this class was hard and i worked my butt off. went to extra help every week and dr.wurst was very helpful. so far the best professor i've ever had. i thought the class was hard and he gave a lot of homework. it was all worth the grade i got. i recommend him!

not the most difficult class.go to study sessions to pass exams.go to class in order to know whats due, he falls behind, he stoped giving homework after the first midterm because he couldnt work BB.the project during the end of sem.is tough his tutors are the GREATEST!theyll help step by step. expect to work on project least 3 days 3 hours a day.

Accounting isn't easy, so if you go to the study sessions you get to know Wurst and he is soooo helpful and a professor that really wants his students to do well. If you just show up to class and don't put any effort in you will fail. Do the homework and go to the study sessions and you will pass easily.

He told jokes more than he taught class. By the time class was over we hardly learned anything. I advise you to go to the study sessions!! He is very helpful, he wants you to do good. But this class was hard...you better study and practice problems.

A good guy, great teacher, but sometimes gets off topic with random current events. Otherwise, he is helpful and practically gives you the exams. You should be able to read the chapters and study a little for this class.

Don't listen to these other people. His class is tough but you will get an A if you work. You must pay attention in class and do all the homework assignments. If you do, you will get an A. He has a big curve which helps too. He is very helpful if you go to his office hours. He is pretty funny in class too, not boring like other accounting teachers

The work was very difficult but Prof. Wurst made it interesting and easy to learn. He even had a special study session for anyone who wanted to attend to help us. I wish that he taught more accounting classes because I would try to be in everyone of them.

Explains the material in much further detail than the book, and is very helpful if you are unsure about anything. He gives alot of work, but explains it in detail, which makes the whole topic much easier to understand.

Very nice guy. Gives lots of work (3 hw projects, about 20-30 problems each, long final project). Has a study group that can be helpful. Tests are difficult. Should try to do a little more teaching and a lot less messing around cuz u dont learn nothin.

hes a good guy, he does go off topic but hes helpful. his review sessions help alot and are definitly worth it, he gave many opportunities for extra credit points, but he does give alot of homework which was good practice for the exams. if you want to do well you will have to work at it. i learned something in this class, and earned my grade.

Who ever thinks he is a bad professor means they didnt make an effort in the class. His class was very easy and gave a lot of extra credit. He gives a lot of work, but if you do the work the midterm and final will be easy for you.

OK, so the Undergrads here are whining about the work, I took him for the MBA Core, barely scraped B- for both stats and accounting but got this class fairly well because of him. Bottom line for grad students - he's perfect because he knows WHY you're taking the course, teaches for you to have the background but not to be accountants. MUST take!

EXCELLENT professor. yea he talked alot of BS, but he's funny and class wasn't so boring. I like that he made it east to get a good grade. Just do the homework and stay on top of things, and you will do well. he also gives extra credit and you're allowed to have a full page cheat sheet on the tests. u can write WHATEVER u want on it.

I dont know what these people are talking about. Wurst lays everything out at the beginning of the semester and sticks to his plans. His class wasn't hard and he took extra time every day to go over practice problems and answer any questions. He's one of the best professors at temple. I give him an A.

He was a really good teacher. He explained everything and tried to answer problems and questions we had during class. He is very strict on attendance, but goes over everything during class. So , if you miss a day, you better find out what happened because most likely will be on the middterm or the final.

Rambles all day about his dogs, hunting, and how he dislikes most of temple. You may not get much out of most of the classes you go to, but when he does teach he is good. The HW portfolio is alot of work so stay caught up on that...offered my class alot of e.c. which helped out greatly. Go to the review sessions, you will learn alot at them.

he may not teach all 45mins of class but he trys to keep you interested. if you get to understand the little tricks he teaches you in class it will help you the whole semster. do the homework project (if you go to the TAs they will help you A LOT. you just have to ask) he gives extra credit and grades fair. for ACCT1 he is a must.

Top notch professor. I don't know what people are talking about...he gives a lot of homework and his class takes time, but as a teacher he is amazing. His class clarifies key points while being extremely entertaining (It is honestly like an informative stand up comedy act!)

I loved his class. Although he is extremely arrogant and needs an attitude adjustment he is a great professor, and tries to keep his class interesting. I would definitely take him again.

I really enjoyed his class, sometimes he can get off topic which is distracting but other then that he's great. Accounting itself is hard but Wurst has A LOT of extra credit opportunities to get a good grade, and he also makes himself overly available to help you out. Alright so either you love him or you hate hime...Make sure you ALWAYS do the extra credit, he adds it onto you final grade! Extremely fair, on our final he took away the last 20 questions because another section got the answers from a typo mistake! The work is strenuous and the material is hard, don't fall behind! Well you want to drop the class the first couple of weeks because you get 1/2 wrong on his ICE's and CMQs that you spend all night doing. But stick through it, he goes over every question for the exam for both the midterm and finals, and they are most of your grade. He also gives out mad extra credit points at the end of the semester.

While the subject matter is very hard, I thought Wurst was absolutely the best at teaching it. He was able to really explain and relate financial accounting very easily and I was able to finally understand the material. He was a retake as I had gotten a D- before and I ended up getting an A in his class. Just remember DEAD and you will be fine.

Great professor..the only reason ppl say hes bad is bc they're the losers who don't: go to class, pay attention and do the work. If you do everything especailly the spoonfed extra credit you will be fine! There is a tutoring center and TAs to help, theres no reason to fail. His name says it all..He was the worst!I didn't learn anything at all in this class.He tries to make jokes that are not funny and most of the time side tracks and does not talk about accounting. He's very self absorbed and not helpful, I would recommend finding anyone other than him to take the class from.

take his advice - do the homework until you understand it, come to class even though attendance isnt mandatory otherwise youll miss a quiz, watch the youtube videos, and take whatever extra credit he offers - if you do all of it, youll walk out with an A - it is alot of work but in the end once you understand the material it comes naturally

i adored this course, and wurst is a good professor. your choice on if you want to learn or not, but if you put forth the effort, youll be rewarded. go to him for anything at all if you need it. he is the only professor at temple who says YOUR education is the most important thing to him, and acts on it.

Wurst is the man. He is the reason that I changed majors from Finance to Accounting. The only professor to use youtube as a means of teaching. Powerpoints are useful. He is very good at explaining the concepts. Plenty of xtra credit. Says that your education is the most important thing to him, as it should be for you also. TAKE HIM!

He gives between 10-13 extra credit points that get added on to your final grade. This fact alone should persuade any rational individual in his/her decision whether to take this course. Though he provides an unmatchable cushion, one should not underestimate the challenging nature of Accounting. You will do fine if you are reasonably diligent.

Best Acct teacher at Temple. I dropped the class twice before because of horrible teachers. The class was switched to online, and the online lectures weren't mandatory. He made the material easy to understand. I HATE lectures, and I had no problem following and understanding his. I'd recommend him to ANYONE who has to take ACCT2101 & 2102.

Wurst is a good teacher. Even though he falls off topic during lectures he puts in a lot of time making YouTube videos and other stuff that helps you learn the material. If you do the homework and understand it you'll do good on the quizes and exams. Anyway he's a good teacher and he curves exams most of the time.

Best accounting professor ive ever had (and I've had quite a few) and one of the best over all professor's ive ever had. I HATED accounting until i took his class. He's amazing if you can take his course, take it. He is interesting, very intelligent, clear and very very helpful. Also, he IS Santa. but really i love him hes awesome.

Wurst is terrible. Yes, he's done this for years, but he's definitely given up on his effort. He tells us he "wants us to pass", then breezes through 40 slides in a class and doesn't answer emails. The HW is easy if you digest the material well, and exams are manageable. Go to class, use the PPTs, and study hard. Cost only gets harder!

AWESOME. I am currently taking his class and I love it. He keeps the class entertained. Does go through slides fast but he always does class activity problems so it is easier to understand. Need to study for tests but he curves them A LOT. Also does a lot of bonus quizzes in class. Many opportunities for extra credit! Highly recommend taking him!

you won't learn the fine details in the class...keep doing the homework problems, go to the tutoring center, use the facebook group -- taking kreimer and mehta makes no sense since they give out WURSTS tests. he teaches you according to whats on HIS exams. he's the only accounting prof that's worth it at temple. go wurst!

Honestly, I love Wurst. Yes he does make debatable comments that can come off crude to some but he made me laugh and whenever I needed help, he was there. Tests are pretty difficult but Accounting doesn't come naturally to most; I expected it to be difficult. You get what you put into the class. Show up, pay attention and do the work.

Dr. Wurst is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Accounting is a difficult subject, and not a spectator sport either. Using humor, Wurst makes difficult ideas easy to understand, and more importantly, remember. I'm certain that I'll remember him for years to come. Excellent Prof. Had for Business Accounting, his lectures are everything, the textbook was horrible. Pay attention to the lecture and ask questions, not an easy A, but not too hard either.

Taking Wurst online was a great decision. You don't really have to pay attention because he talks a lot about general accounting ideas and all the homework is online with lots of help. He also responds to emails incredible fast and he is very helpful!! He puts a curve on tests too.

Let me start off by saying I'm not a math person at all. I took 2101 online during the summer and passed. I took 2102 online in the Spring . Wurst is the most caring professor I've ever had the pleasure of Meeting. He responds any time of day and understands. If your military I recommend. He's tough, but fair. Do yourself a favor and take him.

Very straightforward guy. However he's a bit vulgar and is very prone to make inappropriate jokes and use profanity in class. If you're able to deal with his vulgar tendencies you'll actually learn accounting. He's a good guy at heart, but I understand why people can't stand him.

He teaches material based on working through examples in class. If that's not your style, he has a ton of helpful materials on blackboard (pre-recorded lectures, videos to help you with hw problems). Definitely knows his stuff. Also allows you to use a cheat sheet for tests.

The class is difficult not because he makes it difficult but because accounting is subject that requires you to learn a lot of information. The homework is online and easy to do well on, and he provides you with a lot of opportunity to get extra credit. He breaks up the long lecture with jokes and interesting stories, making it easier to focus.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! He is a very funny guy and very helpful if you reach out to him. The course itself is hard because you spend a lot of time on quizzes and homework which are due every week. But Wurst as a professor is the best. He literally reads off the exam the class before and tells you what's gonna be on it.

A lot of online homework/quizzes on connect, make sure you keep up with that. He's very nice!

Haven't finished the class yet, but taking Managerial Accounting online was one of the best things I've ever done. Wurst gets a bad rap sometimes, but he's a great professor and is really there for you if you want his help. He's always willing to set up a private WebEx session or a phone call to help you. He wants his students to succeed.

Great Accounting prof! Very clear on his descriptions and how to do things. Would definitely take him over Kreimer (had him as sub a few times, not good). Online homework and quiz due every week. Funny guy. Final and midterm are only tests, pretty easy if you study. Gives extra credit probably once a week and it does help (sometimes 30 points!).

Wurst really isn't a bad professor, the grade you get is based on the work you put in. I slacked off and forgot about the the online homework and quizzes which effected my grade. He's willing to answer questions and he has plenty of online resources that should help. Final is cumulative but his practice tests on connect are similar so review them!

I was so fortunate to have Prof. Wurst. He is an extremely seasoned, sophisticated, and all-around brilliant professor who clearly had a successful career. Accounting is hard-- but he tries to offer lots of extra credit. Lots of online HW and quizzes. Tests are hard. Take when you are able to handle it all. But fantastic professor!

There is A LOT OF WORK in this class. The material is not so difficult, but it is more the amount of work in the class. Professor Wurst was such a nice guy and I am glad I took him even after reading all the reviews! He really cares about his students and tries his hardest for you to succeed. Wurst is definitely the funniest professor Ive had at Temple. He does get off topic a lot but he posts help videos for the homework on YouTube which is helpful and hes easily accessible outside of class. He is very helpful during review sessions. Made accounting not dreadful to go to twice a week.

People need to stop hating on Wurst. He isn't a bad teacher, nor is he a bad guy. I took him for ACCT2101 in Alter Hall and ACCT2102 ONLN and both course I completely bombed the tests and still got a B+ and A-. In 2101 he curved both tests; I got a D- on the final and a D on the midterm yet I got a B+ overall. I legit should not have passed.

I took online version of 2501 (survey). Easy A if you do the HW quizzes every week. The exam is exactly like the quizzes but with different numbers. Only one class per week if you take the online version so it's pretty nice.

Professor Wurst is a great professor. He is clear and concise in his lectures. Many people failed because they simply do not put the time an effort in. While accounting can be hard, if you do all of the assignments and get a D or better on the tests, you will pass. Professor wurst is very responsive and caring. Also gives EC!

He is a really cool guy. He breaks the lessons down so that you can have a better understanding of the material. All of the homework is done online which is great since you can go back and see the ones that you did wrong and correct them. He also offers extra webex meetings before midterms and finals for those who need more help.

Super chill professor. He is not that bad of a professor, and makes things easy to understand. Offered extra credit, and handed us an amazing curve. Do what needs to be done and he will look out for you. I some how manage to pass the class after getting an F on the final.

Honestly, he's not a bad teacher, accounting is just a very hard subject to teach. Everything from the homework to the exams is on McGraw Hill Connect. He never took attendance but the class jams a lot of info into each class so I would recommend going. He offers a lot of extra credit and curves exams. One of the hardest classes in STHM.

Professor Wurst is a really good professor and I would take him again. I was in the same position as everyone else going into accounting, unsure and nervous. Christian actually cares about his students and it shows. He makes the class as accommodating as possible, and he is always willing to help. On the first day, he will definitely calm you down.

Accounting is the same thing in every class regardless of professor, & so are the homework assignments, tests & quizzes. So, yeah the class is hard. I took this class twice, w/ a different professor, & Wurst was the same class material but much more personable. I don't think a lot of the people in the class knew that. Hard no matter who you take.

I didn't get the best grade, but that was mostly my own fault. I got a D on the midterm and failed the final and still managed to get a C minus so he curves pretty heavily I think. All of the exams are online and are timed so you'll need to be prepared to work fast or you'll be like me and not finish half of the exams.

He's the best professor I've ever had. He's funny, cares about his job and the students, explains things in extensive detail, and makes sure that everyone understands the material. He gives unlimited attempts on all the homework- so your grade genuinely just depends on you. If I could take every single class with him- I would!

Professor Wurst is really good at accounting and explains the concepts well. If you do the readings, the lectures and homework make sense. If you don't, then you will be lost. The class definitely requires a lot of studying, and the two exams make up most of your grade.

Just know how to do the quizzes and you'll be fine. The mid-term and finals are all from there.

Dr. Worst is one of the best professors you will have in the OMBA program. Accounting is required, so as long as you're only able to take it online he'll be your only choice. I found him super helpful when I had 1:1 time with him. The videos on Canvas and YouTube complement each other and make the material accessible.

Professor Wurst was hilarious. His lecture might not help as much but weekly quizzes and homework helped. He put us into a break-out room at the end of every class for in-class activities. For the exams, you have to record yourself and share the screen on zoom if you fail to follow the instruction, you fail the course.

Wurst is kind, funny - happy he is not dry. ACCT is not easy with A LOT of self-study. Reading book is a must to understand concepts. Easy to get behind, had to drop to this one and one class, because complex subject; math, memorization and COMPLEX answers requiring A LOT of time. Online textbook updated to give hints which helped tremendously.

I took Wurst in summer 1 and 2 for 2101 and 2102. His expectations were clear from the beginning. He curved the midterm by 8-10 points which was helpful. Expect 2 section quizzes, a midterm, a final, and 4 homework assignments each week due sunday. Every class you get an ICA due by midnight as well. You miss 2 ICA's your grade drops 10 pts.

He is nice and caring and wants all his students to succeed. He is also a great professor; he was always available for students if they needed help.

I enjoyed having Prof. Wurst for Audit. He's tough and his lectures can be dry. But, I think he gave good feedback on papers and made me a better writer at the end. The exams can be difficult to study for since there is a ton of info but at the end of the day if you have made it this far in accounting at Temple, you'll be able to handle it.

Fairly easy class with a a few homework assignments each week and 2 exams. Attendance is mandatory and he will remove you if your camera is off but usually ends class halfway through to let you work in groups on questions.

His lectures can be long but he wants genuinely everyone to succeed. He comes off as mean but he's a sweet man.
