Excellent prof! Was willing to drive out to school to meet me at her office(outside her office hours) because I didn't understand a topic. She is always there to help whenever you need it,very sweet!

She is definitely concerned about her students. She learns their names and always offers her help. My only complaint is that on rare occasions she has difficulty explaining something clearly, though it is obvious that she knows the material extremely well

The course is not hard, but she is very difficult to understand. She doesn't effectively answer questions and often results in giving numerous examples rather that actually EXPLAINING things. She's quite nice, just make sure you buy and read the texts.

I cannot believe there are good comments about this woman! She may be nice, but what is the good of her being nice if you cannot understand her! Her 1st language is German, 2nd language is French, and 3rd language is English.You just can't understand her!

I think this professor is excellent, she knows the material and she is not hard at all to understand, she brings extra material to class to help you out all the time, I recommend this teacher

A VERY nice lady, but she really can't teach the material. She makes a hard course harder. I didn't find her very clear in explaining things. All that said, she is very approachable and will try her best to help you when she knows your trying.

I'm a pretty negative person but I got to tell you Lietz is one of the nicest profs I've ever had. Anyone who has problems with her must have no social skills. VERY helpful.

i thought she was excellent! she did a great job teaching the material, and really went out of her way to help students when they needed it. superb teaching, organization, and caring. i totally recommend taking this course with her!

She's absoulutly wonderful. Very helpful. She offers tutorials. She'll stay after class to help you out! She WANTS her students to do well. If you have to do 2390 and 3650 - do them with her!!!

Many people said they enjoyed her as a prof, but I've found her to be disorganized, and very spacey. She tries to give examples, yet she is very vague.You have to learn the material for yourself because she is very hard to understand. Nice personality.

This prof has the best of intentions, but she repeats what she said previously when asked questions. Suggestion: GO HOME AND THINK ABOUT IT before you ask her in class. She is very kind and very approachable and understanding. I like her.

She is very helpful and a fair marker. She tries very hard to help students who want it. She can be a little unclear at time but take down all the notes, read the text, and ask for help when you need it and you'll get an A.

She is a nice lady and menas well. However, she is kind of spacey and laughs at stupid stuff. Some of the materail is better learnt at home. She id a good, fair marker and shows concern for students who try. The course was pretty good!

The number 3650 sends chills up and down my spine. Not only was she unclear but she wasn't very nice either. She has absolutely no sympathy. If you were on your death bed she probably still wouldn't let you make up a missed exam.

Honesty from someone who is willing to admit it. I had her for 2390 and hated her...learned later it was because I was not giving it my all. When I had her for 3650, I worked for my mark, learned she is very helpful and willing to work with those who are willing to work.

Very friendly, patient, and helpful prof. I definitely learned from her, even though sometimes she was a little unclear. She is always smiling. I don't think there's a way to get her mad.

she's very confusing at times and hard to understand. if you are taking eng.3650 before 2390, do not get her. she teaches the 3650 material as if everyone has done 2390 already, which wasn't the case at all.

The woman gave Inuit examples for English! Confusing is not the word....I passed but I studied really hard........It makes feel sorry for students paying to do her class. Any other prof is better for this course.

I don't know why poeple say she is hard to learn from. If you show up to every class and her extra help seeions you'll do great. I get the feeling that the people who write negative things about her are the ones who show up to class once a week and sit there will bkank looks on their faces.

Very funny, very sweet. Excellant notes, very helpful and insightful. Her tests were a JOKE! Super easy! Definately get her if you can! All you do is go to class and you end up with like an 80!

Very good prof... Helps students who ask for help and really cares for students. Tests were long but not too bad. Love the way she teaches the course... tests cover material from beginning of semester upto the test...this helped a lot when it was time to study for the final!

I like her as a person she seems pretty funny but I will never take another course from her ever. She is not very helpful outside of class, I have not missed one class this semester and she is still not willing to to help outside of class. Her 'quizzes' are retarded, better take a week to study.

This is a hard course, as is, but with her as a prof., it simply gets that much harder. I found her useless, she has not taught me anything I couldn't find in the book, but I am still not learning because she doesn't explain things. Avoid her if you can!

Good prof. The texts are just as helpful as her notes. She always has a couple of fill-ins on the tests that have like a billion answers and she'll only take one, but other than that they're pretty basic. Really sweet and caring lady.

She loves what she teaches but couldn't teach it to save her life. She mumbles in monotone a lot and her '30 minute quizzes' take at least an hour to finish. She's more than willing to help and yet will not take students concerns seriously. Avoid her if possible.

The woman is a complete and udder moron. She stands up in front of the class and laughs at herself for at least half of the class. She doesn't actually teach the course and expects way too much out of people. I'd never recommend her in a million years.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! I am not a dumb person I get excellent grades in my other courses but in this one i bust my ass and still fail! Her notes suck and she never leaves them up long enough to copy, her worksheets suck and her "Little quiz" was 6 pages and took an hour to write. AVOID OF POSSIBLE!

Seriously, go to her class, take the notes and write all the right answers on the helpful handouts and study what she gives you. She doesn't trick you or go out of context. Her exams come directly from class material!!! It's as simple as that!

Seriously, take it from someone who did two courses with her. I did terrbile in one course and very good in the other, all because I did work in one and not in the other. Anyone who does not like her, did not try to understand...and GET help from her. She is truly wonderful...and not out to get you!

I thought this was as easy class. All you have to do is go to the classes and review the sheets she gives you. The prof is very sweet, however she can be very hard to listen too. Not the most exciting class but a good class overall.

I love this prof! She is so kind and explains everything well. I was reluctant to take the course and assumed I would do poorly, but Christa changed my attitude and I ended up with an A. Grammar is awesome and so is Christa.

Such a sweet lady!! I loved this professor for this course. The actual course itself sucked since grammar is a pretty dry topic, but I did learn a lot!! She is very understanding and friendly and will go out of her way to help you out!! Definitely recommend.

Found her lectures very hard to follow. Terms were not explained, just examples upon examples. Laughed and giggled throughout the class like a child. I would not take another class with her.

This lady is always smiling. You can tell she really wants to help her students. The first 2 weeks of class I found her really annoying but then I realized that she is a great prof and made the course easy. I hated grammar going in and liked it by the end. I got 75% overal. I could have done better if I had tried just a little harder.

Christa is a great prof and VERY knowlegable. If you have any question, just go to her office and she would spend as much time as required to clarify any issue yo might have. Grammar is dry sometimes, but it comes with practice, so do the worksheets and you'll ace the quizzes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This course is very challenging. It comes with ALOT of practice. There were 4 tests and all were very hard. Ask her for help and she has no problem, ask early in the semester and you will pass! She will sit with you for as long as you need!

A very sweet prof, extremely interested in students. She knows you by name and offers extra, "informal" review sessions outside of class towards the end of the term. Course material is often dry, but necessary. Provides lots of worksheets, do them! Put in a mediocre amount of work and you'll pass with flying colours.

This professor is the prime example incompetence when it comes to class time, each class consists of brief explanations, followed by ungodly amounts of time spent in silence as she gives the class worksheets that she did not fully explain how to do. Nobody does them, then she goes through them at a snails pace. Her slide shows are useless as well.
