This guy is a piece of work. I didn't understand something and let him know that and he said to me "Well it's important.", and he walked away! I couldn't believe it. I would not recommend him if you need to learn something from the class!
Mr.Frazier is a great instructor many will have a bad experience no matter if its your best instructor but if you give him a chance to explain he can be a helping hand.
MR Frazier is a awful teacher. He is very unhelpful and spends too much time trying to relate math to the drama in his own personal life and is constantly reminding us how unworthy we are compared to him. I learned nothing from him. Some teacher!
Good teacher. If you are confused just ask him questions and he will answer them. Pay attention and you WILL get his lectures. Tests are all based on his lectures. If you want to learn something, take him.
Mr. Frazier talks to much and doesn't teach very well, and he is not funny. He talks about his life to much than trying to help his students pass the exam. I think PUENTE shouldn't have him as a teacher.
This teacher is great! All the people giving him bad reviews are WRONG. I actually took two of his clsses because I liked his teaching style and got an A on both of them. This techer was helpful and went out of his way to make sure his students did well. Make sure that he knows you are trying hard.
Mr Frazier is a talented professor with a strange sense of humor. Although he is a math teacher, he is enlightened in other fields. A true american and patriot of american studies.
some lectures are in correlation with his life and mathematic problems. he can get off topic and his test get harder and harder. He is helpful with questions, but half the class is left confused.
very helpful. always taking his time to make things clear. test are not very hard but do test your knowledge
Is an awful teacher awful awful awful. Lessons are rarely explained thouroughly and is not extremely helpful when one does not understand the topic being talked about. i suggest that you do not take him for anything!
this teacher is absolutely horrible! he picks favorites and just ignores the rest!! he judges you based on appearence and not who you are! teachers are not supossed to talk about their personal life and that is all he does! he is the worst teacher i have ever had!!!!!!
HE'S A GOOD TEACHER. JUST HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HIS WEIRD WAYS OF GIVING LECTURE. I JUST HOPE I PASS THIS CLASS.
HE SUCKS!!!! he can't teach and he tells you to write out every step and then a day later says that you dont have to. he thinks the whole class is advanced and theyre not. Plus he asked me why I like black guys over white guys, thats none of his business!!! plus he tells his life story :(
He is an OK teacher. He is very helpful, but when it comes to explaining the lecture, he is not good. He is definately not clear to explain, and it is very hard to fallow his explanations. If you are the kind of student that needs a lot of help in Math I would not recommend him, but if you can study by your self and understand, you can take his cla
Frazier is a good teacher. He reviews alot of the material to make sure that you study the right thing for the midterms. He is interested in helping the students. I will definitely take the next class with him.

I took his class for about a week and had to drop it because he doesn't explain squat. He gets to the classroom and solves the problems as if you already knew everything. Don't take it.
Mr. Frazier is unclear, inept and uncaring. In fact he has a rather vicious cruel streak. If you do not already know Algebra-do not take his class. He has no interest in teaching. His only interest is in posturing and acting superior. He will lead you to believe you are doing fine and should continue the class-then he will flunk you.
The WORST professor EVER !!! Bad teaching skills, does not lecture, yaps on-and-on about non-realted topics. Haven't learned one thing since class started. Says he can pass or not pass you b'cause of how good or bad you do on some stupid part of a midterm, regardless how well you do in the class. Do not take him. I have no idea how he got this job.
I recomend to every one not to take it with him. He is so tricky. he seems helpful but he is not at all. Somebody must have done him a favor to have this job. I didnt learn anything in his class. If Jesus Christ were there to take this class, he would be surprise by what this professor teaches. The professor is so unfair and he isnt professional
I highly recommend this teacher...he is such a great help...I passed the class with an A...thought it was going to be hard but he helps you a lot...you really do need the book though and he does leave hw every day...and quizzes are easy and he lets you have a sheet of notes and then you have 2 take home quizzes...great class..
He is not interested in teaching or helping you to learn. He cares very little about the students, he rarely prepares the class and forget about asking for help outside of class. This guy is way to busy to help or to do a good job at teaching. Why does he teach? Watchout!
I took him at wintersession. I would say his tests were fair. All in all, I thought he did a good job...
A grouch. He seems to have little or no interest in teaching. It is surprising that he works as a teacher. He could be much better if he care about his job. Too cynic and sarcastic to be effective. On the other hand, an easy B if you suck up!
I also took him for math13. I hadn't taken a math class in about 4.5 years before that. The class prepared me very well for math21 (precalculus), which he is also teaching. He doesn't just give out a bunch of numbers and equations, he applies math to the real world and emphasizes important math concepts.
chris is one of the best instructors ive ever had. love his sarcasm, hes always a pretty good humored person, and will help you out if you are willing to ask him. if you stay on top of the work, do your homework and pay attention this will be an easy grade. if you are taking math... take frazier, hes the best!
Teacher is a bit all over the place. Hard to follow. I had to drop class.
Not a good choice since he does not prepare classes well.He doesn't even read the textbook or his old notes before class.Tries to get away with jokes and lots of talk but he does not succeed. He could be so much better if he would care about his job and not be so cynic about this college. Now Im attending West Valley.Time and driving are worth it!!
This class is for elementary education majors makes us explain in a creative way math concepts for children. Because this subject was not as structured as other math courses, I freaked out at first but eventually got used to it. The h.w. is fun. Mr. Frazier is a great teacher and I feel I have a steady foundation for future courses in my major.
I've heard nothing but bad things about this guy. Everyone I talk to does not pass Stats the first time. If you need to take stats, take SIOSHANSI. She's the BEST! I'm not a math person, but got an A in her class. Passed the 1st time. Don't take this guy, take Sioshansi.
He's an understanding guy and lenient as well, but be prepared to learn from the book. Gives a lot of mathematical background as well as applications to the real world during class which keeps things interesting. I'd take him again.
Mr. Frazier is an awesome teacher. alot of work but if you do it all you will get an A easily. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this teacher if you arent a slacker.
This is a hard class however Frazier is helpfull. He has regular office hours but expect a wait. He accepts late work just don't get behind. I would recomend this class.
worst class ever. I skip attending to class regularly since he doesnt prepare anything before class, doesnt teach at all, is not helpful for answering questions (spent 1/2 hr solvin 1 EASY question n left with "Does any of u know?")???
Easy teacher! Come if you dont wanna learn. He doesnt care if u'r there or not, he tells his life and jokes a lot. He said, "I assign these HW becuz I know how to do it, others I dont." Well, the teacher SUPPOSE to know how to solve every single problems in the text, hello! 3 of my friends dropped it, I dropped it, and several people dropped, HUH!!
I dont recommend this teacher if youre a slacker. BUT if youre determined then go for it. I take his class everyday and if you are the type thats sluggish then of course you will complain. He doesnt give much hw and his tests are okay. It is kind of fast pace but if you use the tutorial center and study then you will have no problem. He's COOL.
I took his stats class in intersession. It is alot of work but if you put the time in you will see the results. He is a great professor, loves the subject.
he hates to be in the classroom unfortunately, he approaches his job as a big hassle. Bottom line, he does not care as much as he should for a math professor. Watch out!
A grouch...stay away. He has no time for you.
this teacher is the worst teacher i've EVER had.He came in the classroom on the first day and said hes going to "diagnose all of our learning disabilities."he doesnt explain anything and just exspects you to know how he got the result.half the class dropped, he said himself only 5 people were passing halfway through the semester.DONT TAKE HIS CLASS
I had to work 3 to 4 hours a day, on each section of homework. He is a tough grader, he doesn't give you points unless the work and answer are right. A grade of C in his class, is an A in any other class. So if you like to suffer and watch your gpa go down the tubes.. Go ahead and take his class.
He is a nice guy, but he is not good at what he does. He doesn't know how to explain things so that they make sense to anyone other then himself. I had to teach myself the whole semester and anytime I asked for help he just confused me. I don't recommend him if you actually need instruction.
Statistics is not an easy class. The workload is not light. However, Mr. Frazier loves what he does and he's very good at it. He explains things so that even the not-bright students understand. Always attend class or it is guaranteed you will fall behind. Do the projects! And do your hw and you will be fine.
Excellent, passionate teacher. Clear goals, tries to get the class to enjoy math again. Very HIGHLY recommended for math 052. Excellent blend of teaching skill and student interest. Sparked conversations, and taught very thought provoking formulas and methods of teaching. A+ all around.
Best math teacher at City. All the others are weirdos who are unclear and unhelpful. If you don't like him, you were probably one of the obnoxious, lazy people talking throughout class. DROP THE CLASS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE THERE!
I took his course during intersession and I totally reccomend it if you haven't yet completed your required math units. He's really easy-going, and takes an interest in all his students. Attendance is vital, but if you show him that you care and really try in his class, he's most likely to pass you. Doing the assignments will get you through.
He is a good teacher. Really cares about his students. If you are having trouble talk to him. Do your hw and projects you get a chance to redo it if dont get full credit so just do it. If you need a text book i have one. [email protected]
He really pays attention to the cute girls in the class. He is not a good teacher. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, it is a really hard class.
Mr. Fraizer was a great teacher! he really "dumbed" it down for the people who aren't so crazy about Stats. he has good convos during class and if you show up everyday you will learn that when he begins to write on the board then start to listen to what he is saying. really enjoyed going to class and just listening to him teach the course
He is the worst teacher. Don't take his class. Don't believe whatever he said. he is the lie one
Scattered, disorganized, unprepared he should not be teaching any kind of mathematics.Furthermore,he favors cute girls, has problems with civil rights and uses race to put you down.Incredible he is allow to be in a classroom. Not a role model by any meausre. City College has not only the worst teachers but the worst classroom enviromnent.Try DeAnza.
He has issues. spends too much of class time discussing his personal life. You feel bad but one needs to learn the material. The only highlight is that Some projects are interesting.
Intelligent and a good listener.
Does not have a clue about the subject. You feel sorry for his life because that is all he talks about. A sad and useless experience. Take some one else.
you can do better with some one else. Perhaps he was a good teacher sometime ago. Now he seems bitter, resentful and spaced out, he is not in the classroom, not the best role model. Exams were sort of easy and projects needed better explanations. Double check what he wants you to do and what to study for exams. He is better in office hours.
Most of the comments say it already. When he is not complaining about his personal life he can only use race and sex as examples. Total waste of lecture time. Might as well be a hybrid course. Worst instructor I've ever had.
I don't know what others are talking about, but Prof. Frazier is one of the best I've had! He knows his material, he presents it well, and he is extremely helpful outside of class. Granted, Calc II is a tough subject as it is, he lets you know what he expects of you. Nightly homework, few quizzes and tests, and, in my opinion, a subject he loves.
Takes forever to return graded exams and assignments. He does not do what he says.Poorly organized lectures for the most part.
Great teacher! Let me add into a full class after the first week. He is very understanding and gives you a general idea of what will be on the tests, he also curves the grades. He is a very competent professor who realizes student's potentials. If you put a show of effort and time to study, he will not fail you. His funny character is also a plus.
He relates the material to easily understandable and relate able examples such as race and gender distribution. His class is fun since he does make most of it relevant to daily life and explains what exactly what you're going to be doing. He's a quality teacher as long as you're a quality student.
I took his elementary statistics class, it was not an easy class, I did not receive perfect test scores, but I put a lot of effort and time into studying and learning the material. I appreciated the fact that he was available to help me outside of class, and I am grateful he gave me an A. I would recommend this instructor.
He rambles. A LOT. He rarely uses the text book but i recommend buying it because he won't make any sense. One good thing: group finals.
One of the best math Instructors ever. TAKE HIM 4 SURE. I'm not a math person AT ALL, this semester he really made statistic fun and relatable to real life scenarios. Teaches well, very understanding, and will walk with you. He is extremely flexible, and will give you the grade if he sees that you've been trying. He is solid
One of the worst teacher in san jose city College. He used class time talking about none relate matter . Super lagging on returning grade. He doesn't give a damm about student performance. Very sarcastic person . Avoid avoid avoid.
Mr. Frazier is definitely a nice teacher, however his lectures can be a bit confusing and he can be vague when you ask him about class matters. He wants students to get a good grade so he curves and allows group tests, however you have to do a lot of studying on your own. Attendance was not mandatory but going to class was fun because of his humor
Super hard to focus because he rambles on about everyday life and does not teach from book. Homework is done online and tests are open book - sometimes. He's very awkward and he isn't clear or precise on demonstrating. Definitely wouldn't recommend him unless you learn math well on your own.
Frazier is a very nice guy, but he was not the best teacher. He was late every day, and spent way too much class time talking about irrelevant crap, math-related and otherwise. He spend most of the class going through proofs and deriving equations, as opposed to showing how to solve problems. If I was not a math superstar, I would have struggled.
He is the worse teacher I've ever had. He is not organized, describes his teaching as having a "spiral" style. Which means he'll be scatter brained the whole semester. His lectures are useless and the final exam wasn't even created by him but by the department head. He neglects the curriculum but you will know his life story. DO NOT TAKE HIM.
Frasier's Statistics class is no joke. It is a challenging class that you cannot sleep through. I came to class with a rich, and deep hatred of all mathematics, but Chris Frasier really lit a fire under me, getting me to embrace the subject.
Pay attention during lecute and watch online videos on the subject (KHAN ACADEMY AND YOUTUBE HELP.) Also ask for a STUDY GUIDE. He lets you bring note cards for the tests so use that to your advantage. Ask for help and he will give it to you. My only complaint would be the lectures aren't always organized.
Professor Frazier is a certain type of professor that really is not for everyone. He probably spends about as much time talking about other stuff than he does the math. I personally like this. He often goes on tangents about how what we're learning is used in the real world and how it relates to students majors. Not for everyone, but I like it.
Mr. Chris give out homework everyweek and if you did 80% of the home work, he gives you full 100% grade and if you do 100% Of your homework, 20% of points are added as extra credits. He gives group tests and let you use notes for tests. Easy going teacher but it hard to understand his lectures so you really has to do self-study outside of class.
Best teacher for math 71 and any other math class.
He love to rant off on the first chance he can about whatever he is going through during his life but will not explain lectures clearly. He say's his tactic is like that so you improve and learn on your own so your math becomes stronger therefore excelling. Be ready to self teach yourself the subject, his lectures don't help and neither does he.
Usually talks about something other than math. He would give a study guide before the test and when the time came for the test, nothing form the study guide was on it. If you want to pass the class you have to teach yourself.
If you're already good at math then he's the professor for you, but if you're the kind of person who needs more of a structured math class like me, then run! He teaches under the assumption that you already know the material. He does care about his students, but for me that wasn't the concern. I needed him to teach me not rant about random things.
One of the best professors I've ever had in my life I really appreciate his class, I recommend taking him I wish if he can teach calc 2 so I'll definitely go for him
He's not a bad person or instructor, but his tests are completely different from the WebAssign HW. No straight-forward test questions, every single one is the "hard" question; can't predict the Q's. No study guides and "test hints" are useless. His excuse for everything is "this is a 5 unit class and the tax payers paid for you to go to school".
He's always rambling! When he does lecture about the actual material, it's never clear or concise. The homework on Web Assign never correspondeds to his lectures or his tests. He does hand out practice tests for each Ch, which never resembles hw or lecture either, but memorize them. They will be similar to the tests. If u can, Avoid his class!!!
The people giving him good feedback are A students for the most part. What people say is true. Nice guy, interesting, has some good and also very weird conversations but if you need someone to TEACH you STATS so that you actually understand what's going on skip this guy. Take Rahim or anyone else. DONT take this guy if you struggle w/ math/school.
Nice and fantastic professor !!
Took a compressed online class for calculus 1. Bad idea. Professor was inaccessible, it was unclear which assignments were graded (and which showed up on Canvas just because). In tests, partial credit seemed to be given sporadically (too generous in some places, weirdly skimpy in others). WebAssign and the textbook were my teachers.
The class was through Webassign, the reading seems to be confusing at times, but dont let that discourage you. There are comprehensive videos on the homework and activities that will make sure youve understood how to solve them. A nice teacher, gives 'test hints' at the end of each reading section. Limited feedback. Do the practice exams !!!
Very great Proffesor. At first it was hard because I didn't have the book but the homework on Webassign helps out for class work. He grades test quickly. Also have a calculator!
He was very straight forward with what he expected out of his students. He seems very passionate about teaching and means to inspire his students. You have to check in on both web assign and canvas but everything is very clear as far as what is expected.
This was Hybrid online class. Which means I taught myself. That's fine. It was online. What wasn't fine is that he returned graded material extremely late. Like a month or more later. Sample tests given didn't always reflect actual test. By the time it was final exam, I only had one of 3 tests graded. Only pro: he was a fair grader.
Worst math teacher ever. He rambles most of the class about non precalc subjects, then proceeds to pick a random problem from the book from a random chapter & does it on the board for the rest of the class. Also when he does the problem he skips steps. I'm sorry but that's not how people learn math. He's not a bad guy, he's just a horrible teacher
Professor Frazier is a really nice guy as well as a professor. I first took him into the beginning of the pandemic and then thats when everything went online. In person he was very helpful and actually cared about his students, he motivated us to pass and made the course as peace with us because he knew we were stress. His work ethic is very good.
As someone who doesn't like math, I really liked the program he used for our online class. If I didn't understand a question he clarified clearly and cared about the students understanding the subject. I got an F on the final but still managed to get an A! Do the homework and show you're trying your best and you'll at least get a C.
I'm sorry. He's a horrible professor. He just sits in class, talks about math, and then he talks about life. He reminds me of Joe Biden when he forgets things.
If you enjoy Mathematics, you will enjoy his class. Down to earth and smart. A genius in his own way. I completed my homework with a 100% and 98% for all quizzes. My final was a breeze only because I came prepared. Enjoy yourself and absorb the knowledge.
Started 01/30/20 once covid hit we moved online. He did admirably given the circumstances. His class material was on point, his method of teaching was paced and he made every effort to give individual attention to us. If you had problems learning he broke it down in a way that you could learn it better and have it stick. Amazing Professor!
Tough class, but engaging lectures. The textbook and WebAssign homework don't always align, so use Unstuck AI and past practice tests to prep. Overall, a challenging but rewarding course if you stay on top of it.
This Professor would leave you more confused than you started out as. His lecture was just as lost as his mind since he would stop mid lecture to go on a different tangent. It is a miracle I passed that class. If you take this class I highly recommend creating a discord with your fellow classmates and going to the tutoring center.
Hard to understand the concepts when he constantly rambles off-topic. He is not clear when actually discussing the things we need to know. If you have a hard time focusing on lectures, you are screwed for his class. He's unprepared and off topic a lot. I do not recommend this class for anyone. I had to teach myself most of the material.
Cares about his students passing the class. As long as you communicate with him and complete the homework on time you should pass. The support class is highly recommend for Stats
