He is so passionate about what he teaches and it makes class interesting. The work load is small; four papers about movies which you pick yourself. It's worth going to class because it's just interesting.
omg!!. he is the coolest guy ever... 95% of fridays we watch films... mostly really good ones, then monday we get class discussion... u only have to speak once-opinion on movie- and you get 100 on class discussions wich is 15% of the grade. 4 easy papers.. great professor, funny and very out there..TAKE TIS CLASS!!! u will love it!
This class was great if you do your work you'll get an A easily! He is very enthusiastic about the class. I always looked forward to coming to class. Take this class for your Fine Art requirement.
TAKE THIS CLASS! Best class I've taking in college.
Excellent class! Chris was a fantastic professor, and you can really see his enthusiasm. I would recommend this class to everyone
This is a great class and teacher. There is no actual textbook, but there is a big course packet that you need. There are 6 pop quizzes, 5% each of the grade. don't miss class. These will hurt you. Movies every friday. Teacher really knows his stuff. Really fun, and easy if you go to class and pay attention.
This class was great! It's an awesome way to earn your Fine Arts credit, or it can just be a fun elective. Your grade is based on 4 short papers, 6 pop quizzes that are really easy as long as you pay attention in class, and discussion in class and on blackboard. Professor Maltezos is really enthusiastic and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Mr. Maltezos is an AWESOME professor, and I wish all my professors were as enthusistic as him. He truly has a passion for fim and cares for his students. The class is a blast (movie!!), and its SOOOOO easy as long as you go to class. I STRONGLY recommend this class! SING UP NOWWWWWWWW!
Professor Maltezos was my favorite professor during my first semester at USF. This class is great for freshman or anyone needing your fine arts gen. ed. credit. The class is based on 6 quizzes, a few papers, and blackboard discussion. No way you can't get an A+ as long as you go to class. Movies every week. Rarely use the course packet, but need it
Easy class don't really have to go to the movies if you don't want to. Only 3 papers and then a final assessment that takes about 15 minutes to write. If you need a fine art credit and don't want to work i would take this class!
Take this Class!! Its really easy and pretty fun...No way you have a better class at USF..Really nice guy too!
Great guy! Loves what he's doing! Hardest part is the discussion if you don't like talking in front of large groups. Do clip day and get discussion by talking about an actor in a clip. Very helpful. Available in office 9-5 everyday except when teaching this class. The class was a blast and opened my eyes to new movies I never would've watched.
I am currently in this class, and I would have to say that this is the best class I have taken so far at USF. I would recommend taking it Summer A because you have a smaller class size and it makes discussions a lot easier. Prof Maltezos is truly passionate about film and he is definitely someone that you can relate to.
Fun class. DON'T BUY THE BOOK. It's $60 that you pay to ProCopy and you only need it to answer a couple participation questions. You can raise your hand to voice your opinion on any movie/actor and that counts. No need for book and can't sell it back. Honestly, don't bother!
Had him for Greatest Performances on Film. Super easy class, I suggest it it everyone! All you do is basically watch movies everyday. Good summer class.
LOVED HIM!!!! easy A for a fine arts credit
TAKE HIS CLASS!!! no only is he a good prof, but he take the time outside of class to help you. if you do not get a good grade in his class, it is you own fault. he allows you ever chance to get an A, but he doesn't give you a grade. you will earn your A.
Great teacher, enjoyable class. take this for fine arts credit!!
TAKE THIS AS FINE ARTS CREDIT CLASS! This class is so much fun, particularly over the summer! Professor is super awesome, watch a movie almost every class, quizzes are SUPER simple, writing assignments are very straightforward and simple. ONE OF THE BEST CLASSES I'VE EVER TAKEN AT USF! Prof is seriously awesome :)
Wonderful class! I am obsessed with movies and this course made me learn even more about them! Best course to take for a fine arts credit. Professor Maltezos is passionate about films and really listens to each student's opinions, even if he disagrees with them. If I could take this course again, I would!
This class is Awesome!!! It's an easy way to earn an A and a Fine Arts credit. I highly recommend taking this class.
Amazing class! It's probably the easiest class, and the most fun that you will take in college. If you have to fulfill a fine arts credit I suggest you take this course. Literally all you do is write 4 film responses, take 6 pop quizzes that are easy in class, watch movies once a week, and 10 discussion board postings over the semester!
My easiest class of the semester. You go in thinking it will be a bs class, but Dr. Maltezos actually knows what he's talking about and truly enriches your knowledge of film. Go to class, and you'll never need to read an article. Don't cite too much in your papers or he won't give you anything more than an A-. Come for the movies, they're good.
Love this class. I came in thinking i would hate it and that it would be a BS class that the teacher didn't care about. But he is amazing loves what he does and what he talks about. Would recommend taking this class 100%. Attendance isn't mandatory but sometimes he has pop quizzes to get points they are really easy. Wish i could take it again.
I absolutely loved this class! Chris is awesome! You can tell he loves his job, and he always responds to emails right away! He is a great teacher and the class was great! I wish I could take it again!! FANTASTIC (:
Easy AND interesting! I enjoyed movies I never thought I'd even watch. Chris knows and loves what he's talking about. Extremely helpful and makes it clear on what he's expecting on papers. 6 pop quizzes that are really easy and mostly come from the films...a few questions from the readings, though.
Very interesting and fun class! The assignments were easy. You could miss class, but you could miss a pop quiz and they are super easy as long as you watch the movies. Going to this class is easy because it is interesting, but if you need to miss a movie day, rent it because you will need it for the quizzes. Nice guy and lively.
EASY A+! He is an amazing teacher too. He loves movies, so class was fun. Stopped going after the first 3 because discussion boards are easy. Quizzes are random, so make friends and let them warm you when he gives one. Got an A+, best class ever.
Great class, great professor. If you need an elective, definitely take this.
He talks a lot. I have no problem with that. He is conscious of time. He is nice, but a lot of his opinion clouds what the class is about. It's not about what he thinks; it's about what you perceive. However, it's good.
Very nice professor talks kind of a lot but its a 3 hour class that you watch a movie in. Literally you watch like 15 movies and have to do a discussion board on 3 of them and then you have to write 3 SUPER easy and short papers. TAKE THIS CLASS (unless you hate watching movies and easy A's
He is a great teacher very easy to make an A so just come to class and watch the movies and make the grade. The movies are very interesting, and he is a kind man. You have papers but very short ones on selected films. TAKE HIM!!
TAKE THIS CLASS; can't stress that enough. I liked watching the movies and it is an EASY class.
best fine arts class you can take. performances on film is really easy too. you dont have to go but he does give out 4 pop quizzes throughout the semester. you literally just chill and watch movies
Maltezos is very passionate about film and enjoys hearing opinions from students. This class was extremely easy, passed with an A+. Required: 3 easy papers based on films you watch outside class, 6 discussion board postings (opinion based), and 4 short quizzes throughout semester. If you take this class, actually stay for the films shown in class!
Chris Maltezos is a very passionate prof, and greatly appreciates film.My only complaint is that you won't actually learn anything if you don't read the articles. He doesn't teach in class at all-he asks student opinions on films/actors,then plays the film of the week. You'll see some films you love, and some you hate, most likely. 3essays-great prof!
He is a great professor easy class and easy fine art requirement. 3 Essays which are extremely easy, 4 pop quizzes, discussion posts, and a final assessment (SUPER EASY). He likes to teach you about the history of films and is passionate about students opinions. Take him you won't regret it and you will end up learning. Gives make up quiz end term.
TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! Chris is a really good teacher. I had him my second semester and am beyond glad I took his class. Phenomenally nice guy, still friends with him on FB to this day! Class is amazing. He shows you really good movies that I never would have seen before! Plain and Simple: TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!
TAKE THIS CLASS! He's shows pretty decent movies and the papers are graded really easy ( I got an A+ on every one). Great elective class and Mr. Maltezos knows his stuff :)
If you are looking for the easiest class you should take this one. Passed with an A+. There were 3 papers that weren't harshly graded, 5 quizzes (you can usually guess when he will be giving a quiz) a personal assessment and a discussion board. Super easy class and quite interesting. All you do is watch movies though. :)
This class is extremely easy and fun as long as you like watching movies. Maltezos is very funny, caring, and helpful. I highly recommend this course and teacher! There is hardly any work.
This class fulfills the Fine Arts FKL & a Human Historical Context & Process requirement. BEST TEACHER EVER. 5 pop quizzes (1 is a makeup quiz). 3 papers about your opinions of certain moves. 1 personal assessment. Maltezos is really passionate about film and you can tell he enjoys what he does.
Easy class, but you must attend. He makes it fun and enjoyable.
Extremely easy class. Go to class to watch movies and discuss movies in general. He makes you read articles before each class, and there are 3 or 4 very very easy papers to write in the semester. Take this class, and take Maltezos
I loved this class. I think Maltezos is an excellent professor. He cares about his students and is clear on everything that is due. For the class, there are couple of papers to write and discussion boards to create on the movies and articles he goes over in class. This is a very fun and easy class and I highly recommend him.
Very easy fine arts FKL. The movies are actually pretty good too and the quizzes are easy. No final exam. The papers are simple assignments too.
He is a great teacher and a really nice guy. You can understand his passion for film of all kinds. This is the perfect class for a film lover or anyone needing a fine-arts credit. The quizzes are EASY if you go to the screenings & the papers are just as easy; completely opinion based. I looked forward going to this class and watching movies -Great!
I LOVE this class.I admit I wasn't that interested in film prior to this class, but he made the class so enjoyable.Definitely an easy A:4 papers, some quizzes. Not bad at all.Films were interesting and the quizzes were so easy.Attendance isn't mandatory, but you should go,because the class really isn't that bad.He listens to everyone's opinion.
Great class. If you enjoy film or not, it's a great class, and an easy A to earn. 3 papers on film, and a personal assessment paper, 4 quizzes with an EASY make up quiz last class, some blackboard discussions, nothing major. Great class, great prof, plus you get to watch movies every class, C'mon MAN! Attend class too, such a disrespect to ditch.
Awesome class and awesome guy. Attendance isnt mandatory but you watch movies and take quizzes so you should definitely go. Get to see some interesting films too. Easy A and enjoyable class.
VERY easy and fun class. There are 3 papers (1.5 pages) and six quizes (about the movies). Every day you sit down, discuss a reading (which don't actually need to be read)and then you watch a movie. Pretty straight forward. All of the movies shown are excellent.
Awesome class! only 3 papers and 6 quizzes, you'll have fun, get an A, and watch movies
This class is soooooooooo easy! Thank God because i took it alongside chem bio and calc. Missed a couple classes, including two quizzes which resulted in me ending up with an A- that messed up my 4.0. Lol ironically it was my easiest class that messed up my GPA.. smh .
This was honestly the best class I've ever taken to the point where I looked forward to it every week! Maltezos is the nicest professor and you watch movies that are truly amazing and impactful. There is also NO TEXTBOOK. The papers are opinion based and short and the quizzes are SO easy. I STRONGLY recommend this class, you won't regret it at all!
Awesome class, all you do is watch movies and write like 4 papers throughout the semester, which are super easy.Professor Maltezos is so cool and helpful, he really does care if you have a concern. Great class, I would take it again!
Awesome teacher! Very easy A, movies every class. a few easy quizzes are given, you write a couple responses to movies and readings that are really easy, and write 4 short papers about movies for the whole semester. Favorite and easiest class I've ever taken
This teacher is the the best. Great class, great films. He knows his class is easy, all he really asks for is respect by attending and participating in discussions. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
Professor Maltezos is the nicest professor I've ever had! He's a generous grader and cares about all of his students. I learned a lot and had fun every week. Make sure you come to every class because all of the films shown are really good! Easy A if you do all of the work!
Mr Maltezos is just awesome. The class has no textbook, you're only required to read an article every week and write 3 relatively easy papers, besides 4 unannounced quizzes. The movies he shows are great and he really knows his stuff. I think the only problem with this class is the rude people who are in it just for the easy A!
Engaging, interesting, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about film. Establishes great relationship with students. Outstanding film choices and discussions. 3 papers (very liberally graded), 4 quizzes, and online discussions. If I were to have a criticism, it would be that the class is too easy. If you love film, take this class.
Go to every class because you'll never know when there will be a quiz, and I don't recommend missing any. Papers are graded very fairly. Professor Maltezos is very nice and I was surprised at his level of knowledge of pretty much every movie ever. No reason you shouldn't get an A in this class. Super easy, and a nice break from your harder classes.
I really enjoyed this class! Professor Maltezos has a vast amount of knowledge of pretty much any movie ever made and actors inolved. The movies he picks go from the silent era to modern day. He is really easy grader and show up for class everyday for random pop quizzes. TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WILL LOVE IT.
Mr. Maltezos is AWESOME. His knowledge on movies is super extensive. There are a in class pop quizzes, but if you go to class and pay attention, it would be hard to get less than a 100%. I took this during Summer B, so we only had 2 papers, but he gives you TONS of wiggle room to do whatever you want with it. I really do recommend this class.
Nice movie break in between any busy class schedule. Really enjoyed the variety of films presented.
Loved this film class! it was a wonderful class and I got to see a bunch of amazing movies thanks to it! I only have one bad thing to say about this class: beware the TA grading your paper! I hated that woman, she took points off for no reason while papers graded by the teacher were fairly graded. Otherwise a great class and I would recommend it
Great instructor and great business admissions advisor! Hands down the most down to earth and friendly guy you will ever meet. If you don't get along with him, I you need a reality check.
This guy knows his films! You can tell he loves what he teaches. Every class, you will watch a film you've probably never seen and you'll absolutely love it. He makes you appreciate the art of film. The reading articles are really interesting. There are four pop quizzes throughout the semester so make sure you attend class. Best class I've taken!
He is a good professor, his classes are fun because all you do is watch movies and read articles for a grade. His TA is a tough grader though, be detailed and answer all the questions in the essays.
This guy's a beast. He's fantastic. Very personable, fair, and clear in instructions. It's hard to hate this guy, and his passion for movies shows every class. Do not be afraid to take this class.
What a great teacher and advisor. Totally embodies what it means to be an educator as well as a mentor. Chris knows the ins and outs of the film industry (wonderful class), and even today it still baffles my mind how much information he knows about film. Chris is a great teacher and awesome roll model that possesses all traits of a USF BULL!
Too this for summer A, EXTREMELY easy course. Very insightful, open minded guy. Love the movies. The assignment consisted of 4 pop quizzes (plus 1 extra credit quiz), canvas discussion posts, 2 (shortopinionated) papers, & a personal assessment. Nice breather course if you need one.
Professor Maltezos is a very cool person and teacher. He loves movies and his interest for them shows. He begins the class with discussion on a certain genre of movie, which leads to the viewing of an example of said genre. The summary papers are easy (if you watch the movie), and his lectures are interesting. I recommend.
Chris is very into movies and loves sharing his interest with his students. You will have weekly readings, Canvas discussions to complete throughout the semester, 4 pop quizzes, and 3 papers as well as a personal assessment. His class is not very hard and for sure an easy A, just be sure to not procrastinate. Perfect for your Fine Arts Credit.
Easiest fine art offered in my opinion. 3 not too difficult essays, 4 pop quizzes(5 easy MC q's), 10 canvas discussions and a personal assessment the last week of class. Very knowledgeable professor on films and very engaging to students. Highly recommend
This class was super easy and enjoyable! Who doesn't like watching movies? And better yet you receive credit to do so! There were 3 essays each written on movies you get to pick, and pop quizzes that were based on movies/reading from the course. Don't be scared of the pop quizzes because they were easy. Teacher really loves the class he teaches.
Such a great class. Maltezos is great at making you view acting differently. The class usually begins with a lecture, and then watching a movie. Occasionally you will have a pop quiz about the movies and readings. Easy A, definitely recommend.
If you don't take his class for your Arts FKL, what are you doing with your life. This class was not only fun, but very easy as long as you did your work and came to class. I wish I was a film major so I could take more classes with him!
Easiest class I have ever taken by far. Go to class, get a 20 minute lecture, then watch a movie. All you have to do is post on a canvas discussion post about 5 movies. There's also five pop quizzes and three easy 1 page essays, but they're all incredibly easy. Take this class if you need a fine arts FKL you literally cannot fail.
Would recommend for someone who does not want to put a lot of effort into a class. The movies shown were interesting and his lectures are not long. Take notes on the lectures since he takes attendance by 4 random pop quizzes during the semester. Grades come from quizzes, responses to reading online and 3-4 papers.
If you want an enjoyable and easy fine arts credit, take this class with him. There is no real reason why you shouldn't get an A. If you go to class and do the discussion posts about the films and the readings the pop quizzes will be nothing and you will get an A. Not even the papers are that difficult .
He really knows what he's talking about when it comes to film and he's always eager to discuss. The class is so easy with only 4 papers that are fun to write and 4 easy quizzes. You don't have to show up to class, but he chooses some really good movies so it's worth going.
His lectures are interesting. Most of the class is spent watching movies. There are only 4 simple quizzes and 4 short papers.
Professor Maltezos is very knowledgeable and he loves to share his insights about films. There are a total of 10 brief discussion posts, 2 film papers, and one personal assessment. Also 4 short pop quizzes. We watched films and discussed them in class and on the board. Great class and great Professor. I got an A. Wish he taught other classes.
very easy class. there were 3 essay that were fairly easy. 10 discussions on the film and readings which he provides. if you are not open minded, don't take this class as you will be exposed to a range of films. there are 4 mandatory quizzes that are only given in class that are based on films and readings. they're easy if you pay attention.
This teacher is very basic, the class is basic, all you do is write mediocre papers and watch movies. He can be a bit stern.
I don't know what the last guy was talking about, Chris is great. Loved every minute of the class, it was fun and easy. I really appreciate Chris' enthusiasm for film, it makes the class even more enjoyable. The grades are discussion boards and a few easy papers. I learned a lot, and watched some great movies that I never would have seen otherwise.
Great professor for Film class. He explains films very well before watching. There were 3 papers about films which were very easy and the criteria were very clear. There were pop quizzes throughout the semester which were easy if you watched the films during the classes.
Dr. Maltezos is a nice but stern teacher who makes watching movies great. I really enjoyed the class, the movie variety was great and the discussions good. Furthermore, we only had to do 3 essays (and 1 end of the semester reflection paper) and 10 discussions. This class was really easy but also helped me discover great movies I never knew about.
Chris was incredibly helpful both inside and outside of class. His film class is amazing; he really cares about what he does, and you can tell he puts a lot of effort into picking movies that are entertaining, artistic, and deeply meaningful. His grading criteria is also very clear. Additionally, he is the best business college advisor ever.
Chris is the BEST. I cannot recommend him enough. He is a truly exceptional person and lecturer. You will really enjoy taking his class.
Maltezos does a great job with the way he organizes his class. He is very clear with what he wants from the class and provides good detail into what you watch and how it plays into the history of film and the overall course content. I did not find his feedback on papers that extensive, but it is understandable for such a large class. Simple course
Chris was so nice and passionate about film. take this class if you are interested in film or just want a fun class. He gives some pop quizzes but if you go to class it's an easy A
Great professor, extremely thorough understanding of film. Watch out for the 5 quizzes given randomly throughout the semester. A fair bit of reading required but overall a very interesting and easy course. Rare case of a class that you learn a lot in without having to do a ton of work.
I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! He cares so much about the class and teaching in general. This class is Extremely easy it's almost impossible to get lower than a B. 4quizzes and 3papers all super easy. Basically show up in class and pay attention and you should not worry at all. Learned so much about films and life as well. Do the work and you'll get an A!
Each class we watch movie clips and examine the actors roles and then how each scene might convey to a greater meaning in society. There is a couple papers, and 10 short 3 sentence discussion posts, that you can do anytime its just open and you do it before the end of the semester. Simple class and would recommend as an elective.
Took this class over the summer. Watched movies, very easy. There were three easy pop quizzes and a makeup one at the end. Two papers graded by him. Good Prof.
Love this dude. He was great at teaching and super laid back. Best professor on campus, would recommend to anyone. Easy A and enjoyable class. (THE2252)
Class is overall an easy A as long as you go to lecture. Essays are easy topics that r opinion base you just need to make time to watch movies for them. Pop Quizzes for attendance are at the end of lecture usually about the things he talked about at the beginning of class and simply things that happened in previous movies watched during lecture.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but he wont announce quizzes ahead of time. They're easy if you show up to class, listen to the short lectures, and watch the movies he shows. 3 papers that are 600 words analyzing actors of certain films, reply to some discussions about the films in class and some readings about different periods of film. Easy A
Most of your grade comes from 3 papers and a personal assessment of the course. They are all 600 words, opinion-based, and graded very easily. Just put aside some time to watch the movies the paper is about and you should be fine. There are also 10 discussion posts in total that can be done throughout the semester and 5 pop quizzes with 1 make up.
Chris was an incredible professor, and is an amazing advisor as well. He is accessible outside of class for any problems you have, and he is very friendly and will be a friend to you whenever you need him. The class was easy, useful, and was made interesting by Chris.
Professor Maltezos is honestly one of the best professors at USF by far. I took him online for Business Skills & Best Practices and it is an extremely easy class. There are a couple of assignments due each week (about 2-3) that are just participation discussion boards and a quiz. He teaches the material well and cares about his students.
I actually learned a lot about the skills and practices that matter most in the business world because of this professor's stress-free teaching model. He also gives excellent feedback on your resume, cover letters, and job interviews so that you can jump right into your career after graduation. Years from now, I will look back and miss this class.
Prof Chris cares a lot about his students. The class is super easy. Lectures are fun. Trust me just take him.
He is such a phenomenal teacher! He is my favorite professor at USF because you can tell he really cares about his students and is really passionate about teaching. If you ever need help inside or outside the classroom, he will always be there for you. Overall, such a nice, funny, and caring guy! I one-hundred percent recommend taking his class!
Easy class! Attendance counts though, 4 absences knocks off a letter grade. Assignments are beyond easy and he's a pretty cool guy. Lectures are kinda boring but you have to go for the attendance.
It was an easy class overall. Chris is very helpful to students in and out of class and isn't a harsh grader. He also invites guest speakers to his class from the business or entertainment/movie sector which I think are very interesting.
He is very understanding about his students circumstances whatever they might be. He brings great guests into class who then teach us skills that they are proficient in. Overall, great professor!
He is one of the best professors I've ever had. He does take attendance for a grade however, you'll actually look forward to going to class. The quizzes and exams are open notes and book. The discussion posts are easy. He brings in guest speakers and plays trivia at the beginning of class. He is super understanding and entertaining!
Best professor I've ever had. Despite mandatory attendance, he doesn't drop you a letter grade like other GEB teachers do. Class is engaging. The assignments are easy and he brings in guest speakers and does trivia with us in the beginning of class which is cool. You can tell he's passionate about teaching and cares for his students.10/10 great guy
He's one of the coolest professors I've had, he sets every student up for success. If you can't pass this class, it's totally on you. Very easy quizzes, discussion posts are also very straightforward and easy, writing assignments are super easy, they allow you to reflect on your career goals. Final exam is open book and fairly easy.
Extremely easy class. Mandatory attendance, but lectures are engaging and fun. Assignments, discussion posts are extremely easy. Quizzes are a bit harder but not too bad, and final exam was very easy- open book. Prof. Maltezos is awesome and wants to help you succeed outside of the classroom, and shares lots of personal stories. Highly recommend.
Super fun class and the Prof. Maltezos grades really easily and quickly and always gives feed back
One of my favorite classes and favorite professors. The class is not hard, you just can't put it off to the last minute because it may seem easy. Give yourself enough time to watch and write. The way everything was set up module-wise was great and he grades things like immediately which is super nice too.
He was the best professor I have ever had! He was super caring and he really cared about us learning. He had a lot of guest speakers that were fun and all the homework and quizzes were really easy. Everything is open book (finals too) and he has a lot of extra credit opportunities! Attendance is mandatory but if something comes up, just email him!
Incredible professor. A quiz most weeks (open book, very easy), some discussions/assignments, and a final (open book). Class is interactive and he brought in multiple guest speakers. Available to answer questions outside of class, responds to emails quickly. He genuinely cares about his students.
Such a great professor. Weekly quizzes that are very easy, as well as a few major assignments. Final is open book and worth a lot, but it was easy. He brought in interesting guest speakers too. Take him, you wont regret it
Professor Maltezos is definitely one of the best professors that I've ever had. He's very fun and engaging and he actually cares about his students. He brings in great guests, that are relatable and provide really good points that can be applied in the real world. Overall, if you want a great teacher and a great class, pick Professor Maltezos.
Great guy who cares about you as a person. His class is well run and not overwhelming.
Prof Maltezos is a fantastic professor and advisor. Although the material he covers can be somewhat boring, he does a great job of making the class fun with trivia and engaging lectures. Definitely take him for this class.
This class consists of weekly assignments, quizzes, discussion boards, attendance, and a final exam. This class is super easy and Prof. Maltezos is absolutely wonderful. He cares about the success of all students and helps out with anything you need. His class is fun and a super easy A:)
This class with Prof. Maltezos is a fun and easy A. Weekly assignments, quizzes, and a final exam, but he makes it engaging with guest speakers. unstuckstudy was super helpful for study prep. Definitely take this prof if you can!
Weekly discussions based on lecture and open book, untimed quiz ,and sometimes an assignment. He explains what is expected of assignments in class, and includes an example in modules that you can follow. Final exam is open book and all multiple choice. Brought in many guest speakers, which I really enjoyed. Fair grader and easy to talk to
Not relatable, speakers did not teach us anything new. Waste of time. Final is long and just straight from the text.
Professor Chris Maltezos made GEB 3033 engaging and practical. He brought real-world insight into the class and kept things interesting. I really enjoyed his approach and learned a lot.
Hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had. They made the class engaging, relatable, and actually fun. The guest speakers were always unique and brought something new and valuable to the table every time. If you want a teacher who genuinely cares about your success—sometimes even more than you do—this is the class to take. Highly recommend.
Did not learn anything I expected. As a 3 credit class we should not be reading textbook and doing simple quizzes and final exam as highschoolers. This is a business class and not everyone cares about his passion in film.
He is an amazing professor. I highly recommend him! He makes lectures enjoyable, never bores you, and very caring. I would take him again for sure.
This teacher is amazing. The rating from July 31 is insane, he's very relaxed and understanding of the fact that we're students with real lives, and would prefer we actually interacted with and understood the content than just read the textbook and memorize to pass. He's charismatic, cheerful, and a joy in class.
Very likeable and incredible to listen to. He makes classes go by really quickly. While also providing great examples of the topic of the day through film clips. Would highly recommend people to take this professor at least once through their USF career.
Don't listen to that phony from July 31st. Chris is amazing. He is very caring and makes lectures fun. Super easy class.
Wonderful professor! I took this class in the summer so it was short but it was fun! The modules look great and super organized. Although the essays took a bit of work, if you do it early and send it to Chris he will give you great feedback. Overall, it was fun watching films every week and the professor is superb!
Great teacher & connects real world examples to the things we are learning. Class was enjoyable & became something I looked forward to during the summer. All the guests were interesting to learn from & see what their jobs are like in the working world. I am telling all my friends who have to take this class to take it with Chris. Also film is fun
I went to Penn State for two years and had great teachers, but none compare to Chris. He's the most personable, respectful, and dedicated professor I've met. He gives detailed feedback to every student. The 2.0 rating from July 31 is way off. That guy's projecting (L mans). Take Chris's class—you'll grow academically and personally.
Professor Maltezos is a legend among professors. He will get you business ready and truly prepare you for the world of work.
Professor invites new guests every week and always ready to help with whatever. Great professor!
This class was interesting and thought-provoking, and he is so passionate about the subject and his students. The feedback is deep and the assignments are simple. Also, Chris is an amazing academic advisor for the business school with strong knowledge about anything you ask him. He has always been nothing short of incredibly helpful and caring.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! Took it as an elective but still had so much fun and got an A+.
He was very funny, and definitely seems like he loves what he teaches. He made the class fun, and the assignments weren't hard at all. Assignments were actually fun to do, and he grades very easily.
super kind prof! assignments are super easy all you do is watch movies and do discussion posts. take this class!!
Super easy class and you actually learn stuff. Literally just watching movies and writing a 4-6 sentence discussion board with 3 easy essays. would highly recommend for an easy elective
Super easygoing, discussion heavy class. Fun movie assignments. Overall recommend him!
Barely any work to do, gives good grades.
Amazing professor, fun assignments, easy A.
Prof. Maltezos is great, he's very chill and makes the class genuinely enjoyable to attend. The course mainly consists of weekly quizzes and discussion posts, with an occasional more in-depth assignment and a final exam. Most of the material is pretty much based on common sense and concepts discussed in class, so it is not hard at all.
