The class is pretty easy. He'll let you know when you're going to have a quiz and what will be covered on the tests. He gives you a chance to do extra credit. AND before each test he has a study session to go over information to make sure you know everything that could be on the test. Great class!

Excellent professor, he is incredibly smart. Loved attending class each time. Stay on top of your work though because everything is due by end of semester, no weekly due dates. Grades mainly come from modules and final exam is a big project.

Awesome professor! Tests were just like the lectures, if you skip often you'll miss out on key information. Dr. Craun is funny and makes history something fun to learn about.

I took Dr. Craun for Mummies to Mongols and had no issues. I can say that you do write a lot of papers, however, the questions are simple. You have weekly modules that include a paper and a quiz. Attendance isn't mandatory however, I would go because you go over a lot. Be sure and take good notes.

He doesn't take attendance, but if you can make it to class, you should. If you miss even one day, you'll be missing at least 3 pgs of notes. His lectures are all from his head, and he tends to ramble sometimes, making the order of events confusing. He gives a ton of bonus points, though, so as long as you study with some classmates, you'll be fine

Professor Chris Craun's class was hit or miss for me. He follows the syllabus, and if you miss class, it's best to get notes from classmates since he won't go over it again. His lectures depend on his notes and memory, so detailed notes and research are important. He has high expectations for essays and projects. ❤️

Historian's Craft was the course I took with Dr. Craun. I thought the course was very informative. It was more of self-guided class since the whole class was centered around conducting your own research for you final paper. He'll give you mini assignments to bump your grade as well as extra credit for participating. Very awesome professor!

Professor Craun is absolutely amazing. The goal of this class is to be confused, so if you are confused, you're alright. There is a LOT of research, but Professor Craun provides great feedback on your sources, and is very helpful when you ask questions. He doesn't really remind you when something is due though, so it is kind of up to you to check.
