Professor Aldrich is new to teaching, but she pulls it off well. I'm in her stats class which is hard, but she gives us plenty of opportunities to fix tests and homework. She is always available during office hours and more than glad to help. Although, stats is a hard class she was more than fair. I would highly recommend her for any psych courses.

She is a very good teacher. All of her lectures are done with powerpoint which makes it easy to take notes, and the lecture powerpoints were also available online. She was very knowledgible, but if she wasn't sure about something, she'd just say she wasn't sure and not try to make up some random answer. She was a good instructor.

I agree that she is a pretty good teacher, willing to help you. She was the best math teacher I took at FLC. However, I don't agree with most of you who said she is a hard grader. She does get stringent, but she sets it up where you can get a pretty easy B if you put in some effort. She is a great teacher, I recommend her for math.

For research methods, she does not give you a lot of work which makes the class a little harder. A B is not that hard to get, however an A you must really study for the tests. To get an A in this class I do not recommend taking it at the same time with Stats. It makes it a lot harder.

She is extremely helpful and understanding. Before this class math was not one of my strong points, but she makes it fun and an A is entirely possible. As long as you attend class she lets you correct you test for .5 of the points, and homework for full points. You have to use SPSS with all your homework, but she provides step by step instructions.

Psy research can be a very boring subject, and sometimes it was, but she attempts to make it fun. She provides examples from published articles to illustrate her points, and even lets you conduct mini experiments. I would recommend taking this and psy 330 concurrently because it will help you on your research proposal. Plus, she gives study guides.

Aldrich is very nice but the class is so dull that the hands on the clock just do not seem to move. Be sure to review the notes and learning outcomes for the tests; quizzes are online. Nice teacher. A bit too "black and white" for psych though. Grades papers very subjectively. Changes sentence structure to fit how SHE thinks you should phrase it, with no apparent purpose or gain in clarity. Wouldn't rec taking this class if you haven't taken stats yet, as she wont cover stats material well, and grades you as if you know it.

Easy class, but you were screwed if you didn't soak up the specific terms for everything right away. All of her quizzes are open book/online, so they were easy, but her tests were difficult. Aldrich is a wonderful professor! I took psyc 330 with her and it was challenging however she does a great job providing you with extremely helpful lectures and is very approachable when asking a question. She explains the concepts well, is encouraging, and knowledgeable. This is a difficult class and the tests are graded harsh but is possible!
