Christian Johnson is by far one of the best professors Ive had at UTSA. She is so caring and I dont think one class day went by where she didnt ask the class how we were. She goes above and beyond what most professors do and is worth every minute of the class!

I feel she was very respected amongst all her students and she cracked jokes through out to make the class more light hearted. When giving back graded work she put notes that were easy to read and easy to follow.

Ms. Johnson is an amazing professor. She is quite young so she can relate to us college students. My favorite thing about her last semester was that she cares more that the students understand the lesson and actually apply the lesson to their daily lives instead of just grading to grade. She also gives a good amount of extra credit!

She gives you the rubric before you present your speeches. As long as you follow it, you will get a good grade. Her tests are all lecture based. There is no textbook required. Also, attendance is required, if you miss more than 2, you'll grade will go down. If you want an A, you have to work for it!

She does take her class very seriously and you do have to do work in this class but its nothing extremely hard like other classes. This Professor was not who I originally signed up for, but I am glad that I had her instead. She is clear on her expectations and is always giving good feedback, even outside of class. She isn't a tough grader but still expects you to do your best. Gives out extra credit to help students as much as possible. Makes speech class fun!

Professor Johnson's objectives are to make sure you are better informed of your major, have the confidence to present yourself and what you can do (focused on job interviews), and can communicate with your peers/co-workers. She has such a fun personality, and always tries to keep you engaged in her class. BUT do not take her kindness for granted.

She is very passionate about speech, almost to the point where sometimes it seems it is the only class that matters in your life. Didn't need to use the text book. She is a naive professor and tries to relate to her students to much. This can be annoying at times, but is usually to your benefit if you miss class or homework.

Very straightforward class. As long as you follow the speech rubric and do the assignments then its almost impossible to get anything less than a B and A's are easy to get if you do extra credit. Only reason difficulty is a 2 instead of a 1 is that the class was done in the middle of a global pandemic and I'm not too great with speech in general.

This online course was easy and not stressful. All you have are Learnsmarts, quizzes, exams and a couple easy speeches. The professor is so kind and answers emails quickly. I really recommend this online course.

Everything is uploaded at the beginning for you to complete. There are three sections that take about 1-2 days to complete each one so you could realistically complete the whole thing in about a week. Tests are pretty easy, just read the chapters and you should get a good grade.

I took the 8-week course. Due dates and assignments are clear. Professor grades generously for speeches as long as you make a genuine attempt to follow the instructions. There are weekly McGraw-Hill assignments but they're fairly informative and user-friendly. I wish all online classes were as straightforward as this professor's. Highly recommend.

Professor Johnson's COM1053 is an easy, task-oriented class. With the help of resources like Learnsmarts, ChatGPT, and Unstuckstudy, you can breeze through the quizzes, exams, and speeches. Just stay on top of the work and you'll likely earn an A.

Unreasonable amount of homework, would have 5 assignments on top of a test in the week. TA does all of the grading. Assignments are easy, but will deduct points with no explanation as to why. Easy class just lots of work.

Overall easy class if you stay on top of deadlines. Total workload: 14- 10 question quizzes, 2 exams, 9 McGraw Hill concepts, 3 discussion posts, and 1 reflection paper. The McGraw Hill concepts took the longest, so don't wait until the last minute.
