Always willing to help, very nice, quite young, and funny. Awesome professor, definitely recommend him! Easy on the eyes as well.
worsed teacher ever!!! test/quizzes are not related to the subject and are difficult. makes you feel stupid for asking questions. Also he does not allow you to use calculators at all!! If you need want to pass this class take it with another instructor
avoid this teacher at all cost!!
HORRIBLE experience!!! there no more to say but that.
Mr. W is the best teacher I have ever had! He is so helpful in his office hours. You must do the homework in order to do well however.I learned so much from him.
Mr. Wyniawskyj was an excellent instructor. You must do some homework to be successful. He helped me whenever I asked. I recommend him for Calc II.
Without a doubt the worsed teacher, no help before class, during class or after class. avod this teacher.
this guy was so easy! chris clearly states on day 1 that you have to show up, pay attention, and DO THE HOMEWORK, and then the tests came almost directly from the homework! if you thought this guy's tests were hard then you were obviously never in class and didnt do the homework
Not good at all, test, quizzes and the "instuctor" are terrible. 1ST , 2ND , 3RD AND final exams where extremely difficult 2 out of 30 students failed. at the end only 8 students remained in the class. SAD SAD SAD
thought he was great. took the final exam yesterday and it was exactly how he said it would be- just studied old exams and whatnot and did just fine. not a hard class at all- would definitely recomend
pretty BAD!!! I wish I would have taken this class with different instructor
Chris is a great teacher. He's straight up from the first day of the class saying if you show up to class give an effor, he will notice your trying your best and will help you out with anything you need and will cut you some slack. Advice for this class study hard, do the homework, and meet with chris with any questions you have.
Terrible!!! Terrible!!!! I wish I would have read the comments before taking this class with such a bad instructor. "Chris" does not give anyone a break. well at least not the class I was in. we were all pretty much screwed from day one. half of the class dropped including myself.
DON'T DO IT!!! TRUST ME U WILL REGRET IT
This is one of the worse instructor I have EVER taken math with, we were unable to use calculators at all throughout the semester. the whole class failed all the exams. pretty bad teacher!
RUNNNNNN!!!!!!
chris was the only teacher who made any sense of the stuff. he made it pretty easy, and the exams were not hard at all! and you cant expect to use calculators on everything
kinda hard at times, but rly good and lays out expectations. he curved my grade in the end too big time!
Chris is a great mathematician. He is not a great educator. He comes across as condescending whenever you express that you don't understand something. He grades very hard. He doesn't assign homework or even recommend problems. You will have no idea what to expect on tests and quizzes. He does not review. 1/2 the class dropped. Avoid him for Calc 2.
Not a good instructor at all!! avoid him at all cost, unless u want to fail. He gives no opportunity to succeed.
he was very helpful and would always go back if there were questions. exams were just like the homework and it wasnt bad at all
I am amazed that there are good ratings on this "instructor" when in reality he is a terrible instructor. offers no help and the test are nothing like the homework. half of the class failed and at the end most of the students dropped.
it wasnt incredible by any means but it was pretty standard- go to class, listen, do some work, take a test, and move on. chris simplified everything pretty good to make it easy, and the tests werent bad at all
ummm yea... not the best teacher. he makes you feel dumb for asking questions,I dont recommend this teacher at all
He's super smart, nice, fair, helpful. He shows you math in its essense and elegance. No calculators on most tests but the computations were easy, cuz he's really testing for understanding. I went to class, did HW, got support from Chris and math center, and got an A. I will say that he runs a class more like what you find at a 4-yr school.
Nothing about this class was simple!! If you ask a question during class "chris" would make you feel dumb, also his test have nothing to do with the homeworks. pretty useless class, ended up dropping the class along with the other 15 students
I wish I would have known about this website before taking this class!!! this is definitely not a good teacher. the comments that are posted are true. he is very rude and not helpful at all
chris does a really good job of making things seem easier than the way the book explains them. hes really helpful, and he's pretty lenient when assigning final grades.i would take him again
I took calculus 2 over the summer which is a really fast pace class which i don't recommend anybody to take over summer. Anyways, i thought chris was really helpful. I went to his office when i did not understand something. I also asked during class what to expect on test or quizzes and he would kindly tell everybody! overall i thought he was great
I took this class in the summer and i completely do not recommend this teacher!!!not helpful and also he had a bad attitude
chris is hilarious and does a good job of weeding out the things you dont need to know and tells you exactly what you need to know. hard at times, but the most helpful prof ive ever had
i just had to drop cause of personal issue but i wish i coulda stayed. whenever someone had a question he would always take time to answer and make sure everyone else got it to. when i take it again i definitly want him
MR W actually made math make sense for the first time, always willing to help, and hes funny. if he is teaching another course i need i will definitely take him again.
A good teacher to learn from. Helpful and makes math easy and interesting.
The professor was very clear explaining the material and energetic. When help was needed, I was able to find him every time in his office. Also, emails were always answered in a timely manner, even last minute questions.
chris is just awesome. This was the first math class where i feel like i learned something. Energetic and a really good teacher.
I really enjoyed his class. Mr. Wyniawsky always made sure everyone understood something before he moved on. I hope I get to take him again.
He is very clear with expectations and he is a very lenient grader. im glad I took it with him
This teacher is really good at teaching. I loved his class. He did a really good job teaching, letting students interact and helped out students really well.
RUUUUUUUUUUUN and take this guy as soon as you can! He's a great instructor. He is always willing to help, in class or during office hours and is good with e-mails. His grading can be on the harsher side, but nothing ridiculous. He won't flat-out tell you what's on an exam, but if you do the homework and understand the concepts, you'll do well.
Chris was a great teacher for differential equations. He is always willing to help you out and answer questions. Don't let the other comments scare you, take Chris!
Great teacher. Funny, made sense of the material, and a great class. If there was ever a simpler way to do the prob he always told us, which was nice
The teacher was enthusiastic and very helpful when needed, and he always made sure everyone understood an example before moving to the next topic. cant find anything to complain about
I thought the class was goin to be really hard but this instructor made it seem pretty easy. also the tests were over basic problems, not the really hard ones
he cares about his students and really wants you to succeed. hes passionate about teaching math and it shows. great instructor!
Good teacher and good guy. Take him!
CHris was very approachable and easy to follow in class. ill defenitely be taking the next math class with him in the fall! he's a good teacher to have
Mr Wyniawskyj is one of the best math teachers I've had. Great class..high energy, he keeps you interested and motivated. His advice is key: Do the homework not until you get the problem right, but until you no longer get it wrong. He is always willing to provide extra help. I would definitely take another class with him.
Chris was a wonderful instructor. He was extremely clear and concise with the material. We did many examples in class, which were similar to test problems. Do not miss class because you will fall behind. Very easy A if you attend class and go through examples and do maybe 5 problems from the textbook per section.
A good math teacher is definitely rare, but Chris is amazing! Lectures are clear and very helpful. HW, quizzes, and test are extremely fair and based off lectures and HW. He is always available to help no matter what. He is one of the best math teachers Ive ever had! I would definitely suggest taking his classes
Chris is an outstanding teacher. He is there when you need him and I struggled GREATLY with math but he was able to help me overcome some math issues that helped me later on. I recommend to him period take him if you can get in he's known to be an awesome teacher! Thank you Chris!
Chris is an excellent teacher and I would definitely recommend him. He has been very helpful with all of my questions and trust me, I have a lot! It's been a while since I've taken an Algebra class. He also responds quickly to email questions. He sometimes offers quiz corrections for some bonus points too! I would definitely recommend him!
Probably the best math teacher I have had. Puts effort into helping his students. Class was actually enjoyable since he was not mono-toned & made some jokes at times. He drops the lowest quiz grade. He always encouraged his students to stay after to ask questions or office visits. Explains everything at an easy pace.
This class is the best math class I've ever been in. Chris is very energetic and clear and really shows you why math is important. Hes always there to help, and unlike some teachers, it seems like he actually WANTS to help. i'm thankful to be done with math but if I wasn't i would definitely take Chris again
Mr. W is great and this was the first math class I enjoyed. He's very upbeat and always makes sure we all get it before moving on. I tell everyone I know to take him.
He's very passionate about math and you can see that when he teaches. But as for me, even if I asked for help, it was hard for me to grasp what he was saying. As long as you pay close attention, asks questions and attend every class, I'm sure you'll be fine.
I took his Math class online. I went to go see the teacher frequently and he was very helpful with whatever I needed help with. . He will come in outside of his office hours to schedule a time to meet with you. The online class can be difficult at times but you can always go in to see him for help. I would recommend taking this teacher.
Chris is a great professor! It was his first time teaching Math 141 and he did an exceptional job. He always made class very easy to understand and interesting at the same time. He is very clear with lecture notes as well as with assignments test. He has a great personality and makes class fun. He always offers help and is easy to get in contact with. I would recommend him to anyone and take him again my self.
He is quirky and yet funny at the same time. He is nice and pretty easy going. He does not clarify concepts , but he is willing to help students outside of class. Overall, he is a good teacher.
Mr. Wyniawskij was a really great teacher. He has a lot of energy, which is nice in a math class when it's not always exciting because then it kept me always engaged. He'll do almost anything to help you get the best grade possible.
Chris was really cool and easy going.
Prof Wyniawskyj was always looking to help in any way that he could. He also has clear expectations and the structure of the course was very easy to follow. As long as youre a decent student, youll do well trust me.
Chris is a fantastic teacher. He may seem like an oddball, but who isn't? He explains every single step, even if another student suggests a way of solving that's further ahead than the lesson being learned. If you ask a question, he will stop the class and make sure YOU know how to do the problem. If you see his class, TAKE IT.
Chris is hilarious! He makes learning math fun & he tells you how you can apply it to daily life. While his tests are tricky, you'll do fine as long as you do the homework. I struggled with calc, but he was extremely helpful in office hours. Inspiring, fun, and understanding. You'll have to work for an A, though! Take his class!!!
Chris was an awesome teacher! He was funny and full of stories which made every class enjoyable to attend. However, he WILL make you work for your grade. NO HOMEWORK is given. Students are ONLY graded on tests and quizzes I struggled with this course but if you use his office hours for questions and show him that you know the material you will pass
I had a great experience with online math as Chris being our online instructor. He made online math seem more exciting and possible and he is easy to approach with questions, feedback and information about how to do better and keep going. I would highly recommend him!
Unfortunately, CLC designed MTH144 (Pre-Calc) to be very fast-paced and the sections aren't taught cohesively. Thankfully, Prof. W does his best to teach only the relevant content of MTH144 that is used in MTH145 (Calc). If he notices that the class as a whole needs to boost their grades, he'll offer extra credit in the form of exam corrections.
He is a great teacher. You can tell from his lectures that he is a natural teacher. He understands what the students are going through and provides ways for extra credit for students who apply themselves. He is often available for questions and is terrific at answering them in class or outside of class. Definitely take him if you can.
This isn't a strong subject for me, but with the professors help and a lot of studying I ended up with a B. I would definitely take him.
Calc 2 with Chris is difficult, but definitely worthwhile if you put in the effort. I took it during the summer, so you need to learn concepts pretty fast. It's very challenging but he makes Calc 2 a bit easier to understand. He is very helpful during office hours, but at the same time he is a very tough grader. Overall, amazing teacher!
Literally more than half the course dropped before the end of the semester and even encouraged people to drop.
He will take the time to go over questions, oh and you can do extra credit to boost your exam scores, which was really helpful. I've always been a 'C' student in math and I did just fine. I just wish he was teaching calculus 1 next semester!
I liked how this professor gave you 1 week to do his exams, that is more than enough to get them done. I also like how he gave you a week to turn his homework.
Mr. C is a great professor, and my only complaint was how strict he was in his grading and the short amount of time between homework deadlines. other than that, his lectures were on point and very thorough. I took the hybrid course which isn't difficult but make sure you reach all your deadlines lest you forget
He is nice and very outgoing. Lots of homework.
An excellent professor. He really enjoys math and it is extremely helpful to go to class. He shows plenty of examples and works hard to ensure that everyone understands the process.
he's a cool teacher, super helpful when talking to them directly about my grades and what I needed to do to improve upon them.
I really really enjoyed the energy Chris put into his class lectures! As a morning student, sometimes it is very much needed to have an enthusiastic professor like Chris. His exams are a bit tricky sometimes but nonetheless are not terrible. He will help to the best of his ability if you reach out to him.
Out of all my professors at CLC he was the worst. He gets annoyed when you ask the same question again. If you don't understand his explanation he just passes you to the math lab. He can be arrogant and pompous at times. If you are not a strong person with math don't take his class. If you struggle with math really don't take his classes.
Mr. W was an awesome professor this summer. Even though we were online due to COVID, he made the class interactive and always made sure that everyone knew how to do the problems. Great professor and would definitely take his class again.
He was AMAZING and while I DID receive a D+ it was due to the fact that he was on paternity leave and the replacement wasn't all that great AND we switched to online in the middle, but Mr. CHRIS. He was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He made things understandable if you didn't quite get it the first time, and made the learning fun!
I took Calc 2 over the summer with Prof Wyniawskyi, definitely a fast paced, very difficult content class, as it is calc 2 and it is only 8 weeks. He is most definitely knowledgeable about the material and very passionate about the subject, which made it easy to learn from him. I really enjoyed it
I thought he was an amazing professor. If you send him pictures of your work he gives extra credit. More than willing to answer questions.
By far one of my favorite teachers Ive had. He was always more than happy to answer my questions. Records his lectures so you can rewatch. Doesnt force participation and is overall extremely patient. Only con: pretty homework heavy.
Prof. Wyniawskyj is a great teacher for those who are really good at math but his class is rough for those who aren't. He is extremely hyper when he talks about math. The one complaint that I had was that his final exam was 1 1/2 hrs and I couldn't finish it. He did up my grade from C to B because he said that I tried, so I really appreciated that.
Chris is such a great teacher! He loves what he does & is passionate about it. He's really enthusiastic & animated during lectures which make them enjoyable & easy to follow. I did the online so it's really important to watch the lectures. If you have trouble understanding something, he will make additional videos to help. One of the best teachers
He was a great teacher; I took his 7 am class, and he kept me entertained so early in the morning and maintained great energy.
He was great! Very good and wants to help you out. I took Calc 2 so obviously it will be challenging, but it wasn't terrible. He was great at responding to emails and would always be available to answer questions, from homework problems to study guide questions. He taught in such a simple way it was so easy to understand.
Professor Wyniawskyj is great. He posts weekly announcements and checks in with his students via email and text. I appreciate all the effort he puts into his online lectures. Thank you for a great semester!
There was a lot of work - homework, quizzes, and exams. He tends to ramble, which made it hard to follow along with material that was already challenging. He's a nice guy and was willing to help, but ultimately, the clarity of his teaching wasn't the best.
Excellent maths instructor, very knowledgeable, gives feedback. Lectures were very good and easy to understand. Lots of homework but they are necessary. For calc II you need practice. Do the homework and put some time in to do some problems. If you like maths you'll like Prof W.
One of the best math professors I've had. His explanations are very clear, and the best part is the final project, which encourages reflection on your present and future financial life.
I've taken 3 math classes with Professor Chris, and each one has been amazing. I transferred to another school and took calc 2 there but dropped it. Decided I'd come back and take it with Chris! Chris makes it so enjoyable because he is truly passionate about math. I don't have a strong background in math, but he is making me fall in love with it.
Great Professor who is easy to reach outside of class and always willing to help out, def take him if you can! The course itself was challenging but definitely doable if you watch the lectures and put the work in consistently.
