Great teacher! you learn a lot in her class, and she makes it super FUN, her class is very enjoyable. She explains very well, and you have very clear what is on the tests. REALLY RECOMMEND HER. As long as you follow her advice on creating notecards you will find the tests very easy..=)

After taking her class passed it with an solid A. This class was fun and I passed because I memorized terms a lot of terms! The problem with that is you do not get the whole picture and I ended up with an a but just by MEMORIZING terms. Multiple choice tests and term memorizing should be eliminated for good if you want to learn!Grade A =no learning

Really good teacher. Do the study guide!! I didn't do it for the first test and I failed it. After that I made notecards for all the study guides and I got an A on all the tests. Her stories really helped my understand the concepts. I completely recommend this class and teacher if you need it for a gen. ed.

Awesome SOC teacher. Really clear with everything, has the best notes, and stories that actually help her students understand the subject instead of simply waste time. I've learned the most from Christa, and we're usually out of class early (just a few minutes, but the content is definitely there)

Christa is one of the best teachers I've had. She's hilarious and explains things in a way that makes you actually understand. She makes it a point to learn your name, too. If you want to take SOC, you've gotta take her! You'll show up because you want to.

She was great, lively and fun. She was able to turn show how the concepts related to today's society. Note cards aren't necessary as long as you pay attention and engage in the class.

Christa is hilarious! She is a great teacher and loves sociology! As long as you pay attention in class and don't miss her graded in class activities than you should be able to get a high grade. She is very entertaining and moves you around a lot. She is great at explaining things and she is very concentrated on learning all her students names.

Attendance is important because you do not want to miss information or the in-class activities. She makes class fun and interesting, I definitely recommend her if taking Sociology.

I loved Christa! She is super funny and knows her subject well. I wasn't a fan of the tests b/c they were all multiple choice and I personally felt that they didn't correlate with her material presented in class. The PwPts had tons of pictures & graphs that were unaccessible to us and they seemed important to know, but we only got a short glimpse.

Don’t let the first day of class throw you. She is a good teacher and you’ll learn a lot in her class. She makes learning interesting. You must attend all classes because the class exercises count toward your grade. Not an easy class but worth taking if you want to learn

People complain about her tests but if you put in enough effort, you can get an A no doubt. She's very helpful and tells you exactly what she expects from you in the beginning. Christa was great, she was interesting and very personal. As long as you do the work and study for an adequate time for her tests , you will do very well in the class.

Her tests are hard and I personally was not a fan at all of the way she graded anything I did. She is helpful, but she seems judgemental a little snappy, and seemed a little crazy at times. So personally I would choose another soc teacher at ECC.

Christa is an awesome teacher. She's blunt and to the point, she tells you the first day what is expected in order to pass her class. She has about 5 tests during the semester. She gives you study guides as homework, DO THEM! They're basically all the answers to the test. If you're lazy, her class is not for you. What you put in is what you get.

Intimidating when u first meet her but shes really nice. Not the easiest grader, you really have to study to get an A. Study the review questions and do all of them, not just the ones assigned. They really help and are on the test. I like how she gets rid of the big stuff in the beginning, not towards finals. Wish I tried harder, easy A if u study.

Awesome professor! Make sure to show up to every class because their will be in class assignments that will be about the lecture given that same day (Usually she groups you with random people). If you miss them, you're going to regret it later on in the semester. Also, she has notes for you to print out. Overall, great professor :).

Funny. Bold. Outgoing. Syllabus is very clear cut. She provides personal in-depth examples to relate to class. She assigns pretty easy homework, tests are straight from the study guide. Very understanding and tries to be there for her students. Heads up- you'll work in groups a lot.

I took her for a summer course to replace the original class that I failed. She is one of the funniest teachers I've had at ECC. She has a lot of enthusiasm and her lectures are never boring. She gave an average amount of homework. She let my class take the final in groups and let us know how many questions we needed to get right to improve grades.

She was one of the best teachers I've ever had. Had so many great examples to help understand the work, gives extra credit once every week. Extremely helpful to students and explains in more detail if you have a question. Beware of her laugh, it is very creepy at first but you get used to it! Highly recommend her!!!!

Every lecture is entertaining in some way. An amazing story teller and she provides very clear notes to follow along with in class. Odyssey textbook is a must!! HW comes straight from that. I wish she taught more than SOC 100 because I would absolutely take her again. One day she accepted any late work at all for full credit so watch for that!!

Good Class, there is only 5 tests and a final exam. Lots of fun and interesting activities. If you like working in groups, this is the class for you. She has you get the class notes from D2L for each chapter. I enjoyed this class.

I loved Christa! Her power points coordinate directly with the notes packets. The questions from the notes packet are word-for-word what is on the quizzes/exams. Easy A, just fill out the packet as she goes over it in class and don't be afraid to ask questions during class. Fun activities and group work! Engaging and interesting class overall.

From day 1, gives you a schedule of the whole class. Quizzes prepare you for the test. Tests are all short answer - pretty much just memorizing vocab. Notes on D2L, print them and add to them during lecture. Super fun in class activities. She is witty, practical, funny, and respected. Very willing to help and very approachable. Would take again.

Best instructor! I will admit that I was intimidated and scared of her the first couple classes, but I have learned so much from her this semester! It was refreshing to have a college instructor treat us like actual college students and have expectations for us rather than baby and coddle us. I will recommend her over and over and over again!

Krista knows what she is talking about. She's very smart and funny. Best teacher I've ever had in ECC. Her lectures are amazing, most of them are so intriguing. Her stories are the best thing ever and you will never be bored in her class. Only two essays to write and they're not hard at all. STUDY for tests. Overall amazing person.

Christa kind of made me want to pee my pants on the first day of class. Despite that fact, I am honestly glad that I stuck with this class. The textbooks are used and not a waste of money, she has very clear schedule for the semester, and she gives the opportunity for points! All the answers are fed to you, you just have to show 100% completion.

Don't miss class or be later. She hands out extra credit every so often. It's all about culminating points. Christa is funny, and has her opinions, but she is very honest and makes you think. She is a little tough around the edges, but a softy I think. You have to study, but she makes the process easy!! TAKE HER! Couldn't ask for a greater teacher.

She's hands-down one of my favorite teachers.. She knows her subject well and is constantly observing how the class learns to adjust how she teaches. She gives warnings on how difficult the tests are, use note cards and you'll pass. Tough grader, but lots of extra credit. She makes you think outside the box. I will definitely be taking her again.

Easiest professor I have had in my life. The answers to the tests are word for word the study guide. Also, an extreme amount of extra credit is given.

Christa is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had, if not THE best. She gives out lots of extra credit, and the test questions are straight from the review questions that she goes over in class. Just go over the answers and you'll be fine. In-class activities are fun and she is hilarious.

I enjoyed her lectures so much! She tells lots of stories that relate to what you're learning. Tests are hard if you aren't good at open ended questions. Gives you lots of study guides which will prepare you for the test. At first she does seem kind of hard but she's a sweetheart. Make sure you read the textbook, use your notes, and ask questions.

I went into this class expecting this to be my easy class but she really made you work for your grade in a way that made you feel good about it. She was very over the top and it took some getting used to, but I WOULD HANDS DOWN RECOMMEND HER just for any subject haha. Dont slack cause itll suck to disappoint her.

She was always a great teacher, a little wild at first but you'll get used to it. Her class is based on effort I would say, you can easily get an A if you put in the work. She is understanding and has a great sense of humor, just don't get her mad.

She makes you work in groups a LOT, so if you have bad social anxiety, I wouldn't recommend. However, she's a sweetheart and she's super funny. The class is easy to pass as well. This teacher is LGBT+ friendly

She was alright. There were a lot of group activities. She is funny and such but I did my best to avoid talking to her because she came off as "Strong" on the first day. The only thing that was terrible was that her sources were SO outdated, only to prove her point.

The course is super easy in my opinion. It only gets a little difficult with the textbook reading because it can be heavy at times but then it's not bad at all at other times. We don't do any papers which is a literal life saver and all the quizzes are online which I love. There's a lot of group activities that aren't usually too challenging.

first day of class and i didn't like her already since she came off a little too "strong" as people might say. but the more i engaged in her lectures, the more interesting they get and how funny she can be. we work in groups A LOT, and it's not an easy A to get but just as long as you show up to every class and do the work, you'll do just fine!

Christa was accessible to email when the virus started and helpful and gave good feedback on assignments. Beware for paper assignments if you have to do one she doesnt really use MLA or APA format she uses her own format for in text citations. She had online you tube videos that she linked on d2L that helped understand the content.

I took it online and she always gave very specific instructions. It was a lot of work between the exercises, quizzes, and reading. Definitely avoid if you don't have the time to put in the work but if you have the time it's not a super difficult class. She's understanding, no extra credit, answers emails in a timely matter. She's a good professor.

She's amazing!! She was easy in my online class. At first she was very overwhelming but as the class moved on she eased up a little. there's some assignments she allows you to redo other's she dont. Expect to read A LOT and take a lot of notes. Overall she was great! would definitely recommend taking her

Great Professor. I had her for an asynchronous class but I can say that she does truly care about her students. There is about 2 hours of busy work a week, but if you do them and turn them in on time, it should be an easy A.

Hitzeroth was a very chill teacher, and had some humor during lectures. She did assign a lot of assignments but they were super quick and easy. She made material easy to understand and had you practice group work. She made the class enjoyable.

In the beginning, I was not a huge fan. A lot of group projects in class and she is a tough grader on those. But, she is very helpful, all you gotta do is ask. She is definitely eccentric, mainly good ways. She gives you the grade you deserve not what you think you deserve. Would definitely take her class again.

Professor Hitzeroths, Sociology 100 class was remarkable. Her teaching style was so captivating. You do lots of group work and study things you already know. She challenges you to be creative and think out of society's box. Quizzes and tests are very easy, and minimal to no homework is given. Clear grading scale, fair grader, not lecture heavy.

Christa was amazing, probably one of the best. She is very considerate of her students and respects them. Her class is very engaging, with both individual and group activities that made class enjoyable. All the quizzes and exams were based off of her lectures and notes. There are a lot of assignments, but all due in a doable time frame.

I love Christa! If she taught more than just Principles of Sociology I would take them all! Attendance is definitely mandatory, if you don't show up don't expect to understand what is going on in class. Homework was maintainable and she looks out for her students. Lots of group work.

Christa is an amazing professor. She kept the lectures interesting and funny. She is a big fan of group projects and wants you to talk to your classmates but they are fun and simple. The class is not stressful at all. She may come across as mean at first but once you give her a chance, you'll see she cares. She brought up donuts many times!

took her social problems class; grade is based off of a weekly reflection (2 pages, no citations needed, you get the points just for doing it) and a weekly quiz (40 questions, time bound, on d2l) both are due every sunday by midnight. otherwise, every tuesday has a group activity that gets a collective grade. very chill and discussion based.

she is so funny and made class VERY VERY engaging. there was some group work but all of the activities she had us do made class more interesting and she always connected topics. great class for psych students.

Professor Hitzeroth is an amazing professor. At first I was a little concerned, but as you get to know her and understand the class structure it's amazing. The class is 80% group exercise 20% lecture. The exercises are always fun and interesting and after she always tell us the purpose of them. If you show up and do the work its an easy A or B.

Christa is an amazing professor. Classes are either lecture-focused or in-class group projects. There are a handful of homework assignments throughout the semester, so make sure you turn them in. Otherwise, just look forward to the notes packet (the slides are available online in case you missed, or want to work ahead) and chapter quizzes.
