she is very fast and hard to understand
she may be fast but she'll slow down to help you if you need help. she's very funny too!
This is the best professor at MtSAC!
She's excellent as far as entertainment value however she does work quite quickly. It was not a problem for me but i could see how others found it hard to keep up.
She goes kinda fast, but she's really good! You'll always know what to expect. Doesn't try and trick you at all. Very straight forward.
talks fast and sometimes unclear on explaining, but rather easy if you know your stuff. not too hard of tests/quizes. nice teacher.
she is ok. I got A. she is enjoying to teach. very good teacher. Just review your notes before quiz and tests. You will be ok.
Very easy class. The practice test that she gives you is practically the same test you'll get *only difference is that she switch the numbers. Quiz, make sure you study! And always do your homework on time.(She checks homework when there is a test)
Great teacher! Quizes are based on HW, Tests off of Quizes. Have a full day of review before each test. Homework only due in packets on day of Exam. Get full credit for just attempting the HW. Helps in-class & during office hours.Makes Math Fun!!!!
The pace is fast in this class. If you're just marginal, consider doing the course in A and B version. Good teacher, but Shar Anderson is better.
Very helpful, nice, friendly. Tests and quizes you can go up to her and ask her if you did a certain problem correctly and she wiil tell you yes or tell you the way you should have done it. Her grading system is very helpful to the students, she is always willing to help you out at anytime.
I was so scared to take this class, but she wasn't bad. What I did hate (she only does this is 51) is the presentations of problems. Stuff that helps you: group quizzes (easy a's), and pre-exam study sheets. I'm really bad at math and managed to pull off a B, so if I can do it anyone can.
nice professor
very clear and organized
I hate math, i'm not good in it either, I took this class without buying the book and got a C shes pretty easy, only thing I didn't like was doing problem on the bored. other than that good teacher.
She's a very good instructor. There are no nasty surprises in her class. Work hard and get the grade you deserve. Simple as that. She teaches quickly so you need to be prepared to seek her help before or after class (during office hours) if you need it.
She's great, friendly, sometimes funny in class, and very helpful. She gives out study guides with exact type of problems that will be on each test. Only 12 questions per exam. The class is very fast paced, so you really need to stay on top of homework so you dont get lost. I reccomend buying the solution guide for you book, helped me a lot.
I took her two years ago and she was great!! Very helpful when ever her students need help, she is also a very approachable and positve professor.
I'm not good at math and I hate math. BUT profesor Graham she knows how to teach and if you do the overloaded Homeowork you actually learn all the material. Some people are good at math some are not; IMO this class is for people that are not good in math but wants to learn it. Is something about her teaching technique.
She is so nice!!! Your home work average could replace a midterm thats automatically a 95. And her lecture was fun. highly recomonend!!
shes nice, but i don't think shes THAT much helpful because all she does is simple even problems for each section and just shows work for examples in the book. But the tests are fairly easy because everything on the study guide is EXACTLY whats on the test, except for a few number changes here and there.
her class easy. gives out review sheets before tests and its basically the test itself but with diffrent numbers. as long as you look over her study sheets & know how to do those problems youre set for an A. and do hw worth alot of points and help in tests. she makes sure every1 undrstands if not, goes over the problem again step by step.
She goes a little too fast. We are on chapter 5 and it is only the 4th week. Too much homework
The reason I took this professor is because of the great ratings on this site. WRONG!!! I will never trust it again. She goes way too FAST! If you are not good at math, take Debbie Williams. She is awesome and explains every step. This one skips steps all the time. Half of the class dropped.
She is awful! Just does millions of examples, but doesn't explain a thing. Skips steps and just expects that you already know what you need for the class. Saves all the harder examples till just before the bell so when you finally do have a question there NO time to ask it! NEVER goes over a test or quiz in class.
I have no idea what type of people wrote those bad reviews...they are crazy!I have refered this teacher to 4 friends and they all love her.She is very easy, she goes fast but she is very willing to help.there are no surprises. She gives study guides for each test that are exactly like the test just different #'s.if ur not a complete idiot take this.
She teachers way too fast and did not go through problems step by step.... i do not recommend her class if ur not really good at math... Her quizes are harder than the tests.....
Professor Graham spent the whole lecture period giving examples. Was not clear in what was to be known for the tests. Do not recommend anyone to take her!
Easy and helpful. she talks a little fast, so u need to catch up. She will give you work sheet to study for the test. make sure you know everything on the worksheet, because all the question on the test is similar with the worksheet. Recom.^^
Very helpful. nice, gives group tests, quizes, exams, and finals. drops lowest grade, very well structured to help u succeed. Grade easy, helps out with the answers on group quizes, study guide of exam is almost the same as the exam. Highly reccomended!!
Easy class with group quizzes. Teaches fast but very clear.
She is the best Math teacher I have ever had. She really cares about her students. I took her for math 130 and she was GREAT
SHE WAS SO COOL AND SO HELFUL. I FAILED THE SEMESTER BEFORE AND CAME BACK AND TOOK HER AND I PASSED. SHE WAS SO CLEAR AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. TAKE HER, SHES GREAT!
incredibly FAST but covers a lot of stuff. VERY HELPFUL! Incredibly nice
this prof makes the class fun and interesting. she covers a lot of information in one day, so make sure you attend class, but everything on the test is EXACTLY whats on the study guide.(only numbers are changed)
I took it for the 6 week class, so it was at a very fast pace. Her lectures and examples were great. I did not even use my textbook, so don't buy one. She assigns hw but it's not collected or graded, so you don't technically need to do it. The questions from the solo quiz, however, come straight out of the hw problems. Go take her!
Great teacher!do not need buy the book, just pay attention during class!tests are exactlly same as study guide just change number
Im horrible at math, and Chris Graham made everything easy to understand. Attendance is required to do solo and group quizzes, and the HW is done on the students own pace since it is not due. Study guides are given with exact types of problems students can expect to see. Super nice and easy to ask questions with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
OMG! I loved taking her class because she gave out sooo many examples that they would get stuck in your head!! So by the time you do the quizzes, you'll answer it right!! She is EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! I got an A in this class. Just do the homework even though she doesn't collect it, because the formulas will get stuck in your head! TAKE HER!!
I thought that she was a great profesor. I learned so much from her. If you pay attention to her lectures and take good notes, you'll do great. I got an A in her class and it was way easy. Her review sheets are very similar to her tests and help so much. I would do the review sheet about 3 times before a test and i always got a high A. Loved her!
Chris is a great teacher, i never had someone like her yet. she answers all questions (you have to ask)duh, she is not a mind reader.Tests and exams are easy if you study the examples she gives out (hand out) group+solo quiz are great to boost grades.I recommend her if you know some math if not study and ASK if YOU don't Know. She goes a bit fast.

sometimes is hard to understand her because she talks really fast, but if you go to office hours and try to listen and focus, getting an A in that class should be easy
Attempted to take her class this summer, but she goes sooo fast. Does alot of examples, but doesn't break down the steps to solve the problem. If you are not good with Math, I would not recommend her.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! Took Math 71 Chris Graham goes too damn fast, she skips steps and assumes you already know how to do the problem. She doesn't go over homework, quizes, or tests. If you ask a question, she answers quickly & moves on. Doesn't ask if you understand. Doesn't give hmwrk credit. DON'T TAKE HER!!
Not the easieast teacher but helpful if YOU ask her for help if not then forget it. She goes super fast. Tried taking her for 6 week class but had to drop. I'm horrible at math and if you just don't get it don't take her. However has a VERY good grading system and can tell she tries to help students pass by it. So if you are good at math take her.
A warning, take her if your really good at math. She is incredibly fast paced and assumes that you read the chapter and know the material. I suggest if you do take her that you ask questions and clarity during office hours because she's always in a rush during class time.
I was in her Math 51A class and it went pretty well. She gives lots of examples and gives review sheets before the chapter exams. If you study and do the homework you should be fine.
ok she does go a little fast but she gives many examples for one type of problem and u dont need to copy all of them u only need a few to go over and study. No Hmwrk to turn in and she gives study guides for the test..DO THEM they r SO HELPFUL..basically the exact same problems she just changes the numbers.my second time taking 71 and got a "B"
I kind of had a hard time with this professor. She tends to go through the material a little bit fast, but is always willing to help you if you have any questions.
I kind of don't recommend this professor for those of you who really need extra help with math, because she lectures way too fast. That's why you gotta quickly take good notes to be able to pass her tests. Good luck and do the best you can if you take her.
Grahm is a good professor. I took her spring class(2010 M-W-F).She assigns no HW!!! She has a quiz before ever class. The quiz is base on the notes we took from the last class session. She splits the quizes into solo and group. The best part about this professor are her TESTS!! If you practice the review she hands out then the tests are so easy!:)
Graham is a fast-paced professor, but she covers numerous examples and welcomes all questions. The subject is easy to digest with her light-hearted approach. If you are a visual learner, you'll appreciate her efficient use of different colored markers to illustrate different steps in the math problems.
This prof moves along fast. Extremely friendly, professional, great learning environment. Strongly suggest you study the text as this class covers a lot of ground, expecially the 2nd half. Lots of examples, she is available to help. I needed the MARC to keep up, overwhelmed the last 7 weeks
GOOD TEACHER, JUST GOTTA PAY ATENTION IN CLASS AND YOU WILL LEARN EASY WAYS TO FIGURE OUT THOSE PROBLEMS WE HATE.. SHE MAKES IT SIMPLE. DOING SECTION HOMEWORKS WILL MOST DEF COME IN HANDY
Easy class. She is thorough in explaining the material and is always willing to stop and help. She will answer any question you have. There are solo and group quizzes. On group quizzes she will walk around and help if you need it, so there is no reason not to ace every one. Moderate homework. Moderate exams if you study, no reason not to pass.
I took this class last winter, for 6 weeks and got an A. HW is optional, never graded, but if will help a lot if you do some of it. Constant quizzing but in group quizzes, always received an A. Before each solo quiz, she gave a warm-up that looked identical in format just diff. numbers. Loved the class and her clean sense of humor.
She is such a good math teacher. I've never been a fan of math; unless the teacher is good, and she is. She explains things very well and has a cute sense of humor. Easy A if you pay attention and study enough.
Great teacher, and the group quizes helped. NO HOMEWORK IS REQUIRED. I'm not sure how she is rated as "hot" on here, but I guess youll have to decide that for yourself. But otherwise gives alot of examples of problems for those who need the extra help. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Had her in a Winter course. She is an awesome professor. Yes, she does go through the material fast but explains it great. No homework required and group quiz's are an easy A. Great Professor. Overall rating=10/10
Great teacher. Yes she talks fast, but she's really good and will help you if you need it. She's funny, too. Ask her about her Nun teacher with the wandering eye. Hilarious.
Prof. Graham is a super nice teacher but she talks really fast. I was fine up until the last few chapters since a lot of the material is repeat from 51. She wants you to pass, and drops your worst solo and group quiz and gives you 2 take home quizzes at the end to replace 2 others. She's funny too ... and will help you with anything.
Good professor. Love the teaching. very funny. always helpful. quizzes and tests are easy. must study and gives lots of hw but helps with quizzes and tests. awesome teacher. recommend. i suck at math but passed with a B.
Good Math Prof. Talks really fast, but is clear. She is funny and tries to keep math interesting. There are solo and group quiz every week and drops the lowest score on both. Also hepls alot if u stay for office hrs.I recommend her,Im not good at math and struggled in math 51 but I passed witha B.I did study and did HW altho not mandatory,HW is optiona
I HATE Math, I not very good at it but Chris did a great job at explaining everything clearly. She keep the class fun. She helps you alot in office hours. you get to drop one quiz and get 2 optional take home quiz's to replace your 2 lowest scores. Highly recommend her!
Love, Love, Love her! I am not good in math at all but passed her class. She does talk fast but clear. we had a group quizes evry week which was an easy A bacause you can use notes. Also, solos quizes but she goes over the material right before the quizso is fresh in your head! H.w is optional and she has a funny personality. I highly recommend her
I withdrew from Math 71 in Spring 2012, because I had a terrible teacher and I'm terrible at math. I took her in Summer 2012 and passed with an A. She talks fast, but makes everything crystal clear & is funny. She's very helpful - her review before quizzes & test basically give you the answers! She makes it enjoyable!
I am so glad I was able to take Chri Gaham, I am not good at math but I passed the class with a B, she does not collect homework but if you struggle with math I recommend doing it. There are about 20 quizes. 8 solo and 12 group 3 exams and a final. She goes a bit fast but there is alot of material to cover.
Loved her! She gives homework, but doesn't collect or give points. There is a quiz every class meeting (solo or group), and there is 3 tests, plus the final. It sounds like a lot of work but its not. She makes it easy, and is extremely clear on the material. I usually get C or D's, but got a B+ in her class. Before quizzes/tests she has a review!
I'm sure she is a nice person. However, her teaching style is horrible. She teaches way too fast and she is very vague!! I got an A in intermediate algebra during summer semester and was looking forward to college algebra :( It's only the second week of school and I already know that I can't stand 16 weeks with her.
possibly the worst math professor ever taken. examples from book but no clarity when explain she expects you to know everything she goes through and when asking a question she gives vague answers and brushes you off shes on a schedule to get through example, if you don't keep up you will get lost, and trust me its hard only way to pass class MARC
She just shows the steps of how to solve the problems on the white board. Easy grading policy, solo/group quizzes, 3 tests, one final exam. Get to drop one solo/group quiz, and optional take home quiz. Group quizzes u can ask for her help and use notes/textbook.
This is the easiest class I have ever taken in my life.
Her math 71 class maybe easy, but math 130 is awful. Her teaching style is very fast and always rushed. Tests and quizzes are unnecessarily difficult and very dense. A lot of students struggled to even finish at times. If you're good at math or have taken her previously take her class. If math isn't your strong point however, look elsewhere.
Chris is awesome!!!!! best math professor out there I absolutely loved her.....she is funny and cracks jokes here and there which makes class interesting.....NOT AN EASY A but it is easy to pass, of course if you do what you're suppose to do like study and do hw. Highly recommend her!!!
No one is a fan of math, but if you easily understand the material, you just might become one. Professor Graham talks really fast and her writing on the board is pretty messy, but she emphasizes when you want her to and she's always willing to help after class. She also goes through the material really fast, so you ALWAYS have to pay attention.
There are group and solo work done each week so if that is a problem then do not take her. However aside from that she is a good teacher, although there are some topics in class that I wished she would have clarified more on. she does not make you turn in homework so it is up to you to make sure you understand the material.
It was hard to keep up since i took this class in the summer. However, the group quizzes help out a lot for the solo quizzes and tests. She helps you as much as you want in group quizzes and gives study guides for tests. I didnt like the fact that she would skip a few steps at times in order to save time. HW is not collected but CRUCIAL!
Do not take this professor, her quizzes are way to hard, she talks so fast that you dont have time to write the problem , her homework doesnt help at all, instead of giving you practice problems she gives the really hard problems. The only way you can pass this class without being a genius is if u have a photographic memory.
I enjoyed taking Chris Graham for Math 71 her approach of math makes it stress-free . Math is not my strongest subject, but Chris makes it crystal clear and fun. Her exams are the same as the study guides just with various numbers . Overall, she is a good instructor just do your part and you'll success in her class.
Teaches fast past so if you're not comfortable with that, consider a different teacher. She's very clear with her grading. 3 tests total. Lots of quizzes. If you're struggling, go see her she's more than happy to help out. You have to pay attention or else you'll miss something cuz she teaches so fast
She is really chill. You need to show up because there is usually always a quiz. Lots of quizzes and atleast 3 tests. Study study study. Theres group quizzes to help but study for the solo ones. No need for the book unless you want to do the homework but its optional.
She goes pretty fast, so if you're good at math it's perfect, and if you're terrible, it might not be great. However, you'll most likely pass the class with the group quizzes (open notes). She also gives solo quizzes, Midterm and Final. It's completely up to you if you do homework (only you know if you need to practice); she won't require it.
Prof. Graham gets you through this course as painless as possible. She offers alot of help although she does go quite fast it's not as bad as you think because if you have questions just ask! She is available all the time in her office take advantage of that and she will grade you aswell based on how much effort u actually put in! Don't slack off!
First of all its a math class you must study to get good grades on her quizzes and test to have a good final grade. At least she isn't strict and you can actually understand her lectures so a good class to be in. It is not suppose to be easy but work well on your studies and you can pass with a decent grade or higher.
Professor Graham has a very specific course, Solo and Group quizzes, 3 Exams, and a Final. Group quizzes are always a pass(if you know who to group with), Solo quizzes are easy because you pretty much took it as a group, she comes early to answer questions before all exams. Great teacher, very supportive. highly recommended.
Doing ALL the homework really helped me. She does not collect it though. Group quizzes really help. Solo quizzes prepare you for the test really well. She does talk really fast at times, but thats when I really kept up with her. She is very clear. Her study guides are set up exactly like the tests. Plenty of opportunities for points.
goes over the material too fast. this professor just skips too many steps and doesn't explain how she got that answer. its hard to take notes and keep up with the math work shes doing on the board. confusing. rarely stops and asks if its clear. on the bright side no homework but it would be a good idea to practice outside of class.
One of the best teachers I have ever had for math. Class was rather long which made it easy to lose interest. Many sections are covered daily so do not miss class or you will not pass. Quiz every class, however the group quizzes saved my grade and helped a lot. Always helps if needed. No homework assigned.
Math is not my strong suit but Professor Graham made my experience amazing. Although the quizzes/tests are pretty difficult, half the quizzes you take are group quizzes. She really spends time going over things the students might not understand clearly and she is really funny so it makes class fun and enjoyable.
Im terrible at math, study for the quizzes by doing the homework and you should be set. You have a homework packet due at every test, dont put it off and just do the section the night before the quiz and it helps A BUNCH. Just put in the effort and you will pass (I messed up on that a bit shh its fine)
Yes,take her! The review sheet that she gives before every test is very convenient to prepare for the test and helps a lot. I got almost 100% on every test. Quizzes are tougher, but they don't really matter as long as you study hard for the tests. I failed some of the quizzes but still got an A. Easy class but don't skip class and do your homework
Mrs. Graham was a pretty nice teacher. She gives group quizzes and those prepare you for the solo quizzes. She doesn't collect homework but I strongly recommend doing it because it will help. She is always full of energy, however explains the problems too fast on the board and sometimes it's impossible to watch and listen at the same time. Not bad!
She is a pretty good professor. She does talk fast but just ask her to also down and she will. Be prepared for quizzes each week sometimes 2x a week. Do the study guides and you'll do good on the exams. Make sure to do the homework as well because they are worth points. Just do the work and you'll pass. Its not that hard. Study, study, study!!
Graham is a good professor. Only thing, SHE goes really fast, really really fast. She assigns homework but does not collect it (16 week course). Daily quizzes, group quizzes are open book, work in groups of 3-4, then followed by a solo quiz the next day. Solo's are closed book. Quizzes are based on HW. Tests are just like review sheets.
She is pretty decent professor. The only thing I don't like her is that her talking in class is too fast and it is difficult to catch up what she teaches. A lot of quizzes in class, remember to study hard every day.
Good Professor. Compared to all the other Math teachers, she is definitely one of the better ones. MATH71 is alot of work, but if you consistently attend lecture and attempt to solve homework problems, you will pass. Also gives a review sheet before tests. If you learn how to do the problems on the review, you can definitely get an A on her tests.
Good professor, goes a little fast but its doable. If you're good at math don't need the textbook. She throws in some jokes to entertain the class. If you miss more than 4 solo and group quizzes then it may really affect your grade. Just do the review sheets and you'll be fine. Test are exactly like the review sheets but with different numbers.
Graham is an awesome professor. She does go alittle fast, but she is willing to help and make sure you know the material. Shes willing to help during her office hours and makes the class almost impossible to fail. The study guides make the exams a whole lot easier. Doing the homework will help and it is worth the points, just be willing to work
Great professor, I took her during the fall semester. Her lecture went by fast, but she give out group quiz as a study guide. It also help more because after each group quiz, for the next class she will pass out individual quiz (is going to be the same quiz question just different numbers). Some question also shows up on the exam.
She is a great professor! I enjoyed her class!
