Smith was a great professor (and guy) to have for HTH100 since he has such a long background in athletics as an athletic trainer. The class was very lecture heavy- but they are all slides that get posted on canvas (the best) and he's easy to follow along with. Very personal guy. Few assignments but heavy weights overall. If you enjoy having a large amount of chapter material stuffed into huge, quick lectures every class with difficult 75-question tests every two weeks, then this is your class. Even if you get full credit on the four wellness passports and the personal wellness logs, it has a very minimal effect on your grade due to the heavy emphasis on the tests.

He's a pretty cool guy but as a professor is a tad lackluster. Lecture every class all class and is not made very interesting. get ready to study your life away just to get a 78% on each test. Tests cover at least 4-5 chapters that are loaded with information (60 slides). Then if you think that's bad you have 30 minutes to get a 75 question test done, and it be NOTHING YOU STUDIED!!! show up to class even if you do anything other than listen, attendance is heavily weighted

If you're not religious pick a religion and pray. This class was a gen-ed and it felt like I was a nursing student because of how he teaches. He would read off HEAVY slides and talk about himself, so save yourself. ALSO, EVERY TEST was 75 questions for 30 minutes and I swear everyone struggled with that. I'll forever be traumatized.

Professor was very good with communication throughout this course. As well, gave great feedback on all assignments and felt I knew what I did well and what to improve on to do better for future assignments. Would take this professor again.

His tests are 75 questions in 30 minutes. He gives no quizzes and no study guide unlike the other teachers. He is so OD abt late work like even if you have such a valid excuse he needs so much proof. There are sooo many easier professors and this is coming from a nursing major who takes hard classes.

A LOT of lowkey dense material is covered during class/on tests which usually cover a total 150-200 slides. Participation is also important.

Chill guy but the lectures are sooooooo boring. Also says he only checks attendance rarely but realistically he has an attendance check almost every class. Tests are 75 questions and you only have 30 mins. Pretty bad class I would try and take someone else.

Take him if you can for 150! His lectures can be boring sometimes but he connects his own stories w/ them which make it engaging. Assignments are not that bad and has clear instructions/rubric. Very responsive to emails. A few in class assignments to be ware of tho.

Not a very hard class, but definitely a boring one. 4 tests that are worth 75 points and you have 30 minutes to complete them. As long as you study for the tests which are a huge part of the grade, you will be fine.

Good, fun lecturer. Easy to follow along. Few group projects throughout the semester but not the worst. Very few exams and 5 question quizzes. Show up, there are some in class assignments.

I personally thought his lectures were boring, and he made a 100 level class more difficult than it needed to be. You have 3, 75 question test that are limited to 30 minutes. Also the test are kinda tricky and most times included topics that were not emphasized in class. If possible I would take someone else for HTH100.

75 questions in 30 minutes, insane amount of bites which he reads through really fast. Not many assignments in the gradebook other than tests. Would NOT recommend.

Great Professor. Content is boring but he makes it fun. Aced both exams without studying, if you are in other health classes and a bio lab, you will be perfectly fine. No final. Attendance is not mandatory, however, he gives out a few random in class assignments. I would recommend going because he shares his connections to shadowing/internships.

Take any other professor. He seems like he is a good person outside of the classroom but as a teacher he is extremely rude. He is not understanding at all. He lectures for 75 minutes and not even sure if he knows what he's teaching half the time. It is helpful for me as a nursing major but if you're not a science major, prayers up!

He's a fine professor, the class is heavily graded based on the tests, which have 75 questions to be completed in 30 minutes. Which makes getting an A in this class difficult, overall an average health class.

75 question tests and you have the last 30 minutes of class to complete them. Notes were about 70 slides and during class professor Smith went through the slides way too fast. First time in my life where I ended a class with a C. This class was so stressful and as a Gen-ed it shouldn't.

DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO STAY SANE! His tests are 75 questions in 30 min and literally nothing like the slides we learn from. He does a poll everywhere, almost every class, so you need to show up. Makes an easy gen ed so painful. HE NEEDS TO BE BETTER OR GET FIRED!
