He's on self-centered, conceited man. Blabs on and on about himself.

Good, keeps lectures short, lets us out early, kinda funny,

A funny professor! Explains things quite nicely with humorous eg.'s.

Funny but boring, very easy!
Easy but boring. Don't bother going to lecture, just read the text.
Boring to sit through but easy
Intimidates students, poor teaching methodology
friendly, gives many hints for exam, exams are clear and easy
Funny and a good Prof
all you technically need to do is go read the text and download the notes
never talks about relevant topics, Just memorize the textbook!
excellent prof; lecture a bit boring but tells jokes.
good lectures....but have little nothing to do with the textbook material
go to lectures a few weeks before exams, else a waste of 2 hours
loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads
hot hot hot
dicusses topics not related to lecture, sometimes out there

Great Prof, funny, tells great stories. All you need to know is the textbook for the MC, but you need to remember his stories for the short answers to get perfect!
Can get really rude, lectures pointless, doesn't discuss relevent topics, multiple choice questions are fairly easy if u study the text and his notes but his short answer suck, they can get really hard.
read the textbook, and go to his class for hints come exam time!
Can get very rude if you say anything he doesn't like or agree with. very very two-faced. watch out !!
Sometime he talked too much about himself, which were not related to his lecture. The fact is his mid-term and final exam short answer sections were easier than other prof. in the same course. It is good.
Sometimes he talks about things that don't seem relevant for longer than other things. He's not hot, but he's attractive.
very easy, makes course interesting
makes class interesting. well rounded professor, very smart. Even if u don't like business, the class is fun.

Professor Bovaird likes going to KFC very much. When he lectures, you listen to every word because you don't want to miss anything funny. A great Professor. (loads and loads and loads and loads)
Bovaird is an excellent prof who takes his knowledge of the material and enhances it with his own life experiences. The course is presented informally and in an entertaining way. Take this course with Bovaird, you'll enjoy it!
Cool teacher, his stories make class intersting
he's really teaching some stuff.and he's trying to make the lecture more interesting, that's a good try anyway
Good Teacher. One of the only classes I dont have to fight to stay awake in.
pretty good prof, interesting..decent course to take a bit boring at times.
He gives you a pretty good idea about what is going to be on the midterm and final. But the best thing to do if you're taking this course is to get your hands on as many past exams as possible and study off those!
This prof. is the most boring prof. on the face of the earth. Powers is way better.
Very realistic, down to earth, funny b/c he makes fun of himself and usually it's true
hes really very boring..after 15 mins of the lectures..half the students r sleeping....he should try to make the lecture interesting...its 2 hrs lecture..and most of the time we have to listen to his lifetime stories..after a while it gets really boring
He teaches a lot of stuffs that are not in the book; so to prepare exams, it's better to look at his "website"... but to be honest, sometimes it gets so boring in his lectures. I think part of it is about his voice...
talk too much, sometimes i fall asleep zzzzzzz sorry
this guy SUCKS.. he goes on and on talking about irrelevant topics instead of focusing on the materials that need to be taught.. didn't learn much in his class at all!
Very funny. Not at all rude, only reprimands if deserved. 1st year management exam is great...study the text. He's totally approachable.
funny guy gotta love him for that.... talks abt stuff that doesn't even have to do with the course but hey he's the BEST!!!
he's so booorrriinnggg...seriously!!!!i barely came to class...just read the textbook and u'll be fine!!!i'm not joking haha!!but he's nice tho..he's nice (i think..=p)
he's a looser. get over the whole bank thing already

Even though his lectures tend to be boring, the course is not something to get too tense about. Reading: highly recommended & if you need some motivation, go meet him in his office hours. Very down to earth guy. His personal stories are really touching I think that's what makes him human..haha.. :)
Prof. Bovaird is one of best profs on campus!
Good guy. Sometimes boring, sometimes interesting. At least he tries, more than I can say about some other profs.
The stupidest prof i have ever seen. all he is said is ****. very lazy always wants to leave early. repear same thing several times. if you like old nagging guy, take it
HE IS SOOO BORING!!!
He seems like he doesn't know ANYTHING.
He is just repeating what the other students just said during the lecture. Works no more than a loudspeaker.
good teacher but he takes 20minutes on one definition. like c'mon. thats ridiculous.
Not a bad person but as a professor he is just soooo boring and sometimes arrogant. I don't think you can learn much from him...regreat taking the course.
he is an awesome person! I would love to take another course that he teaches. His notes are posted online, so if you miss something you get an idea of what the class was about.
Don't like how he lectures... spends the 2 hours just going on and on about one little concept or definiton. Just reads off the notes on the website.
Terrible teacher
Great
He is super super boring...spends 2 hours teaching stuff that could easily be tought in 20 mins.
Awful, boring, slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww professor. Just plain horrible. Avoid him at all costs. Bovaird = Boring.
absolutely the most horrible prof. he's sooo arrogant. i went to his office hours for help on a paper and he talked down to me as if i was a complete idiot. he's never been able to hold down a job for more than 3 years b/c of his ego, and rants on through the class about his pathetic life.
*YAWN*
Don't bother going to class. Don't bother taking the class. Don't bother listening to his self centered speeches. Just don't.
talks tooooooooooooo slow!
Unbelievably boring professor.
Boring, but effective.
Needs professor Jones to teach for him.
A big bundle of teaching mastery.
just don't even bother going to his class. you'll ge more out of the 2hours just reading the text than you will from sleeping or listening to his garbage in his lect. with a class such as management, that anyone can easily make fun and interesting, bovaird shows no charisma or witt in his lectures.
You dont even have to go to class. boring and talks irrelevent stuff. read the book n you will do great(90 or above). sometimes swears when he is pissed & when you talks privately and then apologizes.
He suits more teaching in colleges or high school. He has a very unprofessional lecuring style. If he does not have his scrip, he probably just let students read books and sit there sipping coffee. By the way, that monotone kills, so make sure you bring a couple pillows and share them with your friends.
Nice guy a little unorthodox at times though
BAD PROF. no point going to his classes. study the book and you'll be fine. not a good idea to even approach him or go to his office hours b/c he is condescending, arrogant, and sarcastic. he puts up a front @ the beginning of the year saying he's such a great guy and very approachable..uh NO..
B-O-R-I-N-G as most of the students mentioned. Just read the damn book. Occassionally he may give hints on what might be on the exam. (just get it off another student, but in the end who cares? Its management so its a fairly easy course) Last thing, his mid-terms are always easy, he kills you on the FINAL. My mark dropped BIG TIME.
very very veeery boring
Took intro mgt in da summer. Pretty boring lecture... not very easy tho it SEEMS easy to get an A... mind you class average is only around C... MCQ is really hard, doesn't matter how much you study you'll still wonder why and how you screwed up when you get your marks back... SAQ is alright, but TAs are tough cookies... To sum it up, don't take it!
Very boring and sometimes the lecture isnt really related to the material. Sometimes selfish cuz he cut the class short to get something personal done.
swears in class, too much bs
well, although i didnt go to his class, but the exam is easy i think,,thx thx,,i just prepared for 30 hours be4 the exam then i got a good mark on it..thx again!
WORST prof everrr!! boring as hell. all he does in class is bs! u get absolutely nothing from that course... his exam questions are full of crap just like him!!
Very easy course for those science students taking as an elective. Attend every lecture, read the txtbook before exam, you will get an A for sure.
his stories in class are interesting/funny, although nothing related to his exams, you need to read the textbook. exams are fair to easy
useless course and stupid prof

hes a good prof, but apparently he doesnt know his alphabet, he doesnt theres a letter z
He is a very enthusiastic professor who tries hard to get the morning classses to be more engaged in his lectures...
worst prof i had at UofT. they can't fire him cause he's part of the program direction. he gives you good marks if he likes you, and bad marks if he doesn't. borring as hell, explains something for 2 hours while it can be explained in 10 minutes.
This Professor degrades the status of the university and the management program.
bovaird is a very enthusiastic and passionate lecturer. his examples are really good and often repeats them over and over which can be repetative but helps material stick. I had never taken any bussiness course in highschool but even though the material was new i found it pretty straightforward.make sure you know txt definitions. overall bird cours
some say that class attendance isn't mandatory and i agree, but i always went because he is one of my favourite profs! he seems like a genuinely nice and sweet old man. i like all the examples he brings in class to try to emphasize his ideas and everything. the exams are very hard though, so don't be deceived by his laid back persona in class!
Unfair marker, after a exam has been marked, no matter what you do (even if you are right) he will try his best to not change the mark. Has his ways to get the avg to be around 65 (short answers are marked unfair). Have heard of even belling down his avg. LIke to show that hes better than the studends and puts them down.
a really bad prof
Good prof, likes to help his students. Whatever he says is going to be on the exam is on it, so listen carefully, final exam was tricky.
I personally think the short answers on his exams are marked unfairly. The MC on the exams are easy though if you read through the textbook.
pretty good professor, find his lecture very inspiring
Prof Bovaird is an amazing prof.Asides his very personable traits of being very humble and down to earth he is very clear and covers all important material in class and relates it to everyday life.He is very upfront about what youre responsible to know so as long as u read the textbook and attend his classes youre guaranteed to get a good mark.
I've never had such an awful prof. in my life!!! This course isn't intended for non-management students and it definitely isn't a bird course. For one thing, the short ans. section was marked way too harshly. Also, Bovaird hates it when students disagree with him. How I wish I had listened to my friends who advised me not to take this course :@.
Great prof. Is very engaging and makes class interesting.
he is da worst prof ever in MGTA03&04. He will never care about students. Without any explaination, he just leaves the mark there on SAQ. So do not waste your time to argue with him. You will not win. It is quite unfair.
I'm in Biochem. I took this course purely as an elective and it was AWESOME! This prof is hilarious and very clear about what to study. The textbook is your life- this is where all the questions will come from. Some will come from the lecture notes (like statistics and rankings) but otherwise, the textbook is it! Wish I could take it again!
Chris bovaird is a good guy but his lectures are too elementary. he seems to somehhow drop final marks drastically despite easy exams. Study very hard so that you dont fail the short answers, easily to do so. This is no bird course so dont listen to what people say. This is coming from a 3.7 Gpa student..
nice guy. The course is hard, buit he's friendly
awesome prof...makes lectures interesting!!!! the only class i like going to
He is a good prof overall in explaining his lectures, but his lecture is WAY too easy and elementary, his midterms are not easy, because of the time limit, and his exams is brutally marked, the concepts are fun and awesome, but then the exams are not easy. Study hard , because its no bird course
both terms he was realllly boring. the examples used in class were common sense. Like you need coffee for a coffee shop....Overall the slides said all he did everything in class was very easy but the exams were not at all, and the SA were marked way too hard. i learned more in grade 10 business than from him...OVERALL VERY BORING AND POINTLESS.....
Really good professor! His exams aren't hard, but just because the material is easy doesn't mean the questions will be. study for this class as you would for a "hard" class/don't slack off and you'll do fine.
Such a nice guy, really wants his students to understand management. Great teacher.
A really nice guy but his lectures are BORING. Once in a while he throws in a few hints about the exam but SAQ's on the final/midterm are really hard and random. You have to know your stuff to do well. If you have him just read the textbook thoroughly and you'll do well.
I took his MGTA03 class and found him to be an amazing prof.I'm not sure what happened to his 04 class. He totally changed his teaching style. The majority of what was emphasized and discussed in class wasn't touched on in the exam.Study the textbook inside out
Kind, funny, smart, straightforward.Excellent professor.
Ok class and prof, nothing too interesting. Gives a lot of hints in class. He's too repetative, says the same thing over and over for half an hour.
Just read his slides and read the definitions and you are guarateed a 4.0. Cant get much better that that. Boring but you dont need to go to class so win
He's a very interactive and energetic prof. But he starts off the course very easy and gives a very hard final. The final dropped my mark drastically. Readings are very important but going to his lectures is only useful for the short questions. He goes real slow at the start and rushes through towards the end of the course.
Although he is repetitive, he gives so many examples and drills everything into your head, it's impossible to leave a class confused. You can really survive on lecture notes, no problem. The extra credit online quizes were great, gotta love a grade boost! Although the class could feel really slow sometimes, it's online so you can just pause it :)
He is incredibly helpful and interesting. Always willing to help if you take the initiative. Without a doubt one of the best professors I have ever seen.
Energetic and somewhat helpful prof. His lectures vary - I found some of them interesting and some of them boring. As long as you read and make notes off of the textbook, you're good to go!
God bless him he tries real hard but the stuff he says in class can be shortened to a paragraph a lecture. the text book is very helpful and he will tell you to buy it EVERYDAY. on-line questions are super easy but its $20 for like 7%. His SAQ are surprisingly hard and he tend to bump marks down to keep the average low. Office hours are respected.
Best Prof ever
really liked the course. makes material easier to understand with real life examples.
Lengthy, and talks slowly, but makes everything crystal clear with real life examples, if you are willing to listen. Mentions broad concepts in the textbook, but it is up to the student to really study every nuance of the book, as that is what will be tested on in the midterm and final.
He explains everything slowly and clearly with a few jokes once in a while (he seems to have something against york). It's true that his 2 hour lectures can be easily condensed into one but this way there you are definitely going to understand all the concepts he is explaining. Great prof in my opinion! :)
Midterms are super hard and unfair
Material is interesting and simple. Exams are unnecessarily difficult.
Midterm left most students pressed for time from the long case studies in both the M/C and short answers sections. Professor was probably aware that the majority of students enrolled in the course were not in management and had intentionally made the midterm more difficult as a result...
The midterm was fair but when I went to see my mark, the TA refused to see me because she had separate hours for multiple choice and short answer viewings which wasn't posted anywhere on the blackboard. I tried to talk to her for a few minutes but the receptionist didn't even let me! I emailed the prof about this but he never replied back.
Very nice professor, made a mistake and he fixed it for me. He may not show it but he's well accomplished and you should be lucky to have him
The best
If you want to be entertained and learn at the same time, this guy is the best! Will always be there to help, and deserves all of my respect.
The best teacher in first year! Every friendly and care every student he teaches.
Sweet and clear prof. out of all my first year courses he has been the professor of my favourite class. the intonation in his voice makes me want to listen. great lecturing. hopefully the exam is as straight forward as the class!
Best prof I've had! He thoroughly (and repeatedly) explains concepts that will show up on the midterm and finals. Exams were fair and straightforward.
not recommended
One could easily do well in this class without going to the lectures and just reading the textbook, or possibly just the lecture notes. I didn't have to go to class, but Bovaird is so entertaining and engaging that I wanted to go. He almost always backs up his points with current, relevant examples, that help further solidify one's understanding.
Way to much useless examples during lectures and textbook. examples like "people needs cloth, shoes, desks, tables, phones, houses, food......." this is a waste of time and pointless to be included in the textbook. and he will tell you to buy the textbook almost every class(he wrote it) by the way he makes fun of york and ryerson university a lot
The first time I ever had class with Bovaird, he addressed the class in an incredibly condescending tone explaining that if we didn't address him as PROFESSOR Bovaird in our emails to him, he would simply delete them without reading them. He doesn't make room for students and their different methods of learning and simply won't help you.
boring boring boring. lectures are useless since he just reads off the slides (and posts the slides and slides are copied from textbook, which he wrote..) barely anyone goes to class. weekly review questions.. find someone who does them, have them send you answers haha. midterm worth 37%ish, final was 55%...
The lecture slides contain the exact same info and examples that the textbook does so it gets a bit repetitive. To get an easy A, either watch all the lectures and slides online and save money, or just buy the textbook (don't bother watching the lectures) and study it the week before the midterm and final (both MC and short written response).
He is cool
he's great trust
Professor Bovaird, is a fair lecturer. However he is extremely rude. When asked for a clarification of the syllabus, he responds very angrily. He constantly puts down other schools, which is uncalled for and just instills a false sense of pride. His announcements are curt, and brusque. Even though I got an A in this course, I would recommend him
Very nice prof. with a lot of experiences in many different industries. A wise guy to talk to.
Very misleading prof. In lecture he makes himself seem approachable but when you do go and see him, he's arrogant. When you email him, he responds in a way that will make you feel stupid for asking a question. His content is often not clear, including his MCQ questions. Overall, not a professor I would recommend.
Had Chris for two semesters now, one of my best profs by far.
Condescending prof, easy marks, if you are taking the course as a bird course, it is an easy A, just don't let your ego get the best of you as he constantly talks to the students like they are 12 years old.
I never went to lectures because he tends to go off topic. The textbook will sum up the information. But he will have a few questions regarding "material spoken about in class" but I usually just guess those ones. Make good notes during the semester and you'll be okay.
He is not a great lecturer. His exams are confusing and worded to confuse. His textbook contains multiple spelling errors which does not make sense considering how arrogant and proud he is. He is not a professor I would recommend.
The content and lecture for MGTA02 is amazing and very interesting. However, both the midterm as well as final were confusing. The wording of the questions are confusing and some questions are very lengthy making it hard to answer correctly with the limited time given.
He is not a great lecturer.
I thought this was an A lvl beginner management course, but its far from it! My C lvl biology courses are easier than this course. The exams are purposely marked in great detail to screw your marks up. You would think A lvl courses should have b class average but no! this guy thinks 60 is normal class average for a beginner course
Going to lectures may seem like a waste of time as information presented are the same as lecture slides. Most of class time spent talking about stories related to lectures. Short answer questions may be misleading and requires more thinking to make sure you cover everything they look for. Overall nice prof, very blunt and explain concepts clearly.
His lectures are fun ,he explaine everything very good
Enjoyed his lectures and the midterm exam was extremely easy
this teacher will be your worstest first year teachr you will ever meet. who either answer your email in a rude way or no answers at all.
He thinks his funny. He is rude outside of lecture, He jokes about other university in every other lecture especially York and ryerson (okay that was funny). He did a rant of another post on website during lecture . saying stuff like " I hope the poster fail my class and how the poster is stupid". He got no respect
MGTA01 is a bird course but the prof is extremely rude.
Tough grader and a bit arrogant. But very helpful if you go to his office hours and discuss with him. You will learn a lot from his living philosophy developed through out his amazing career. His exams are not that hard if you have a strong historical and political knowledge background.
If you're interested in business at all he is animated enough and enthusiastic enough to keep a two hour lecture interesting. In my experience he likes to interact with the students in the lecture sometimes to facilitate in teaching a certain concept. Midterm and final are marked pretty strictly but the textbook is enough to study and get an A.
Great professor if you are GENUINE towards LEARNING. I'm a Life Sci major, taking the course to fulfill bread requirement NOT out of interest. However, Prof. Bovaird's lecture style was interesting enough to catch my attention on a subject that I previously took 0 interest in. Kids: you are paying to learn - be RESPECTFUL and be prepared to learn.
I'm a life science student and this was an awesome course. He's interesting to listen to and I enjoyed the lectures. The textbook is mandatory and keep up with the readings but the concepts aren't difficult and he uses lots of examples.
Lectures are weboptioned but based on the book, so not mandatory. Bovaird is kinda funny, but way too slow for my liking. The course is good if you are looking for an elective you don't have to spend too much time on. Material is interesting, but book is not written efficiently. If you keep up every week, you should be fine for a 4.0.
Very approachable outside of classroom. Reading was required but was fun, as he wrote the textbook on his own.
Fairly easy course if you use the textbook and lectures together to study. Midterm and final are fair, marked quite tough though
Rude man and the final short answer was unnecessarily hard. He yells at people yet he looks like the Pringles man.
He is a great teacher, caring and passionate about teacher.
He's honestly not as bad as people portray him on this webbsite. At least for MGTA01, he was able to keep myself and others engaged and entertained. He paraphrases everything from the textbook, so when ur studying, primarily use the textbook and you're sure to get at least an 80%. Midterm and final were fair, and relatively easy, don't slack tho!
easy course, tests are short and straight to the point, just keep up with material (which is easy to understand) and dont slack and you should get an easy A
I'm a good writer and I have never attended his lectures- I have 80+ in the course. It's a straight forward class and through memorization you can easily receive a high mark. The TAs mark the assignments hard which is the only downfall
He is great and hilarious! Will keep you engaged and laughing every lecture. Yes he may be a bit rude at sometimes and thats why people rate him so low. His course is definitely a bird and the easiest at UTSC. His slides are copied from the textbook that he wrote himself. There are no tutorials would def recommend this course!
There are 2 midterms and a final. That's it. No assignments. You do not need to attend a single lecture to get an A. I studied for a couple hours before the second midterm and got a 95. Make some free recall queue cards for the fill in the blank questions and study the different market types and it's a grade 9 level course. That's generous.
Awesome prof, really funny and you can interrupt him at any time, tell us stories as well. The course is really easy, just goes to the lecture and pay attention, very easy to get high marks.
Unrespect to students at all!
don't need to attend lectures since its the same as the textbook. hes nice and caring. exam multiple chocie and fill in the blank are straightforward. short answer a little tough. he won't ever change your mark but he's generally very clear with his questions. easy class. textbook written by him and it makes every concept as simple as possible
Don't go to class just memorize the textbook. He is an amazing prof and will help you any time you need it.
He presents himself to be very approachable and friendly (to an extent, it is true), but at times he can be considerably rude for no obvious reasons. I heard him make racial comments towards ESL students (I have no reason to make this up). He can go from a sweet guy to someone who will scar you for the rest of your life in a second. Be aware.
The course heavily revolves around the readings and the definitions and vocabulary that are highlighted. Chris' lectures are great to attend but they honestly aren't mandatory since it's so textbook-heavy. The midterm was awful (72%) but the final was extremely easy (96%). The workload is extremely light since your mark is only 2 exams.
I only went to 1 lectures and I ended up with a 4.0. All you need to do is memorize key terms of the textbook and look over his slides. His lectures can be very boring as he can spend 20 mins on 1 slide. The only downside was that our grade consisted of a midterm (40%) and final (60%). So if you fail the midterm, you're screwed. basically.
prof does not respect students, worst prof ever
He makes this course difficult compared to MGTA01 (for non business students), this is why the reviews are higher than they should be. The assignments cause marks to drop significantly and were graded too harshly.
Hes really mean. He disses you and is very disrespectful. He will diss other universities and will say that the kids that are mannerless because the enter the other professors quietly and quietly sit down. Hes mannerless himself.
The course is easy but he is proud, mean and very bad at emotion management. Hes sensitive to questions you ask, hell think that youre criticizing him not for doing his job well, he also gets very offended when asked any questions with regards to grades. he hates it when students want to regrade for any reason, which is totally not reasonable.
Wonderful class
Absolute God. You will not be disappointed. The most accurate way to describe his personality is: hockey dad. If you took any sort of business or have the most basic knowledge, you will do fine. Talking to my friends, it seems as if the international students struggle with this course, but the domestic students don't.
Textbook essentially has all the information needed to pass the course. However, he often does put discussions or materials only mentioned in lectures into the exams. 40% midterm and 60% final, make sure you do well for both to get a good grade. Understanding terms and concepts, memorisation and quizlets will help you do well in this bird course.
I'm convinced this course is Bovaird's real-life proof of his business-savvy skills. You literally pay for this course and his textbook (go buy it secondhand) for a nearly free 4.0. Most of it would be understandable by a 4th grader, but you do need to spend 3-5h before the midterm/exam and memorize all definitions and key ideas in the textbook.
The professor's a GOAT. He's awesome
He is so disrespectful and rude. I thought he is nice when attending his online course, however, he says incredibly and extremely mean words to me as I made a small mistake. He made me feel that I am stupid and useless, I even cried for his words. It is the first time in my life I have ever received such mean comments from a teacher and professor.
An easy going and alright guy. But I'm convinced his main priority is to sell textbooks. If you have the textbook you can pass easily without even needing to attend the lectures. He also belittled a questions I asked out of genuine confusion because of the way his slides are made (it looks confusing), left a bad taste in my mouth
Don't bother taking this course if you don't have to. The prof is okay but the TA's are trash. They pick and mark every single detail of the test and cuts off a lot of marks without properly explaining why. The course material overall isn't hard but the tests are just dumb. FYI the average course grade is C
The prof himself is pretty good, delivers lectures in an easy to follow format. He encourages discussions and questions which is nice. He gives many real life examples with course concepts which helps with understanding. The grade is only based on tests, the content is quite easy but the TA's mark hard and questions can be worded tricky sometimes.
I'm very disappointed in this course. At first, I thought the professor was very kind, but then he broke my boundaries again and again. As students, we didn't learn anything about management in his class. Professor Chris Bovaird knows nothing about management. Most of what I know about management comes from another course: marketing. Ridiculous.
Content is simple, especially if you have taken a business course in high-school. However, prof can become extremely disrespectful if you question him or have a complaint and I was left shocked. TA's mark super hard as well and take marks off over the smallest things. You are graded on 3 tests and given very limited time to complete it.
Hes genuinely a really good Professor. It sucks that the classes are online because some people keep on trolling the class every week. He remembered my name and that Im from Iran which shows that he genuinely likes interacting with his students and cares about them. The lectures are fun and the course is not bad as long as you study.
The course is easy because it u read through the textbook and notes you will be fine. Final is brutal and harsh smh but I expected that. However prof sometimes can be really rude and unreasonable, I got some weird emails from him thats disgusting
A cranky, disrespectful, and bad professor. Cusses during class at times and always promotes things that would allow him to earn a profit (his online art shop, his own textbook, etc.) Once scolded a student for being narcissistic when in fact he was just asking a question. I want to say more but the word limit is restricting me. He bad. Don't take.
Takes time out to try and answer everyone's questions to the best of his ability but goes through the topics very slowly and spends too much time answering questions that a lot of material is missed (not on exam). If you have taken a business course in the past probably just reading the textbook is enough it will be more efficient.
This prof is actually incredible rude And has no manners. He takes everything way to personally and lashes at students. We pay for the courses we take and he should be teaching it with his ability but the way he conveys information is rude. If questions are asked, hes not polite to answer it at all. He makes you feel bad for asking questions
He doesnt help when you ask questions and I have been put down and he used mean big words just to make me feel uncomfortable. As a prof they should teach students and make sure they learn the content. Dont make students feel that they cant ask questions!!
Tests durations are way too short for completion. And the report assignment do not have a clear rubric.
this prof doesn't respect students. he gets offended too easily and has some very unprofessional and immature responses. his TAs also mark hard--> you won't get points in the test If your answers don't fit what he wants.
Amazing professor overall, always a great experience attending his lecture. Sometimes tells really good jokes that aren't appreciated enough, if you simply attend the lectures you'll get an 80. And just thoroughly go through the textbook before the exam and with some luck you will get an 90+ for sure. Not sure why people are hating on this guy tbh.
The assessments are easy but they mark pretty hard. Just make sure you read the textbook and take notes in class. Barely got any time to finish the midterms and final and he does that on purpose. Feel like I would have gotten a better grade if I had more time on those because i knew the material but didn't have enough time to type it all in.
He's a pretty good prof, passionate about his topics, and willing to answer questions and enter discussions with students to ensure their understanding. Midterm and final were super easy as long as you study from your textbook (literally all you need, lecs ain't even that important but I suggest showing up still). DETAIL YOUR LONG ANSWERS ON TESTS
marks hard
Rude, disrespectful, insulting
Worst professor I've ever had in my entire university career. SO DISRESPECTFUL.
Just an awful professor who wants to see their students fail. Extremely unhelpful. He also talked about some sensitive stuff in the class that may offend people from certain countries.

The class material is not Hard, but he structured the course so students won't do well. He gave 50 minutes for the midterm and tests but expects super detailed answers. The class average would be much better if he gave us enough time to actually answer the questions. If this class is not mandatory for your program DO NOT take it.
He did not give enough time for exams. I took this course to boost my GPA but ended up doing the worst. The contents and exams are super easy but he does not give enough time to finish it and he is a really tough grader for SA. I did a lot better on my neuro courses than this. Do not recommend his course.
Easiest course you can take at UTSC and Chris is a funny and knowledgeable instructor, what more can you ask for?
A lot of people taking this class can complain that Professor Bovaird is pretty strict but honestly, if you're going into business or management, even if you don't get a good grade in his class, it will definitely inculcate a really good work ethic in you. Course is easy- learn to write fast since he tries to prevent cheating through timed tests.
Absolutely the worst of the worst professor of all time. You can't find another professor who is worse than him. Not kind and respectful at all.
The course was not hard but he is actually rude and insensitive.
