Took PSYC 001 during the summer...three hour lectures which she made interesting. Very approachable but professional. You have to study to get an A but certainly doable. If all my professors were like her I would be happy. She obviously prepares for class and takes her teaching responsiblities seriously-not something I can say for all at COS.

Dr. Jones is a teacher who teaches solely to and for herself with little to no regard for her students. She uses hand written overhead transparencies (written while we rush to keep up with her). She has little grasp of the material--doesn't reference the book--and doesn't care what feedback she gets from the students. Why is she teaching? Borin

Class is boring. She uses overhead notes. For the entire class, you will be constantly writing notes the entire time as she talks about them. There is little class discussion. A couple times she had us play a trivia game but that was rare. Tough tests. The knowledge is there and she cares about how her students perform, but methods are poor.

She's always open to answering questions and she only gives one paper for the whole semester. the content of the paper is not of much concern as long as you set it up right (citations and number of paragraphs), you'll get 100%. lots of notes but if you read them a couple times before the tests you'll do great.

Yes, it's a lot of notes, but she gives you almost 95% of all the material that will be on the test. All you had to do was show up, take notes, study for 3 tests (anywhere from 80-116 questions long) and 1 paper. We're in college, that shouldn't be a difficult task honestly. Even if you have a slip up on a test, she gives plenty of extra credit.

Chris Jones-Cage is a great teacher, I am taking another class of hers because she makes the material easy to understand. The class structure is super manageable and she gives extra credit through test reviews. There's only 3 exams during the semester and she makes a study guides for all of them. I would definitely recommend her for psychology

I went from an A to a D (not passing) because I was not aware our final paper needed to be ran through Vericite. When I apologized and ran it, she told me she wouldnt accept it. I asked for partial credit due to forgetting just one thing and she told me no. I worked hard in her class and for her to fail me over one minor thing is unacceptable.

There is NO homework, but there are 3 exams + a paper. Showing up gives you "extra credit" which helps for any missed points on tests, but also at the end of the semester you get an All-or-Nothing participation grade (25pts). She goes over the exact questions on each test, is very kind, & the material is easy to digest. Don't be dumb & come.
