Prof. Arra is extremely helpful, nice, and clear! He teaches really well....makes powerpoint slides for you to just print out so you dont have to try to write every word down. and he is the most helpful person i have met at nova...i would DEEEEF recommend him to anyone who has to take this class!!!

Holly Piss this guy is Extremely easy all you have to do is show up for his class. and he gives you the notes on PP slides so you just have to listen. and another thing is if you have seen the Tv show the critic, he reminds you of J. Sherman and resembles him also. ^_^

This is the 2nd class I've taken with Dr. Arra, he is always very well prepared and very laid back. He lectures for an hour, then we go on break. Then we do group work and go over it and leave. We have 2 group projects during the semester and he does an exam review the week before the test. He is awesome, there's no better professor than Dr. Arra.

This is the 3rd class I have taken of Dr. Arra's. He is so easy and funny. He is one professor who really wants you to do well in his class. He is very straightforward and lets you know what is going to be on his Exam the class before. I would take another class of his if I get the opportunity to. "Remember facial expressions" "smile god loves you"

I never opened the book and got an A. Its an easy class. You dont even need to go to the bulk of the lectures. Just be sure to go to the class the week before an exam, he gives you all the questions just as they appear on the exam. All you have to do is look up the answers and commit to memory. If you cant get a B, I wouldn't reenroll in college.

Hes pretty easy and really cool. He has a sense of humor and his lectures are interesting. His tests are easy, he tells you EXACTLY what you need to know. definitely an EASY class. text book not required. very fun. however, for those with a legit interest in psych, the class is somewhat limited in range and the subjects/school of psych discussed were very biased towards the professor's fields of interest. also, not a lot of interaction/discussion with class. still, overall fun and an easy A!

easy to understand...talks a lot but you learn a lot! great teacher, a lot of group work though. three exams and he gives you the questions to study from for the tests. if you study the questions you get an A easily

This has to be the EASIEST class/teacher i have ever taken. He is easier than grade school. Honestly, you don't even need to go to class to pass. He practically tells you all you need to know as a review for the exam. your grade is based on the exams and group projects. the projects are more like easy class work.

THEE most hilarious teacher I've ever had. He encourages group projects and, in fact, has them during class. Come to class and you'll be sure to have a laugh. He makes it very entertaining. The work isn't hard. His powerpoints and assignments are online. Doesn't care when you turn in your work, as long as it's turned in by the end of the semester.

Dr. Arra is super HILARIOUS and sarcastic. His grading scale is done by a point scale. That means you have to get as MANY points on the tests as possible. The tests aren't hard, but be there for his reviews. If you're taking this class to major, don't take it. If you need this for just an elective. Take it. You'll enjoy it.

Hilarious guy, very entertaining to listen to. I had and still have almost zero interest in psychology but he really made it interesting for me. His grading system was a little rough (once you lose points, you couldnt get back.) But I highly recommend this professor, just make sure you study for your exam

A great professor really understanding and as long as you tell him before hand that you will miss class he's ok with it. Not much homework just a few group projects and test but that test he does a great review and tells you what to study. I would suggest to anyone

took his psy 201 class pass with B n i never pay attention now im taking his psy 202 class. he's the best. dont use the book much..no quizez,whole semester is only 2 test and and final n 3 group projest...if take him in summer no homeworks which he gives at the benning of semester n dont have to turn it in until the end of semester

I've taken intro Psychology before twice and i HATED it until this class. Dr. Arra made it interesting and was always making funny scenarios with the kids in the class. His tests aren't hard or long as long as you pay attention 1/2 the time and read over your exam review before hand.few assignments, but easy grade

Easiest class of my life, got an A. He?s an extremely funny and sarcastic guy which made this class a lot more enjoyable. Definitely take as an elective and not if Psychology is your major. He is not as easy as some people have rated him as but he is easy overall. Not everyone gets an "A" in his class but alot of people do and i guess, and rate him as though if he is god or something, But others who apperantly don't do as well don't get the chance to rate him. But my from my experience he ain't easy, i actually got a "C" in his clas.

He is so easy to understand unlike some teachers of sciences. He speaks in a vernacular that almost everyone can understand.

I am currently in the middle of taking 202 with him, but I also took 201 with him and now my husband is taking 201 with him. He is awesome and he teaches in a way that everyone can undestand. and he's got jokes. I finished 201 with a "C" (because I missed a few classes last semester" but this semester I'm doing pretty well. I really like him!

Best teacher at Nova by far, one of the few teachers that I didn't dread the lectures. I think he's good at it because he enjoys it and it's more than just a paycheck to him.

Prof Arra's way of teaching is very interesting and easy to understand.The class was not that easy A but he makes very easy class. The best teacher for psychology. ADVISE: the exam review should be noted super fast coz same question for exam but he does not repeat the questions in class. been there.

I took his 201, 231, and 232. I highly recommend him! I'm a psych major and enjoyed his class. He's funny, and provides a very helpful study guide for the tests. I recommend doing your own study guide it helps. Also group projects are easy just use your book and you will be fine.

Dr. Arra is a great professor. Highly recommend to go to each class. However, not a fan of late students, so try to be on time. He is very funny, and highly knowledgeable. This class wasn't an easy A, you have to work for and make sure you do the assignments, which are not that difficult.

Ive taken Dr. Arra for psy 201 and 202. I would only attend class when there was group work, exam review, and of course when we had exams. And I passed with and A But still go class. I would highly recommend going to the exam reviews, all he does is give you the questions to the test and then you just have to find the answers. Hes an easy A

This class is really easy. Three tests, 2 group projects, and at least 8 assignments. Definitely go to the test reviews as he reads directly from the test. Do not by the textbook as it is not needed, if you do buy it get the previous edition and not the current one.

I literally love Dr. Arra. He's so laid back, and funny! All you need to attend are the group projects, tests/ reviews, and exams. He doesn't seem to care if you miss, but GOD FORBID you come in late or plan to leave early. He will call you out in front of everyone. Overall an awesome teacher. Bummed I couldn't take him this spring.

Dr. Arra is too cool to give us a butt-load of coursework! Most of it is group work, and the others are homework and tests. And the exam questions are straight from the textbooks quizzes, which I highly recommend taking them and studying them before each test. Take him and you will have fun and do great!

You will overall take 3 tests during the semester you have him. They're not long and super easy. He doesn't give much homework other than studying for tests or preparing for easy A group projects. I don't think he believes in homework, honestly. I've had him twice already and plan on taking him again next semester for PSY 216.

This is an easy A class! Just show up and you will pass. The group project is easy i think everyone got full points. Make sure to show up for review! I only studied the questions from the review and got an A. If you are looking for an easy class take him!

Easy A, as long as you have the right strategy. Nothing on the exams are from the lecture its all from the study guide. Dont buy the textbook. Don't show up for lecture, and only go to exam reviews and group PROJECTS (not group work). IF you're planning on majoring in psychology, beware, he only goes over the things he finds important.

You can get an A in this class easily so long as you do all the work and study for the tests. The tests are honestly not that hard if you study at least half an hour for them. You also wanna be there for the lectures, you'll really get a kick out of his humor.

His lectures are so boring like i feel like i dont even listen to them. Sometimes hell throw in a joke here and there to wake people up and theyre sometimes funny. Group project days were the best because you got out early. The test is identical to the guide just study it carefully because there are like 2 trick answers. Assignments are easy

Dr. Arra was very good at teaching things and made sure what he said was understood by the class. Alternates between lectures one day and group work the next. Pick a good group at the beginning of the year because that will most likely be the same group you work with all year. Tests were easy, as he told you exactly what to expect.

Dr. Arra's class is not a difficult one. His tests were all very easy and you can tell he definitely knows what he's talking about during his lectures. He's not harsh on grading or anything, and he's a good guy. Don't expect to go too in depth into learning though, as his lectures kind of only brush over topics.

Professor Arra is great, we had a few in-class group projects in place of homework, exams are simple and open book, he explains everything well and makes sure it's all covered.

If you are to take his class, take a longer/multi-day class. He definitely knows the content that he's teaching, and he's not one to shy away from small talk. However, due to only meeting once a week, there wasn't as much interaction as one would hope for. Apart from that, as long as you can take notes read up on the textbook, you'll be golden.

I really enjoyed his class this semester! You don't get many grades so make sure you study for the tests. He tells you what you should review the week before the test so study that stuff for sure but make sure to review the powerpoints as well. His lectures are clear and he uses lots of examples to relate the material to. Textbook is a must!

Gives great lectures. Not many grades so you must study for the tests. Classes are planned out from day one on his canvas which made it super helpful to know what to prepare for ahead of class. He is very caring of the students and very laid back! Overall a great professor i recommend!!!!

Amazing professor. Heavy on group projects and lectures, but you really do get a lot out of both. I learned a lot from this class. Professor Arra gave very informative lectures that held my attention and were funny. He is a fair grader and does give extra credit assignments. You can tell he cares about his students and their success.

Professor Arra's class is straightforward. Attend lectures, study the material, and you'll do well. The textbook is a must, but unstuck AI also proved helpful for test prep. Overall, a solid class with a chill vibe.

Professor Arra is a diamond in the rough. Community colleges don't often have the best professors, but he is hands down the best professor I've ever had. I don't know if it's because I find psychology so interesting or he was using psychological mind tricks to keep me engaged in the lectures, but he blew my mind every single class I attended. 10/10

Mr. Arra is an okay professor. The class is mostly lectures, 3 to 5 short written questions group project, and 3 exams. It's pretty easy if you show up. He gives a review before each test and usually tells you the exact questions. You can study using Natalie's 3 decks flashcards on Gizmo, which are really helpful.

Took his 8 week online summer class, but even then the workload was not too bad. Most of the assignments are easy quizzes and take less than 10 mins. Study for tests, submit stuff on time, read the textbook and you'll do just fine. So long as he can tell that you put in effort, he will often grade leniently if you miss some minor things.

This class setup was great. The textbook comes with quizzes that are graded by participation, and you can continue retaking them to study. These quizzes helped me greatly to get good grades on the tests. He also has several extra credit discussion assignments. He grades fairly and gives short bits of feedback. If you need a Psych class, Take him!
