She has to be one of the best professors I've ever had. Now don't take that for meaning she's easy, she's not. But she supplies you with everything you need to be successful in her class. If you don't use it, that's your fault. Her enthusiasm is a major plus! This lady has connections...if you're an acct. major utilize her. She's the BEST!

Prof Freed is smart and knows her stuff well, but she's disrespectful. Reading and homework must be completed before lecture and that's why she expects you to fully understand the material since you already "did the reading" She randomly calls on you and if you can't answer she gets so mad at you and sometimes even take participation points off

I'll be as fair as I can be. Professor Freed is a very intelligent woman and she cares about teaching her students real world accounting material. The class is not hard but you better be able to motivate yourself when a professor puts you down. She is tougher on her students than most professors so if you can't take the heat, look for other profs.

Most caring and enthusiastic professor I have taken at USC. She prints out her slides for every class. She does make us to homework on chapters before she lectures on them. They are graded for completeness not correctness. I hated this at first but then realized she was making me stay up with the class so I would not have to cram at the last minute

Prof Freed is one of the only professors that will actually teach you Accounting. She knows her stuff. However, you must keep up to date with the homework and actually do it. The lecture's will be based on the previous nights homework and you will not understand them if you have not read the text book. She is very clear on what she expects.

Professor Freed isnt the worst, but reading off scripted lectures like a book to a college class for the full 2 hours gets old. Freed is disrespectful and discouraging to students, as she gets angry if you dont know the correct answer right away. I personally have had way better professors at community college. Im not sure why USC still has her.

Over all I very enjoyed her class. She wants everyone to come to office hours but then wants to chit chat and gossip instead of going over practice problems. It's a lot of self teaching because the class is so condensed. She expects you to know and understand ALL the material before getting to class, but she does care a lot about her students!
