HES THE MAN
tries to be very helpful to students. nice guy, class is hard if its your first time with word/excel/access.
He is a nice guy. His class is pretty easy, except for his quizzes. Those are tough, even when they are on bs excel and word. Almost no one in class payed any attention, most people were surfing the internet during lecture. Just do good on the assignments and ok(at least pass) on the quizzes, and you should get >B
greater teacher ever did absoultely nothing in his class except aim and facebook and nvr studied got an A his class is common sense and if u get below an A ur mad dumb
You will enjoy his humor and vivid teaching style. I stronly recommend him.
i dont know why everyone liked him...bad teacher..very confusing and tests are not what we discuss in class..i did not like this professor at all !!!
i got a D avg. on my quizs and i was thinking about to drop, but by the end of the semaster i found out i got A,really good prof. just do good on the assignment and let him know who u r. btw way all my friends get A on his class.HIS THE MAN
You don't learn anything in this class. Nothing at all. he talks about how to buy realestate rather than the subject. we did all the Access in 1 class and waste 4 class for Word.
I took this class in 2006 with Professor Lintakoon and I am still in contact with him. He is the most caring professor I have ever met. He cares for my professional development during and after the class. Good Professor not only knows his stuff, he/she should care about us, student. I strongly recommend him.
very hard teacher. talks a lot about real estate. horrible teacher. doesnt know how to teach. test is vary hard because of 2007 software. dont recommend him. You can get highest grade of C or if you are lucky maybe B. If you are a freak of nature, you might get an A.
Class is not fun but has its days, explains the material good and has a good sense of humor. I got a B+ but I could have got an A if I tried harder.
Horrible Teacher dont take him. does not curve. he will literarry make your GPA drop a lot.
class is hard. but study. and you will do fine.
He does not explain anything clearly. He goes through the material WAY too quickly!! most of my class failed in both his tests. When you ask him questions he doesn't answer them at all. Overall he is really not a good professor to take for MIS.
Class is not fun but has its days, explains the material good and has a good sense of humor. I got a A but you have to try hard... this guy does not go through the stuff that well... he uses slides to do the work in class, but you can pass it, just look over the slides and maybe the questions after the chapter.
Took the 3-credit version of this course. It's not as easy as you think it would be, but is a good way to learn basic computer tech. He tests you from the book and the class notes. Had to do a business plan, which could be difficult if this is your first class as an RBS student.
Easy A Just read the chapters he tells you to and the exams are pretty easy. Hes helpful in class and a straight up guy. This was probably the easiest class I took all semester. Lets you use the computer on exams so you dont need to memorize how to do everything you can look for it on the comp. Dont expect a good grade without some effort tho.
He is a good prof and wants you to learn. He is not too easy but you HAVE to put work in. Make sure you know everything when your group presents because he will make you look like a clown infront the whole class. I got an A.
Well, lets put it this way...I never studied for the exams (which I failed) and did really good on the final project and group assignments; I ended up with a B. Just study for his exams, as boring as reading those MIS books are.
Intrinsically speaking he is a nice guy. But at the same time he is an extremely boring professor which test you on the most random stuff!
his test are ridiculous. Hard and he puts the most random questions on it, sometimes with 2 answers being true!. The presentation are extremely important, make sure you know every formula by heart and steps on how u did it or ull get disrespectfully laughed at in front of the class!. He really does that! attendance- mandatory, dont be late either.
He is very easy to talk to. I think some students in class just not paying attention and expect good grade. He is strict but fair. Although he does not curve, he is good in giving us second or third chances to make up low score. I like his teaching style. His motto is "Study hard, read before coming to class" and it is so true. You'll like him.
i got A in his class. it was easy coz its all basic computer and it was interesting to do access dat was new for me. sometimes he gets confusing to talk to but overall he is fair grader. gives many chances to get extra credit too.
For the ppl who failed, you must be really lazy or stupid. He is a fair grader and you can use the computer in his tests. Ever heard of the help button? He also gives retakes on exams if you do really bad. Just put in some effort and you'll be ok
He's not bad at all and lets you use the computer on every exam (including the final)! Can't take the class for granted though; I did at first and didn't do too well in the beginning. As long as you pay attention in class and do all that needs to be done you should be able to pull of an A or B. :)
Class for me went like this: Show Up (attendance matters), Log on to facebook, play games, leave. Use the computer on his tests. I got an A with minimal effort. Complete your assignments on time and if they are semi decent, You will get an A. Take Chon's Class!
I agree with others below me, its hard to fail this class. His grading criteria is very friendly and his tests are easy/tricky but allows computers. Group presentation was a night mare you better know what your talking about. You learn alot of new stuff which is good. Hes a very good guy and an A is very possible.
Attend classes and do what's required. Easy A
This is by far the best class I have at Rutgers. Prof. Lintakoon is a genius! You should chat with him whenever you have a chance because he knows much more than you think. He explains thing to the point that is easy to understand. You need to read before the class because he will test your readiness. Getting an A from him means a lot to me.
Great guy, explains everything to detail. I learned a lot especially about excel. Tests are tricky and you have to study unless you MS guru. Over all if u have common sense and made it to RBS , you should have no problems.
He is def. not an easy prof. prepare to work hard for your A or B+. TXTbook is not needed as for everything he goes over in class or its located in the slides. overall good prof.
Lintakoon is always well prepared and willing to answer questions. A little homework is given. (3 small projects) Quizzes are short and computers are accessible during exams. Easy A if you do your homework and go to class.
I love this class with all my heart. Learning computer through hands-on experience is invaluable to me. Prof. Lintakoon delivered what he promised. DO NOT cheat on test or homework as you will be expelled from Rutgers. He is strict but very reasonable. Enroll his class early! You won't regret it. I got a A- because I worked real hard. Go for it!
Do not take it! Worst professor ever. The only C last semester. The exams does not make any sense!
the lectures were actually not bad. But the exams and homework are ridiculous.
The key to get an A in this class is actually study the textbook and do the exercises before hand. Professor Lintakoon cares about our class so much that he got SO upset if you served the net and not paying attention. This hands-on class will play a BIG part in your future career. I got an A and I am proud of it because I actually study.
I recommend professor L because he makes you think and you will learn. I ended up getting a B+ in his class and an A is possible. However, I heard that there are other professors that teaches the same course and with little work or no effort, you will get an A. That means, you have to work for your A with professor L. Also he does not curve.
Java can be easy or hard, depending on how you approach the course. It was hard to understand him at times, but he tries to be fair. You definitely have to work for this grade.
Prof. L is taking over the MIS Classes! I would tell you that he does not curve. If you get an 89, you will end up with a B+. If he curved then it would be an A. Competition is high in the RBS and a 3.5 is slightly different than a 4.0. It is possible to get an A in his class, with lots of extra effort. He good though, but no curving!
I had this man for my freshmen year and he makes what he teaches sound hard, but he really makes it easy for you. He is the reason I ended up in my major. I have take him several other times and he really is one of the best. He works with you and cares about his students.
He is awesome Professor. He knows his field well. Always keen to help his students, does not mind if corrected and often goes out his way if a student desires so. Ofcourse, there is nothing known as an Easy A in his class. The only way I got one was to study my A off and get A in every test. But,good thing is there are loads of extra credit, cheers!
I am currently in the class and I'm having the hardest time understanding him.He speeds through every topic, so if you get lost, good luck. His tests are very tricky, and the book won't help. There is realy no way to study for the class, unless you sit in front of your computer all day figuring out all the formulas, etc.He does love the topics though
If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. His test are VERY TRICKY. He wants you to read the text book (300+ each and there are 3 of them) because his test are 50% textbook knowledge and 50% in class knowledge. He tells you that if you fail the first test he wants you to drop the class. He is straight forward and does not bs.
I am a senior and I took Prof. Lintakoon MIS class last year and because of his class I got an offer even before I graduate. He is a great professor and recipient of "The most motivational", "The most Knowledgeable" and "The most Sociable" by students 2012" by all Newark students. Take his class but you need to have a good learning attitude.
He's a good & fair teacher. Very slight accent. Covers mainly Access, Excel and some Word end of semester. Also requires to develop website (basic) and binary codes. Grp prj. Naturally, intro MIS is alot of work.
He flies through all the chapters and does not review for the test. He wants the students to know very specific things about access and excel and it's impossible. About 10 chapters for one test!!! Do not take him if you care about learning or passing with a decently good grade!
Do not listen to the people that say this class is impossible. Just study all powerpoints and chapter questions. Make sure you understand it and you will get A's.
Class is not all that interesting, but is not too boring. Doesn't specifically say what chapters will be on tests, expects you to study all he discussed. However, if you take notes and pay attention the material isn't all that hard to understand. Group projects and the final project can really boost your grade if struggling.
DO NOT LISTEN to anyone who tells you this teacher is bad. He has a great heart and he really wants students to learn not just go to class.I currently have a b+ in this class and I feel as though i haven't put in all my effort. He isALWAYS there to help. Also he does two projects just to boost your grades up. THIS is college guys , get over it.
One of the BEST professors I had. He will make you understand the material and at the end of the class you can really say you learn something new. Quizzes are easy, for Midterm and Final he will give you a good review, 2 projects for his class. Not an easy course but if you spend some time in the material you will be good. My final grade was A.
Pretty good professor. He was very approachable and does seem to care that you actually learn useful stuff. There's a few quizzes, 2 projects, 2 tests and a final. He doesn't curve & I would recommend going to all classes; the books assigned have more than you need to know and are quite long. I got an A at the end.
He definetely tries to challenge you but its not too bad. Genuinely nice person and really wants you to get something other than a grade out of the class. Tests could be difficult but you can use the computer to help you
he's great. He teaches you exactly what you need to know, so pay attention. He wants you to experiment to learn, and ispretty good at providingsupport. he's not fast. ppl who BS in class think he is though
EXTREMELY HARD! i paid attention in all his classes and always studied bc gpa means a lot to me! he flies through all the chapters and is very tough and hard! is not clear and all his tests are not always the same questions and review concepts as he tells you!! don't take unless you want to fail!
This Professor gives the trickiest exams! Even though I got a B in this class. If you don't care about MIS at all, I would recommend another Professor. He makes you work more than the other MIS Professors. He goes into depth, more of the computer science stuff.
TERRIBLE! Avoid taking him if you can. Flies through material and won't stop to answer questions. Everyone is always confused. Exams are tricky. Has a thick accent and is not lucid. Book is needed to get a decent grade. Don't bother emailing him.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. He is extremely rude and does not help you at all. Flies through chapters and gives ridiculously hard tests. Stay away
He is a great teacher, easy to understand, takes class through examples step by step. The only fault is he will ask questions on the exam about stuff not covered directly in class, but it is in the slides (for which there are 100s) and in the textbook (300+ pages) Everything else is easy and hes a real nice guy so you can approach him if needed
Professor Lintakoon is great! He's the reason why I love MIS and why I'm going to major in it. He helps all the students and he is really honest. He explains everything well and if you pay attention, you'll easily get a good grade.
The guy is really nice and always helps you out. he will stop the lecture to show someone how to save something basically.. but focus on the lectures and follow the examples.. take good brief notes of what he does and the examples and you will be in good shape.. Amazing teacher i would def. take another class with him. Got an A
Adorable little Asian man. Go to class! it helps and he takes attendance. All assignments are super easy its his exams that are hard. I got hundreds on everything except his 2 exams and the second quiz. I didn't have the book which i regretted. He teaches literally out of it so i definitely suggest getting it. Overall hes a good professor.
Lintakoon is a boss. All the exam questions come from the quizzes and tests. Steps to do the excel homeworks are detailed step by step in the textbook. There's one group project, know your stuff cause he might pick on you at random and ask you to explain the project concept. Overall, this guy gives you so many chances to pass with an A. Must Take!!
Have to work to your grade, must study and do all homework. Easy grade if you STUDY STUDY STUDY
Make sure that you get 100 on assignments and at least 70s-80s in testsquizzes, you should end up with a B
Lintakoon is a great professor, he literally gives A to all of his students as long as they put in the work. Only those who are irresponsible and inherently unintelligent will find this course complex. This is literally the easiest MIS professor.
To be successful: don't miss lecture, read the chapters-you will be tested on stuff that isn't taught in class. important to read Homework, participation, attendance- it's a big boost, don't miss out Ask questions- he will take the time to explain, if you're not sure just ask Great Prof, will learn a lot, you must put in an effort!
His classes are fun, and you learn a lot of useful material. If there is anything you do not understand, he will stop to explain, just ask. Read the text books and ppt slides for the exams. Tests are tough but he gives many chances for grade improvement. Do well on homework, group proj- make sure everyone in group knows material, and be present
Lintakoon is a good professor. If you show up to class, you will understand because you are there for the lectures. Group project is kind of difficult but is the same every semester--an excel spreadsheet about car payments. He also teaches a little but of HTML which is helpful. He is nice when he wants to be.
He's a good professor. Lectures weren't long and had a sense of humor. The class itself wasn't bad. I put in B effort and got an A. I would take him again
Good professor and a pretty fun class. Only problem with the class is that it was sometimes hard to understand what he was saying because of his accent. Otherwise I'd take him again but don't expect an easy A you still got to work for it.
Lintakoon is the most boring professor I've ever had. Talks at you with powerpoints behind him, for a 4 hour lecture! Assumes you know everything and spends little to no time explaining anything. If you don't have someone outside to help you... good luck completing the assignments... his requirements are not clear. Also a huge language barrier
He was okay. Just reads off the powerpoints. Lots of terms to remember and define for quizzes. Also one of the only professors I've had (so far) that's really into group projects. That was honestly the highlight of the class. Pretty boring overall. I got a C+ because I was just uninterested with his lectures, if I tried I could've pulled an B+
If you make yourself interested in the material you will do well in the class, it is just a matter of following steps. Pay attention and you will do fine. The only times Ive ever read the textbook was the day before a test going through the definitions in the chapters and that was all I needed to do well. DON'T TAKE THE GROUP PROJECT LIGHTLY.
Best Professor I've had so far!! Prof teaches material for exams through lectures, power points, and labs. There are 3 exams, 2 quizzes, 2 projects, and 4 HW grades. Attendance counts!! Professor really cares about teaching the material and if you do the work assigned and take notes you'll get an A
I had professor Lintakoon as an adjunct professor at Kean University. He has mentioned that his main job is teaching at Rutgers University. I couldn't find him on here for Kean. He cancelled class for nearly a month, then all of our tests were online open book. He was an alright professor but I just felt that I was just given an A+
One of the nicest and easiest Professors I've ever had. You get to use your computer for all of the exams. One group project and final project which are easy. Bought the textbooks, but never used them. Gives you SO many options for bonus points so its really hard not to get an A. He really wants his students to succeed. I would take him again!
Excellent professor! Class is not hard, unless you make it hard. Quizzes/exams are very straightforward if you go to class and pay attention to what he teaches. Take notes of what he says and does, and you are guaranteed to get a good grade. Also, take advantage of the extra credit opportunities he gives, those extra points really help.
Lintakoon is a kindhearted and very friendly man. In class however, he seems to fly through chapters with little to no time to explain it to the fellow students. 3 tests including final and some homework and projects. This class is interesting and would recommend it however :)
Extremely caring and nice professor who always emphasized the correlation between the material learned in class and the real world. There are 3 tests including the final exam with a group project and an individual web project. Group project can be a little tough so be prepared. Overall, great professor.
Great professor however tends to teach rather quickly so MUST to pay attention. Material is okay if you study. However, he is quite hard to reach outside of the classroom. BUT replies so quickly to emails. Also, there is a group project!
He goes super fast in class and tells you to slow him down or visit him during office hours if you have a question. But visit him during office hours, he will either ignore you knocking on his door or give you the biggest attitude. He places you in groups to avoid having to answer questions if you do ask him a question he doesnt answer.
The way you perform on the exams depends on how much information you are able to retain from his super fast lectures and reading the textbook. He is super rude when approached. His projects are difficult because he gives no explanation on how to do them.
I really enjoyed his class. He is really easy going. Very understanding for people who have other obligations.
Great guy. Really wants his students too suceed. Learned a great deal in his mis class, would take again as a teacher. His tests are straightforward, take notes and study his PowerPoints and youll do well. He gives bonus points too so you should be fine. Take him for MIS :D
Do not take this guy! Goes too fast in lectures. Exam reviews are not clear.
Good professor, really wants you to learn. He does go fast in his lectures so make sure you're paying attention. His first test was pretty hard but they get a little easier as the class continues. Don't take him for an easy A, you'll have to work for it.
DO NOT TAKE CS 336 WITH THIS PROF. He is really unorganized. You will not learn anything in his lectures. Course material is really useful but he did really poor job teaching it. He cancelled lectures (5 Lectures) without any reason. He does not go over his slides, he expects you do all the work without talking about it in lectures.
I don't know why people don't like him. The class is super easy as long as you know what is going on in class. He is funny and engages whole class in discussion. There 2-4 homework assignment and one group project, which is easy. If you study from the textbook and know what is going on you pass with A for sure.
(1/5) He teaches in the business school, I REALLY dont know why they made him teach in the CS department. He changed his words like 10 timed during the semester. First, he said there will be only one big final project instead of final exam (with 2 midterms), then he made the final project due a month earlier so we can have a final.
He canceled so many classes. We were asked to use HTML, CSS, JSP/ASP, and ofc SQL. I really cant say I learned any SQL in his class, he hardly taught anything. I would have failed the first exam if I didnt self-teach myself SQL. What he taught in terms of SQL were nothing compared to what we had on the first midterm.
8 homeworks, 1 big project (website and link it to a DB) 2 midterms, 2 finals. Yes, 2 finals. He is nice and funny, he will make you love him the first 2 weeks, after midterm 1 you will hate him a bit, after midterm 2 you will hate him a bit more, and regret you had him after the first final. I learned 0 things in class, and attendance mandatory
Mandatory attendance AND participation, which are included in your final grade. No curve with strict grading standard. Reasonable teaching. I did a lot for my project but finally it has the same weight as attendance and participation. Tests are reasonable.
2 Midterms, 1 big project, 2 finals, and no leeway on the grading scheme. Lectures are required and you will learn nothing since he spends 1/3rd of the lecture either talking about changing the grading scheme, or canceling other lectures in the future (He cancelled Wednesday lecture 3 times in a row). AVOID HIM.
learned a lot about excel in this class. Loved Lintakoon very nice and funny. Class is pretty easy. Don't skip class. 3 homeworks. 1 group project. 1 individual all pretty easy. 3 exams. Exams are easy too mostly multiple choice.
Very easy class. I added the class right at the end of A/D period, so I was already behind, however, the material is very easy to pick up. Textbook not mandatory however it is helpful. Midterms 1 and 2 were very easy, however, I found the final to be a bit hard. Regardless, I got a C on it but still easily got an A in the class. Funny prof.
had to drop the class. did great on all the homework but when I asked him for help he wouldn't help at all. he would always just tell me to look in the book. I would look in the book and still not understand something and he continued to refuse to help me
Easy class. Homeworks and projects are nothing to stress over. Exams are fair. Pay attention in class and take notes!!! That's the key to an A. One thing though is he goes very fast, but will slow down if you ask. Exam 1 was slightly more difficult, but nothing too bad. Exam 2, and both quizzes are cake and the final wasn't bad at all.
He is a very easy grader when it comes to homework and projects. However the test are a bit tricky but as long as you read the textbook and pay attention in class you should be fine.
Funny guy and a good lecturer, if a bit unorganized. He gives a lot of material and homework to prepare for the exams. The only coding you really have to do is the big group final project. Participation and attendance count. Super useful class btw. Would take with him again.
makes the class difficult for no reason. when u ask him for help, he won't help and he tells you to look in the book. the homework and quizzes were easy, however the exams were difficult. says he really wants you to understand the material, but his teaching is so fast, you won't understand a thing. take him only if u have no other choice.
Professor Lintakoon is hilarious. He will give you 5 test answers before each test spontaneously. He demonstrates happiness and passion for MIS and tries to make the class as interactive as possible. The book is like 10 bucks and honestly, you really don't need it.
Lintakoon is really cool. He's very hilarious and informative. MIS was really fun and he helps make it interesting by applying the concepts to real life. Since his classes are a lot less conceptual and more hands-on than other business classes, it means that you have to understand how to do these things to pass the class.
He does breeze through the lectures and is quick, but there is always extra time left at the end of the class, and he's available for questions. The Excel textbook isn't really necessary; I took him for MIS. He inspired me to major in MIS as his lectures provided a lot of knowledge to real world applications and knowledge.
Honestly at first I thought I'd fail his class, he gets pretty annoyed when students ask him questions and expects us to know all the answers, so he pretty much makes us scared to ask questions but I found the homework and project to be pretty easy, just make sure you read all the guidelines he gives and for quizzes he mentions the Qs in lectures.
The class itself isn't too hard, but it's a lot of self studying. Often times he'll cancel lectures and make you watch a youtube video about the lesson. He also randomly picks on students to answer so you have to know your stuff or he'll make an example out of you. Overall kind of annoying. I would avoid this class tbh.
This course is not difficult, as long as you attend and read PowerPoint for every class. There's also not a lot of homework, and if you have a clear process, you'll even get bonus points. And I think professors are amiable and easy to communicate with
Easy stat methods class if youre looking for. Everything is open notes and super easy. Optional final and only 3 HW assignments, and one midterm. I recommend him if you want a stress free class
Watch his pre recorded lecture videos they come in handy. Exam was open note and fairly easy. Projects and homework assignments were also simple and easy (and fun to make for MIS). Learned a lot about excel which is a good skill to learn for future careers.
honestly dont stress if u get him as a professor. he isn't too bad. definitely a lot of homework and you have to buy the $100 mindtap software if u plan on staying in the class. he teaches very well, in a way to get the kids to understand. overall if you do ALL your work you wont flunk this course
His pre-recorded lectures really helped. He grades participation, so make sure you do that to pass. As long as you pay attention and study for exams, you'll pass.
In all honesty, this teacher is easy A. Homework assignments and tests are easy due to multiple choice/true & false questions which can be found online. This is the worst class ever, especially for those that are genuinely trying to learn python. Only 4 hw assignments and tests(barely any coding). Midterm only 20 questions. Hard to understand.
Easy A but if u actually want to learn something don't take this class. He does the bare minimum and barely teaches. He recycles his old lessons and canceled class multiple times. Even though it's supposed to be in person we've only had 5 in-person classes. Most times he canceled for bs reasons like "the room is too hot". Avoid this teacher.
Easy a but probably couldn't learn anything. Powerpoint heavy but videos are from like a year or two ago. All quizzes are directly from quizlet and textbook.
This professor was literally the worst professor I've ever had in my 4 years of college. He barely assigned homework assignments and they were worth a small percentage of your grade. Only two quizzes and two tests in the whole semester. His way of teaching his class is not helpful and is in fact boring. Worst professor in Rutgers Newark BS
Solid professor overall. His lecture style consists of PowerPoint slides, labs covering excel/SQL, and the occasional anecdotes which may not be everybody's favorite style. Assignments and exams not the toughest but require bearing through all the boring supplemental videos he posts. Doing the bare minimum should guarantee an A/B honestly.
I dropped his MIS class after one day. One of the best decisions I ever made. We made groups in the first class and my group could not even pass 1st grade. Based on my group members weak skills I knew I had to drop this class.
This class was ok. Very little homework but the tests were difficult and require alot of studying. If you have to take this class be sure to watch and take notes on every video he posts and also read through the textbook especially for the SQL portion of the class.
Take good notes, and watch the modules at 2x speed.
Amazing lectures, and he's an amazing person but his exams are no joke. STUDY the homework and really listen to what he emphasizes during class because that will show up on exams. His class isn't an easy A, but you will learn a lot of valuable information. He's been in the game for a while so really listen to him.
This teacher is not understanding and can be strict. Sometimes he rushes through the lectures which makes it hard to understand the material. He is very nice though and gives you plenty of chances to boost your GPA. If you need to take MIS do it with him.
very easy class, goes over everything very thoroughly. does host a lot of online classes. gives many chances to boost your GPA, as long as you pay attention and put in effort its a very easy class where you learn a lot. very smart professor, passes on his wisdom to students
MIS is hard to understand, but he makes it much clearer. I really like his teaching style and he has a lot of useful knowledge. He gives you many chances to boost your GPA, even some tests & classes are online. He encourages you to be social and work together to pass his class. He is very understanding too, he excused my absence when I was sick.
Great professor and he cares whether you learn the material or not. You have to study hard and that can be done by watching his modules. He's a funny guy and gives many opportunities to raise your grade.
Good guy, it's clear that he cares about whether or not you actually learn the material. Be warned though, as the tests do require a fair bit of preparation and they aren't exactly something you can study overnight, especially if computers aren't something you're already interested in.
A caring professor who doesn't necessarily worries if you got a good grade, but rather you get something educational to carry into your professional career. Made the class interesting with his stories and real life examples. Was very engaged and open to questions. Overall wanted to see you succeed.
He is strict when he needs to be, but can make accommodations for special circumstances. Business Research Methods class- gotta know your statistical methods eg. probability
Easy class- however he is strict when he needs to be, but can make accommodations in special circumstances. You've got to know your stats
I mean, he does a pretty good job of explaining the subject, but he is strict. Most of his lectures are fine, but some of them can be hard to understand. His tests are hard, and you need to study really well for them, and you have to pay good attention to his lectures. And he does give good advice and information that can help you while working.
As someone who took Professor Lintakoon for Intro to MIS a while ago, if you are a MIS major, I recommend taking someone else as he only "scratches the surface" of SQL + other core concepts. If you are not an MIS major, definitely take him, as he gives a nice introduction to the subject. The exams are worth a lot of points so definitely get ready!
Class was rlly easy. Almost all classes/work/exams were online. If you already know python this is a good class for you. If you need to learn don't take him. Got high grades on all exams. Even rounded my final grade from 98->100. Would def take for an easy A but not to learn. Plus he's funny
He's honestly the easiest professor I have taken. At the start of the year, we would be exclusively in person; three weeks in, you will never see him again in person ever. All of his exams and quizzes are pretty easy--all online and open notes. The textbook is also online.
Overall, the Professor was mediocre when it came to teaching. His lectures were helpful in person rather than his online lectures. Sometimes he would get off topic, which made the class a bit boring. Class was test-heavy since there wasn't much homework. But overall, if you put in the work, you should be alright.
Everything needs to be done his way. Very detail-oriented.
He was a good teacher but he was hard the whole time. Pause. I am able to pass the class without having the textbook, but it definitely helps
Easy grade. Depending on the class, you might not learn anything just because of how easy it is. If you wanna actually learn CS, take a different professor.
The professor made jokes in the class and tried to explain things as simple as possible. Some projects will have little to no explanation on how to do them but a detailed explanation on what he wants and he will give you a month. I reccomend having a friend group in the class to do things or else you will be a little confused. Overall good class :)
unorganized professor, does not care about his students. he fear mongers about grades. no help for study guides at all, he gives us 3 practice questions and calls it a day. he runs through slides, does not explain and can't answer a question to save his life. expects you to study a million topics and then make the test 20 questions. save yourself
I mean he's alright. He can go pretty fast and tries to make class as entertaining as possible. If you get something wrong, he will tease you a little. He's given an open computer final, which is a massive plus. Just participate, do the homework, watch the videos, and definitely have a friend group because I would NOT have made it without them.
He lacks organization and does not provide a clear study guide, which hinders learning. He often blames students for low performance and is unresponsive to questions. While the course is test-heavy, homework and the capstone help improve final grades. He is very strict about attendance and punctuality.
