This teacher is extremely tough. She is very blunt and borderline rude. She will roast your writing no matter how good you think you are at writing. She never admits to being wrong and only likes writing that fits her narrow expectations of what "good" is. She gives good feedback, but, again, in a rude way. Take someone else for this class!

The best professor I've had at UVU. She is extremely well knoweledged in the subject and is very good at explaining theory and wants to make sure you understand. I'm not gonna lie, she has high expectations and this class is a lot of work, but it's worth it. I feel like I've become a better writer and student because of her and the class.

I hated this class. I hate writing in general but she just made it worse. There were so many papers that we wrote that were absolutely useless and I still don't understand why we had to do them. This class was of no help at all.

Professor Albrecht-Crane is excellent! She helps you and gives you plenty of chances to reach out if you need help. She always gives feedback on EVERY assignment, which helps you know exactly how to succeed in her course. You will have to write several papers for her class, but that is to be expected from an English class.

Christa is an amazing teacher. That being said, be prepared to read and to write A LOT. Her class is not easy, but she is willing to be flexible. She provides excellent feedback on your papers. I learned more about writing from her than any other professor.

Very tough about participation and attendance, even if you have accommodations. Recommend taking someone else if that's something that matters to you. Will shut down interpretations that differ from her own. Otherwise, very passionate about her topics and has an infectious excitement that can help with enjoyment of the material.

She is the most caring prof. I've ever had! I got incredible and meaningful feedback every. single. assignment. As long as I did the papers she was willing to be flexible with my timing. She is very knowledgeable and great at teaching. I couldn't recommend her more. The weekly reading responses seemed like a lot, but I didn't mind too much.

Great professor, very passionate, not for everyone. She's great at giving feedback and grades well, but is very particular at the way she wants things done. A lot of filler assignments but overall not too bad, I can imagine she'd be a very formative teacher for higher level English classes.

Professor Crane is amazing! She is a great student advocate and a great teacher. I felt so accomplished by the end and the class which was just a great experience all around. She is also great at giving personal feedback! She annotated every assignment so I wanted to do a good job on them and improve- I do think I improved so much because of her!
