I've taken him twice. Once for World Religion and this semester for Human Sexuality. He is a good teacher, but a tad biased. However, every teacher is biased in their own way, so take that for what it's worth.

This professor is the greatest. He is funny! I am planning to take all the courses he teaches. I wish all professors were like him.

Amundsen is not to be missed. Excellent prof, inspiring even. Makes you glad to be in school & proof positive that teachers aren't all evil. A fun teacher with solid beliefs & a very decent human being as well.

A really funny teacher whose classes you don't like missing. Challenging and he makes you think. Four or five test and a group presentation thats actually fun! He has strong opinions but encourages disscussion of conflicting ideas and opinions.

A great teacher. he face you with some daily problems that you never thought about them. I am planning to take all his classes eventhough i might not need them.

I took him for psy. 1 in winter mester. Great Teacher. He is HILLARIOUS. He let us do the final in groups. One of the best teachers i have ever had.

Easy, fun, class. There to help and plenty of xtra credit. Don't have to buy the stupid books b/c he hates them. Pay attention and you'll learn a lot.

a credit to professors everywhere

OMG! i loved coming to this class. We had great lively discussions and the things he talked about were really intresting,and were related to real life experiences that he had as therapist. So many funny stories about patients. Easy.

WoNdeRfuL teacher!! I LoVeD coming to class!! This is NOT a textbook lecture class, you interact and learn more that way! Even if you've taken a intro psyc class, take another w/Amundsen, you will have a blast!!

I seriously loved him. The best teacher I've had at North Lake so far. He's easy, interesting, up beat, and exciting. I would recommend just going into his class for the insightfulness. It was great...I want him to teach every class at North Lake. lol

You learn alot about yourself in his class.. Best of all NO TEXTBOOKS! You learn more from him than any book. Plus its cheap Therapy! great listener!

Amundsen is the best professor that I have had to date. He was so good I considered changing my majors. The only reason that I got a C instead of an A or B is because I didn't study hard enough for the few tests that we had to take. The class is so easy and he has great stories to tell. The only outside work we do is a short book and book report.

AMAZING TEACHER! Attendance not mandatory, but you won't know what will be on the tests if you miss notes. He actually tells you EXACTLY what he will ask on the tests. Alot of trick questions on tests so you must study and you will earn it, but the class environment itself was great. Hes very understanding of people's situation and he teaches in a way that makes you interested.

Professor Amundsen is an excellent instructor. He clearly has a passion for teaching and psychology. I took him for Intro to Psych during a summer session, and plan on taking his Psychology of Personalty next semester. His lectures are so interesting that you'll never want to miss a class.

Very entertaining, makes the material fun and easy to grasp. Does call himself 'doctor' even though he doesn't have the actual title, kind of full of himself/unprofessional in that regard. Overall a good class. No book, all lecture, and he makes lectures interesting.

Dr Amundsen is a fantastic professor. He does not believe in using textbook and I think he is man of wisdom. I learnt a lot of information. Its extremely productive class and I got an "A" with good efforts. Its very important that we pay 100 % attention. Its hard to find such a professor who has the passion for teaching.

I recommend Professor Admundsen for anyone looking into taking a Psychology class. I never wanted to miss his class because his lectures are so interesting. Even though his tests are easy, still study and take good notes.

He is the type of teacher our parents use to have.He cares more about what his students are learning than the grades they make.I will not make an A in his class because i did not study well on my second test but one thing for sure is that i learn a lot about psychology.Take him,do all your work well and on time and you will make a good grade.

Great teacher. Took his online Psychology 2301 class for summer 1 and just passed it. We had a total of 4 test and they were pretty easy. You just need to study.One book report,Board post(easy)and extra credit work. Would definitely take him for Psychology 2302. ;-))

Took this as online class. You have to read and study the entire book. Not an easy task!!! No test reviews! No study aides! But, if you read and highlight, take down notes, and study hard you can make an "A"! As I said, not an easy task! Excellent professor!

He is an awesome teacher! you take 5 tests, but he drops your lowest grade. All you do is take notes, study them, and take a 50 question test over it. His class is enjoyable and fun! He knows the subject and makes it interesting for everyone. Haven't met another professor like him. I highly recommend you all to take this class!!!

He is hilarious! This was pretty much a straight forward lecture class. No textbook, just your notes. There were 5 exams, and he dropped the lowest. He's very knowledgeable about the subject and I looked forward to this class and hated when it ended! One of the best professors I've had so far! Take his class!

I really recommend Dr. Amundsen. He is a great professor! I took his online class this semester. He gives you 3 tests, 2 papers, and discussion board. It's an easy class for the most part. Tests are hard, but he is a great professor! My only regret is that I wish I would have met him face to face! He seems like a great, laidback teacher! :)

The test are not easy unless you read the chapters and do the practice questions at the end of every chapter. He responds very quickly to emails. I personally liked the class just wished we could of all meet in person. GOOD TEACHER!

I took him for develop. psychology online and received an A. He is so helpful, always replies to the email. Tests are straight forward from the book. As long as you keep up with the deadlines for the discussions and essays you will be fine. I would strongly recommend him to everyone!

Love this guy, his intro class was so good i took 2 of his other classes just because he was interesting, test are fairly easy. if you study what he puts on the slides and tells you what to study then you will do just fine! very upbeat, great examples, keeps it real. you do have to write a paper or 2 but psh very easy!! great guy great class!

AWESOME PROF. BY FAR THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD and I am over 45 years old with a post grad degree. He wants you to do well and you learn more psychology than you ever would from a boring textbook. You will make an A if you just go to class and listen.

Professor Amundsen or Dr. A as I call him is simply the best at what he does hands down. I highly recommend you take his class, you will learn a lot and enjoy taking it. He has a list of books that you can do a book report on for extra credit, I have ended up reading three of the books he recommended since the class was over!

Really, the best professor I've had. He doesn't require a textbook, because he teachers the real stuff. I've taken a psych class before, but I learned so much more from him. He's funny, but if you're sensitive to coarse language, you should find another teacher. You only have to show up and listen to pass the class. :)

I took this class online & it was the easiest class I've ever taken. There are only 4 tests and a weekly discussion board. I didn't even have to read the book - just opened it up and looked up the answers while taking the online test. The discussion boards are an automatic 100 as long as you write something... plus he adds some extra credit.

EASIEST CLASS I'VE EVER TAKEN(took online). 4 tests, a few discussion boards, & a book report. I never even read the book, just opened it and found the answers at test time. ANYTHING you write on the discussion boards is automatically graded 100. Also, he is super lenient on the book report grading. You don't have to even read the book for that.

I had been out of school for 5 yrs and decide to take Dr. A's class PSYC 2301 and I got to admit it was the best decision Ive taken! He is a great knowledgeable professer and doesn't require a txt book. He is very funny and lets it be known how it is! Best professer Ive ever had!

Very funny, informative, you will love the class. Mine is filled up every class and if I'm not there I don't get a seat! It is true what everyone has said and no matter what your majoring in, take the class. I learned so much from him and I learned a few things about myself. This class was interesting and very easy. You must use your book for tests and papers, and you need to read. However, everything is available from the start so you can finish the class early like I did. It helped alot since I have 3 other classes. It was wonderful!!

I had met Dr. A a year prior to taking his class through the reference of another Psychology professor who was unable to answer questions pertaining to the deeper meanings in life. I met with him once and found him to be highly intriguing. I took his course the following fall semester. I loved Psychology before hand, I fell IN LOVE after his class.

Very interesting course, and VERY easy. I took it online, he made all the course work available from the start so I was able to work ahead and finish early so I could focus on my 3 other courses. You will need your book! The content is very interesting. Impossible to fail unless you make no attempt to do the work.

It's an easy A as long as you show up to class, record the lectures, take notes and study. I studied the night before and would make an A. His test are easy. He teaches extremely well. He takes his class seriously. His class was one of my favorites this semester. TAKE HIM!!! Don't by the book, its useless. He does a better job.

BRILLIANT MAN

I took the Mayterm version of the course and it wasn't a lot of work required.There were 3 exams, 10 discussion boards, and 2 papers. The exams weren't hard at all (mainly definitions) but you do need to read the book to find the more detailed questions he asks. He also wasn't really a tough grader on the papers. I got an A in course. Very easy!

I absolutely loved this class, I looked forward to attending, Professor Amundsen was GREAT. I RECOMMEND. Didn't use the book, we just took notes, and participated. He's hilarious. He uses profanity but not enough to make anyone uncomfortable. Tests are easy &multiple choice SO TAKE NOTES AND STUDY.Studying=reading notes.You won't regret this class

Mr.Amundsen's class was very simple and easy. I took it only for Spring. We do use the book a lot ! Just take the quizzes on Blackboard & use the book for the test ( since the exams are open book). I got a B with minimal effort. Good luck to all!

You won't be bored if you take Amundsen! His lectures are informative and interesting, and he covers some very obscure topics. The papers and project were loosely structured and easy to complete. If you want a no-nonsense professor, look elsewhere. If you want to learn about psychology while being entertained, look no further.

Professor A's class is fairly easy (if you study the chapters, as assigned), however he does have a bit of a dry personality when you email him he does not always give you a very detailed response. If you miss an assignment he does not allow you to make it up, therefore make sure that you never miss any of the important deadlines.

HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!! I RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. He doesn't believe in using the text book, therefore he doesn't make you spend extra money on buying a book! I wish ALLLL college professors were like him!!

I took Mr. Amundsen's online psych class a few years ago. Though I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him personally, he was very kind and helpful over email. He doesn't ask for a lot of homework,yet he wants your best. I wish I could have met him, but I'm glad I took his class. Therefore, I recommend Mr. Amundsen! :)

I loved his class. He does not believe in teaching by the book, incorporates hilarious stories in his teachings, and simply grades easily. I don't understand how anyone could make less than an A- in his class.

Took this class online. Did absolutely nothing and still managed to walk away with a high B. If I were to give minimal effort, I would've gotten an A. Take his online class if you just need to get psychology out of the way and don't feel like attending lecture 2-3 days a week for 16 weeks.

Took this class wintermester online and was a breeze. 3 exams, 2 papers, and about 5 DB's. If you have questions and email him he replies within minutes, he's very helpful and if you stay on top of your work you will get an A. Definitely recommend this professor and would take again.

Test are challenging. Not the typical definition and answer type. Critical thinking situational exams.

Took this class maymester and it was easier then I expected. If you want to knock this course out of the way then take this professor online! This was a 3 week course so there was only 4 tests, one book report , and 5 discussion questions. You can use the book for tests so the book is a must!

Took for wintermester has 4 tests online and 5 discussion questions . Read the whole textbook. Also 4-5pg book report on a book from list he gives. Made an A in this class. Very clear syllabus stay on track with your work and read chapter carefully and you will pass

I took this class online and it was a bit tough. You have to read a lot of chapters which I read each and every chapter and still did not do so well on the test. Questions are very challenging. Overall he responds to emails quickly and answers any questions you may have, but I think this needs to be a class taken on campus.

I loved prof. Amundsen's class! Prof. Amundsen is very clear and specific about what is important for test. The lectures consist of PowerPoints, and he will go over those as you take notes. He will even give first hand examples to help you remember certain things. The first test was the hardest, but it gets easier. Study and you'll do great!

Took Professor online (winter and maymester) for Lifespan Psych and General Psych. Best online teacher I've had. Very organized and clear on what he expects. Recommend reading chapters ahead of time because they are long. For 2314 (Lifespan) 2 five pages essays 3 Tests and a few DQs simple but time management is essential

The class syllabus is straight forward: 5 discussion posts, 4 exams, and 1 book report. This is my second time taking this teacher and they are absolutely great. Just make sure to read your book (the test references many of the textbook's text), and turn in everything when it is due.

I loved this class! Prof Amundsen did a good job of keeping the class interested and involved with lectures. Not too tough of a grader and gives good feedback.

Amazing professor! This is my second time taking him, and I always recommend him to other students. His syllabus and grading criteria is clear. I took him online, so I had to read my textbook; but overall the exam questions are reflected off the textbook. I've also heard great things of his in-class courses, so if you get the opportunity, take him.

I took his lecture class and he was really easy to get. He has a lot of passion for pysc and it really showed. He explains everything in detail and is the main reason i decided to major in pysc.

So i took an online class just to get it out of my way to get my degree as i am science major. the Class was informative, EVERYTHING is online which made it lot easier. I took same professor for psyc-1 class and it was an easy A.

I took this class online and its super easy. You don't need the textbook. The class consist of the three test, two paper, and five discussion boards. He grades the discussion boards and essays easy but the papers take a while to write because its five pages but its a easy topic. The only things I wish he did for the online was upload powerpoints.

Star Wars Psychology was probably my favorite class I've ever taken. Professor Amundsen is one of the best professors I've ever met. His desire is for his students to actually learn something, not just get a grade. He makes this very clear. Come to class and you'll likely pass.

he is a fair grader do the work and you do not have to purchase the textbook like I did unless you feel your skills in searching aren't lackluster 4 tests , 5 discussion boards , 1 book report do you best and give your effort he will not fail you If you over give your effort in what he asks

Prof. Amundsen is an awesome professor. Syllabus was uploaded a week before the start of the class. There were 4 tests, 5 discussion questions, and a book report. He grades papers fairly. Tests are tough eventhough it's an open book because the questions are mostly situational and from the test bank. Just get busy and do the work and you will get A

Best class I've taken! He's a brilliant guy! Specifically this class was over Star Wars so it was pretty fascinating and definitely not your norm PSYCH class. You do have to purchase the "textbook" but its an easy read & cheap. His lectures aren't boring at all and he'll get you thinking about stuff. + he let's use pretty much anything for tests!

I recommend taking his 8-weeks Star Wars class! He is super passionate about psychology. We only wrote two papers, posted five discussion boards, and a mid-term and final test! He was very lenient with the papers and discussion boards. Plus attendance was a portion of the grade. Such an easy A!

I took his PSYC 2301 class online and it was super easy! I was able to get the e-book for about $45 so not too bad and the class consisted of 5 discussions (easy and interesting), 4 tests (based on the book), and a book report! I would definitely recommend him!

I actually took him twice and tell everyone to take him. Hes so thoughtful and will work with you on grades if he can tell youre trying. Show up to class and participate and you wont have any issues. Seriously I might take another class just to go to his lectures.

Super easy class. Everything is very clear and the requirements were not overwhelming. I was a little disappointed that she didnt grade the book report (a plagiarism system graded the paper), but other than that I would take her again.

Took this professor for PSYC 2301 and 2314, did the online FLEX 8 week classes and got A's in both! Super easy, really recommend. Class only consists of a few discussion boards, 2 papers, and 3 exams. Quizlet helps with the exams and the discussion boards are easy. Loved him!!

I took his online PSYC 2314, one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. If you do your work and turn it in online you will definitely pass his class. Great teacher, he responded to my emails the same day!

4 tests, 1 book report and 2 discussion boards if I recall. I took this class over the summer and don't regret it one bit, very good at responding as well. Get a jump start on the book report since it must consist of 1500 words.

I am a psychology major; this is a mandatory class for me. I was happy I had him as my professor! He was nice, his lectures were great, always take notes because a lot of it is on the test. His test were easy because he actually gives you a review and goes over it with the class before the test. I really enjoyed his class, he never made it boring!

I wish there a 25 point extra credit option.

I took Professor Amundsen for Wintermester online, the class was very easy. 5 Discussion Boards, 4 Tests, 1 Book Report. It was very easy, the hardest thing was the book report, because I procrastinated, but I still got an A on it. He's a very easy grader. Just do the work, and you'll be good.

I took his psychology class in 2009 and 15 years later I still think of his class often. He was not only an educator, but he inspired his students. Encouraged us to look at things from a different perspective. Since there's a word limit here, let me just say this one thing... Christian's class changed me. And I'm forever grateful for that.
