Alright this guy is the real deal- he's the host with the most. Having a 720 class is never fun, and although it wasn't a wringling brothers circus with him every other morning, however our math class had fun AND we learned! Can you beleive it?! Fun and learning wooo!!! Really though, hes a cool guy and a cool teacher.

He explains everything very well and there are no surprises on the tests/quizzes. It's all examples you've done before in class or for homework, just with different numbers. Very easy if you pay attention and ask him questions. He offers plenty of extra help. And he's funny! Great class.

This man is awesome, he's so nice and helpful. He makes math (my personal worst subject) seem ridiculously simple and easy. I wish I could just have him for all of my math credits but he usually only teaches noncredit remedials. If you get him feel lucky, he's one of the best profs i've had at nassau so far.

I looked him up on this site prior to taking the 002 class and I am so glad I did. I was so nervous about the exit exam but passed because he encouraged his students all the time and taught until the class understood every concept. He made being in an almost two hour math class worth it every tues and thurs morning. Thankyou Prof Roethel!

Very good teacher! He taught me everything I needed for my Math 109 class. He worries about his students and helps them out on anything they need. I absolutely recommend him!

He is frigging awesome! I love this teacher! I hated math prior to coming to this class and I was dreading it to be honest but he makes math so clear and so comprehensible it's ridiculous! Professor Roethel, is by far the BEST teacher i've had at nassau so far. He is always there to help & explain things that you don't understand and his tests are quite easy if you STUDY! otherwise he's a GREAT guy & he's FUNNY too! The class was worthwhile, he evens tells funny stories. I'll miss him when the semester ends :)

I had professor Roethel for MAT 002 and once again he is a great professor. Ironically I didn't like math and he made math become one of my most interesting classes to go to. The test aren't that bad just study and go to extra help classes as much as possible b/c it helps in improving your understanding of the material. I Highly recommend him.

What stood out to me about this teacher, is he is extremely patient. Doesn't mind a sleeper, or a cell phone ring. He wants to helps you pass, and helps you prepare for tests. Take him, he will find a new way to explain the problem every time he is asked. Very easy to take notes from his lecture.

I love this man!!! I've always been terrible in math and thanks to him I passed my exit exam with a 96! One of the best professors I have ever had. If you get the chance to take his class do it! He gets off topic a lot but he's always willing to help and is really sweet. He wants all his students to do well.

Gives a review sheet before EVERY test including the final! Material came easy because he really baby's you. Want an A and 4 credits you should totally take this course.

One of the best, most caring, and most patient professors I've had! I'm so glad I decided to take his class even tho it was a REALLY early class. Never really had any homework with him, but I still learned so much (esp. thru his test review sheets). He likes to crack the occasional jokes and is sincerely a great guy!

You are not just a number to this professor. And "help will always be given to those who ask for it."

I was always bad at math until his class. He does problems over and over until you fully understand. He doesn't assign homework unless you want it for your personal benefit. He gives review sheets for his few tests. Hes so caring and helpful, I would take his class again.

3 tests made up this course, I'm so glad I took this class, I've had to withdraw from at least 3 previous math courses before this and now I can finally meet my required credits for math thanks to this man, he is excellent, very kind and takes his time with teaching you the material and makes sure you understand.

Let me start by saying that this semester started off with so many days off because of the weather and Professor Roethel took the most important topics to teach us. He is so helpful and will help until you get it. For tests we were able to have a formula cheat sheet. Just show up to class and you'll get it.

He's a great professor, I take him for all my math courses and I understand him clearly. Gives good examples, he won't move on until he knows everyone gets it. Answers all questions. Tests are easy if you pay attention. All hands down best professor ever. Knows what he's doing. You don't even need to read the rest of the comments, JUST TAKE HIM!!!

I was terrible at math all my life, I withdrew from math classes in Nassau, Professor Roethel is the kindest person I met, I have an A average in his class, I never had an average like that in any math class before, he is super helpful and the material is very easy.

Professor Roethel is a great math professor. Pay attention in class, don't be absent, do his exam review sheets about 2-3 times and you'll get an easy A in his class. He assigns homework but will not collect them and will only review them if you ask him about it. This is college. You get what you put in.

He is a really nice professor. If you get late in class he does not get mad at you just need to explain a valid reason. I e-mail him to come 20mins early and my class starts at 7.20am to help me clear my doubts and he came to help me out. I would really recommend this teacher to take for math class. I would love to take him for my next class too.

I love this professor. He's loved by all the students. He's also handsome as well!! 3 exams that's it!! He only grades your exam now nothing else. He's caring enjoys teaching you statistics and makes it simple. I was never good in math and was in remedial oo1 and oo2 math. But I fell in love with statistics. recommend his class, he ask you to purchase the textbook but I promise you, youlol be wasting your money being that ALL his test question and study guide is based on what he writes on the board. If you review your notes its an easy A or B. test are not hard and not many questions. Highly recommend. He teach you to understand.

Professor Roethel has a spark of kindness about him, halarious, and inspirational. He understands how to handle tough courses through not drowning you, but taking things step by step. My reccomendation is to thoroughly learn the textbook in order to excel on his tests.

Profesor Roethel is a great professor!! He gives you the bare minimum and dosent drown you in work. He chooses topics that you can absorb, he understands people are busy balancing between school and their jobs. His exams are short nothing crazy, just study on the side he dosent give homework but you will feel so grateful when it comes to exam time!

My favorite professor. Professor Roethel is so caring and truly invests his time and thought in you. I took him for Math003 and he helped me pass into credit where I then took him for Intro to Stats. Hes hands down the best they come. I wish I could take him again ! He truly will be missed.

Professor Roethel is a great, even though his class is length, he does allow you to have a break in between. He loves to crack a few jokes during his lessons to make class less boring. The Material is tough but he gives great explanations and knows how to teach. He goes over material again if needed, don't hesitate to ask questions!

I had taken Professor Roethel my first year at Nassau. He is one of the kindest, most caring professors I've had. He aims to really help his students pass. He was never the type of teacher to try to scare you into passing. He gave me the confidence to pass and would reassure me whenever I doubted myself. Overall, he is a wonderful individua1, 10/10

Prof. Roethel is one of those teachers who don't just teach the material to teach it. He cares about his students he's very nice and just a great person in general. In regards to his material for the class it's not hard as long as you follow along and ask questions. He also gives extra credit opportunities to succeed in his class. HIGHLY recommend

INCREDIBLE. Math was always a tough subject for me, so college math was a real nailbiter for me, but somehow, he made it easy and bearable! Understood the material thoroughly, and goes back if somebody has trouble. Entertaining, and absolutely cares about each and every one of his students. Requires camera. If you're considering taking him, DO IT!

He explains math so well that you don't ever have to ask questions after but even if you do have questions he doesn't mind going over them until you understand it. When reviewing for exams just make sure to have a specific question from a topic. Make sure to study for exams!

I took this class with other professors 4 times prior and he was the only one who explained what he was teaching slowly and if you had any questions never made you feel dumb. TAKE HIS CLASS!

So happy I got him as my math professor. I wouldnt have passed math if he wasnt. Only flaw is he is softly spoken and sometimes hard to hear. BUT hes the best. Little to no homework, and easy class overall. Final grade is just all your grades divided by the amount of tests taken. B+ in the class.

He is a great professor. Problems on class ara way harder than the ones on the test. There is no homework. All you have to do is pay attention and practice on your own. If you do not study on your own you won't pass. I mean is MATH of course you must.

He is the most genuine teacher I've had and he teaches well. He's flexible and does what's best for students like moving test dates around. Sit up front because he speaks soft. No homework and gives so much extra credit just for doing problems on the board. We threw him a surprise bday party bc we all love him. I can't say enough good things!
