Fun class. Professor Dixon has a great sense of humor, cares about students, is understanding, gives good feedback, and wants you to learn. There are not many assignments, and there's a lot of extra credit.

Loved Dr. Dixon! Her Lectures were always so fun and rarely gave homework. Wasn't the best at APA papers, but Dr. Dixon provided tons of guides for it and wasn't too hard on the grading if she knew you were barely starting out. 10/10

Honestly the best professor to have as an incoming freshmen!!! Very understanding as long as you communicate with her. Lectures were always ALWAYS interesting and examples were clear to understand. Overall, the best class ever! You won't regret taking her.

Quick to respond. Doesn't require you have your camera on and she is very good about recording classes. Would def take again!

What can I say? This Professor was outstanding! I had a zoom class with her and it's 3 hours long but boy are you entertained for those 3 hours (it goes by quick) especially with the psychological videos we see on a daily. She doesn't require your camera to be on so don't worry about showing your face every day on zoom. Just don't miss class.

Dr. Dixon is awesome! I've read that she is easy but in reality I think it's that she explains things REALLY well. If I took a pre test and post test on everything she taught, I'd have failed miserably in the beginning but passed in the end. PSYC2301 is a beginner course so I was happy I got her. She set me up for success instead of breaking me.

She encouraged me to get my life together & stop procrastinating. She teaches info in ways that make sense and she's RELATABLE. Omg! I learned so much. She has a few quizzes, papers, etc. but they're not useless. They add to your daily life w/o even knowing it! I nearly changed majors because of her. I appreciate her so much. Take her course, now!

Dr Dixon is the best! Her lectures are great, never boring. Very little homework, no tests. She mostly relies on papers and one or two easy quizzes. We had 2 papers(Midterm and final)3-5pages, APA format that were based off movies, in class assignments, and easy quizzes, little to no reading, we had an online textbook

I wish I could take her for more classes and she was full-time. She makes psychology stuff sound easy and I think it's because she can explain it really well. We had a textbook but I hated it. She made PP presentations for us that broke the material down further. This helped a ton. Class is so organized and visually pleasing. Would take again!

Take Professor Dixon, I beg of you! I am not a class pet by all means but I will brag!!!!!!!!!! Listen to the lectures, it's really hard not to pay attention as she explains it in a way you would understand (LITERALLY, LOL). She also gives out extra credit during class so if you pay attention there's an easy way to boost your grade up a little.

Professor Dixon was very clear in her lectures. She provided examples after our lecture to give us an understanding of how people with certain diagnoses act. Some lecture topics were surprising but they were clear and helped expand my understanding of how college classes like these would go. Her work wasn't too heavy but still very challenging.

I really enjoyed her class , her lectures were pretty heavy and informative, but she did make them interesting with a little humor. She is really reasonable with her grading, and if you are struggling she will help you with what you need ( just make sure to communicate with her). The work wasn't too hard, just a few assignments every other week.

Professor Dixon not only give an amazing lecture every class, but also reminds her students of their worth. Without her encouragement and wisdom I would have been lost this semester. She even went as far as reminding us about the student mental health services which helped me personally in order to gain my strength back.

It's easy to follow along with her class, and doing the group activities can be fun. We watched a few heavy videos, but we always had the option not to watch them if they were too much. Most of the videos we watched were informative and fun. The papers we had to write were interesting and it was easy for me to get into them.

Her lectures and classes are very entertaining and interactive even though they're via zoom. I have taken multiple online classes this semester and this was by far the most engaging. I typically struggle with distance classes due to no face-to-face interaction, but her lectures helped to give an easy understanding, as well as a safe space.

Dr. Dixon is a funny and respectful teacher. She teaches by providing a lecture and then showing videos to show our understanding in the topic. While the lectures are derived from the textbook she condenses it and makes it easier for the student to understand. She adds humor and groups to the class and fun to the exams

In all honesty, I loved this class it was not only straightforward but also very entertaining. I don't know how other professions do it but I know Mrs. Dixon did her job and does it very well.

You can't fool her or submit late tasks, in my opinion. She doesn't back down, and because the work isn't too difficult, there shouldn't be any justifications.

Dr. Dixon's PHYC-2301 is a straightforward introductory course. There are few assignments but all of them are well outlined and your prepared more than sufficiently for them. It's a combination of activity based learning and lecture which is given in a digestible way. Dr. Dixon is extremely blunt and direct in the content which I found helpful.

Professor Dixon clearly states what she expects, so pay attention. You will need to write several papers in APA format, so it's a good idea to improve your writing skills. You do not need to do assignments from the textbook because she offers a simpler version for her lectures. I highly recommend taking advantage of her class.

There are some discussions that you will go over and videos that were kind of a shock to me. They are part of the curriculum that tied into the understanding of different topics.

It's the best psychology class you can take! If you follow directions, participate in her class, and understand her feedback, you'll get an easy A. She doesn't have many assignments for the semester (there were multiple essays, but it was pretty slay), and the due dates were very reasonable. You won't regret this class!

When taking this class I was scared, I started this course off with APA formatting which was foreign to me and I was so afraid I was going to fail because Dr.Dixon kept telling us that she is strict with formatting.I learned that she will not set you up for failure, she has so many resources to help you better understand what you're learning.

Great professor and an easy class. Zoom lectures were easy to follow and the assignments were interesting. You have to participate in discussions as well as take some quizzes but they're nothing crazy. Final was a group paper on a character from a movie you watch in class. Take it!
