Slogar is an excellent teacher who makes the subject at hand more interesting to learn. You can tell that he is passionate about art history. The class demands 2 midterms, a final, 2 trips to a museum along with a paper. Effort is necessary to get a good grade in the class because there's no hw to base grades on.

His lecture sure is boring but not much u can do to make art history too interesting. I like him bc he is an easy grader. He gives u the image list for each test. All u have to do is study the images on the list and u'll do fine! I didn't read the text and I still got A's on midterms. AND he grades on a curve. How awesome is he? 3 tests, 1 paper.

This was my first in person college class and I'm so glad it went the way it did. Professor Slogar is a nice guy who has a passion for art. There's 2 tests and a final. Just listen to his lectures and study his study guide, you'll definitely get an A. There's 2 writing assignments and he lets you be yourself in them. I really recommend taking him.

Prof. Slogar is a genuinely a caring professor who clearly is passionate about art history. As long as you pay attention to his lectures, take good notes, and study, you should be able to pass this class just fine. Expect 2 papers, 2 midterm exams, and a final. However, a personal advice: Don't take this class if you have no interest in the topics

Slogar is a decent professor. He only has pictures in his powerpoints, so all of the info is spoken word. He doesn't update the gradebook until the end of the semester, so you never know your grade. This class was supposed to be hybrid, but he only had 1 class that was asynchronous. As long as you use the study guides, you'll pass.

He is very passionate in his lectures, so attend as many as you can. The book is good to have if you need to catch up on the material, though I never needed to use it. He'll take time out of office hours to speak to you if needed. There's two very short essays, and not much else. I would reccommend taking this class if you need C.1 or "C.4" credit.

Truly one of the best professors I've had in a while. Lectures felt long, but his way of going about each topic and piece makes class doable. He did lectures by using photo slides and talking about each slide. His tests are well organized, he gives a study guide beforehand, and sometimes includes pictures of his dog to relieve stress. Great prof.

Prof. Slogar is very passionate about art history so his lectures were generally not boring. The reading is on the heavier side but everything he tests on is what he talks about in class. The papers required are pretty easy in terms of what is expected. Make flash cards for sure with photos for the exams and set aside plenty of time studying!

Great guy, his exams are very easy, you take 2 or 3 I don't really remember, if you're not great at attendance, attend the review lecture, all the info you need is in that lecture. If you need to take notes you may find it a lot. He had 2 "papers" tiny things I wrote far too much on, his homework was reading, I didn't need it, made good review tho.

My favorite class this semester. Slogar is so passionate about what he teaches. He doesn't post his slides online or put text on his slides so you do need to listen, but the stories he tells are interesting and his exams are very fair. He always has in-class exam review to cover everything he is testing on. I never read the textbook. Take him!

Favorite professor this semester! Class is a handful of papers graded by completion and 3 exams. Class is lecture heavy and attendance is mandatory but his passion for the material and sense of humor make up for it. He's hilarious and very knowledgeable, you'll actually learn a lot in this class. As long as you show up and study its an easy A.

This class was not bad! I would take this again but do many things differently. If you are a visual learner it will be hard to take notes, let alone take this class. I recommend a discord for everyone if someone is good at notes to send to everyone. He teaches by showing a picture and talks heavily about the information, so you must listen well.

He's a great teacher but his teaching style was way too old school for me (this comes from a personal preference, sorry). He was super funny in class and tried to make it interesting for us. Great professor, every class there is a engaging lecture about a time in history and the artwork during that era. There is no homework, but make sure to take good notes and review after each lecture to do good on the exams. There are 2 midterm exams + 1 final, they are multiple choice on scantron. There is also one paper which is straightforward.

Prof does have a monotone voice however it isn't as bad as people say. Very clear on what's going to be on the exam and even points it out a couple times while lecturing.
