Great Professor. I would taken him again and again if I could. As someone said previously, I'm math retarded, and he is more than willing to cover material until the entire class understands. I would recommend him for anything!

He is the best math teacher I have ever had in my life!!! I have never made above a C in any math and I made an A in Stats. He is very clear and explains things a couple different ways in case you don't catch it the first time. His test reviews leave nothing to the imagination. He NEVER EVER makes you feel dumb if you don't know something.

Mr. Turner is great! I was scard to take this class, because I suck in math....but turned out to be a great class. Wish I knew about him before I took other math classes, because I would have taken him every time. PJC math departments best keep secret!!! Test are so fair/ and gives you a study sheet before all test! Test are just like study sheet!

Mr. Turner explains the topic very well and makes it perfectly clear to understand. He will explain a topic a couple of different ways to make sure each student gets it. His tests aer very fair and the study guides set you up for the test. Asking questions does not irritate him! By far, Mr. Turner is the best math professor I have ever had!

VERY VERY Good! He is always willing tohelp and he treats you like a friend (well...almost) He always makes sure the class understands what he teaches, give ample time for questions. Only minus (very very minor minus, mind you) is that he runs overtime some days, but are few and far between.

If you are afraid of Statistics and are putting it off until the end (like I did), do I have good news for you....Chris Turner! He doesn't rush through the information; he delivers it in bite-sized pieces and gives you plenty of time to digest. Reviews are wonderful and set you up perfectly to take the test. Not an easy A, but very possible.

I had him in Fall 05 & will be taking him in Spring 06. Next to Falzone, Mr. Turner is the BEST math instructor at PJC!! you HAVE to take this guy- he is sooooo EASY!!! :) :)

By far, Mr. Turner is the best math instructor at PJC. If you stink at math, or are just plain afraid. Chris Turner's classes are for you. Very clear, open-door policy, very mellow and laid back, very personable. Don't worry about doing the homework, he doesn't check it.

He is by far the only math teacher I have ever had that can make it interesting. You will learn much and probably enjoy his class. He is very easy going, very available to help, and will bend over backward. Take anything he teaches.

Mr Turner is great teacher. He explains things very well and gives excellent reviews for the tests and if you have any questions is always available for help. If you go to class, pay attention- espicially on review days youll easily make 100's on the tests.

He's an ok teacher. He's an easy grader and he does have good examples. If you answer all homework questions you get a hundred (you don't have to get them right). However, he gets his classes mixed up, he messes up on example problems and he only gave us one test back on the day he had promised to have them graded by. Kind of incompetent.

Best math instructor at PJC! I took Stats and Algebra ove rthe summer with turner and made and A in both classes. He's very helpful and always willing to work with you. Great test reviews, gives credit for work shown on test. Would take him for every math class I need, if he taught then all.

He keeps things simple and has a review before each test. Teaches the fundamentals and has a great sense of humor. I recommend him for any math you have to take.

Mr. Turner is a great teacher who, through his down to earth personality, actually keeps your attention while he explains statistics. Very fair with grading and also helpful after class for any extra questions you might have. Take him or Bloxom if you actually want to LEARN some Math.

He is a really good teacher. No math is fun, but he does not make you fall asleep like some other teachers I know. He is really nice guy. The class is easy as long as you do the home work on MATH XL. Do not delay on the home work it will make or break you.

I had Turner for College Algebra and he is THE ONE to take if you are NOT good in math. He takes time to explain and will meet you during office hours and make sure that you know this stuff. He makes math fun, yes, it's possible! What a great math teacher! He is awesome and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him. DO THE MATHXL, it can be that xtra you need!!!

I took him for Interm. Algebra. DO NOT buy the book you wont need it at all. he uses mymathlab which is around $65 and your only required to get 75% on each section on the homework!! he gives plenty of examples for you to understand the material! i cant wait to take him for Stats over the summer!

i liked this class. it was super easy, i never did my homework & i did fine. He's funny in a ...funny way. his examples are humorous...sometimes he makes things too complicated but at least it was easy. take it if you need an easy math.

Literally, a ROCK-awesome teacher!! Explains difficult concepts wonderfully. Uses lots of examples. Very helpful and kind and caring. Has a sense of humor. Easy to talk to to. I took him for both College Algebra and Statistics. He's one of the best math teachers I've had and I'm actually confident about doing my homework, which has NEVER happened before. I'd recommend him for anyone. AWESOME teacher!

I had Mr. Turner for intermediate and College algebra. I took both courses over the summer. He was a great teacher with some neat math tricks. The only downfall with him was that he was to fast at times. I couldnt keep up so I had to learn that material on my own. But Mr. Turner is a fair grader and I will continue to take his classes.

The best math teacher! Take him if you feel lost in math. He is very upbeat, I had him for a 3 hour monday night class. Not that it was fun doing math for 3 hours but he is very easy to understand and grades EXTREMLY fair. He gives points after points for almost anything. Relates material very well.

Mr. Turner is an amazing math teacher. I failed college algebra twice and have withdrawn once until I found him. I actually passed with a B+. I needed one more math to graduate and you can bet I drove from alabama twice a week just to have his math class. He can actually make it understandable and applicable. I highly recommend him.

Thank God I had this teacher! He is incredibly awesome. He will help you with anything and will answer personal e-mails over math questions. He goes over the tests and gives out practice worksheets prior to the test. Great sense of humor, and has clean language.

I have had Mr. Turner for 2 semsters and 3 classed from Pre-Algebra to Statistics. He is a very good teacher, explains things in depth and makes sure you understand the concepts. He will also review before the test, gives minimal quizzed - which substitute as a homework grade, and gives partial credit on tests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I wouldn't say this class was easy but I do believe that Mr.Turner makes it as easy as it can possibly be. I DO NOT recommend the 6 week class! Material is rushed & it was overwhelming taking tests back to back! He lectures (rambles) right up until the last minute which often drove me crazy but overall AWESOME TEACHER! & seems like a great guy too!

This class was SO easy. If you understand math even a little bit, you will skate through this class. That being said, if you have interest in advancing in math I would take a different teacher. I didn't really need to learn the material to ace the class. But if Algebra is as high as you need to go I would HIGHLY RECCOMEND.

He's a smart dude who knows how to relate math to minds like mine that don't catch on to it easily and is patient and courteous to students when they need more explanations. I enjoyed my classes with Mr. Turner due to his willingness to make the material easy to understand in a very short time frame(6 wk). Although the stress was difficult to deal with I did get through with very high grades. I would highly recommend this professor if you're not that good with algebra and higher level math. Take it in regular semester.

Great teacher! He is very laid back and on all but the first test he let us use the text and a 3X5 index card, even on the final! He drops the lowest test and the lowest quiz. For quiz's he let us talk to classmates for help and use class notes. No homework is due, thus the reason for quiz's, told us to do some odd problems from text for practice.

After reviewing most of the views you can see Mr. Turner is a good teacher. His tests tend to be a little harder than his reviews. Would I take him again...Yes

He takes dry information and relates it to the real world. He also provides many examples and does not mind questions.

Somehow, Mr. Turner was able to bring to life something as mundane and boring as Statistics. This brings me to the conclusion that he's not only a wonderful professor, but a magician as well. One could easily make an A in his class, however you will have to do your part. He does give the tools, so the probability is high. I recommend him.

Mr. Turner is patient and kind and will do just about anything to ensure you understand the material he is covering. He is also very down to earth. He uses every minutes of class time and gives you plenty of opportunities for note taking, lots of examples! I think he is also very flexible with grading. I highly recommend him for ANY math class.

I was not looking forward to Statistics, but Mr. Turner made it easy to understand..walks you through how to use the calculator and also gives good reviews before exams. I highly recommend him to anyone that is taking a math class. I also took him for intermediate algebra and he explained things so well!

Outstanding instructor. He explains the course content very well. He is also very good at one on one explanations if you're having trouble grasping any part of the material. His teaching methods are very organized. I actually enjoyed his class well enough, I tried to set-up my next term around his class schedule, so I could have him 4 my next math.

Statistics is one of those subjects where you have to have a teacher that explains things well to understand the material. Turner breaks things down step by step and is very clear. He does examples all day in class for you and his tests are just like what you do in class. I would take him for every math class if I could!

He's a cool guy. Class is structured really well. We did a lesson or two a day and a test review was assigned the day before the test. He was great with answering questions and was clear about what we needed to know for the exams. Definitely easier than I had expected, and we never covered anything that I did't already know from high school math.

I absolutely HATE math, mostly because I had never had a good teacher up until this class. I've always struggled to understand math, but he made statistics crystal clear for me. He gives so many real life examples and somehow just knows how to make things "click." He does not water anything down but it's just so much easier when he teaches it.

Best math teacher I've ever had! I had to take two developmental math classes to even enter his college algebra, getting C's in both, yet I got an A in his class. Very detailed in his lectures. Take good notes and you'll be golden. Tells you whats going to be on the tests, and reviews material beforehand if you have questions.

Cal 2 is naturally a hard class, but I wouldn't have wanted to take it with any other instructor. LOVE Mr. Turner's teaching style. Do your homework and follow his review and you should be okay. Best math teacher at any PSC campus hands down

I absolutely love Mr. Turner! This is the third class I have taken with him. I have a really hard time with math but he makes it easy. Be prepared to do homework it counts as quiz grade. If you show up, take notes and do your homework you will get an A. He is an easy grader if you make an attempt he will automatically give you half credit.

Mr. Turner was an awesome teacher! He made math fun and interesting. You dont need to go to every class as long as you are there for the tests, but it is in your best interest to be there for all of them. He takes the notes that he took from class and uploads them so we can review them whenever we want. He also gives extra credit which is nice.

Turner was a great professor who helped me pass algebra. You will need to work in this class. There isn't much room for extra credit besides what is on tests. Homework isn't necessary to turn in but is recommended. Lectures are long but provides very great ways of explaining math. Down to earth. Provided us with lecture notes on Canvas.

I took him for Trig and precalc during two 6 week summer classes. Got a B+ in precalc and an A in trig. He drops the lowest grade out of 4 tests, and has a cumulative final. Tests have extra credit. His quizzes are take home and given out of the book and the answers are uploaded online so there's no way to fail the quizzes. No mandatory homework.

He is fair in grading but a great teacher, he will help if you ask.

Professor Turner was great. He puts a lot of real-life application problems into his notes, which nicely sums up the benefit of learning the material. His extra credit shows up on nearly every test, and is typically not math-based, which is a pick-me-up if you struggled in the section being tested. Very approachable for questions in & out of class!

This class was setup as a live-online course. The lectures are accessible after class on canvas along with notes. Only homework is reading the textbook. Quizzes (take-home) are chapter reviews from the textbook. Only 4 tests and your lowest test grade is removed at the end of the semester. All tests are open-book. Highly recommend Prof Turner.

Professor Turner made Calc 2 much more understandable than expected. Take home quizzes look similar to tests, and he makes lots of jokes and funny references related to math in lecture. I would highly recommend!

He uses every bit of class time possible providing notes that are color coded and organized. He is funny, patient, and provides so many helpful homework assignments and chances to improve grades. I have always had a hard time in math, but Mr. Turner made it very easy this semester.

If you don't pass his class, its because you didn't try. He gives partial credit on test if you show your work and it appears you know what your doing, just somewhere in the process messed up and came up with the wrong answer. He grades on 4 test and the final. The 4th test is a take home. He provides good reviews prior to test date. Great teacher.

He's super chill and easy-going. He teaches the material that is needed for the course, and doesn't bombard you with extra information. The homework given is basically prep for the tests. Majority of the test are multiple choice and always have a extra credit question that's mainly just for completion.
