This guy si really easy. i went only for the tests and got all A's. He puts his notes online so you don't really have to go. His lectures mainly consist of class discussion. Everyone talks about their lives which is a quite boring. Easy A
Interesting course which examines the sociological underpinnings of race relations. Girard offers a broad overview of these concepts, focusing in on case studies. Tests are multiple choice and essay. It can be difficult if you don't study, but otherwise there's no problem.
Super interesting professor and classs. He is only easy in that he wants you to learn as much as you want. Lazy butts get an easy A; interested students get to learn.
This guy's lectures are so god damn boring. Don't go to class, get notes online, read book, and show up for tests. Easy class. 2 Quizzes,5 1-page papers, 2 tests W/ one essay
Very good at explaining things, he's a nice guy and will work with you if you're responsible and honest to him. Wants students to pass, his questions are challenging sometimes but nothing impossible. His lectures can get monotonous though..
REALLY GOOD TEACHER... EXPLAINS VERY WELL... IF U READ ALL THE CHAPTERS U WILL DO FINE... THE ONLY THING IS THAT THE CLASS IS A BIT BORING, but he really cares about you learning the material so he explains everything very well...
Great professor.....his lectures can be borring at times, but he loves to teach and is very interested in his field of work.....he's also good on giving you extra credit opportunites through the semester....very helpful.
He's a good teacher, but can get boring sometimes with his lectures. He is very helpful however, and also likes people to participate in discussions. Although you really don't have to show up to class (except for the tests and quizzes), I recommend going anyway. The tests/quizzes are very easy. You can also do a presentation for extra credit.
When people skip his class the Quizes get harder and the class is boring. As a Professor, he is OK to take, just do the work.
This class is so easy. You don't even have to show up for class unless it is test/quiz day. All you need to do is read the chapters and do the quizzes on mysoclab and i promise you that you will pass with an A or B. Oh yea if you study from the notes you will get a D or C on the test/quiz so read the chapters and they are usually good. GOOD LUCK! !
I was looking forward to this class but now i hate it. i have done B average on all my quizzez and midterm just by reading his outlines. thats good, but the overall feel of the professor does not fancy me
class is interesting material but the book is boring and the professor makes the class boring too. he is a jerk in reality, but the class is pretty easy, the tests are hard and you HAVE to read or else you wont do good.
This man is always smiling, whenever the class tells him that they did not do the reading he assigned he just says "well thank you for being honest" other then that the classes are boring but he will always let you out 15-20 min early. Do not take if you want to learn anything!!!
Professor is nice but class is really boring! His lectures are long and they drag on forever! He is really into what he teaches though, and is respectful to everyone! If you study the notes, do the 5 one page essays due at the end of the semester and STUDY STUDY STUDY for the final you should get an A or B!
He's a nice guy. His classes will be very interesting to Anthro/Sociology majors/minors. He's very knowledgable. You'll leave the class knowing much more about race and ethnicity in our society. Pay attention in class, skim the book and STUDY HIS NOTES and you'll do great in his class.
His class is very interesting. He's a really nice guy. He posts all his notes on the internet and if you read them and skim the book (also very interesting) you'll do great.
He doesn't take roll which is good, and the material is relatively simple, but this guy is so boring that waiting in line at the dmv can be more exciting, also, this teacher is one of the jerks who waits until the last possible moment to post your final grade for the class. And will someone please buy this man pants that reach his ankles?
This class is SO EASY. All you have to do is study the notes that he posts online from his lectures and do the assignments and you're fine. HE EVEN OFFERS EXTRA CREDIT. There is no possible way you can't pass this class with a B or higher! This teacher obviously loves to teach and genuinely cares about the students' progress. Always willing to help
nice guy, tries to be funny...very helpful and understanding. All you have to do is pay attention in class and do your work.
Class is very easy and Prof. Girard is very nice. He values everyones opinion and never tells you that you're wrong. He oFfers alot of extra credit. You don't even have to go to class becuase he never takes roll. Tests and quizzes are simple. I never studied for them and hardly went to class and passed with a B.
He is extremely nice, but if you can't shut your mouth at times, he will let you know it. The class is really easy, and it is true that you don't even have to attend class to pass. He only gives 3 quizzes, midterm, and a final, and they are really easy. You have to read the chapters to pass tests. Gives many chances for extra credit.
REALLY nice. Doesn't take attendance but you should go to do better on tests and quizzes. Offers extra credit for researching things online (takes 5 min), optional oral presentation (quiz grade), or 10 page research paper (test grade). I think its 2 quizzes and 2 tests. I can see why ppl think hes boring, but listen and its interesting, youll also
I had this porfessor for sociology as well and it was very interesting. he gives 2 quizes, a midterm, and a final. You can do two presentations and get an automatic A so he is very helpful and willing to give extra credit although few need it.
nice dude but, too bland & monotone.
very easy class! if you go to class and print out the notes, you dont really need to buy the book. the exams can be a little tricky which is why you should go to class. he repeats everything 10 billion times. also offers a lot of extra credit
Awesome teacher. He has all the notes to the class online, so you don't have to write so much during class (although I suggest you go to class to understand the notes more clearly). The tests are all multiple choice. 2 are quizzes and 2 exams. The quizzes are T/F and the exams are ABCD. Quizzes 16 ?s and Exams are 32. Read the chapters. Easy class.
worse class ever! he is extremely boring...if theres a better teacher out there take them instead of him...he does give a lot of extra credit but his lectures are DULL!! he puts u to sleep. if u take them read the book and online notes...dont bother going to class its useless! the book is more entertaining then him!!!
Dullest professor I have ever met, and I'm majoring in this field. Came to class late since at the end is when he gives the hints for what will be on quizzes and exams. Be prepared to fall asleep if you actually go. His notes are hard to understand unless you hear the lectures.
Print the notes and go to class. It's boring but you'll have no clue what the notes say if you don't attend the lectures. He has this really incomprehensible shorthand he uses in them. Very dull class, but he does offer a lot of easy extra credit. 25 points for googling something up and showing him the answer.
very nice and polite teacher!! im not good at attending class and i promise you i showed up to class max of four times out of the whole semester and got an A. i only showed up on test days. just read the book. thats it. the book is interesting and will keep you entertained. all i did was read the chapters that would be on the test the night before.
Ok i took this class Summer B. He is soooooo boring. Yes all of his notes are online, but you have to go to class to do good on the quizes. And hes not helpful at all! Hes kind of a creep-ster too! I wouldnt take him again!
A bit fruity. Almost impossible to pay attention when he lectures. It's pretty boring. The textbook is twice as interesting as he is. His 2 quizzes are all True & False and his 2 tests (midterm and final) are short with one essay question for the final. He is very strange yet not interesting at all. I'd recommend taking another class
he is a good teacher, his classes sometimes get boring but he tries. The subject itself and the book are very interesting though.
first off the guy is very condescending and unhelpful over email. the quizzes were easy but the test were pretty hard. each test consist of 6 chapters that are about 30 boring pages each and they take a while to read and understand, you cant "just read them the night before".
his first quiz & midterm were wayy harder than his second quiz & final. the second quiz has got to be the easiest of the 4 exams... the essay on the final is easy b/c it's already given. you just gotta memorize what you wrote & you'll be fine. this class is ok. never went to class, never read, never studied & received a B!
This man is very difficult to work with. Extra credit is a huge pain, and totally not worth it. I didnt read the book, and got a B, so dont buy it.
Professor is very boring and uninteresting. I have never listened to any lecture after the first class and I am passing all of the tests and quizzes by reading the book and reviewing his class notes. 2 quizzes are 16 ques, T or F, and 2 tests, 30 ques mult choice. He doesn't seem to know anything outside of whats in the book, so don't bother asking
This guy is pretty easy if you do three things: 1. Memorize his notes because the quizzes and tests come directly from there. 2. Skim the book. I'll tell you the truth...its hardly used but he does ask some questions from it. Very few though. 3. Take advantage of his extra credits. He'll offer and you'll take it.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. You will regret it.
Narrow-minded. It's a controversial subject which is open to much interpretation and is highly opinion-related, but if you ask anything that he doesn't agree with, he will either tell you to look it up, change the subject, or ignore the question. Don't buy the book. He says it's important, but it really isn't.
Took him for both ANT of race/ethn and intro soc. I got an A and A-, respectively. Very easy classes and can be interesting at times. He doesn't test you on opinions, just facts. Tests are mostly from lecture and he posts his notes online. For soc read the parts of the book coinciding with lecture. for ant, it's 98% lecture notes. Few q's on book.
he puts notes online so that you just listen to him in class instead of writing down stuff. everything he says is important since in the final you write a paper with facts so you can use the stuff you heard in class. otherwise, he hints as to whats on the midterm and quizzes. both are easy as pie since the information sticks.
Really great. Midterm/final: multiple choice & NOT EASY. 2 true/false quizzes. He reviewed & gave little hints on what to study, but it is pretty necessary to go to class. 3 ops. for ex. credit (max 2 5-minute presentations and optional 10-pg paper, each worth one test). I did 2 presentations and barely got an A. Not too easy, but I learned a lot.
Girard is the MAN! granted, I'm a little angry because he gave me a B. But his classes are cool, real nice guy, knows his stuff, and is fun to listen to. DO NOT buy the textbook. Anybody that got a bad grade in this class is just plain lazy. It is not that hard, but you gotta learn the subject, to a degree. Me and many others enjoyed his class.
Extremely monotonous and arrogant. Thinks he knows it all and any idea that contradicts his is completely WRONG. Narrow minded and cynical. Helps none of his students, does not realize that life happens and not everyone is a robot. Never take this class he should be fired. And dont buy the textbook, its useless
A lot of people seem to think he's boring but he definitely tries 110% to make the class interesting. He can be funny, and basically teaches the textbook which isn't at all boring. Attendance isn't even mandatory and he seems like an overall nice guy. His notes are unclear if you don't do the reading which you need for the exams anyway. Recommended
His class is not that hard, but the midterm and final, specially the midterm was a bit challenging.
His class is not that hard, but the midterm and final, specially the midterm was a bit challenging. But overall he is very helpful!
Took this class online. Assigned book was very boring but lectures provided were interesting. 2 tests, 2 quizzes, a five page paper, and extra credit. Study for the exams beforehand or you will regret it! As for the teacher, very nice and very helpful. Probably one of the most considerate teachers I've had.
The class is relaxed, but not super easy. there are now inclass quizzes every week and they are pertaining ONLY to things he has said in previous lectures. If you take notes and outline the book you can pass. oh and he DOES NOT BELIEVE IN REVIEW. he thinks its a waste, so stay on top of your material!
He teaches from the book, and I found the book very interesting and easy to read. Tests/quizzes can be a bit tricky, but they're passable if you prepare well for them. He gives E.C. opportunities and does his best to keep class interested. I'd recommend him.
very considerate. a teacher who genuinely cares. Tests are extremely tricky. He gives surprise questions almost every day. You really need to attend lectures to do well on those. No exceptions on them. So, try to come to class as much as possible. He gives extra credit but you have to ask him about it way in advance. It will make the difference
Professor is a little strange but funny. He's fair and very nice. The tests and quizzes are a little tricky and his grading scale is confusing. He made the class interesting and answered every email; very important for an online course.
VERY EASY OUTGOING AND CLEAR PROFESSOR. HE IS VERY HELPFUL AND THE TEXT BOOK IS NOT REEEALLY NEEDED. BUT WILL HELP. HIS NOTES ARE A LITTLE UNCLEAR BUT HE LECTURES THEM IN CLASS AND SO AS LONG AS YOU GO TO CLASS YOU WONT NEED THE BOOK
Dr. Girard cares about his students. His lectures aren't mandatory, but you'll have to attend in order to answer his surprise questions. His tests are tricky and his lectures tend to be monotone and redundant. The book is far more interesting than the lectures. If you read the book during the class period, you'll be fine and entertained.
Attendance is not mandatory but he has a surprise quizzes, so you should attend his class. If you attend class and you study, you will do good, this is not for people who are just looking for a super easy class for a gpa booster but it's not super hard. There are extra credit opportunities, so it's kinda hard to fail if you study and stuff.
Prof. Girard is THE BEST!...He so respectful...Attendance is not mandatory but attending class is helpful cause he gives EASY surprise quizzes...He so helpful and easy to talk to....Definitely would recommend him!!!
took this class online and it was a nightmare. I am a junior with a 4.0 until this class. His test questions are confusing but he doesn't give assignments besides reading, watching lectures and one paper which is basically the essay for the final exam. two quizzes and two exams. If your looking for an A, pass on this class unless you are an expert
Proffesor Girard is great, the material is very interesting. The classes were a bit boring but attending them gave you a bit extra points due to his surprise questions. Over all read the book and read his notes online to get an A.
Funny teacher, actually cares and gives you chances to pull your grade up. The lectures can be boring but thats due to some of the topics. Overall cool class.
Attendance is actually kind of mandatory because he always does quizzes with the iclickers. He is very friendly and knows what he's talking about. he is a little monotone but with his occasional jokes it is easier to pay attention. the tests are very easy. i recommend this course
Took his class marriage and the family for an easy a...lectures are extremely boring..his voice puts you to sleep. There are 2 quizes and 2 exams that are kind of difficult. Makes you go to class because he gives you suprise quiz questions which are easy at the end of every class day. An easy A if youre good at memorization
I read previous ratings and maybe the fact that it was online changed things. This guy was the best. He gives you the answers to the exams, and basically walks you through essay portion of final exam. No mandatory meetings. Extra credit available. Couldn't ask for more for an online course.
He is the worst! The rudest teacher I have EVER encountered EVER!Very disrespectful, always have smart rude comments. You have to go to EVERY class b/c he uses clicker!!And you have to pay attention b/c he GRADES THE CLICKER!Honestly, the class is ok.If you get good grades,do the work/xtra credit, youll get an A.However, his remarks WILL piss you off
Prof. Girard is very knowledgeable in his field. Very helpful to the students and responds to all concerns and questions very promptly. He offers extra credit. Would highly recommend.
Took this class online, his lectures are very informative, I didn't open the book once, just viewed his videos. He gives a good amount of extra credit and walks you through getting a good grade on the final essay.
TERRIBLE! dont take, quiz questions every class worth 25% of grade, dont take him! extracredit is a 10 page paper and "youre gana wana do it after you take the midterm" <- his words, dont take it, ruined my desire for taking this class
Swell guy, he makes this class interesting with his quarky jokes and mannerisms. The material is actually intriguing. quizzes and test, like any class, require you to read a decent amount. Book is not really useful at all. Recommend this class!
hes really nice and gives you some opportunity for extra credit, you must show up to class. hes kinda geeky and nice, but he looks like he has some anger issues that hes working on, not to the studesnts but to the TAs.. easy A id take him again
He's a nice person, tries to give you as much extra credit as possible. He really wants you to pass. He does have clicker questions at the beginning and ending of class so attendance is mandatory, if you miss them they do bring your grade down. The book is not really necessary, if you study his notes & write down the clicker questions you're fine.
Professor Girard is a great professor! So passionate about this subject and he is always willing to help out. He is has iclicker questions everyday which gets extremely annoying. I rarely went to class and it didn't bring my grade to low. He emails weekly personal progress reports which is a +++! Didn't need the book just study lecture n notes!
Extremely passionate about the lecture. Clicker questions at the start and/or end of the class makes attendance mandatory. No trick questions, medium textbook usage but a few qs may come up. When I say don't skip, I mean skip if you really want to fail. 25% of grade is your ability to show up and answer a few easy questions. Weekly grades is a +.
Class absolutely mandatory, because he asks iClicker questions every class (they are like participation points.)There are 2 quizzes, 2 exams, 1 writing assignment, and 200 iClicker questions. Also there are class discussions everyday, so find a buddy the first day of class, to avoid awkward conversations with strangers.
Girard is a very straightforward professor. Do not get on his bad side. Attendance is mandatory but if you like the topic, his lectures are informative and interesting. Write all of his clicker questions down since he quizzes from them. 2 quizzes, weekly one page papers (very easy), and 2 exams (midterm and final)gives legit extra credit
Prof Girard really knows what he is talking about. Class is super easy and you barely need the book bc reviews are great. I got a B only because I rarely went to class and mostly showed up test days which I never received less than an A- on. Simple and informative class. I recommend.
Professor Girard is a fountain of knowledge in his field, obviously a veteran educator he knows what he's doing. BUT and its a BIG BUT, if you take this class, plan on being treated like a ten year old child, too much micromanagement. you will learn, but the strict class atmosphere he cultivates at times can honestly stress you out.
A great professor! He speaks well and knows his stuff. Attendance is mandatory, BUT, he does allow you to call him before class if you can't make it for some reason, and he will then exempt you for the clicker questions that day. His assignments were never hard. The quizzes were cake, because they all made sense with the lectures. Take him! :)
It's a really interesting topic, but he's so strict with attendance and the TA's are so picky with papers you write. Make sure you're there every class, or else your grade will drop down a ridiculous amount of points. Overall not a hard class, but a fair amount of reading and studying is required(as with all classes, of course).
Great Professor! Took beyond what I expected from the class. One of the most informative professors I've had. Mid term easier than final. Weekly essays, daily clicker questions. Extra gredit group work-- lots of chances to get a good grade in class.
Great professor, very knowledgeable. Asks that you purchase an iclicker to answer questions (which most of appear on tests). Lots of assignments which keeps you involved and helps your grade big time
MR. GIRARD IS AN AMAZING TEACHER AND SOCIAL SCIENTIST. I JUST LOVED THIS CLASS SO MUCH. MR. GIRARD IS SO ENGAGING AND SMART. I WOULD RECOMMEND MR. AND THIS BEAUTIFUL, EYE OPINING CLASS TO ANY BODY THAT IS REALLY INTERESTING IN SOCIETY FUNCTIONING AND THE TRUTH.
Easy course but if possible, choose a different professor. Be prepared to be treated like a five year old (assigned seats, assigned groups, "put your head down when done with exam"). Weekly papers and group assignments. Exams aren't too hard. Iclicker questions at the beginning and end of class. Again, not to hard of a class just annoying at times.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He treats the students like children. Everyone has assigned seats in groups that he assigns on the first day of class. Weekly assignments are given and iclicker questions in the beginning and end of class. Don't even think about missing class because it will drop your grade badly.
The class is an auditorium based class. The class operates in teams. Each team is responsible for a written summary of each chapterlesson during class. Clicker questions are mandatory, it starts in the beginning of class (DON'T BE LATE) worth a chunk of your grade. Two test, team project and a final. You will pass if you watch the lec. videos
Does not grade papers; he has his teaching assistants grade it for him. Course is hybrid so ALL of his lectures are online. Read, watch lectures, and do assignments before class. He is strict with attendance and does clicker questions at the beginning and end of class. Do not miss ANY exams. He will not take any excuses. A lot of reading to do.
This guy is the exact opposite of what students think is "an easy online class" by far the most annoying professor I've had the misfortune to take at FIU. He makes you work hard for everything. The class is too much work, and his attitude is so self-righteous as if his class is the only thing that matters. Spare yourself the frustration & dont take
He's a really great teacher and as long as you do the REVEL and Learning Catalytics you are set. It's a very interesting class and the online material is a lot but it's really interesting and he's a great teacher. He gives you extra credit and the exams are pretty easy. He will help you and as long as you pay attention you should do fine.
he gives the students a lot of extra credit opportunities but i found his teaching to be dull. you need to watch some of his recorded lectures to answer some of the learning catalytic. he assigned groups and made us sit with them all semester. its an easy class if you do the work but his TA grades everything so you need to talk to him instead
Very boring lectures, lots of in-class work and , and you will be working with a group that HE chooses the entire semester. 3 tests minimum, and dont even think about missing a class because you will be completely behind on the in class work, and he does NOT open them again accept anything late. you need both textbooks.
A lot of online software that takes awhile to get used to. Overall a good class and a caring professor.
Professor Girard, is a PROFESSOR. Meaning he wants you to learn. The class isn't hard if you read, answer questions, and get a clear understanding of the topic. Once you've done that you'll do well. He gives extra credit, but it's not busy work you actually have to WORK. You can call him every day if you want, he doesn't mine.
Love him, he's great
Chris is amazing. His class requires dedication, but it is definitely not the hardest thing ever. He is very consistent and systematic, and very very approachable outside the classroom.
Awesome Professor, one of the best that I have had at FIU. Really passionate, straight forward. Weekly review questions, and group assignments. 1 paper which isn't counted as a grade but will drop your grade if not done. 2 quizzes and 2 exams
Your own work won't get you a grade. Your grade is based on group work except for tests. Tests are ridiculously confusing. Part of the final exam is an essay, which you have to memorize (about 3 pages)with more than 30 specific facts.
He is super unorganized. He lost so many of my submissions as well as team response grades that my TEAM submitted. We have proof that we did it but nothing changes. I love the material, but this man is so unorganized. He loses everything. Although he is easy to get in contact with, as well as very understanding. The hassle is still irritating.
His lectures are extremely boring. Although the three tests are multiple choice, the answers are very tricky and written so that you'll get it wrong. In the final exam, he expects you to write a three to four page essay that includes only facts and statistics. So, although the rest of the grades in the class are easy the tests are not. Beware.
offers extra credit but is not really understanding of certain situations. The class in itself is a lot of information to cover and trying to remember 40+ SPECIFIC facts for 1 paper is a bit much. Although he does round up some grades the content is just difficult. I just wouldnt take this course again.
Ridiculous assignments like a 5 pages writing assignment that worth nothing but if you dont do it he takes away poinTa. His lectures are unorganized and impossible to understand grammatically if you dont see the videos, which are most of the time repeated, missing or not working. If you write him, be prepared to be answered by Apple Siri.
I actually really enjoyed his class and it was not hard to get an A. The projects were fairly simple and so were the quizzes (with a very generous curve). If you get the chance, take him.
Don't take him. His class online is difficult and he does not get back to emails. He is a tough grader and has you do assignments (like a 5 page paper) that don't count towards your final but if you don't do it your grade is dropped by a letter. Not an easy class, his teaching style and material are not clear.
Very straightforward about what he wants and follows syllabus. Assignments are easy but work for your A. This 5 page paper everyone's complaining about will help you on the final and is not hard to do, it's for constructive criticism. I encourage people to take this class, it's very eye opening and he does an excellent job at explaining material.
Unorganized and does not get back to emails. Not taking him again
spare yourself the trouble and don't take him, his class brought nothing but nightmares for me. his workload is impossible, he's a tough grader 5 pages essay and it doesn't count toward your grade, but if you don't do it he will drop your grade(insert eye roll emoji) I'd rather walk mount Everest barefoot than take him again.
Explains subject clear and well. Read lectures and watch videos to keep up in class and book. Assignments are easy to do and theres a good amount of extra credit. Quizzes and tests and curved a lot. You can't BS your way through the class but if you put in time and effort you'll do good.
Really simple.. PREPARE TO WRITE AND READ! but believe me you will learn. Stick together with your group members to complete some assignments and talk to the professor if you run into any problems he really helps!
Professor Girard is awesome!!! He is very passionate about teaching and gets very involved. He makes himself available for questions or clarifications. The lectures, readings and weekly reviews are a lot but they are very informative. Be prepared to work hard but the knowledge you will receive will not be compromised. Take him!
LOL I find this dude FAR FROM AWESOME. I hated every single waking moment of his class. Nothing is good enough for him. Tough grader, and his work literally accounts for nothing. OH and extra credit is a 7 PAGE PAPER. I never once got a good grade. I tried so hard for this class but I don't recommend. Save yourself. Don't take any of his classes.
This class felt like a waste of my time. There is little to no lecturing and you have to teach the material to yourself. It's not too difficult but you have to put in a lot of individual work to understand the material. The only good thing is that he gives you the study guide for the exams & essay prompt for the final. OK guy bad teacher.
I am so glad I decided to take this professor! He is definitely one of the best at FIU. The class requires you to read a lot and use critical thinking but it is doable if you put in the work. He gives great feedback and is always willing to help even outside of class. Very caring and knowledgeable, you will learn a lot with him!
Professor Girard is very caring. Although the tests are specifically linked to the lecture you can still manage to pass even if you don't do so well on them. He gives many extra credit opportunities and actually wants you to succeed in his class. As long as you show up and contribute to your group work you'll pass. He's always a phone call text away
Prof. Girard is super caring and his work may seem like a lot at first but it is straightforward. Weekly assignments are based on his video lectures and textbook readings, and you have to work in groups that he assigns at the beginning of the semester. There are 2 essays and 3 MC tests in total. If you read the material you will be perfectly fine!
I took Professor Girard in the fall and his lectures are excellent. The way he presents the material is very clear and he's very passionate on the subjects he teaches! I would take him again.
Although there are 2 textbooks, if you just take notes down and watch the short lecture clips, along with skimming over the problem solving pdfs, you will do just fine. Lots of extra credit opportunities, he answers really quickly over text, and I personally love the course content. Would take again.
His class was relatively easy, the final isn't to heavy on your grade. He creates groups on the first week that you'll stay with the rest of the semester. There's a weekly mcq assignment on the online book, answers on quizlet, and a weekly module with about 6-12 sentences summarizing an excerpt.
Very knowledgeable professor and such an interesting class. I learned so much! At first it seems there is a lot of work with many assignments, but they are fairy easy as long as you watch his lectures and read the content. He gives great feedback and extra credit. He even gives his cell number if you need in an emergency.
This class requires a lot of work, but if you stay on top of the lectures and readings, you'll learn a lot. The professor is knowledgeable and gives great feedback. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for study prep - highly recommend using it alongside the course materials.
