The professor is an easy grader, great feedback, fast turnaround on submitted papers and grades are posted on time. GREAT!!!!

Holy moly, get ready to read A LOT. This class had really fun discussions and I like how we dove into the theories of mass communications. It made me realize about a lot my social media use and how social media is differently by people and why.

Dr. Nosiri was a fantastic teacher. She is competent and knowledgeable about cinematography and the film industry. In a world of adjunct faculty and temp-instructors she is a gem.

I've had a fair sampling of UMUC professors and this one is top tier. Real experience in communications and the film industry. Actually leads the class with good participation exercises rather than the trite, check-the-box efforts I've seen elsewhere. Have to watch a lot of film, I had to pay a bit more out of pocket for some of them. Worth it.

I enjoyed completing my capstone course with Dr. Nosiri. She provided clear communication and organization throughout the course. If I could take her class again I would.

Dr. Nosiris class was one of my favorite classes at UMUC. Unfortunately one of my last! I wish I had taken more classes with her. Her feedback is great, she is so caring and happy to help. Her class is also very interactive and makes you want to do her class. The topics you research are very interesting and you actually gain a lot of knowledge !!!

Dr. Nosiri was amazing. Very clear rubrics that made it easy to understand what was expected. She grades quickly and gives great feedback. She's also extremely understanding and fair. Participation does matter, of course, since it's an online course. I would definitely take another class with her!

There is a substantial amount of reading; two discussions per week and several assignments that prepare for the final research paper. Professor Nosiri responds to emails almost instantly, with clear guidance. As for each online class what you put in is important. It is a level 3 so do not expect easy unless you just want to learn on the surface.

Professor Chizoma Nosiri is amazing! At the end of class, I had an 89.3 and needing 0.7% more points for an A to finish out my undergrad. With only a few minutes left before all final grades had to be submitted, I reached out asking if I could do ANYTHING to make up those points. When I refreshed my page, she had given them to me. She is God sent!

Great Professor, really works with students during hard times. Provides great feedback with examples. She provides great lectures and cares if the students are receiving the information provided. Outstanding professor.

I enjoyed Dr. Nosiri's class. The weekly assignments will turn into your last project so DO THEM EVERY WEEK if you want to pass the class. Be prepared to write a lot. Her work is clear-cut, do what she asks you to do and you'll do great! She's very quick to reply and gives good feedback.

Her feedback helped me to develop a great COMM portfolio and a final project that I feel confident in presenting as a credential to my work. She is responsive and keeps up with feedback and grading.

I definitely recommend Dr. Nosiri! This class was tough, but assignments were pretty fun to complete. I really liked submitting a draft weeks before the final assignment was due, it helped me be more prepared for the final assignment versus cramming to complete them. She was also very quick to respond to questions from students.

I would say the level of difficulty is more of a 2.5, not too easy not too hard. Dr. Nosiri is an absolutely awesome instructor and a very fair grader. She believe's in her students and pushes them to resubmit assignments to improve their grade. I really enjoyed taking her class and I would recommend her to anyone.

This wasn't your average, boring online class where everyone did the exact same work. Dr. Nosiri gave a lot of different options every week so you weren't stuck trying to find creative ways of saying the same thing to 2-4 people in discussion boards every week. She definitely kept it interesting.

Dr. Nosiri was great, I would definitely take one of her classes again! Three assignments plus a research paper for the final. Two discussions per week with lots of options making the discussions more interesting. Dr. Nosiri graded quickly with great feedback- very encouraging! Follow the rubrics and participate - you'll do fine.

This class was a lot of work. I took an accelerated course, so maybe that's why. I felt like every week I had to really read and understand to move on. However, I really did learn. What's great is that this professor really does read the stuff students write, and gives good feedback. I feel confident that I will remember the content I learned.

I absolutely LOVED this class (COMM 302 online); Dr. Nosiri is a fantastic professor. The content was interesting, engaging, and she graded super quickly. Highly, highly recommend her if you need someone who is ready at the drop of a hat to answer questions and provide clarification. Good Luck!!

Professor Nosiri is a no nonsense instructor that believes in her students. She takes time to explain what you may not understand, offers makeup work for those who might need it, and gives brief but insightful feedback and grades all through the course virtually within 24-48 hours of assignment completion.

Prof. Nosiri provides all the materials needed to pass this class. Ensure you provide detailed discussion answers and responses and follow all APA rules in your assignments. If your work doesn't reflect that you've read and applied the course material appropriately, you will be graded accordingly. This class is not hard if you follow directions.

This was an online course so I can not speak to how Professor Nosiri is in person but for this class she was wonderful to have. Very helpful with questions and understanding about issues that came up with a late assignment. Assignments were explained thoroughly and graded fairly.

Dr. Nosiri had fair grading and always let me know what was missing and why I didn't get full marks. My one complaint is that multiple times I reached out for more information or clarification and received it, only to get a somewhat contradictory grade after following the response.
