Great teacher, very nice and helpful. But hard exams and there's a quiz every week.

Dr.Hart is very knowledgeable in his field, but, if you are the type of student that prefers structured lectures then you may not like his classes. He speaks very fast & his exams are tricky. I already have BA(psych) from UCLA, but got a B in his class.

nice and approchable professor, but class lectures are well organized. talks fast and tests and moderately difficult. i suggest you record lectures if u take him.

Passionate and knowledgable about his work. He does talk a bit fast sometimes, and his tests can be hard. His weekly quizzes are easy. If you're looking for an easy A, look elsewhere. If you're really interested in learning about Psych, this is your guy.

lectures were clear, quizzes after each chapter, but they are simple if you read the chapter... it is an interesting class and not hard to pass, curved grades

This was one hardest classes I ever took. He specializes in test taking so you can't complain about his tests. The tests are usually based on trival passages in the text that nobody reads. I never work so hard in class but ended up with a C. Take Neswald!

i loved this teacher!! tests r hard but if you study well and take good notes you'll be fine...talks a little fast but is very clear and genuinely wants you to understand. office hrs. really help....take him, he is a great teacher!

He loves what he teaches; therefore, he's very helpful. A lot of material to know for tests/not easy at all.

Fun teacher, young guy. Talks fast but no need for notes because he puts them on his website. Quiz after each chapter but they're all easy and give you easy points. Curves the tests. Very good teacher, changed my major from business to psych.

The man is bizarre. Sure you learn about clinical psych, but you can gain the exact same knowledge from the book. The man wasn't around for a week and a half, which was fine if it werent for the fact that he gave us AN EXAM and A FINAL on the same day without a proper review in class or on his site.

Good teacher. Very informative. Willignto talk if you have questions. You'll get full credit on the assignments as long as you turn them in. Assignments are only 1 page. Tests are hard and on minute details from the text. Teacher tells lots of interesting stories.

He teaches on a grad. course level, and ab. psych is a tricky subject. Take it if you're really into it, but there IS reading and note-taking to be done. He means the best & will listen to you. Loves to integrate class discussions into lecture as long as you have something intelligent to contribute.

Exams and quizzes are extremely easy.

He is not a very good teacher. He talks really fast and a lot times goes on a tangent and rambles. Has outlines to help follow, but isn't very clear to what is important. So tests are hard because you have to read everything and know little details.

He is one of the best teachers that I have come across. He is not easy, but if you are intrested in pursing Psychology he would be a great proffessor to write a letter of recomendation. I find the class to be challenging and he really knows his stuff! He makes it really fun.

Hey, I don't understand why some people here talk that negative about him. He knows his stuff and he is a very good teacher, he makes it funny and it's not boring. Of course it's hard, but the people which are lazy, I mean, it's their own fault. If you learn, you will be good. In general for every class. He helps me a lot.

Ok, who ever said he was horrible and got a bad grade probably did not care about the class and probably did not read the book. Book: The book is very forward and easy to understand. I loved Dr. Hart. He is very knowledgeable but also has a great personality. Plus, he throws in a lot of personal stories which make the material come to life. It's not hard to get an A especially if you care about the material. I definitely recommend him.

Dr. Hart is really nice, and very LA!! he grades his class on a bell curve, so that onlt 10% get A's 20% B's etc. He's funny too, and interresting, so even if you hate psych, it's easy to get an A if you read the book

Dr. Hart is an incredible teaching, very willing to help his students. Outstanding. It is easy to get an A if you read the book, not just for completion, but also for understanding. The quizzes help as well as the study guide. The quizzes force you to read the book. Overall, A++

He is so nice. Of course it's hard, because it's a science class, but you can get an A if you read the book and study. We're in college, the ones who work, get the results. He's sweet. I def recommend his class.

Most interesting class I've ever taken. He is so nice and helpfull and really cares for his students. Questions are encouraged and respected. He is so knowledgeable and smart. Listen to his lectures and you will be prepared for tests, even though he talks very fast.

He is a cool guy. Uses his own homepage website for his lecture notes and other fun stuff. But, he is not an easy teacher. He speaks too fast and sometimes is unclear. Overall he is not bad. If your there to handle you buisness then you'll be fine.

He is very helpful if you go to his office hours. He teaches the class in a way that makes abnormal psych easy to comprehend and cares very much about his students. Take him. If you are absent and have a valid excuse he understands. The tests aren't bad either. Just write your Reaction Papers!!!

Wonderful teacher. Difficult if you're unaccustomed to studying and doing essays, but the basic knowledge is there for anyone who would care to listen. A caring, intelligent man, happy to answer any questions and even give out supplimental material via his website. Talks fast sometimes because of time, but I would definitely commend him.

Learning about psychology has been a "hobby" of mine, and his class was great. I didn't pass and I still think he's a great prof! I'm retaking the course, since my time is now available for all the reading you must keep up with. His tests aren't easy when you haven't read the textbook. He speaks fast, but it didn't bother me.

He is also very helpul if you go in during office hours and he really cares about his students and wants themto do well. 5 papers and a 20pt xtra credit paper

Proffesor Hart is the most adorable teacher in the world. If you wanta better udnerstanding of the basics to psych 101, Take him. If you want to progress in life and have a fun time take him. Do the readings assigned, and come to tests with scantrons. Hart is NOT a pushover, but definetely the best teacher i have had in my life.

DO NOT take this class unless you are ready. This guy is a great teacher but he is VERY hard, i enjoyed his class but it was one of the toughest that i have taken. *edit Checking later I found I got a B Tough stuff but good!

Classes rely on lectures,book reading gives you an idea about the lectures. simple if you pay attention.

YOu have to take this class to believe it! He is an awesome professor! He makes class fun, grades on a curve and conducts regular quizez, so that you are in regular touch with your course AND you have enough opportunities to make up your grade!

A great teacher, very interesting, and has a clear enthusiasm for teaching. His tests are a bit tricky even if you know the concepts, but the experience was very valuable.

Excellent teacher. Great for psych 1 or smc beginners. Patient, helpful, enthusiastic. Was always willing to help students after class or in after hours. I highly recommend him!!!

He's really nice and its obvious that he loves what he's teaching. No homework, just read the required chapters and listen to his lectures and you'll get an A or a B. I got a B- because I was absent a lot. If you show up, you'll get a A.

Yes, we all know he talks fast, however, if you ask him to slow down he will. He is extremely nice and very dedicated. If you are interested in abnormal psych and want to really learn take him! Tests are kinda hard, but if you just read over the chapters a lot you will be fine! Take him! You wont regret it!

Prof. Hart is very nice and takes time to talk to students and help out. If you study properly from the text book then it's possible to get an A. He teaches pretty well and he enjoys what he teaches. Multiple choice tests, not very difficult.

He talks 100 miles per hour. I took his class twice and failed both times. I think the tests did it, they have a lot of multiple choice questions that are VERY TRICKY where you think you aced it but actually failed. If you think you can B.S. your way to an A in this class, you're wrong. He's not a pushover AT ALL and there is no negotiating.

Great teacher! He talks like a machine gun so you really have to pay attention in class. But he's one of the most motivated and animated professors I've ever had. I thought it was easy as long as you come to class and actually listen to what he tells you! I got an A.

he is a great teacher. always makes class interesting by conversating rather than just reading off the text book. quizzes and test make up your grade. if you study you will do great.

Hart is a great teacher. He can make anyone interested in psychology and for a psych-major he's a blessing! Lectures are fascinating, he's always open for questions, and grades are curved. Tests are fine if you read the book. One-page papers provide easy points that help your grade. Take this class!

RIP Christian Hart- what a gift it was to be graced with your presence. You were one of the most genuinely passionate, knowledgeable professors I have yet to come by. You are a gem. You will always be very dear to me. You are greatly missed.

RIP Dr. Hart. You were a constant inspiration when I was in your Psych 1 and Abnormal Psych classes. And afterwards, when I consulted you about my future educational goals. Your candle burned so bright that it almost hurts to look at your picture on this site. You lit the way for so many of us. Your loss is going to hurt for a long, long time.

RIP Dr. Hart - You were always so alive, happy, and bigger than life, that it's a shock to find out that you're gone. You touched the lives of everyone around you and were an inspiration to me. You were always there with a smile for your students, even if it was just to chat. You will be sorely missed. God bless you.
