The class is very in depth but she makes class SUPER fun. You will find yourself laughing with or at her because she does make nerdy jokes. Hello obterator! Like with other professors, there is a quiz every week so show up. Study hard at home and use the open labs and you should do well.

I heard she only teaches this class, so I purposely failed the course just to have her again.

Choron is not only cutesie, she is very smart and FUNNY. She is serious about teaching YOU. Choron will never leave you hanging if you do not completely understand a concept. Show up to labs, ask questions and you will do great.

She is funny, animated, hip, and young. She knows her stuff and is through the moon to help her students. The content is hard so study and go to open lab- heck study in open lab, even if you just go to read the book. Choron goes above and beyond and even spends extra hours helping on the weekends. Quiz every week, lecture in lab, and some hands on.

Hands down, Charon is one of the most amazing professors I have had. She's helpful, cares about her students, and will go above and beyond. I wouldn't take anyone else for Bio lab. With that said, you still need to go to open lab and study before each quiz in order to do well on the exams. I had friends rearrange their schedule to take her.

The best thing to happen to the biology department is Choron! If you don't take her labs, then you're just cutting yourself short. She makes me wanna be a better student.

The course is difficult if you don't pay attention in class and study outside of class just because there is so much information to know. Attend open labs!! I made it a point to keep Choron as my lab teacher for BIO112.

The class is amazing. Before i thought that lab will be hard for me, but it did not. she is there to help students and explain the lectures in the way that everyone can understand it and can catch up on it. i recommend this class to everyone. remember, ask questions. she loves to help everyone in class.

Choron makes you want to learn more. She is so passionate about what she is teaching and presents the information well, and makes it easier to understand. I would highly suggest taking lab andor lecture with her. The class is hard, but she is so helpful. I have nothing negative to say about her.

Choron is great! I had her as my Anatomy 112 lecture professor. She gives fill in the blank notes and really specific study guides. As long as your willing to put in the time to study you should do fine!

The class was hard because it was 5 weeks and it was a LOT of anatomical memorization. To pass, one will have to attend class, study, and go to open lab. Choron is extremely passionate about teaching. She gives extra credit and tells you what you will need to know for tests and quizzes. She's funny and energetic! You'll want to come to class.

By far, the best professor that I have taken at UAA. Professor Ryan is so passionate about what she is teaching and she is able to express difficult concepts in terms that students can understand and grasp. Choron Ryan is by far my favorite teacher I've ever had! She's hilarious, but sticks to the topic. She does a lot for her students and helps them in anyway possible. She also gives out very helpful mnecomics and does the: "you MAY need to know this! *wink*" thing. This class is all memorizing! Attend open lab and study your models!!

Anatomy is a tough class! Put fourth the effort and you will succeed, I had a 78 after the curve and expressed how hard I worked and she bumped be to a solid 80! Talk to her about your difficulties and interact with other students.

Ryan is very specific on what is on the tests. She gives study guides that the tests are based off on and correspond to the powerpoints she creates. She really wants to see her students succeed. Grade is based off of 3 tests.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Had been warned the class was impossibly hard. She made it cake! Insanely helpful, straightforward, super nice, & approachable, + corny jokes. I got a very low D on my first exam, talked to her, then got an A on the second one. Take notes on pop quizzes, follow study guides & you'll do great! One exam left & i'll be done :)

Choron Ryan is an amazing A&P lecture professor. She has all of her powerpoint and even makes study guides online which is so helpful. She also will help you learn things with little riddles in class and make jokes to make things easier to remember. Anatomy is a hard class no matter what but she really was a great prof.

Prof Ryan wants you to succeed. It's obvious why her classes fill up so fast making it nearly impossible to get into them. She is so straightforward. You have to put in work but if you do, you will easily get an A. She makes this rigorous class entertaining and fun and doable. I never skipped one class. She is so respected by students as well.

She's so adorable! She went to Yale so she knows what she's talking about and she finds a way to put an exciting twist on everything. She's very understanding but knows how to lay the law down if needed. It's a very difficult class, loads of memorization. But if this is a big part of your major and you have to take it, she's the teacher for you.

First off, Choron is a hilarious professor who shows she cares about her students' success in A&P in any way that she can. Her lectures are never boring. She gives ungraded pop quizzes at the end of every lesson and many of those quiz questions appear on the exams, so it is VERY important to attend class. Overall, great professor, great class!

Choron is UAA's hidden gem! Arrange your schedule to take her classes. She knows the content, is SO helpful, and has a great energy in lecture. She gives questions at the end of lecture which helps you figure out if you understand the concept, as well as held a study session for the final on HER WEEKEND. Like, what? She's that wonderful!

I really enjoyed this class with Choron. She was helpful with explaining something you didn't understand. It would be wise to attend every class because sometimes she gives extra info the text does not touch upon. The textbook, I suggest you still read the chapters ahead of time, so you'll understand the lectures.

Choron was an AMAZING anatomy and physiology teacher. She made the long lectures fun and the tests aren't hard as long as you study her study guides she makes for each exam. Don't bother wasting the money on the book, but buy the online version for cheaper (ebook) because she assigns extra credit through it and it is all really easy! Really great.

She is perfect in every way! She really wants her students to succeed and it shows in her lectures. She is the best professor I've had during my 3 years at UAA so far. Just make sure you show up to class and keep up with the material.

Prof Ryan is 110% THE best thing about UAA. A&P is NOT easy, but Choron wants you to "get it" so she sets extra office hours, pop quizzes, and study guides to help you succeed. She makes all the material fun to learn, with jokes and mnemonics. If you have the chance to take her, you'll be in GREAT hands. Study the slides and use the guides!!!

Basically you have 4 exams, the lowest grade of which will be removed. This helps you get the best grade possible. She's super understanding and goes way above the call of duty. Makes study guides, has informal study groups, and posts all lecture material (minus pop quizzes) on blackboard. SHE IS AMAZING!!

Choron is a highly respected professor at UAA and I found her lectures to be a lot of fun! The material is heavy and towards the end of the lecture your eyelids will start to feel a bit heavy due to the content, but I swear if it wasn't any other professor I would have easily fallen asleep within the first five minutes! Go to class for test hints!

Choron Ryan, with a very down to earth personality, you immediately feel comfortable around her. She is always helpful and will make time outside of class to meet with you. She is hilarious and has many funny stories to shares with the class, and good study habits that personally worked for me. I would recommend taking her for your first BIO 111!!!

Ryan is easily hands down the best professor I have had at UAA yet! Don't be fooled the class is an extremely hard subject and they do expect a lot out of you on exams but Ryan made class enjoyable and I looked forward to going to class every week. There are weekly quizzes but she gives hints before each one. Her lectures are amazing & super funny!

Listen. TAKE HER AT ALL COSTS. Even if you have to drop/switch around other classes, TAKE HER AT ALL COSTS. She goes above and beyond and makes A&P doable. I for example, didn't have a biology background from HS. I got an A on all her exams. You still have to work hard and memorize the same amount, but the way she teaches it, TAKE HER AT ALL COSTS

Professor Ryan is one of a kind! She is smart, funny, entertaining, and overall just a great proffesor! She really helps students, especially if they're not understanding certain information, she'd stay late after class just to answer questions of students who may not understand something. She is one of the best professors I've ever had!

Prof Ryan is one of the best teachers suited for a BIO class! Her lectures are easy to follow, and she tries to make them somewhat entertaining to listen to. After the first exam, she offered an in-person group on how to study for her exams, which was SO HELPFUL! It made a huge difference! She is a tough grader, but she wants you to understand.

Shes AMAZING! Took Online lecture with her and her voice lectures are so good, its as if you are sitting in class with her! Choron has a great love for biology. She's very passionate about it and doesn't just read her slides verbatim. Expect puns and corny jokes. You're only graded on 3 exams, plus lab. The lowest score is dropped. Attendance isn't mandatory, but is recommended. You WILL have to study; there's a lot of material to learn. Flashcard apps helped me a lot.

The absolute BEST professor you can have for A&P. She explains material in an easy to understand way and I can't stop recommending her to new students. I really wish she was teaching A&P 2 when I needed to take it because shes just so amazing and really set my expectations high for professors.

Choron makes this extremely difficult class very accessible and the support she gives to her students is unprecedented. Her lectures are thorough and clearly explained. This professor truly cares about her students. She was with us every step of the way for A&P 2, and gave us every opportunity to achieve the grade that we worked for. 10/10 would take her class again, she is amazing!!!

Wants all her students to succeed, and all of us mainly do. It's a heavy-memorization class but A&P is always like that. Unlike UAA, the grading is fair and she prefers the spelling of anatomical terms to be phonetically close, but we don't need to fully memorize the correct spelling which helps a lot. Very engaging as well, love her!!
