Great teacher, very helpful. CTAP was easy so long as you asked questions and talked to him. Tests were super easy so long as you came to class and looked at the powerpoint. Would def take again for another ethics class.

He made class engaging, interesting and fun. This is his passion and it show in his teaching. Class was very interactive and the time flew by. He is helpful and available for questions. Would take him again.

He is a teacher who is passionate about ethics. He does not have a slant that you must adhere to to get a good grade. During the CTAP he was always available by phone for help. The only down side is that you should not expect your grades before the class is over,at the end of the semester. He will not hand work back that often.

I have to agree, there are 10 quizzes, 2 case reports(which should of been 4), after every chapter there are review questions(which if you do them, get an A on the questions automatically), CTAP was a lot of writing but he made himself available 24/7, and a final project and another long paper, lots of writing but awesome class and teacher!!

This teacher is awesome!! Very friendly, open and honest about the course contet while making it relevent to our daily life. There are review questions and quizes but they are easy if you pay attention and show up to class. He is a little bit of a procrastinator on grades but was available 24/7 during Ctap time and was extremely helpful.

He is really great at explaining things you don't understand. Test are easy as long as you do the review questions from the textbook. You can argue if you don't think you deserve a bad grade as long as it is a good argument. He digresses a bit but it makes the class interesting.

Awesome teacher! Loved going to this class. Very interesting & engaging. Review Qs for each chapter are graded for completion. As long as you pay attention in class & do review Qs you'll ace quizzes. Only had to do 1 case study, 2 papers & 1 presentation. No mid term/final. Great class! Would definitely take a class from this professor again!!!

This guy is awesome! His class was the highlight of my college experience so far. His only flaw is that he procrastinates on grading, but his many great qualities more than make up for the delays.

Interesting and engaging, he made the course very enjoyable. Homework outside the class is virtually nonexistent, aside from the CTAP. Highly recommended. By far, the best teacher I've had since I've started college. Plus, he's pretty easy on the eyes.

HE IS AWESOME! I have him this semester and he is hilarious, he doesn't make a big deal about attendance but he does assign homework and quizzes (that are easy A's for the most part) a lot so you kind of have to go to class every day. He accepts late work too, so pretty much he helps you out as long as you give the effort.

His class was fun to go to and I looked forward to going to class. He was able to explain things well. He cracks dumb jokes but he is funny.

This teacher made each class memorable. He was always available when I needed help. He had personality to go with his knowledge of ethics. I will always consider him to be one of the best teachers ever. I highly recommend him. He made learning fun. I was always excited to go to class. I wish all teachers made me feel that way.

Absolutely loved this professor! really funny and very nice. Responds to email, always nice and very helpful. Explains everything clear and doesn't mind if you ask a lot of question. I would definitely recommend!

HIGHLY highly recommend taking this professor. Does his best to make ethics interesting and always available and beyond willing to help. Homework and quizzes are fairly easy; as long as you pay attention,they're easy As. Takes late work. Only downside is he takes forever to grade CTAP but I think everything else makes up for it.

Awesome professor keeps you involved even at 8am in the morning which is kind of hard.Good interaction,laid back and you actually learn,very intelligent guy gives a lot of examples to relate to real life.Thought he was a little strict on CTAP but I suck at writing anyways but would highly recommend, definetly take him.

Actually made an online Ethics class fun and interesting. Assignments are easy and so are the tests. Very hard to fail if you do the work. Provides excellent feedback. If he taught more courses, I'd take them all.

Worth retaking!! Always on time haha If your smart enough to to write a research paper without plagiarizing you will do fine. Awesome guy. Funny, expands your horizons and really makes you think. Tests can be tricky. 6 quizzes, a mid term, 2 case studies and a final presentation. Kinda a lot to squeeze into one semester, wouldn't dare advise take an express class, if he's got one. Offers extra credit multiple times but a pretty easy A.

Moriarty is a great teacher. He is very clear on our assignments. I took him for ethics that was half online and half in class so I only had class once a week. He is funny and knows his stuff. Few tests basically just opinionated ones online. 2 papers to right and discussion posts every week.

Moriarty is a hilarious teacher, he is very fair. His quizzes are short and easy and his tests come from powerpoints. He raises many ethical debates, but he never reveals his stance on any subject which allows for more creative and less one-sided arguments. I would take him again in a heartbeat.

Lots and Lots of EC! One 2000 words paper, pay attention to his rubric and you will be good. Lots of weekly homework, and he paces you (which I'm not a big fan of), but it was interesting work and as long as you get it done and turn it in on time (which he also works with you to adjust if needed) you get an A. Midterm and final weren't too crazy.

He defiantly is there for the students and offers help often. I personally found his quizzes quite difficult but that's just me. He is very clear on what he is talking about and gives you all the powerpoints. The midterm your able to have a cheat sheet and one paper its pretty big but not bad at all! Great class and professor!

This professor is very helpful and available; even if you take this course online. Every chapter has a 10 question quiz, mid-term, and final, but the quizzes and final are taken at home. Probably wouldn't have so much homework and reading if I took the class face to face. Super nice man and will work with you; don't forget the extra credit!

Ethics has become, by far, my favorite subject. Professor Moriarty is a treasure at SPC, if you have to take ethics this is the guy you want to do it with! There is a test and homework on every chapter as well as a 2000 word case study but he gives you plenty of time to get it all done. Honestly, do the work (which isn't hard) and you'll pass!

This class is almost purely discussion based. Every 2 or so chapters there's a quiz. The 1st half of the coarse is based on the book and after each chapter there are review questions that will be assigned. Moriarty is an easy grader and is very approachable. as long as you give some effort you'll get a good grade. I got 100% plus extra credit.

Professor Moriarty was a wonderful instructor. His passion, enthusiasm and knowledge made us want to participate, and the class, itself, provided useful tools for being a more objective, empathetic human being. The homework load was not too heavy. The most difficult assignment was the case study paper, but if you follow the rubrik, it is not bad.

I love Moriarty. he was the only professor I've ever looked forward to. His class is an easy A and his questions that he assigns you from the book is enough to help you through a test. He has a good sense of humor, makes lectures interesting, and adds tons of jokes in his tests even. 10/10 would recommend!

This was my first online class. I took him for applied ethics and was so super pleased. Respond to emails really quickly but he writes you back in detail explaining everything it help you. The entirety of the class assignments were posted 2 days before school started. midterm and final open book and open notes. Plenty of extra credit opportunity.

A fabulous individual. He sticks to the syllabus provided at the beginning of the course, injects his signature meme-y "dad" jokes into most things, and explains everything clearly. The case study & final project are simple if you adhere to his instructions and reach out to him with any questions. Would 1000% take his class again!

He's the best instructor I've had so far in college. He makes class interesting and makes you feel comfortable participating and asking questions. The assignments really aren't hard, just time consuming. You do need to study for the quizzes, but they aren't overtly difficult either. He's really genuine, knowledgeable and wants everyone to succeed.

Took Honors Ethics with Professor Moriarty, and it was amazing! Very much based on group discussions with little reading from the text books. Grades are based off participation in class with two large research papers due towards the end of the course. Totally take this man's class. You won't regret it!

Professor Moriarty is very good at what he does. You can really tell from the first day he has a heart for teaching and willingness to help out in any way possible. Took the online class that was 4 weeks and it was a great experience. I would definitely take his class again, an he was SO easy to reach. One time I emailed him with a question and he replied within 15 minutes. Every time I emailed him he got back to me within a 2 hour window. Great professor, highly recommend! Class made me think after I left it.

I happened to get Prof. Moriarty by chance because of something regarding the professor I enrolled into the class for but it was a change I enjoyed. Prof. Moriarty kept the class very lively and interesting. The topics are engaging and while the homework can get tedious it's nothing too difficult. I would highly recommend him. A great professor.

I took this class online. There are a lot of papers and quizzes weekly. Short 8-week class so it goes by quick. Don't take another writing class with it as i did. With that being said he gives great feedback. Follow the directions for each assignment and you will do well. I got an A. I highly suggest him. He gives a lot of extra credit.

I took this class over the winter term and it was a lot of work because of the 4 week time crunch but I managed to get an A :). He is a great teacher and the classwork he assigns is fun and interesting. This course was writing heavy ( with 4-6 papers ), discussions, and module assignments. The grading rubric is simple and he gives extra credit :)

He made ethics enjoyable to learn and I would take his class again if I could. You will need the textbook for the entire course. Make sure to do every assignment and read his instructions and you'll do great.

In this class, I learned how to use effective communication and critical thinking in problem-solving ethical issues. Professor Moriarty has excellent communication with his students, and he is always available to help. I expected this class to be boring. But the professor kept it fun and straightforward that I ended up enjoying this subject.

I had Professor Moriarty for Honors Studies in Applied Ethics and it was live on zoom because of covid-19. He made the classes interesting and participative. Everyone has a chance to taught and ask questions during class. Professor Moriarty is a really nice guy and he provides so many extra credit opportunities.

I would take this teacher for every single class if I could. There was a fair (and I mean fair) amount of work. Expectations were also fair. His feedback was amazing & encouraging & he was quick to grade/respond/encourage. He offers extra credit but if you read & do everything on time, you won't need it. Professor Moriarty is a professor who genuinely cares about your success and well-being. There are only a couple of assignments per week, and he provides many supplemental resources outside of the textbook to help you truly understand the concepts. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit, and gives helpful feedback. I definitely recommend!

I took the studies in applied ethics online class spring 2021. I really recommend taking this class. Very easy grader, 1 quiz a week, Dropbox once a week. The midterm was all type out your answers (proctored). Final exam was multiple choice (not proctored). Take professor Moriarty!

He is a great professor. I would take him again. It is not a hard class, but also not the typical Ethics class. The material is interesting with a lot of different information for each topic that was read and/or discussed. He responds quickly to emails and is a very reasonable person.

LOVED professor Moriarty for studies in applied ethics. He seriously gives you more extra credit than you need but they are all fun and give you a good boost if you need it. Textbook has assignments in it so you have to buy it. Meetings are really fun, you get to chat with the professor and other students on different topics. Easy A so take him!

Prof Moriarty was nice and seemed to care about ethics, but wasnt very involved. My friend and I took the class together and realized we got identical feedback regardless of what we wrote. Class is easy just a few discussion posts, quizzes are graded on completion. Midterm was somewhat difficult, all short answer questions.

I also started off with a very low grade in his class which was my fault but he gave me the chance to turn it around and gives extra credit and grace. I never met him but he seems like a nice guy.

Professor Moriarty was amazing! He's clear on grading criteria, but also quite flexible on grading and doesn't care about due dates. He does take a bit to grade. Very understanding of adverse situations and easily reachable. Offers a TON of extra credit. Clearly very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject. Fun lectures (I hated missing class).

Taking Professor Moriarty will be one of the best decisions you'll ever make at SPC. He is truly one of the kindest, most fair people I've ever known. His class is extremely interesting. You will have fun if you apply yourself. There is a chapter reading/discussion each week. He is awesome about extra credit and providing any help you need.

Professor Moriarty's class is structured well with engaging discussions. Assignments are clear and the grading is fair. Definitely use Unstuck AI for study prep - it's a great resource alongside the textbook.

Super good dude. Gives assignment feedback and is very encouraging. The course work is a fair amount, but the way it is done has you in a position to control your own grading destiny.

I took this course online and it was pretty easy! What will take you the longest to do is do the McGraw Hill assignments for your textbook questions but his assignments are easy and straight forward! I definitely recommend taking his online course!

This is a fantastic professor! His class work is very straightforward, and his assignments were fun. He is very understanding and willing to work with you when life situations arise. He is a 10 out of 10 professor, and I'd be more than willing to take another class with him.

Took online. Lots of extra credit and be prepared to write. Hard not to get an A in this class. 1st exam was lengthy and all writing. 2nd exam was multiple choice. Accepts reasonably late assignments. I love this professor and class definitely recommend.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PROFESSORS EVER! I took him online, but had the pleasure to meet him in person at one of the many extra credit opportunities he offered. He was super funny, and answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. Ethics tackles heavy topics, but he is very non-biased and encourages all points of view. Super easy and fun class!
