She is GREAT!
You can't go wrong here. You can tell that she genuinely cares about the success of her students. She is quite approachable and will go the extra mile to help you understand the material. I especially like that she is so positive. You will hear her say that chemistry is fun or it is like a puzzle. If you need this class, she is the one to take.
he is an out standing teacher,i only took the lab with her passed it with a B if it wasnt for a day i missed...i am looking forward in taking the chemistry lecture part with her she is just a wonderful teacher
She is awesome! Very helpful and truly cares about the success of her students. Her teaching style is so good and easy to follow. I would recommend her to anyone. She also makes herself available for extra help if needed. She is the best!!
I really do like Ms. Clark, but for some reason I always had trouble with her directions, other instructors have just been a lot easier to follow, for me at least. A few other people have said similar things about her, so its not just me, but some people do well with her. Personally I found Leedy, Briggs and Gunderson to be much easier to follow.
She is the BEST! I took her for CHM 130 Lab only. Her labs helped me get through lecture. She explains things with clarity. I higly recommend her.
She is clear. Class hard in general but she gives you all the tools to succeed. She is approachable and makes you not be afraid of chemistry. Great teacher. Just study study study!! Took during summer and it was alot of exams..but she gives partial credit for showing work. Posts grades quick! Recommend her by far!
She is amazing! I love that she was in the Chem world before she started teaching. She makes me feel smart because I understand the way she teaches everything, and I actually get it. I give all the credit to her teaching style. She has passion for the subject and really wants everyone to succeed.
She is amazing! I love that she was in the Chem world before she started teaching. She makes me feel smart because I understand the way she teaches everything, and I actually get it. I give all the credit to her teaching style. She has passion for the subject and really wants everyone to succeed.
I haven't taken a chemistry class since I flunked it in high school and that was 20 years ago so I was extremely worried about taking this class. I got lucky I chose Mrs. Clark because she teaches so well that the material seems easy, as long as you study of course! She explains the material so clearly and is very helpful with any questions.
She teaches her class with unparalleled energy every time.
Great teacher. Will help you with your work and help you succeed. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Clark was a great teacher! This class was extremely hard for me, as I've never had chem before, and it was a condensed summer version. She has a website with tons of extra worksheets and helpful information, also had tutor sessions. She gives a lot of homework, but it will help you master concepts. She also gives generous partial credit on tests.
Great teacher!! She gives tons of extra help/worksheets on her website and makes sure you are completely prepared for tests and quizzes. If you go to class and take notes, you will succeed. She is a teacher I would recommend to anyone. VERY low homework.
Took both her CHM 130 Lecture and Lab. She simplifies things so it is easier to grasp the concepts she is teaching. As with any class, you need to put in work to get a good grade. But she is willing to help. She posts extra worksheets on her website so you can practice what you are currently learning in class. Great teacher!
Great teacher. Responds to emails and questions quickly. Posts extra work sheets online. Truly cares about the success of her students. Class if fun and interesting. If you don?t want to work hard, then don?t take this class. TAKE ADVANTAGE of the extra worksheets she posts online. The bonus.... she is gorgeous? I think I am in love
I took this over the summer and it had been at least 15 yrs since I took a science class. She is very organized and made something I was scared to death of comprehensible. She wants you to learn and is willing to help outside of class to ensure you do. Great teacher..
SHe gives a lot of homework in mastering chemistry. The test are not based form the homework. Be aware! I hated her sense of humor.
Talks fast, has tons of worksheets and practice tests posted. Homework is part of your grade. Accumulative Dept final, not difficult if you do the worksheets through the semester. She can seem agitated with questions if you talk to her 1 on 1. Gives good lect. Resources are very helpful. Got an A and thinking it could have been much worse.
I failed Chemistry twice before taking this class. I passed Clark's class with an A. My classmates compained that she goes fast, but everything is readily available for you to print off and follow along (lectures/handouts). She provides lots of worksheets to give you lots of practice. She's funny and made Chemistry fun!
She moves fairly fast during lecture. Sometimes I just wrote what she wrote and figured it out later. Overall, she was a great prof and provided lots of worksheets to use. USE THE WORKSHEETS. Mastering chemistry sucked, half of the mastering chem questions weren't covered. But a good class.
Of course if a student took CHM twice, I would expect a grade "A" with/ without Mrs. Clark.Just to you know this is not a hard class if you study, but she use very good notes, but when it came to test you will see that her exam are very hard. Mastering chemistry is used and the questions does really help for the exam. Be aware, avoid her class!
do yourself a favor and do not take her class. She is very nice, but her exam are very hard! If you are good in CHM, you will do fine.
I was very scared to take this class. I have never taken a chemistry class before. Mrs. Clark is very nice and extremely helpful. There is many work sheets, practice test, & practice finals on her web site for extra help. The practice test are a lot like the test that she gives. Highly recommend her for people that need Barney style learning.
Class was very informative and interesting. However I had found it quite hard to fully grasp the subject and information that was being taught. Mrs. Clark provides needed material to achieve success in the class but studying and completing hw is a must. Exams can be rather difficult, taking advantage of the many tutoring opportunities helps greatly
she is a great teacher, i had her for chm 151 and 151ll and she made me very good at it, i even did great in chm 152 with a different teacher because of her. very helpefull and helps you understand everything. her class is very interesting. and she knows what she teaches
She's a dedicated and fun person. If you don't like chem or never had it, it's a class you have to attend and study through. She's willing to help and gives extra practice problems on her website. The final is close to her exams. It's a big class so it's easy to get lost but if you ask many questions, she's willing to help. Great teacher!
Very difficult class to begin with. Must do all of your homework to pass this class. Very time consuming. Labs are equally as hard as the lecture. Be prepared. She is generally helpful if you need it.
She is a great teacher and is very kind to all of her students. Her grading is more than fair and she is not afraid to help you if you need it. She only has 3 tests throughout the semester. The only complaint I have is that she uses MasteringChemistry, which is a homework program that gives you ridiculous questions that are not on her tests.
Ms. Clark is an excellent professor. I have struggled with chemistry in the past and received an A in 151. I am taking her for 152 and look forward to it. I highly recommend her.
She is an AMAZING professor! Loved her! If you have the willingness to learn and want to understand the material, SHE WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU!! She has tutoring and it helps a lot. Just take notes, and UNDERSTAND the material, Three tests and I received A's on all 3.Influenced me to be a chem prof.
Ms. Clark is an incredibly passionate person. If you aren't willing to do the studying, then you won't do well. She always has office hours and schedules tutoring. I'd recommend Ms. Clark's class to anyone who wants to do well in Chemistry, and is willing to put in the work.
She explains chemistry very clearly. Also, she lets you know her expectations on homework, quizzes and tests. If you come to class and do your homework, you will get chemistry!
Professor Clark is one of the best chemistry teachers I've ever had. She's extremely helpful, her tests are exactly what she teaches and her quizzes are very reasonable. I highly recommend her because she's not only great at what she does, but she has fun with her knowledge and puts concepts in words students can understand.
She is the best!!! She really made chemistry easy to understand and she was so helpful! Just as long as you do the homework and the practice worksheet, you shouldn´t have a problem passing her class!
Good teacher
The class seems fairly simple until you get her test, no matter how hard you study the test will still be difficult. She also isnt the best with responding back to emails and at some times she can be a bit rude. But she does love chemistry, and she isnt a bad teacher.
She is very nice and teaches the material well. There are three chapters covering acids and bases that will probably make you sick of the words but the rest is pretty fun. She takes the time out in the tutoring center to help her students.
She is a good professor. Her lectures are pretty standard; there was nothing great about them, but nothing bad either.
Really a great professor. She covered the material and was clear about expectations for tests and quizzes. I only opened my textbook twice. She is very helpful and I thought she explained everything with clarity. Highly recommend her class. I'm taking 151 with her next semester.
Great professor!! Extremely helpful, however the exams are pretty tough.
She is very clear with her expectations of students. Her lectures are very standard in a very good way. Open to most questions. The honors section can be a bit of work but not too difficult.
She is amazing! She goes above and beyond what she is supposed to do. She doesn't just say what to do when she is teaching she explains how to do it and why. I recommend her over any chem prof. I had her my first time and had to drop cause my job and took someone else. My new prof doesn't even compare to Clark. Love her!!
She's a good professor. Chemistry in general is a difficult subject but she does her best to help you understand it. Online homework takes about 2 hours a week to do, and she has plenty of practice problems on her website. She always tells you the class period before a quiz so you're never surprised. Exams are pretty straight forward.
Dr. Clark was great! She is a great teacher and really knows the subject well. Chemistry is a tough class, so you need to work hard in order to do well. You can get by with just her lecture notes which prepare you well for the exam. Do your homework, and do extra practice problems before exams. Her exams are on the tough side.
Doctor Clark is nice, but suspects everyone of cheating #Awkward
Very organized lectures. Great in lectures! )
Great professor, very passionate about her subject and it shows. The exams are just what you would expect from a 151 course, although everything that is on the exam is covered in class. Requires a good amount of work to be successful, but a very fun course both in lecture and lab. She likes watching her students succeed, and is willing to help you.
Best Teacher I've had so far in Community College. I hate chemistry but the way simplicity in which she explains it and makes it fun to learn changed my outlook. She is great at explaining the material and make sure to write down her examples from the board, they are big help. Homework is reasonable amount and with plenty of notice to get it done.
Wonderful teacher. Very clear and easy to understand. Loves chemistry and it shows in her teaching styler. Would absolutely take this class again.
I really enjoyed her Chem 151! She's always open to help you and you might not even need it since she's a great teacher! :) he tests are everything she talks about so no suprises there. She cracks jokes here and there and she doesn't put a lot of stress on her students! My favorite instructor this semester! Just wish she taught Ochem. :)
Clark is a good teacher but she does talk really fast! She gets very excited about chemistry and shows A LOT of examples in class! She is not a tough grader! Her exams are half multiple choice and half showing work! Does give extra examples with answer keys and there is MC which is time consuming! She is a good teacher and if you study you pass(:
She is fantastic. The material in CHM151 isn't easy, she makes it understandable. Her teaching style is phenomenal, she will help in any way she can. She has retained her passion for the material and cares deeply about her students. She doesn't back down from the tough materials and even puts them on a test but she prepares you for the next class.
Gives a lot of homework but definitely helps your grade if you don't do well on the tests. Lectures are easy to follow . Explains everything clearly and answers all questions. Overall very helpful and easy to understand. Often gives you hints on what material to study for the tests. Would definitely recommend her
Very fun and energetic teacher. I took this class during the summer and it was fast paced, so you have to study. The grade is based on quizzes/ 3 tests and a big final. The only drawback is the final, which is standardized testing from the American Chemical Society. I've took other professors here at GCC and Clark is by far one of the better ones
I loved her. She was great at explaining and giving lots of examples. I took this class in the summer so it was very fast paced but she tried making it as simple as possible. The major down fall is the final because it's a standardized final from ACS. However, if you study hard, it's easy.
She makes chemistry fun! I guess there is usually homework in her classes, but since I took the summer course it was unnecessary. She loves giving 100's of examples of math problems which is awesome for those of us who hate math!!! :)
great teacher but teaches straight out of the book ( online free book written) Somethings could have been explained more clear. I really didn't like that there were only 3 exams and a cuml final worth more than an exam. She would announce that we had a quiz the day before.
She's very nice, respectful and caring , she treats her students very nice and her way of teaching is great and it made things look very easy. The attendance and homework are mandatory but they really help the student to understand chemistry..I used to do the homework and never skipped a class, and I didn't have to study for the final exam!
Clark's class is what you'd expect in a general chemistry course. She's a nice person who cares about your success. As long as you attend class, study, and you're strong in math, you'll be fine. Her tests contain no surprises, but you will need to spend time reviewing outside of class. She can appear to be rushing through content quickly though.
Awesome Professor. She goes out of her way to help her students succeed. I am currently prepping up for lecture exam two. 10 chapters of online homework and homework worksheets, number of quizzes vary, 3 lecture exams and a final. The material is tough if you don't study. Labs are tedious and can be time consuming. Overall, awesome professor.
This professor's lectures are very informative and if you take good notes, you will not have to touch the free online textbook. She is very good at motivating and engaging the entire class.
Professor Clark's class was difficult. About 3/4 of the way through the semester, I was having a really difficult time with the content. I spoke with Professor Clark, and she gaveme with another book that helped teach the content a little differently. She wants her students to succeed, and if you struggle, just ask for help! Study groups work too!
I've taken Christina for several semesters starting with Chem 130 and I'm glad that I did. She is very helpful and wants everyone to succeed/understand the material, and if you don't I highly suggest that you go to her either after class or outside of class for help. She gives you all the tools you need. Also, make sure you take detailed notes!
An amazing teacher, but can make tests hard. She gives easy points to help increase your grade, so doesn't offer extra credit. Has a ton of extra practice and is super nice. She is willing to help students in any way possible, I highly recommend her.
Don't have to use free online textbook. Four 100 point tests 30 or so questions (15-20 questions multiple choice). MathAS easy but make sure you study for the quizzes (in-class & canvas) & study up on upcoming lab. Do pre-lab quiz & purpose & procedure. Study practice material, MathAS, & concepts from powerpoints & topic list & you can get an A.
She was amazing! She teaches off the white boards and uses examples instead of just reading off slides. She answers emails pretty quick and is always there for help when you need it. I would recommend her to everyone that needs to take any chemistry class. She makes the information easy to understand and you can succeed in class.
Professor Clark is by far my all time favorite professor I have ever had. The only problem is she tends to speak fast during lecture since there is a lot of material, but the upside to that is that she is willing to go back over the section either during class if you ask a question or during office hours which she has a lot of. She is very fun.
Wonderful teacher. If you want to pass CHM151 the first time take this teacher. She teaches on the board instead of just the power point. She gives you plenty of practice online to get ready for your test. I am so glad that she is teaching CHM152 because I am taking it with her. You will not regret taking Chemistry with her.
She deducts points for every single thing in the test like when you forget to write the units at the end of the problem. Lots of heavy paper written lab reports compared to other colleges.
Clark is great. She was my instructor for gen chem 1&2 lecture & lab. The courses arent easy & theres a lot of material to cover. She breaks the topics down and makes it understandable. Extra practice worksheets are available on canvas which is helpful. She responds to emails and is available when youre stuck. Highly recommend.
If you did well in 151 you should do well in this class if you take her. If you didn't this will be average difficulty for you. Study the worksheets thoroughly. Make sure you are ready for the canvas quizzes. DO THE CH. READING AND THE MOER. Study and this class isn't too hard to master. Go to the pre-exam study sessions she has on occasion.
Prof Clark is an amazing teacher & is always in the best interest of each student. The subject is tough, but she gives you plenty of resources to practice with. The more practice problems you do, the better prepared you will be for each exam. She is always willing to work with you, and accepts all questions. I recommend her to anyone.
Professor Clark is great! Make sure to take really good notes and use all of the practice packets for help in this class. Also, do not be afraid to go to her office hours and ask for help! She is super friendly and is always willing to help you when needed. Make sure to put 100% effort into this class. You cannot just go to lecture and not practice
She is the sweetest professor I've had so far but just know she is one tough grader. All her quizzes, tests and exams are written and so when it comes to calculating she is very picky when it comes to significant figures. Oh god how I hate sig figs! So get that down before anything. Other than that, she will always try her best so you understand.
I love Clark. I really wish I could take her for all my chemistry classes. She really has a passion for chemistry. Always open to questions and helping students. Really lets you know what will be on the test and gives examples of each kind of problem. Pay attention and PRACTICE! She gives the resources so use them!
I absolutely loved being in her lecture and lab. Shes very kind and fair. The lessons are clear and gives plenty of additional resources if you'd need them. You can tell she loves her job and has a passion for chemistry and teaching. I would take her class again in a heartbeat.
Amazing chem teacher! She's so passionate and knowledge, she is very INVOLVED in her lectures. She provides so many extra resources in order to succeed. She is so sweet and very approachable. I wish I could have her for all of my chem classes! The subject is tough, but come to class and do all assignments and with her help, you'll be fine.
I absolutely loved this professor. She is very caring and wants to see you succeed. I now LOVE chemistry! I would definitely take her class again.
.clark is incredible. I took her class as many times as I could. I had her for CHM 130 (A+ grade received), 151(B), and 152 (C+). She genuinely wants to see her students succeed but she wont just hand you a passing grade. Do the homework, the quizzes, and go to office hours if you need help. Gives credit as much as She can on test and quizzes.
She's an amazing teacher! She goes through topics fast but will stop to reexplain if asked. She does a good job of going over what's on tests and provides outlines. This class requires a lot of studying/effort! If your someone that is looking for an easy A this isn't the class for you. She truly cares about her students and wants to see u succeed!
Clark is awesome. Shes a great teacher and shes very nice and approachable and really cares about her students. The class isnt easy and you have to do the work and study for the tests, but as long as you put in the effort you should pass easily. Theres also lots of extra credit opportunities. Id definitely take her again.
Specifically took her class due to her not requiring a webcam/mic for her class in lieu of live classes. First assignment required video submission- she instructed me to contact the school, even though it wasn't a requirement per the catalog. Could not submit assignments due to her not completing her course catalog/ syllabus correctly.
Mrs. Clark is 1 of 2 out of the 5 teachers I have that offers optional zoom help hours - she is such a caring lady, replies to my emails asap and addresses EVERY detail in the email. she has overly extended herself and KNOWS what shes talking about when it comes to her subject. shes an amazing teacher and has strengthened my love for chemistry.
Not a good teacher and I would no recommend her to anyone. Absolutely disappointed because I went off these ratings and she never once helped me and never responded to any of my emails. I have asked her several times on why I got something wrong and never explained it because she DOESN'T answer emails. Absolutely awful
Professor Clark did an amazing job during the switch from in-person to online! She was super helpful and because of her lectures I finally understood chemistry. They condensed the textbook into printed notes that were easy to follow and very helpful for the tests. Highly recommend!
Taking gen chem online can be scary, but professor Clark helps by being organized, office hours, responds quickly to emails, and cares about your progress in class. I am currently at an A but it's not my official grade yet. General chemistry is hard, but if you watch the videos, study & do lots of practice problems its easy A!
Not the best teacher. Never responded to my emails. Lecture Heavy and homework is nothing like lecture notes. Made this class really difficult and office hours are only 2 hours a day once a week.
Please if you ever take Chemistry at GCC make sure shes your professor. Chemistry is tough but she puts a lot of care to make sure you get it and have lots of practice problems and activities to get better. If youre stuck shes happy to help. I wish I could have her in every science course! But you do have to put in the work, still hard subject
Professor Clark is super nice and I am so glad I took CHM152 with her! Her lectures are excellent and really helpful and she offers plenty of practice problems as well. She does take a while to grade so don't get nervous if the worksheet you turned in a week ago hasn't been graded yet. She is an amazing teacher and I would definitely recommend her!
Professor Clark was great! Offered a ton of extra credit to help boost your grade especially towards the end of the semester. Lectures were entertaining and she always took the time to slow down if any students were confused or had questions. Definitely recommend taking her for 152!
This was a time intensive and difficult class but I wouldn't want to take it from anyone but Professor Clark. She is AMAZING at giving examples and extra problems to work through (the only way to ace chemistry I think). She will go above and beyond to help you understand and be accessible to students. Take her if you can!
Loved her! She was bubbly, fun, and is a FANTASTIC teacher! She made Chemistry pretty easy. Assigned the right amount of homework, and we were even able to do a few quizzes in groups. She's seriously amazing. Would have taken her again this semester, but her classes were full. She didn't do "group projects," but more so did some "group quizzes."
I LOVED Professor Clark! Chemistry is not my forte and I didn't get an amazing grade but Clark did everything she could to help. She was able to meet with me outside of class multiple times and she posts her lectures so you can go back. The homework and tests are straightforward + extra credit opportunities are available!
I enjoyed taking her class! She is super sweet and is very passionate about teaching. She takes her time to help you understand if you're having trouble. However, I needed things simplified as best as possible as I struggled in chemistry. If chemistry is your forte, you'll have no problem understanding her lectures!
she good
Professor Clark is awesome. I took CHM 151 and 152 with her and she made the course content very understandable and simple. Lectures are concise and easy to follow. She gives you all the tools to succeed and your grade is really up to you.
I'm fond of Professor Clark as she extends herself to help students, holds office hours before/after lectures, she's genuinely fun! Her grading style is tough, lot of work is required of you outside the classroom so find a study group! Clark's courses are doable w extensive efforts! Good Luck!! MEET WITH HER, ONE ON ONE HER TEACHING IS OUTSTANDING!
She is not fit for her job. Doesn't know how to teach. Does problems on the board and talks all class, but no form of knowledge projection. Inconsiderate form of regulating the course topics (especially if you have other classes going on). Very demanding teacher, nothing in return, her videos are her slides. Look for other options before this one.
I've taken Professor Clark for CHM151 and CHM152. No professor has ever compared to her; she is great at teaching, caring, passionate, and concise. 152 is definitely harder. Manage your time correctly and put in the work. I suggest you go to lecture, take quick notes, and then go home and watch her videos and take the extensive notes needed.
Professor Clark is fantastic - she goes above and beyond to help students succeed. The class is challenging, but with her engaging lectures, abundant practice problems, and openness to extra help, you can definitely learn a lot. unstuck study was also a lifesaver for study prep!
One of the best teachers I've had! As long as you pay attention in lecture, study a little bit everyday as you go you'll be good. She gives extra credit opportunities if you ask and she gives study guides and practice exams for everything. Do every worksheet she gives and you'll be good.
Professor Clark is a decent instructor, and better yet, compared to the majority of her coworkers. She is pretty straightforward. However, the class moves considerably fast. The exams are not extremely hard, but they are not the best. The final is an ACS exam of 70 questions, for which you better study using the ACS material from the beginning.
This professor genuinely cares about students and really wants them to understand the material. I took her for both the CHM151 and CHM152 lectures and labs. I loved her lectures, and she answers questions with excitement. I never felt like I was asking a dumb question. She does go fast, but it isn't a bad thing.
Professor Clark is a really nice instructor. Her CHM 151 class is not going to be easy, but if you put everything into it, you can get through with a good grade and, more importantly, with a pretty good understanding of the topics covered. If you have to take CHM 152, take her, and you will have nothing to worry about once you get to CHM 152.
After coming from an atrocious Chem 1 prof, she made Chemistry not only understandable, but enjoyable. Frequent quizzes and fairly rigorous, but her lectures were clear and easy to follow. Incredibly enthusiastic about the subject, and willing to answer any questions with patience and understanding.
