I took Professor Rojas "Finance 100" last semester , I would say this is the best business course I ever had in BMCC. I learnt solid finance knowledge and excel skills from his finance lectures. I strongly recommend all business students take his class, you will learn a lot of useful finance knowledge. Last thing! everything is based on excel!

Professor De Rojas is hands down the best professor I have had. He is tough and gives a lot of homework but his methods kept me focused. Took prof. De Rojas for BUS 210, it was the most helpful and informative class Ive taken during my time at BMCC. Be prepared to do a reasonable amount of homework that eventually benefits you. I have taken Bus 110, FNB 100 and BUS 220 with Prof. Rojas. It is a very tough class, however the amount of work you put into the course with depend how hard the class can be. You put in the work it will reflect on your grade. I highly recommend Prof. Christian de Rojas to anyone.

I worked really hard in Professor Rojas' class as he gave as multiple homeworks about each topic covered in BUS220 and them were due at the beginning of each class. However, I learned so much in BUS220 because the Professor lectures and materials he handed out to the class were very easy to understand and useful to complete homeworks on Excel.

This is not an easy class; more formulas than FNB 230 to memorize , you have to understand the underlying concepts such as Option Strategies, and you have to learn Excel. Honestly, one the of best professors in BMCC (if not the best). Yes, he does give homework, but they are as straight forward as the lessons he teaches. In this class, the professor gives homework every day after the lecture is done. Excel is required for every homework and we learn the basic functions and we learn how to insert a graph with the data that we gather and how to use the = function. Excel is also used in the lecture that the professor gives about Annuity and reinvestment.

There was no sugarcoating that the class was excel intensive. Grading relied heavily on homework assignments that are assigned every day. This class is going to be hard but you learn SO much so be prepared!

This class was amazing! Homeworks&exams were straightforward, all based on lectures. BUT IT REQUIRES YOU STUDY AND LISTEN LECTURES.The professor is kind,respectful,and teaches from experience. PARTICIPATION/CAMERA ON ARE MUST THINGS. If you're motivated and willing to work, this class is perfect for you. Also, daily hw are based on lectures.:)

My favorite professor, he is super knowledgeable and gives you advice that will help you succeed in this career path. This class is excel intensive but he teaches very thoroughly to make sure you understand the material. You will do well in this class if you are a hard worker, dont miss class and pay attention. Choose him if you want to be ahead.

This was my second time taking BUS210 and Prof.Rojas made the material extremely easy to understand!!However this doesn't mean things just get handed to you, it's important to actively pay attention and participate in the course to comprehend everything. It's strictly excel/math. There is homework everyday so be prepared & manage your time wisely.

I love this course I was taking FNB 100 with the same work but was just so much easier to understand coming from this professor. There are no suprised so the course is really easy just make sure you pay attention!

Christian de Rojas is an outstanding professor. The course is formula-heavy. You must stay on top of your homework and participate in lectures. He is calm and patient, always willing to answer questions. Just be prepared for a few sports analogies along the way! I highly recommend Professor de Rojas for BUS 210. We had homework after every class. The most fun was the Trading Competition. I would recommend to team up with someone from the beginning. This class is solely Excel based, very intense. I put a lot of work in and have learned a lot. If you are into finance this professor will be great for you. Always available outside of class hours by email.

At first, I was very worried about this class because it wasn't in my field. However, professor's encouragement and support helped me stay focused and engaged. HW was manageable, and the two projects and competition made the class more interesting. patience, Excel, clarified. Thank you for making this class an enjoyable and enriching experience.

Yes, he assignes homework after every class and you need to be working hard, especially in excel, throughout the course to understand and be at the top, but he is fair grader, he cares about students and helps them. This course was very interesting and I learned a lot! I learned how to use Excel and did Excel based homework as well as regular homework twice a week. Standards are high but as long as you try and you're timely as well as professional Professor de Rojas will help you excel academically!

Professor de Rojas is an excellent professor. There is homework assigned every class based on EXACTLY the lecture from that class. The class is very clear and so is his grading criteria. Excel based and he is very proficient with Excel so the way he explains is very easy to understand. He breaks everything down and will go over twice if needed.:)

I enjoyed and learned from his class. We often needed to use Excel for his homework assignments, which were a lot, and it also gave us exams. Sometimes, it's a bit hard to understand, but he does review it afterward. However, his class was great overall.

Professor De Rojas is one of the BEST PROFESSORS I have taken. This class is excel heavy but if you are going into business you will need to know excel. He is a thorough teacher and teaches you exactly what he gives you on an exam there are no surprises. I will definitely take this class again. He's strict on deadlines but that's good we need that

This is not my first class with Professor De Rojas. He is very responsible and explains everything clearly. Expect daily Excel assignments—detailed and time-consuming. The class is high difficulty, but I learned a lot. Lecture recordings and a helpful TA made it manageable. I worked hard. Highly recommended if you're willing to put in the effort.

hands down the best professor i've ever had. always kept it professional with students and treated us with respect. taught some excel and detailed business concepts, such as FFR rate, federal reserve, CPI. every class contained useful information. uses email and is very fast in replying. he could make a lecture about paint drying interesting.

This is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. The course is very detail-oriented, challenging, and Excel-heavy, but it is extremely rewarding. You absolutely have to put in the work, there are frequent assignments and you will be using Excel extensively but if you attend lectures, and work consistently, you will do great.

Professor Rojas has made the rules very clear since the beginning. We get homework every day (extensive Excel-based assignments), and it is mandatory to be on time. I worked very hard in this class and did every assignment. He lets us practice in class so that we understand the process. If you do what you're supposed to, you will get an A.
