Professor Farano wants her student to get good grades. lots of assignments for extra credits. Dr. Farano is a very good teacher; she presents a lot of slides in her lectures, and she is passionate about the world we live in. Dr. Farano has a good sense of humor, the field trip she guided was a wonderful experience. I will take her next class!

If you are thinking this class is just maps with rivers, countries, etc., think twice. You learn about the atmosphere, meteorology, geology, physical processes of earth, and do some map studies. Do all the extra credit, and all assignments, and you can't fail this course. She is a fair grader, and always willing to give advice.

Her class is enjoyable to attend, and she is willing to help anyone who is willing to learn. the exams are straight from the lectures so take notes and study them. You will do fine.

I had professor Farano in one of her night classes. She did an amazing job explaining the physical geography to were you are able to understand the processes. The lectures led to tests with a few in-class assignments and she gives you the semester to complete extra credit.

She says her tests are lecture-based, but no not really. If you want to get A's on the tests, you have to also study from the textbook. Other than that, she is a fair grader and offers extra credit. Her grading & assignments are pretty straightforward, and for the most part she stayed true to her syllabus. Great personality too, would take again.

Shes rude. If youre late and disrupt class even when youre not trying to she will make a big deal and interrupt her lesson just to put someone on the spot. And will continue to talk about it for a while then go back to teaching.

Professor Farano is condescending and incompetent. She wastes class time by either bragging about herself and the counties she's been to, convincing students to go into the Earth Science field or by making substandard jokes. Lectures are unorganized and rushed. The notes don't coincide with the test and she refuses to discuss any question in class.

Forget all the negativity. Prof. Farano is great. She's very passionate about Geogrpahy and Earth Sciences. She's perfect for Geogrpahy majors. She teaches with great detail and explains everything .Extra credit field trips are a part of the semester too. Not a boring class at all. Do the work and you'll pass. Don't be intimidated. You'll be ok.

Shes nice so I feel bad giving her a low rating, but she just rambles & gets off topic a lot. gives you study guides but they don't help that much on the tests. Youll have to read the textbook to find info on studyguides bc her notes dont give you everything. She didnt understand why ppl were doing badly but its just bc her lectures arent that good

A great professor that wants you to pass the class with flying colors. She gives you most of the semester to complete the majority of the assignments that make up your grade. You don't need a textbook for her class but it helps you complete the study guides. Powerpoint lectures make up the bulk of class time but they answer the exam questions.

Great professor but not really helpful during the lab in class. When online, she is super helpful and works with you through most of the assignment. A stark difference from in class. Make sure to study before every class because there will be a quiz at the start of class. Try hard and ask questions, this isn't the easiest lab class.

In lab class, she's more concerned with trivial things, like how you complete the lab sheet, than if you have the correct answers. VERY unorganized! Most of our lectures consist of her wasting at least half the session, screwing around, figuring out the online system, giggling about it the whole time. DO NOT TAKE PROF. FARANO, SHE IS TERRIBLE!

She is very nice and makes it clear what she wants out of your lab homework. She tells you how to solve the problems and tells you what problems will be on the test and how to solve them. However, she is disorganized and rambles. You will learn a lot, but if you are irritated by disorganization, don't take the class.

Probably one of the most unorganized professors that I have EVER taken. She is a very frustrating human to be in a class with for 3 hours. She means well, but she rambles on and on about things completely unrelated to the topics, for majority of the class. This is NOT her area of expertise, so don't expect her to be able to answer many questions.

Her lectures are not good, she somehow finds a way to rant about some problem going on in her life or her past. There is almost no homework and your entire grade will be based off of the tests. The class average on these tests was about 64%. I highly recommend you do not take her class, at least not in person.

She is sweet outside of class. Unfortunately, she should not be teaching this subject. She goes off topic constantly which makes it hard to stay engaged. She spends more time calculating how you can fail all her exams yet still pass rather than actually teaching the material. Every lecture is rushed through. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

The course material is fairly easy, but wow, is there a lot of homework. At least 6 assignments a week, 2 of which are entire lectures you have to write down. The work is pure busy work. It isn't relevant, and doesn't appear on the tests. It feels very tedious. I would not want to take this course again if given a choice.
