One of my favorite teachers of all time! Chris will show you the best way to pitch your business idea to anyone and will work with you on how to better your skills. One class I strongly suggest taking along side this one is public speaking. You will be glad you did because it's so easy to take your project from his class and use in it.

Chris is an awesome professor. He helps you when you need help and gives great feedback. I would show up to class because the lectures are great and you need to understand the lectures in order to do your group work and your out of class research. Over all it's not a hard class, but you still have to work.

Chris is one of the best professors i took in my time here at Dixie. He is completely dedicated to his students success, not just in the classroom, but in trying to prepare them for success in the business world and in creating their own businesses. He is very knowledgeable and always has interesting lectures that i always enjoyed going to.

I've taken Chris's classes twice now, and i loved both of them. I especially loved this Small Business Management class. It gives the student a real-life look at what its like to be a small business owner and all it entails. Chris does a great job in showing you how to be successful in the future. I suggest taking his classes early and building a relationship with him and the assistant professor Don Watkins. They will offer you the best resources as a business student at Dixie. Its a good idea to come each day for the lectures. Guest speakers come in constantly to talk about this course in practice. Main grading is on presentations.

At the beginning of class, I said Im just exploring my options to find which field I want to major in. Professor Brown did a great job as a teacher. I always left this class with more knowledge on entrepreneurship every time I came to class.

Chris teaching style can be polarizing. Those who are engaged and want to learn get a ton out of his class. Its experiential learning with real world application that involved students really enjoy. The students who dont care, dont get much from the class. He has an approach counter to traditional learning that more teachers should emulate.

The final is a big group project in which you develop a business model/product concept & pitch it in Opportunity Quest. You'll only get as much out of this class as you put in it.

I love taking classes from Chris. He's a great professor to learn business from. I wish he taught more classes. I wish he interviewed the speakers more. It was usually Don that interviewed them but I think Chris would have done great and things may have been better focused because Don jumps around a lot. That can be hard to follow.

I love that Chris allowed for a more personal relationship with the class, making everyone comfortable to share their ideas and not be afraid to take risks. I also love that he related everything to real life and threw in amazing quotes throughout the semester.

For his entrepreneurship class, expect to do a shark tank pitch. It's what most of the class is based off of. Make sure you pick a good group or you'll end up doing all of the class work by yourself. Chris knows what he is talking about and wants you to learn. But, if you don't want to start your own business, may not be the best class for you.

Let's say you're not interested in a business major or are undecided yet. This course, and the speaker series, will blow you away with all the insightful information you can gain out of it. Your mind will be open to learn valuable things you can take as ammunition throughout your pathway in life, and not to mention Chris is the best professor!!

I am hoping to be an investor in the future and hopefully start up my own car dealership. This class is really great. It made me realize that there are great opportunities. Chris is one of those professors who actually care about the students. Him and Don are great people and I will see them again in small business in the spring.

Quite possibly the easiest class Ive ever had (best elective class), you do have to get with a business owner and make a presentation with them but other than that you have no other assignments, tests or quizzes. The book he recommend we read is the best book Ive ever read. There are only 4 assignments the whole semester and I received a 100% .

Chris Brown and Don Watkins are the best professors at Dixie/UtahT hands down. If you are debating on taking the class just do it. MGMT 2600,2640, and 2990R are all amazing. The classes will not only track you to start and run a business that doesn't become a ball and chain, but they stress work-life balance and working on other areas of your life.
