This professor is just AMAZING, he explains on a way that even if you are usually bad at Math you will understand, he is VERY helpful and concerns about his students! If you have the chance to choose him as your prof just GO FOR IT !

you must attend class. you dont have to buy the book but buy the online code for homework. YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK he knows you are trying wen he sees homework done. he helps you get 3 extra points for every test when you meet him up at the math lab. he is very helpful and will help you pass.

This class is mostly online, its not a lectured class. You're basically doing everything on your own. If you ask him for help, he will help you until you understand. He's a great teacher. Very inspirational as well. He makes math look slightly less like Chinese.

I'm not good in math I'm more of a writing and reading person but when it came to down to his class I can honestly say I learned a lot... Although I learned most of it through the math lab, when I needed help he went over the material with me until I got it down pack... He is straight forward when it comes to how to pass his Class... EASY CLASS!!!!

Math is not my thing, but he made it bareable. He loves his stuff and makes math less scary. I had some crappy teachers before who came to class and read from the book, but not him. He writes on the board, gives short lecture then goes around asking you "how you doing? Do you need help with something?" . He tries to help you just show interest

The class was simple to understand. It provided step by step help, plus outside links to videos and other explanations. The professor was easily understandable. He provided lessons and advice, not only for math, but for life in general.

It's crash course for all the math you need for the PERT and helps you out if you got a remedial math class. The class is mostly composed of the usage of the ALEKS program but we do have mini group lessons on topics he sees that we should be learning and have struggled with via the results of the assessment you take in the first day of class.

Professor Jarquin is great, if you ask for help he will help you, from time to time another professor comes in to help who's also great. He helps the students stay on track. The text book is not used but you need and online code.

You can tell hes passionate about what he does so it makes the class more interesting. Not a harsh grader and is always willing to do more for the class.

Professor Jarquin is a straightforward professor, he's very understanding if you communicate with him. There is a final project which you will do throughout the year about creating a business and doing market research and you will use statistical methods to create a business plan. There is mymathlab and he gives good exam reviews.

TAKE THIS PROFESOR! He really cares about your success in his class. There was a group project at end which was hard but doable. He gives extra credit for you doing the review, participating in class, and a lot of other little things. Do the extra credit stuff! MEMORIZE THE TEST STUDY GUIDES, the tests are basically the same as the study guides.

Prof Jarquin is probably the best math professor I have taken class with. You really learn a lot in his classes and the tests are exactly like the reviews. 100% recommended.

He is the sweetest, most caring teacher! I truly loved his class, it taught me a lot on personal finance, things they don't teach you in math classes anymore. You'll learn about mortgages, car loans, credit, stocks etc. You cant tell he wants to inspire and help others have a debt-free life. Would take another class like this if I could!!MGF1107

I thought this was going to be an easy class, but don't get fooled. You have to read the book, do a ton of online homework and Tests matter. I thought I was going to sit through an easy A but I had to work hard form my C.

Gives extra credit opportunities. Amazing teacher! Recommend him to everyone. Sad it was a short term. Had a group project, but he explains what is needed to be done and not something to stress over. GO TO THE MATH LAB IF YOU NEED HELP. Ask him questions, he cares to answer ALL questions. TAKE HIM. Class books up quickly. No regrets!

Hes an excellent professor, Ill recommend to anybody whos looking for a great professor. The subject was statistics, which was hard but he made it easy to understand. If you ask for help hell help you out the best way he can. Theres a final group presentation which is heavily weighted but if done together, it can be easy

He a great teacher and teaches you so you can learn the material. If can get a bit stressful towards the end with a group project, on top of online homework, ON TOP OF a final exam. But as long as you pace yourslef, do the homeworks before the test, and do your reviews, you'll get a lot out of this class. You certainly have to work for your grade.

I just finished up with this class it was online but the professor Jarquin was very caring and forgiving I was able to redo a quiz which I thanked him for. His quiz are wrong 60% of our grade but I made it through the semester his is great professor.

I loved this professor so much! He really cares about his students and tries to put stats into an easy language. He gives pop quizzes but only like 2. There are 4 tests and a final but he gives a study guide that is exactly like the test. The class is more vocabulary than actual math. If you participate in class he gives EC. Very helpful and kind!

Professor Jarquin is an excellent professor. He is respectful, organized, and caring. If you are in need of help he will help you understand the material clearly. The homework is online, and he does tell you to read the textbook. There is also a group statistical project throughout the term. Do your work, pay attention, don't skip, and you'll pass

The professor was amazing I took him twice and now taking him for a third time. He is very helpful and does not judge at all. He cares about you and likes to help all the time and will not make you feel bad. Gives reviews before exams and goes over them. The exams are simple if you pay attention in class and they are multiple choice.

he's awesome! midterm and final are proctored, quiz & discussion for each chapter, is very understanding and wants you to pass. all hw on mymathlab. Also great at sending emails as reminders, or to just keep you up to date on the class. replies to emails in timely manner. would take again!

Get a head start on the hw assignments. Participate as much as possible for EC. I've never seen a teacher at MDC give so much extra credit. You get what you put into the class. I felt bad for him that students were not proactive and rude. He's a great teacher & cares! Show up on time. Attendance is graded. 4 exams through lockdown browser.

So, it's a long story but I ended up getting dropped from the class, added and dropped again. It was my fault and I ended up missing two exams. He was SO kind about it. He jumped through hoops to get me back in the class and when I withdrew he was still really patient and understanding. I'm excited to take 1106 from him. He really cares. TAKE HIM.

This professor is really nice. He is respectful and tries to understand the student's schedules and works around it with the tests. We did a vote for the mini tests whether we are available to do it at a specific time. I really appreciated that because it gave me more time to study. I learned a lot and hope to have him in the future.

I had this professor my first semester semester of college in the morning and absolutely loved how he teaches. He makes sure that students are fully comprehending what the lesson was. Make sure to do test reviews as they will help you so much for the test as it has the same layout. Do the hw assignments for extra credit. Definitely recommend him.

Very easy class! Homework is not due till towards the end of the course. Quick to respond to messages. 6 quizzes (not proctored), both mid-term and final are proctored, every single one of them has a review. HIGHLY recommend studying them!!! They are incredibly helpful when it comes testing time because they are VERY similar.

I have attempted to take 5+ math courses over the course of my collegiate academic career. I realized all along i was teachable, i just didn't have the right professor. Jarquin, is the right professor for you. Participation matters, Group projects are HUGE so find good class mates, and HW is easy!! WOULD TAKE AGAIN!

I would 100% recommend this professor. I have always been afraid of math, but professor taught me in a way that I was finally able to understand it. Tons of extra credit opportunities. The only thing, your grade was based off of 4 exams with 5 questions. But, if you do the reviews and go to class, you'll have no problems with passing the tests.

I would definitely take this professor again. He's very good at explaining the material and really cares that his students understand. I took the MAC1105 online class and it's composed of the midterm and final exams along with a group project you must do in order to pass the class due to not having alot of graded assignments.

I took this course for the last 8 weeks in Fall 2025. I absolutely loved this class. Christian cares for his students and he wants everyone to succeed but you HAVE TO STUDY. The tutors are always there to help also..PARTICIPATION COUNTS a lot, so get ready to go up on the board to solve some math problems. Also he used openstax instead of Pearson.

If you're looking for a good teacher this is it. He's so nice teaches well and I had an 8 week class which means there is not much time to teach and he taught it very well. Never made you feel stupid for not knowing and always gives you test review packets for each test and reviews in class so you are well prepared .
