cool guy with an odd approach in teaching. One thing i can tell you is that the whole class ends up getting to know each other pretty well. pretty creative

He's the best teacher I ever had. Loved both his classes, enrolled in one for next semester.

He is the best teacher I've had yet. He does a lot of "hands on" work with us which, i believe, gets us more into it. He also lets us interact with one another instead of him just lecturing us. Very creative, good way of teacher.

Great professor! He makes things easy to understand. He uses class involvement alot, which makes the class not boring. Grading is alright and fair. You will have to write alot though. We had 2 in-class essays and 5 (easy) papers. Great guy! Take him, you wont regret it!

He is very clear, easy going.He is also funny.

He is funny, sarcastic teacher. He is very easy, and the essays are clear.I had fun in this class. There is a grammar test and then a grammar final aned about 6 essays. You will love him.

Mr. Twiggs was a good teacher but when he says he gives you extra credit don't believe him bc he told my class to go to a photoshoot and I did and he never gave us the extra credit bc if he did i would have gotten an "A" instead of a "B". But overall he was an excellent teacher!! Thanks Mr.Twiggs!!!

If you are not good at writing essays and grammar then do not take this class.I did not learn anything in this class. I will say that he does respond quickly to emails but that is about it.

He's amazing! Very laid-back and likable. He's funny and really respects the students. The class is mostly turning in assignments - you don't learn a whole lot of new stuff - but he makes it FUN. He encourages class participation so by the end of the term you meet new people. If you want to ENJOY enc1101, TAKE HIM. :)

I had him for ENC1101 and enjoyed the experience, so I took him again for ENC1102 and wasn't dissapointed! He's a very good professor who will tell you where your periods and commas belong without being ugly about it.

Prof. twiggs is so FUN!!! we did learn alot about Mt. Everest, and yes, we wrote a few essays, but his class is soooooo easy!!!! we worked in groups on a weekly basis, and he is very prompt about getting your grades back. i took him last semester and got an A!!!! he also gives extra credit opportunities!!!

Great online class. Prof Twiggs was very prompt to return emails. Format was 2 short papers, 1 research paper and weekly discussion board questions, bi-weekly quizzes straight out of Newsweek. He was easy to work with and accepted some late work.

He's a really fun guy, you can just tell he loves life. He wants to help with whatever you need help with, take him if you want to learn something and enjoy class.

He is the best! I bought the text book and never opened it so I wouldn't suggest buying one. But he is so easy, and his classes are actually kind of fun. He is kinda hot too.

Super easy class. I took it online and it was my easiest online class to date. You have to write about 2 papers then a research paper at the end. There is 1 quiz every week. Make sure you participate in the discussion boards. I reccomend this teacher for this class. I hate all English classes but, I got an A.

He was a very good professor. The assignments were not hard at all. You just have to keep up with the discussion boards. He did take a long time to grade the papers and was late in posting his next assignments(Tests), but overall, his class was very easy. I particularly liked that we did not need to buy a book and only used his blog. The blog

Very good Prof. Works with you on assignments, wants you to learn Enc, just not take the class. Uses non-fiction writings in a non-fictions writing class. Flexable with deadlines if asked.

Great teacher. boring topics though. we "learned" about everest the entire time and had to write 4-5 papers about everest. and read 2 books on everest... too much everest for me. but it was an fun class and the final research paper was fun (pick your own topic)

amazing teacher...has a real passion for teaching. will work one on one with students, goes into depth of how to write essays, just show up to his class, has great discussions..reminds me of the english teahcer keating in dead poets society

hes funny and makes imteresting slide shows and teaches you well. but a tough grader so pay attention in class!

If you are hesitant at all about ENC1102, Professor Twiggs is a true educator. He makes one feel welcome, comfortable,and encouraged. Which in turn allows you to enjoy the class and actual learn in the process. He is an excellent instructor and his class was very enjoyable.

Do your work well, turn assignments in on time, you will get an A. Turn in your work a month late, do a half-@ssed job, get a B. His class is a GPA booster, if you are not great at English and need a good grade, this is the professor for you. If you actually want to learn something for your tuition dollars, that is another matter entirely.

Real good class. Not hard just do the work and you will pass. Not a hard teacher at all. Very fun class.

There's no textbook to buy. Instead, he uses articles from his blog for discussions and paper topics, which are very interesting. I took this class with a different professor and the textbook was extremely boring. I took Twiggs' class online and earned an A. MLA guideline he gives is very useful for papers. Do the work and an A is obtainable.

Based on what I read here, I thought this teacher would be easy. NOT!! I don't want to follow anyone on Twitter and it should not be part of the course. And having to take quizzes on his blog was a pain. What he calls interesting is his opinion, certainly not mine. The final research paper was a nightmare!

This guy is awesome! No professor has ever helped me as much as Prof Twiggs has assisted me. He is more than accommodating, if you fail, you are a complete idiot. Do you work, show up, and have a blast. Great Professor!

Twiggs has been great to me for two semesters now, and I wish he taught more classes there. Even after I'm done with his class, he still helps me with anything I need, even papers for other classes. If you want to learn to be a better writer, take Twiggs. If you're trying to skip by and plagiarize, skip over and let someone else have your spot.

Syllabus is a little hard to follow as it is done in 3 week increments, not weekly. Takes about 2 days to answer Emails for online class. Homework is easy though. Lots of writing. Make sure you are on point with your writings for the timed writing. NO GROUP PROJECT for online class! The book required is really small and should be cheap.

Twiggs is by far the best English teacher I've ever had! I thought he was a funny guy and his lectures were very clear on what he wants. There is a lot of writing but you pick your best two essays for him to grade, a mandatory description and process essay/presentation, and a grammar midterm and final.

Mostly this class used blogs for quizes as well as discussion board posts. There were three papers there were graded pretty tough, as well as two midterm essays that were timed.

I found him very helpful and interesting. It was an online class. He corresponed with us and was accessible.

I took him for enc1101 online. It's not an easy course... But as long as you complete the assignments and stay on time and don't get behind you will do fine. He is really good at responding to questions.

you will write a lot of papers in 1101 with Prof Twiggs but he is really fair and keeps your attention during class. He helps you improve your papers so as long as you do the work you should get the grade you want!

The online class was great. All you need to do was stay on target with the class. The material was clear and if more clarity was needed right away, he was just a phone call away. The essays was mainly about life experiences which was easy to write. At the end of the semester he gave everyone the opportunity to make a better grade. Great Prof.!!

I can only speak for myself. Professor Twiggs was awesome. I knew nothing about essay's and practice make prefect. I know how to right an essay thanks to all the writing in his English class. Any time I email Professor Twiggs I received an answer back immediately. I will recommend this online class. You must apply yourself. I enjoyed his class.

Took his course online, nice professor, English isn't my fav subject - I didn't love it anymore after his class but his course is certainly passable.

A seriously nice guy, and a pretty good professor. He's super helpful and tries to make sure you get the best grade possible. He's a bit slower grading papers, but he always responded to my emails within 24 hours. Really, his class was an Easy A as long as you turn in decent work. He's not harsh with grading.

Very good instructor. He always responds to emails in 24 hrs n he is very helpful. What he wants u 2 do is 1. do the work & 2.participate in the discussions by using outside sources. He also wants 2 hear YOUR opinion on the selected readings! He prefers passion to rote memorization. Dont miss ur apt 4 1st essay or u'll have 2 go way out 2 Deerwood!

I am not strong in English, therefore this was not a class I looked forward to especially ONLNE. But, this Prof is awesome and made the class enjoyable. I think it's the first time I actually learned something in an English class. I strongly suggest him, may be slow to respond, but still awesome!

I had Professor Twiggs this fall and he has been the best teacher I've had so far at FSCJ. I am a junior in high school, taking duel enrollment, and at first I felt kinda scared and out-of-place at college. But Mr. Twiggs made me fit kin and feel welcomed. Defiantly recommend taking him !

I absolutely LOVE Mr. Twiggs! I took his ENC1101 in Fall or 2019, and let me tell you I could not have gotten any luckier with him. As a freshman he made me feel respected, and that my work was what I made it. I reccomend him heavily! I will also be taking his ENC1102 here in Spring term 2020.

Professor Twigg's class is a great choice! There is no text-book required! This class taught me how to write better essays, he may seem harsh on grading, but it helps you improve your writing. There will be meetings you have to attend depending on your schedule; if you miss out on a few it will reflect on your grade; as well as a project.

Professor Twiggs was absolutely great. The only assignments were essays and attendance. The prompts for the essays were very interesting and open-ended, so you could really be creative! He was very easy going and passionate. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

Gave extra credit for above-and-beyond discussion board posts. Only got A's on essays I spent multiple days writing. Quizzes are tough and based on what you get wrong in the module. Use Purdue OWL and YouTube for sample essays, not the samples he provides. Don't take if you have another work-heavy course in the same semester. Stringent on MLA.

Mr. Twiggs was great!! English is my second language. Im not great with it at all. He was either a harsh grader on my first paper, or it just really sucked. After my first paper and the feed back he gave me I didnt get anything lower than a B. He is also very patient with students!! I would definitely take again.

By far a fun and easy class. If you cannot make it to class, he has live streams where attendance will count off of that. There is a few essays but I gotten an A on all of them! Usually an assignment and mini quiz every week ( he will allow more than two attempts so you are able to get an A.) He is very caring and understandable.

Professor Twiggs is a really good guy, he shares things from his personal life, he engages with you about the papers you have to write (the entire ENC 1101 was writing essays), he answers questions clearly, he knew the names of everyone in class, highly recommend taking him

I took professor twiggs for comp 1 and I and taking him again this semester for text and writing. he is such a great teacher I love how he tells him students how his personal life. the writing assignments were very fun we got to choose what we wanted to write about which I love and we had a fun presentation assignment at the end!

I can't recommend Professor Twiggs enough for 1102. He is super understanding, very personable, and his lectures are few but informative. He clearly enjoys what he does and he's overall an awesome professor and great person.
