The style of teaching is not ideal for a mathematics class; read the section before class(something that should be done anyways), do the homework assigned (before the lesson), and present it in class the next day. Professor Imm has a very organized College Algebra course which made it easier for online students like myself to navigate. Keep in mind, during the semester there was roughly about 4 HW assignments per week, w/ the occasional quizzes as well. Does not have a lot of study tools for tests either. Nice guy, but would not be my first choice for math.

Professor Imm gives good feedback on your assignments and offers a ton of extra credit opportunities. He is always willing to answer questions. There are group in-class assignments and points for attendance. Trigonometry is a challenging course, so ask for assistance when necessary and use the Math Resource Center. You go through chapters quickly.

He is a very nice teacher, however, I wasn't a fan of daily group work and it often made the subjects harder for me to learn. You could probably get by without the textbook but you still need to practice. He provided some practice in the many projects and in class works. The tests were easy compared to some of the problems in class.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. As long as you keep up with the workload, the classes are incredibly enjoyable and interesting. Professor Imm encourages student engagement and is very respectful of students and encourages questions even if they're not directly related to the current material being taught in that moment.

In class, Prof Imm would teach the material for 20-30 minutes then give us difficult problems on the material he just lectured on. If you want an A, expect to learn the material conceptually on your own and do the homework in advance of it being taught. I respect the challenge of his teaching style, but it could use a less steep difficulty curve.
