Mr. Roddenberry made psychology class very interesting and fun this semester. IF you do all of your assignments,come to class,do your oral presentation,and complete all tests its no way possible you will fail that class. I refer him to anyone taking beginners psy. Great Teacher

tests were kinda hard, but the review sheet practically gives you the answers... Chris is a really cool guy though

he is truly the man... he does what ever he can to help you make the grade that you deserve if you want an A and you're willing to put forth the effort you should make an A in his classes

Chris is the most awesome guy ever!!!! He is always there if you need to talk to him...even if it is not about class related info. He is willing to help you as long as you put forth the effort. The tests can be difficult but if you study you will have no trouble. After you take one class with him you will want to take another!!!

All I can say is.. "HE is the ENERGERIZER BUNNY on SPEED". He is very entertaining but does make it difficult for a student to ask questions. His examines are very tricky. Oh, and when I took his class, he made an error on every exam. So don't be afraid to ask a question if he has a term on the exam that you haven't heard.

First off, if you love psychology already, chris is an AWESOME professor. He LOVES teaching and his class is really fun. He makes you feel welcome from the beginning. Take good notes, study and you will do well. He is very helpful and willing to work with you, he really cares about his students. He is totally hyperactive though. Take notes fast!!!

This is my second time taking a class with Chris and he is still one of my favorite professors at WT! He really makes learning fun (and funny) and is really willing to help his students whenever they need it. I must say 241 was a lot more challenging than 150 though!! TAKE HIM, HES AWESOME!!

One of the best teachers I've had. Very helpful, especially if you visit him during office hours. Tests are a little hard, but as long as you know the study guides and review the material in class you'll be fine. Definitely one of the best teachers on campus!

He's a very nice and fun guy and his lectures are easy to follow. It's possible to get an A if you just try hard enough (review sheets!). The only negative thing that could be said is that he can be pretty disorganized, which makes some of the information given a bit confusing. This is the only negative point though. I definitely recommend him.

First of all, I don't know why he has "hot" ratings, because he's not. haha. But he does have a great personality and he makes the class interesting. There are only 3 tests and 3 assignments in this class, but he always curves the tests and they're really not that hard. This is a fun class. Just make sure you read the book and follow along in class

I enjoyed my summer class with Chris so much that I took a higher level just to have him as a teacher again. He's very passionate about Psychology and can be really funny to talk to if you hang around after class or see him in his office hours. This class is not easy, but he offers ample help if you ask for it. He remains my favorite teacher ever!

This is a very easy class and and he is a good guy to learn from. Hates failing people and the tests are a walk in the park. As long as you do the assignments, you will not fail.

Roddenberry is AWESOME. He's incredibly passionate about psychology, always makes me laugh, and is just a cool guy. You cannot fail his class, and he even tells you so - you just have to do your work. His lectures are great, take notes but he asks test questions about things he only covers briefly, so reinforce with the text. Loved his class!

Lectures were very interesting but be sure to take good notes. No quizzes but 4 small outside class assignments and 4 tests with a non-cumulative final. EXCELLENT CLASS. Easy A...you can not fail!

Dr. Roddenberry is THE MAN! He will help anyone who asks for it and I have never experienced a teacher more willing to go above and beyond for his students. It is the only class I know where students show up willingly 15 minutes early. ROW 2 4eva!

Very good professor. Tests use information straight out of the textbook. Always gives positive, constructive feedback. One caveat: a little vague with instructions at times, but otherwise not too bad. Makes psychology an interesting subject to learn.

Do the homework and you pass the class. Spend an hour or two the days following up to the tests to study and you'll make an A. Best teacher I've had, by far. Hilarious, and knows his stuff.

What a great teacher! I cannot say enough good things about him! He enjoys so helpful and has a cool virtual world where we have an interactive class. He really knows PSY! Take his class and you'll see... The work is spelled out and crystal clear, and actually very enjoyable to complete. HE HAS MY VOTE!

You will pay attention. You will have fun. You will do homework. You will have to study. If you do these simple tasks, you will pass. Chris doesn't care if you pass or fail his class, he doesn't even care about your gps. All he wants to do is make sure you get something out of the class.

I had Mr. Roddenberry this past summer semester. He was definitely one of the best teachers I've EVER had. I had already failed a psychology class before because the professor sucked, but Chris made it interesting enough to where I could learn, and I pulled an A! As long as you study a little and pay attention in class, you will pass and have fun!

Great instructor! I wasn't interested in Psychology, but he made it fun and interesting. Be sure that you are present for class and participation is a must. His tests are kinda' hard, so pay attention to the material. He is heavy into application questions. READ, READ, READ! He does a great job instructing and is easy to approach with any questions

Smart, witty, sarcastic, funny, amazing. Take his class. Great teacher. Sometimes he talks too fast and you might miss some important stuff to write down but it's alright. Just reinforce with the text book and don't be scared to ask questions. He's great to talk to and obviously passionate about PSY. Love that guy.

Online class is not hard to pass, but you need to be able to dedicate 3-4 hours per week for assignments. There is a quiz and writing assignment due every sunday night. Mr.R grades the writing assignments easy as long as criteria is met, and quizzes are easy bc you can use your book. Overall good class, lots of work.

Pretty easy A if you do the work, which isn't hard, and study a little for the test, which he always has study guides for. I would totally take another one of his classes if they weren't all online!!!

This guy is awesome! He really gets into what he's teaching. He's very relaxed, goofy, and kind of dorky. Loves participation from students and always has interesting videos or stories to tell! You still have to study, read the textbook, and take notes, but his grading is very fair! Great class, I'd take it again in a heartbeat!

Great insructor. Online class is definitely an easy A as long as you do the work. He gives clear instruction of what he is looking for on all writing assignments and quizes/tests are covered directly from the book. The way he presents the material is very informative. Great instructor!

Chris is an awesome teacher. He keeps the class interesting with the material, his humor, personal experiences, examples he creates, and his out-there personality. Tests are not too hard, but are definitely more difficult that what I had in Psy-150. Great class, and he will work with you if you put in the effort.

Great professor! The same thing is expected every week: one discussion board and one 40 question quiz. Every other week a short paper is due. Just read the book and you will ace the class! Best part is that there are no tests, just one final exam! Loved this professor!

Professor Roddenberry is fantastic. His tests are hard, but nothing worthwhile in life is easy. He's quite comical and entertaining, which helps get the material understood. My advice would be: study, take good notes, as questions and think outside the box. He loves creativity and to make students think. He really loves his job, and it shows.

Dr. Roddenberry is hilarious. His online class is nothing of the ordinary: that one hour virtual once a week attendance classroom that may be attended instead of the the weekly discussion is really interested and interactive. He is prompt to reply and as long as you get you work done, he is lenient.

Clear and to the point, lenient but not a pushover, and grades all assignments fairly with good feedback. Assignments were all interesting, he engages the class and makes it fun to learn. 1010!

He is a good teacher. If you show up to class and take notes then the test are not to bad. Even though he encourages students to show up everyday and makes attendance mandatory, he does provide one day that will not go against you. He makes class interesting.

The material in this course was very hard for me to follow, but my professor, carried me through. He is very helpful, and really does his job. If you are taking Psychology, this will be the professor to get through. For every 1 hour I spend in other classes, take 4 for this class. It is a lot of work, but totally worth it.

If you take the time to see him during his office hours he will give a 110% effort to help you. with whatever you need. Take advantage of extra credit too.

Dr. Roddenberry has been the best teacher I have had ever since I started college. He gives consistent exams so you know exactly how long you have to study for them. Also gives many opportunities for extra credit and office hours for help with papers or anything you don't understand. He made lectures interesting and very interactive too!

This has been the best professor I have had ever since being in college. You will love his online classes because he has made them to be interactive. What an amazing teacher. Dr. Roddenberry make learning about Psychology fun. He does Wednesday seminars for extra if you take him on line and they are a blast . He is fair with his grading and he will always work with his students when it come to assignments. I wish I could take his class again.

You have to be purely stupid and lazy to fail this class. Do the work and study the quizzes. I overstudied for my mid term to make sure I got nothing lower than a 50 to maintain an A In the class, but ended up getting a 92%. (Midterms 15% of Final Grade) I am in C-STEP for Chapel Hill and I still got an A with a busy schedule, so don't complain.

You can tell he really cares about his students and loves what he does. I had an A all semester but finished with an 89, only he give me an A anyway (without asking) for my hard work through out the semester. Gives chances for extra credit every week and has online webinars for more personal lectures. I highly recommend him, he is great.

Dr. Roddenberry is the best there is. He cares so much and has such vigor and passion in his lectures that you end up just understanding what he teaches from scratch. The workload is really light. 3 deadlines with an exam and a paper on each one. He is clearly the best choice for Gen Psych as well as Personality Psych.

If you get a chance to take Chris's class, please do. He's a great professor and it's an easy A if you listen in class, study your notes from class for exams and do the homework. C. Rod has been my favorite professor thus far, and I took his online class (thanks 'Rona). He is very interactive while being flexible with scheduling. He gives tons of opportunities for extra credit. I never thought that I would like psych this much. I actually learned. I didn't just memorize information! I would 100% take another class of his.

Overall Dr. Roddenberry was an excellent professor. I was dreading my PSY 150 class because thought it would be dull, dry, and boaring. However, Dr. Roddenberry gave life to this course by allowing students to have input and giving us options for extra credit and virtual presence. Throughout, this semester I knew that I was being heard.

He made psychology fun. You can tell he is a professor who really loves his job and cares about his students success. He has his own lecture videos that are very creative. Prof. Roddenberry had great lectures that would keep you intrigued even through some of the more boring material. You can tell he really cares about teaching his students and you can see his love for psychology. Assignments were pretty easy. 1 homework and 1 discussion board a week. No projects/papers and there was a test every few weeks.

Professor Roddenberry is a very great teacher, there is plenty of reading, but he provides chapter lectures and great exam reviews. There isn't a lot of homework; all you have are homework quizzes and collaboration discussion boards, but it isn't time-consuming. He is very accommodating and will email you back fast if you need help with work.

Definitely a solid choice for taking Psych 241! Pretty easy course load if taking additional heavier ones. Offers extra credit and does a great review before each Exam. If you do the work and the reviews, you can easily get an A! My only complaint- no response to email and some assignments had mistakes. Make sure you voice yourself if correct.

He is honestly one of my favorite professors at wake tech. He is very clear and organized with his material. The lecture videos are amazing and helpful. The best professor ever. His lectures and webinars make the class easy. I didn't finish the semester yet to put a grade but whatever the grade is, I learned a lot from him. I already reserved my seat for my next psy class (psy241) with him for the next semester, I had to change my plans just to take it with him. He is just SO AWESOME!

Dr. Roddenberry was very kind! I took his PSY 150 course online and there were optional webinars you could attend for extra credit. Also, the course work does get repetitive but is very easy if you use the PowerPoints. Heads up, this course requires a textbook but everything is on the PowerPoints so I never bought it. (It can also be found online).

Roddenberry's online psychology class was very enjoyable. Every week there were 4, one-hour long lectures and a quiz on the lectures due at the end of the week, and discussion boards most weeks. The class is not too hard if you stay on top of the video lectures. His lectures are enjoyable to listen to and its clear he is passionate about teaching.

Hands down my favorite professor. He is kind, helpful, and fun. Available outside of class. I enjoyed his lectures, though they are not mandatory. The PPT'S had most of the info you need as long as you understand how to apply it. Go to the webinars, they are interactive and fantastic! I thought the book was a waste of money, I rarely used it.

I took Psy 150 and Psy 241 with Dr. Roddenberry; hands down, he is the absolute BEST online professor, he does excellent webinars and YT lives, which are optional, but you get extra credit if you participate. He is very knowledgeable and cares that his students learn and succeed; I can't say enough great things about him; take HIM!!! THE BEST

If you get the chance to take one of his classes, DO IT! I honestly MISS our psych webinars we did every other week. The work was super manageable, homework due on Fridays then choice of doing the discussion board or attending the webinar, both for EC. Live lectures on Youtube that allows questions. I loved Professor Roddenberry! There were a lot of opportunities to receive extra credit. Each week there was a discussion board due and a 10-20 question homework assignment. If you use his slideshows you'll be able to figure out all the answers. It was recommended to buy the textbook, but I truly never used it.

Roddenberry is awesome! I love his lectures,his grading set up is great and I love the subject matter that he is using to teach this class. I will take what I've learned from this course with me everywhere I go. I am midway thru class but I had to get on here to say if you have the chance to take a course that he teaches, do it, you won't regret it

This is the best teacher I have ever had. He made it so you have unlimited retakes on homeworks you just have to get a 95%+ on them, a point system that is easy to understand, and 6 writing assignments, only 4 are needed for an A. Thank you Chris I will never forget your amazing teaching style.

Excellent professor. He's great at explaining concepts and allows unlimited retakes for homework AND THE FINAL EXAM. He provides the textbook although you rarely will need to use it. Dr. Roddenberry was the best teacher I had this summer. The grading system was clear, concise, and repeated multiple times for us to understand. The grading was so lenient as well: You could redo all the homework, writing assignments, and even the final exam. Without a doubt, I would recommend him for PSY-150.

I loved this class so much. He has recorded video lectures on YouTube, a great grading system, amazing communication, and engaging course material. I sadly had to withdraw from all my courses this semester due to health issues, but this class was my favorite!

Professor Roddenberry is such a positive teacher. His classes are entertaining and use lots of examples. The homework is light and manageable. Attendance is 20% of the grade, so be sure to be present. The homework consists of reading followed by 20 questions that are open book. The tests are typically open book as well. Highly recommend!!

Really good and understanding professor. There's a decent amount of work every week with HW and a DB, and also three written assignments and exams. The textbook is free and easy to find. Great professor personality-wise, and very understanding. No really big flaws, would recommend if you need to take psych.

I would definitely take this class again. Mr. Roddenberry keeps his assignments clear and simple. I like that he posts the assignments at the start of the class so you could complete them as quick as you want. There are 2 writing assignments and 3 timed exams. I really enjoyed his 8 week class

Literally the easiest class ever, he WANTS you to succeed and pass his class and he will help you do so, super understanding. He counts db's as attendance :) The power points might be long but they're easy to understand. His tests (besides exam) are open book, but he does a live review session for exams.

probably best psych professor out there, I'm near the end of his 8-week fall '25 online course right now and his class has been very enjoyable. you get 3 total tests, 1 assignment per week, and 1 DB each week, tho for our class you can just join the weekly webinar and skip the DB, which is great cuz he's chill and likes to yap abt psychology. 10/10

I took psych online as a 8 week course, he very understanding and will accept late work. He gives an 100 easily and the tests are what we learned.

This class was pretty straightforward, with an excellent final exam study guide provided with a video going over the study material, which was very helpful. Overall, amazing class!
