Mr. Raye is awesome, he truly cares about his students and is straight forward about everything. His tests are not hard but not easy either, you do have to study in order to pass. His lectures are interetsing and he keeps you entertained! I would recommend him to anyone GREAT TEACHER

His teaching methods were so helpful and easy to understand. Notes were a great help for the class and life outside of class. I totally recommend him :).

Cool guy. Knows his stuff and can teach it well. I never reall y wanted to take this class but it was alright in the end. I got a B+ with an average amount of effort. Study before tests and go to class. 10 easy HWs, 3 tests, and one small project.

He is fresh and interesting. All in all he was a really great teacher. I got a B+ b/c you really have to study (read) before tests. This was a fun but interesting class. Take him!

Loved this class! Getting good grades on each test was simple. Look over notes, use the book if needed, and you'll do fine. He knows what he's talking about, and also knows how to teach it. Can't say the same for most at SFC. Enjoyed coming to class everyday. He's also very understanding. Great teacher!

I LOVED THIS CLASS! Dr Raye makes you really want to understand the material because he really cares whether or not you get it. he's passionate about the subject and teaches fairly. Study time is a must, but you only have a HW assignments maybe once a week. Be in class because all the test questions are from the notes. plus he's cutie so why not?

Mr. Raye is very nice and helpful. He gives good lectures with examples so it makes psychology easier to understand. Not only does he make the materials fun and funny,but he's easy on the eye's too! What a little cutie!

Dr.Raye is very charismatic, entusastic, and helpful. He creates a safe place in his class room where u r able to ask ne question without judgement. He gives boring powerpoint lectures, but he teaches what u need to know to pass the class. He's pretty cute too :)

Prof Raye is a great teacher and he is very easy to talk to. If you don't do well you are not going to class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you will lose points if you miss an in class assignment. He outlines the exams well and the final isn't cumulative which is nice. I would definitely recommend him if you need PSY 2012!

Best professor at sfc hands down. cool, fun guy, rele young so he can relate to everyone. has a rele good sense of humor and is extremely smart. his class is more of a lecture class but he makes the lectures fun with the way he teaches. definitly take this guy u wont regret it.

Dr. Raye is a great teacher that knows how to teach and makes it fun to learn. This class is not hard but requires taking notes, doing all homework (for easy points) and studying key concepts prior to any exam. I highly recommend this teacher to anyone interested in psychology.

I took him for Psychology and he is so nice and willing to help. He tests are straight from the powerpoints he goes over in class. He gives a lot of extra credit. You do a lot of group work. He plays a lot of videos that are very interesting and tie into the material to make it more engaging. He is a great teacher!

I took him Summer B and at first he was really controlling and demanding. As the semester went on he started giving us power points and opening hw up early. I think he is a great teacher and always has a fun group project or video to show us on the days topic discussed. Highly recommend him!Never boring and very fun!Has his own method of teaching!

Dr. Raye has got to be one of the best professors at SFC. He is very thorough when explaining the material. All questions on the test come straight from lecture and notes, so if you go to class you'll be fine. HW is straight forward as well. He's very generous with extra credit too!! Awesome teacher! I'm taking him again for DEP2004 this semester.

I can't believe this guy got rated "hot." His class is an easy A but mandatory attendance sucks and there's a lot of homework... I got an A without opening the book.

he is a good prof and person if you take this class be ready to do homework every week a study guide for every test and a small presentation that's 1-2 minutes long.

Chris is a fantastic instructor. He is passionate about psychology and seems to enjoy teaching. His lectures were always very interesting and class went by quickly. If you know everything on the review sheet you will do well on the exams. He even offered extra credit at the end of the semester.Take him if you want to learn a lot.

Cool teacher. real laid back. took his summer A course and passed with an "A". it was alot of HW but his tests are easy as long as you just read online notes. minimal book use i wouldn't bother getting it. i'd suggest taking this class during expedited semesters.

LOVE IT! He is super cute and super nice and he constantly smiles. The tests aren't that hard as long as you study the exam review he gives you. Other than that everything else is really easy and fun going.

Dr. Raye really knows what he's talking about. You do have to work to get an A, and he's kind of a tough grader. But overall its a great class and a great teacher

This class is really easy if you're going to read the text book or study the notes. You can get by if you dont read till the test comes, but i wouldnt suggest it. He's super organized, and the class in really interesting. Take this class if you're not a slacker, and it will be cake.

Good professor, but he dosent teach that well. Tough grader but you need to go over the material yourself multiple times before you can actually get it. If you fail a test then your grade drops dramatically. His class was very boring, but he is nice.

I love psych, and it was once my strong point, but I definitely struggle with his classes. He is laid back and a great guy, but grades TOUGH. His tests are probably the hardest I've ever had. As a lecturer, he's wonderful, but the tests are killer.

Dr.Raye is an amazing professor.He gives out multiple chances for extra credit.He assigns an online assignment every week that is due on Sundays.He also let's us have an outline on what would be on the test.I recommend taking him.The tests can be hard sometimes because you would have to think critically.Attendance is a must.

This techer is AWESOME!!! His power points are straight out the book, so no need for the book. With the test it was more like "APPLYING" what you know instead of remembering what to know! He made it interesting

Not a tough grader. Test r multiple choice straight from powerpoints . No cumulative final. Took him for gen psych as well. Go to class for xc. Skipping class can really affect your grade. Got a B for skipping and not doing 3 of 8 hw. It is easy to get an A. Group presentation 20 min long Reallyeasy. Amazing prof. dont be lazy, do hw, go to class.

Dr. Raye is definitely one of my favorite teachers at SF. He makes his classes interesting by teaching off of a power point and is clear about what he is explaining. He gives one online assignment each week and you have the full week to complete them. It is an easy A and you will leave feeling accomplished with what you have learned.

This was an interesting class. Professor Raye really enjoys what he's teaching, and it shows during lectures. Class times often turned into group conversations, which was cool and helped to apply concepts to real life. Tests required moderate studying for me, but I got A's on all that we have had so far. Do the assignments, show up for class.

Dr. Raye really knows how to connect to his students. He is very friendly energetic, willing to help his students. Psychology with him was very fun and easy. Exams are multiple choice based off the powerpoints, the book was rarely ever used. Gives some extra credit as well. Overall, pretty easy class can't say anything bad about the dude.

Dr. Raye is great. I have taken two psych classes with him and i love him. His classes are very easy, but he does take point off for absences. He is always willing to help you in anyway he can. He does give homework and a good amount of writing is involved. He is so cute, you wont mind a little extra writing :)

Dr. Raye is amazing, always provides power points for his lectures, and provides office hours for extra help for those who need it. Do the work and attend class and you will get the grade that you deserve.

The class requires a lot of studying and participation; however, Dr. Raye makes the class very informative and easy to follow. Dr. Raye uses PowerPoint's (every PowerPoint is on your student modules) and adds more notes to them each class. I was very sad the class ended because he is super hot. I will be taking his other classes ;)

Chris is an excellent professor and is terribly knowledgeable about his area of expertise. Not only did I enjoy his class tremendou8sly, but I garnered so much information, as well!

Dr. Raye was absolutely incredible!! He explains the material very clearly and his tests are super easy. I would recommend him 100 times out of 100. If you pay attention and do the very easy work, you will get an easy A.

Dr. Raye assigned one 30 minute assignment each week with a test the following monday. If you go to class and do the very easy homework, you should get at least a B+. Tests come directly from the power points and he uploads those online as well. If you go to class and even put in half an effort, you'll be fine.

He seems pretty cool but he blabbers way too much and repeats the same concept several different times, which gets confusing.

The subject mater was presented clearly and his grading was fair. He is pretty helpful if you have a problem and doesn't mind talking about things more in depth after class.

He's great. The material may seem a bit difficult but if you pay attention to his lectures and take good notes, you shouldn't have any trouble passing the class with at least a B.

Chris Raye was one of my favorite professors ever. He is very clear on directions and has simple assignments. Exams are easy if you study his lecture PowerPoints. Also, he is very knowledgeable and will do his best to make sure you understand the material. Overall, I would definitely recommend him. He's the best.

Tests come straight from the powerpoints so make sure to take notes. There are 10 online assign that will help your grade--real easy. There is a 20min group presentation, but its not bad so don't freak out. Do the EC!

Let me start off by saying I would gladly take his class again! Definitely worth taking and always will state that if you need to discuss anything or have any questions you can call and check if he will be there or stop by his office. He doesn't give much homework as well. If you're looking for A Psychology Professor to take..I highly suggest him!

I wasn't sure if I'd like Psych but I learned SO MUCH. He made it interesting. He's very organized and uses canvas effectively so you never wonder where you stand in the class. Prof. Chris was great. At times he may seem condescending, but his point is to get you to either be more clear on the material or for you to dig deeper into your response. He's a psychologist, so naturally he's going to dig into your responses. He's always willing to answer any question and he'll go over things multiple times if needed.

Dr. Raye is amazing! Very articulate & knowledgable. Class discussions are fun and interesting and he is extremely clear about what will and will not be on the exams. Go to class and be on time because he does toes take attendance. Assignments are due every Sunday night and the exams are an easy A if you just go over your class notes. Great class!

I'm a dual enrollment student at SFC. I took Professor Raye for Fall. He is a great teacher and very understanding. The door was always open if I had any issues. Easy to get a hold of and great with responses if I emailed him.

This was an easy class. I never purchased the textbook and did just fine without it. He posts all his lecture notes online and his study guides line up with them perfectly. He is a pretty easy grader as long as your assignments are thorough. His exams are straightforward as well. I would recommend this class. He knows what he is talking about.

As long as you go to class do the extra credit you will get an A. Awesome Professor, makes the class very interesting. He is always available to help. 4 test study and most of the assignments are online. I would recommend you take this class with this professor.

I trulyu enjoyed Dr. Raye's class environment and teaching style. There were many discussions in this class and he gave everyone a chance to participate. Homework is typically easy and fun but you will need to read the book along with studying his power point notes in order to fully grasp test material. He is very knowledgeable and personable.

Professor Raye was honestly great. He gave our class study guides for each test and as long as you did those you aced the tests. There was no final exam. You get one weekly homework assignment due every Sunday night, none of which were difficult. Attendance is graded, but we got two freebies. He really loves what he teaches, I highly reccomend.

Good classroom environment, and class discussion. There are 4 exams, 2 article review essay, and one huge group project (essay, power points, and survey). Provide key concept to study for exam and notes. I advise you to buy the book!!** Give extra credit. Above all, I learned a lot from his class, and he always had time to help me!

Everything we did in class was also available online. All of his lectures were interesting and clear. We were given study guides before the test which are very helpful for me, I did every study guide and did well on every test. Even though I took his class in the morning it never felt like a chore. I would DEFINITELY take a class from him again.

Dr. Raye was a great instructor. His class consists of 4 tests, no final. There will be a few online homework assignments but they are reasonable and not difficult. Although he didn't require attendance, I always felt it necessary because he would give out random assignments for regular and extra credit (which you usually couldn't make up). There were also regular and extra credit assignments online. Always a good way to bump your grade up a few points.

He is very good at making it obvious what will be on the test during lecture, and his reviews show you exactly what will be on the test, you just have to study the material. Dr. Raye's PSY2012 (General Psychology) class was a great experience. I learned a lot. He clearly explained to us what we needed to know. For the hybrid class, we had a brief assignment to submit each week. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Raye if you're looking for a great psychology professor.

Made class fun with little activities, only 3 papers. 2 are easy 5 pg article reviews that help prepare for the big Survey Project that you'll do in a group. He posts all his power points on canvas and tests are cake you you just study, the book is MANDATORY but a few questions on tests can only be found in the book. Overall great prof.

Good professor. There are group discussions/assignments for every class. They are generally pretty easy and only take a few minutes. He gives great feedback and you will be well prepared for exams from his lectures. The text is suggested but can pass the class without it.

Chris was an excellent teacher. I've never had a professor more clear with their grading criteria and what is on the exams, because he gives out a study guide for the exam many weeks in advance. His papers are easy. He is super accessible through email and his office hours. He once answered my 11pm email within 2 minutes. It was awesome. 10/10

I took this class summer B and I am happy I did. I never used my textbook, I just printed the PowerPoints offline before class and took notes from his lectures. He makes his lectures fun and if you write down good notes then you should be good for his quizzes. We took 6, and he dropped the lowest grade. Its not an easy A, you actually have to work

Dr. Raye was a great teacher. He was caring and helpful and will answer any questions you ask. Many people would say that his tests were hard but he gives you a sheet with all of the key terms on it on canvas. Find those terms in your notes and you study them, you're almost guaranteed an A on the exam. Pay attention in class and it'll be a breeze.

I took general psychology with Professor Raye in half of a summer and even with a condensed schedule, I never felt pressured or overwhelmed. His lectures were very informational and he often incorporated class activities to help us better understand the material. His expectations were very clear and he's one of the nicest profs that I've had at SF!

One of my favorite teacher's by far. His class was very simple if you payed attention and did your work. He give's two extra credit absences and does not make us come to school the wednesday before thanksgiving at all. The weekly assignments are graded easily and as long as you go over the key terms before the test it is simple to get at least a B+

Dr. Raye has definitely became one of my favorite professors at SF. His lectures are clear, he uploads the notes to canvas, the test questions come straight off of his power point so as long as you review the study guide and can answer those questions you'll pass with flying colors. There's only four tests and no final. I highly recommend him!

Professor Raye is my favorite. He has notes on canvas and you go over them in class. He will give examples about the topic in class so if you don't pay attention you will not know anything about that topic.

Dr. Raye is literally the BEST professor I've had in my 3 years of college. Words don't do him justice! I am someone who struggles with hard classes. As long as you make flash cards of the notes and read them over, you'll pass, 100%. He makes the notes, lectures, exams, and activities so easy. Trust me on this, you will absolutely love him.

Professor Raye was my first psych professor at Santa Fe and by far my favorite. His lectures were fun and interesting and his study guides and exams were very straightforward and the assignments were always interesting. Amazing professor.

Professor Raye is a great teacher. He loves what he teaches and loves to engage his students. His lectures are the powerpoints so I usually brought my computer and took notes on Microsoft Powerpoint during his class. I recommend taking him.

He is seriously one of the greatest people you will ever meet and talk to. He does not really care about attendance and it is not graded, but if you do skip, you miss a lot and you will fail. I did not pass the class because I did not study.. at all. USE HIS STUDY GUIDE AND NOTES, I just did not take the class serious. DO NOT BE ME. He is amazing!!

The class overall was very organized and not difficult at all. He knows what he is talking about and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Makes lectures fun to listen to and HW is not hard. Exams were not bad and there were a few papers but they were not too bad either. If you do the work and study for exams you should get an A.

I love Professor Raye. He is very engaging and fun in class, he shows you some very interesting videos and handouts, and he gives great examples to help you understand the material. Professor Raye also posts the notes along with key terms from the reviewed chapters for the upcoming test.

If you follow the key concept sheets and study your notes, there's no doubt this class wouldn't be an easy A for you. Don't skip class because the class discussions are useful! 10/10 recommend.

Great personality, has a sense of humor, wonderful teacher. This class can be an easy A - there's only 1 paper due online each week and he even leaves feedback on what you write. There is a lot of info in class, but he gives you a key concept sheet before each exam that tells you exactly what topics to study so you are prepared and can do well.

Honestly Chris Raye has been one of my best professors at Santa Fe College. His class is interesting and eye-opening. Homework is assigned weekly. Overall a fun class and wish I could take it again

Professor Raye was extremely great at teaching, his study guides for his exams are straight forward. Everything on them is on the exams. Make sure to study hard though, or you'll be sorry.

Dr. Raye is one of the best professor! I took him for PSY2012 and SOP2002. He is very helpful and smart. He really cares about his students success. Easily accessible outside of office hours. I did research with him, and he spent lots of time helping me outside of class. You have online assignments every week, but they are easy! 4 exams. Take him!!

Professor Raye is literally awesome! I hated psychology classes before and was ready to hate another one. Yet, Professor Raye turned my whole perspective around. His class is really easy and set up with a few homework assignments each week, ending with weekly quizzes. Everything is open-note and he provides the lecture slides for your notes.

He gives you all the information you need for the class and homework. He lets you use the power points for quizes but they are pretty straight forward. I really enjoyed this class. I would take any class he taught. The homework allows you to put your opinion or take on what is talked about. He gives great feedback and very responsive to questions.

Attendance is optional but his lectures are great, if you show up and take notes you wont need the book. Also has all his slides on canvas so just print those out and use for notes. Great professor overall and when switched to online bc of COVID the quality didnt drop. Good looking too so take him!

Professor Raye really made learning such a detailed and occasionally difficult subject fun and interesting. He was a great teacher and a really nice and kind person. Don't get me wrong, the material wasn't easy and took focus/dedication, but I still had a great time learning everything I did!!

He's incredibly organized and while there is a lot of information to cover, he manages to keep it interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's highly recommended so you get good notes. He gives examples for everything he teaches and it's incredibly helpful. The quizzes weigh a lot, so be sure to stay on top of your notes and READ THE BOOK!

He gives 6 quizzes and a few homework assignments (youll pass them all). The quizzes are all open note and 25 questions. As long as you take notes in class youll pass because he tells you all the answers while lecturing. He makes the lectures fun and stimulating.

If you need an easy A take this class. Show up to class and take notes and you will have an A in the grade book. Weekly HW and sometimes quizzes. He is a very good professor and if you need to take psychology, take professor Raye.

I took this class for an elective credit. I wasnt sure that this was the class for me until i walked into the classroom. Professor Raye was great and the class was very straightforward. Definitely would take again.

LOVE Professor Raye. Seriously such a good professor. You will have homework's weekly and quizzes every couple of weeks. Optional final exam. He is super accessible and understanding. Best Class

Very easy class, even considering it was a taught in a 6 week semester. If you do all the homework (125pts) and score at least 44/50 on each of the six quizzes (can miss 3 questions) youll get an A. He gives great feedback and his lectures are very immersive. Would take him again if given the option.

Great professor. Cares about his students and his work. Very passionate about Psych. There was a homework assignment every week and a test every other week. No final, no mandatory class. Even though they weren't mandatory I still went to lectures because he is funny and the concepts were interesting. Would def recommend him.

This class is easy as long as you study! He provides notes and his lectures are detailed but straightforward. All of the work for the week is given on Monday and due on Sunday. The homework isnt hard but I didnt really like the test setup that much. 25 questions timed for 30 minutes and spaced out every 2-3 weeks. Make sure you study!!

10/10, I would take this professor again, great lectures and not too test heavy. I think we only had 6 the entire semester and the final is optional. Loved his class and I'm going to miss it.

Chis Raye is an excellent professor who seems to really care about what he is teaching. To be successful in this class all you need to do is show up to class and take notes on the lecture. The PowerPoint's are available on Canvas, but not everything you need to know is on them so be sure to take some notes to fill in the cracks.

I recommend this professor to anyone and everyone. He's AMAZING! 1 chapter to read/take notes on & 1 simple homework assignment per week. Watch his lecture videos (very short) and copy his provided notes down, they're VERY useful! Quizzes are a major part of your grade so study! 25 questions per quiz, 30 minutes to complete, open book/note.

If you stay ahead of the decent amount of work assigned every week, you are gonna do fine. Dr. Raye makes it clear what should be expected and how everything will be graded. Lectures and notes are clear and concise, and if you take notes on both, you'll ace the quizzes every week. Great teacher.

I loved his class and was actually sad it was over. His lectures are good, not tons of hw (very manageable), a quiz about every two weeks. No finals or midterms. Extra credit opportunity's available as well. Material was clear and quizzes were pretty easy. HW was interesting as well.

Professor Raye was great. I don't see how you could fail unless you really do not put in effort towards the quizzes. They are intense as they are timed, but it's open book so as long as you watch his lectures/take notes you will be fine!

Prof.Raye was amazing! I definitely did struggle in this class at first because of the quizzes, but he was happy to help me redeem myself and tell me exactly what I needed to know for future quizzes! His lectures were pretty easy to understand, and he is usually available to answer your questions after class.

Took 6-week online course. Class is only made up of homework and weekly chapter quizzes. Everything is open-book, but tests are timed very short. Late assignments are not allowed, but homework is easy, and if you pay attention to all readings, quizzes are fast. You honestly only have to dedicate 3 hours weekly to keep up (and that's a stretch).

One of my favorite prof at SF! I was always looking forward to going to class. His lectures are fun and memorable. His tests are every 2 weeks and are open book so there's no reason not to pass. He always makes everyone laugh and engages with the students. Just make sure to take lots of notes and you will have lots of fun in his class!

Great professor and all of the quizzes was open notes. Final was optional to replace a unit test, but was fairly easy. Listening to his lectures and reading the PowerPoints is beneficial. You may have to read the book for a couple of questions for the quiz, like a specific detail. Grades and provides feedback on assignments in a timely manner.

Professor Raye is super likable and an amazing teacher, I 100% recommend taking his class. All the quizzes are online and open notes and there is no final exam.

No more than two homework assignments per week, usually, there's only one. He opens them on Monday, and they're due Sunday. There are 7 quizzes, one is an optional final but only six of them count. He will not accept late work under any conditions, which is fair because he gives plenty of time. If you read the notes, you'll get an A.

Prof. Raye is a caring professor who just wants participation with discussions and homework. The quizzes can be difficult if you do not thoroughly watch the lecture videos and take additional notes on his provided PowerPoints. Overall, if you do well on the quizzes you will do great.

Literally the best prof I have ever had. You can tell he actually cares about you as a person and your success. The class is really easy if you pay attention. It's also a very fun and engaging class. I highly recommend him! His lectures are thorough and he answers any questions. There were some pretty easy homework assignments, a quiz every other week, and EC towards the end of the course. He cares for his students and is very personable. Also, the final is optional (You can replace your lowest quiz score if your final quiz grade is higher).

This was the second class I've taken from Professor Raye and I have enjoyed both. I feel as long as you read and do your best to understand the material, he grades very fairly. I found the class to be easy overall.

This class was definitely little effort, though very educational. He is very nice and you can see his passion for this subject. If you attend class as attendance is a grade and put in time throughout the week to complete little assignments, you will have a very easy time. He gives great feedback and is very easy to talk to.

If you read the weekly assigned chapters then you will be fine for the semester. It's critical that you make time for the weekly readings especially if you are taking other classes that are time-consuming with other readings. Dr. Raye is truly one my favorite professors at SF. He cares about your success, what he teaches, and his class is structured very well. There is a lot of reading, but it is all interesting and accessible through the FREE textbook online. There is a final project, but he prepares you well and is helpful along the way. He was great. Very funny and sweet. Very notes heavy so be ready to write notes, but all quizzes are open notes and textbook. I never purchased the textbook and I never needed it. He gave 2 freebee's for missing class, but then the rest of attendance was for a grade.

Professor Raye was awesome! His lecture videos were easy to understand. But, there is a lot of homework. Every week you have at least one discussion post and one short essay due. Sometimes there will also be a 20 question quiz. I get that we had to have more since it's an online course, but it was really inconvenient as a busy person like me.

Professor Raye is a really nice guy and is ready to address personal concerns. His class consists of 2 lectures each week, normally followed by a quiz and open response assignment based on what we learned through the week. He does make you participate in RUE though, so be ready for outside of class time spent on projects.
