Good teacher. A little ditzy, but very caring. Use the samle quizzes, they help a ton!
She is a very helpful teacher. I went into her office hours all the time and she was very helpful. Many people don't do well in this class but if you pay attention and go to her for help you will be fine.

Very easy to understand, boring b/c there are so many examples to go by, teacher is very helpful.
Very boring because she says something, writes it on the board, and then reads what she wrote. But very helpfull.
great teacher. easy to understand. doesn't collect homework. gives homework quizzes and has sample exams on-line that help a lot. takes row at random times. if math isn't your strongest subject take her.
Not that bad of a class, but she's pretty boring to listen to. tests aren't that hard, but you have to study and understand most of the homework. she give sample tests which are almost like actual test.
She is an extremely nice lady. She tries to be very helpful. The students however can sometimes be smarter than she can. One student in my class showed the entire class she didn't know what she was talking about.
Very clear teacher. Perhaps explains too much, but at least you understand it. Gives homework quizes and sample exams - they help alot. Tests are very similar to sample exam. Class is boring and she has a fetish with writing things out on the board.
Nice lady, but I learned more from the book. She justs reads out of it. She can't explain calc well. Told a student in our class that he would get the idea after she did some more problems. She takes tons of points off for not doing it exactly her way.
She is very ditzy, and most of the time the students are smarter than she is, but she cares and tries.
She clearly wrote the formulas and how to do the work through equations. If you show up to class and pay attention, you should understand. Also, DO THE HOMEWORK QUIZZES, they do help. Not a real hard grader.

I can't stand her. She can't explain anything. The tests she gives are nothing like her sample exam. She gives the longest tests that nobody in the class ever finishes. I would have no remorse of sorrow whatsoever if she just disappeared.

Terrible teacher. Extremely boring. Can't explain things, only does 'examples'. Grades extremely anally, and takes off a lot of points for notation and not doing things her way. Tests are way too long to finish. I'd rather DIE than take her again.
She is such a horrible teacher. There is no way I would even consider taking another one of her classes.
She is not a hard teacher. To get an A, you must DO ALL THE HOMEWORK PROBLEMS ASSIGNED! Her tests and quizzes are based of the homework. She gives great partial credit. Kind and helpful in office hours. Don't slack off on the homework quizzes.
She is so awesome! She is muy caliente! And I would definatly miss her if she got hit by a comet that travled so many miles per hour.
AWESOME teacher! She does numerous easy-to-follow examples on the board, and is good at getting her point across. Take the homework quizzes seriously! Her tests follow her sample exams closely, which is nice. Take this class! I would cry long and hard if she were hit by a meteor.
I don't know who said that she is hot, but no. I am getting tired of hearing her ditzy voice and looking at her fat ass for an hour and fifteen minutes. All she does are examples and doesn't explain what she is doing. Do not take her at all costs.
Thanks Mrs Heint.U deserve a few words here. Great teacher. DO THE PRACTICE HOMEWORK IT HELPS. She is always available to help. Her Sample tests are same with the normal tests. She gives a number of bonuses and curves. I stated with a 79 and ended with an A She also gives good hints for the Homework
Hate math but she gave good examples for test. Do the quizzes! Boring no personality but as long as she didnt fail me thats all I care.
she is a good teacher and i liked her class. i have heard that alot of the other college algebra teachers are kind of hard and that she is the one to take. I highly recomend her.
Take home quiz do it in group to help your gpa and your knowledge of the class she is willing to help you with anything and the nicest ladie in the world. Always smiling and even though the class is tough she does not make you dread going to class every day
Her class is difficult if you dont pay attention and dont do the homework. Sample tests are just like the test so you know what she is going to ask. Very stern in class but I work with her at WalMart and she is a very cool lady, talk to her you will find out. Dont be afraid to ask for help.
Probably the most boring teacher I've ever encountered. The class isn't all that hard she just makes it very boring with all her examples. Do the work and you'll do fine
This class was not that hard but she was the most boring teacher. I got a B with pretty much no effort. Lectures are sooo boring.
I would not recommend this teacher at all. She explains everything backwards and is very confusing. Also, her lectures are the most boring ones i've ever sat through and her examples are hard to follow because she doesn't explain where things come from. Do not take her if you haven't had a lot of calculus background!
Probably the worst teacher I have ever had. She doesn't do anything except examples and those don't help one bit. She explains nothing and leaves you lost if you don't know what is going on. I luckily remembered everything in her class from highschool, but she pretty much sucks. The only plus is no h/w ewcept h/w quizzes and those are easy.
I'm not a math person and her class didn't make me any more interested. She doesn't really explain things, the only reason I'm passing the class is because I went to the TDC. The class is really boring and she always runs long.
She assigns homework that isn't required, but does require homework quizzes which are what will keep you alive in that class. If you are a slow test taker I would not suggest her for this class. They are extremely long but you do know what to expect from the homework quizzes. She will help you if you visit her office. She is kinda rude though.
I don't really understand why so many people had trouble with this class. The material was so easy. It is exactly like algebra in high school. She doesn't really teach any of the material, but it schouldn't really matter because you should have learned all of this stuff in high school.

Avoid taking her at all possible. She was rude, No help to me. She can't teach. I know 1st grade teachers that teach better than her.
she isn't nice at all. She doesn't respond if u say "hi, how r u?" And time isn't enough for the exams but exams aren't that hard. She gives just 6 homeworks during the entire term which is enough for a math class. you can take her class unless u r a slow test-taker.

I would rather jump into a bottomless pit than ever take her class again. Long and numerous twists on her tests. She demands redundant notation or you miss half or more on the test. Try another teacher!!! Anyone is better than her. Only one thing good about her-- I worked my butt off and should have gotten a D, but was given a C. Id jump first!
I don't understand why this lady is still a teacher. Trust anyone who says not to take her classes, you will fail.
Worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Ended the class with a D, by less than half a percentage point. Never really explained anything, just did the work on the notes in front of us. I would recommend NOT TAKING HER...EVER.
I already knew how to do everything because I took calculus in high school, otherwise I would have been lost. She teaches purely off of examples - 1 example per problem. She was also VERY rude and not helpful.
The only reason why I'm doing well in this class is because most of the material I learned in high school. She tries to cram to much information in one class period. Don't take her!!!!
I think she is a pretty good teacher. I am able to maintain a B in that class and I am really not very good at math. Her tests are kinda long but she gives some points if you show the work of what you tried to do. You can do the homework as many times as you need to get 100% and you can take the quizzes twice. She really tries to make it do-able.

She is a great teacher. I don't know where these other people are getting these comments from but she is very helpful and goes out of her way to make sure you pass.
My main problem with her, is that it seems the examples she gives, dont always match assignments and tests. 5% of your grade is attendance, so showing up, doesnt help much. She did give extra points at the end of the year, (which she didnt have to) and that was kind of her.
She's ok i guess. Goes a little fast. Her tests aren't too bad. To sum up either her teaching ability or the difficulty of the class, I'd say both are somewhere in the middle. Not too bad but not terribly good either.
Nice lady. enjoys teaching. had her for college algebra at 8am. crams a lot of material into a class period. doesn't explain when you ask a question, uses examples instead, which is frustrating. a lot of hw but it's online so it wasn't too bad. HARD TESTS !
She's a very nice lady, & honestly class was very easy. The only problem I had with her is that she takes FOREVER to explain a problem. That might not be a bad thing, I guess, & she does make sure you understand. If you're going into a subject you know nothing about, take her, you WILL learn something, you have to she writes everything 30 times. :)
She is not the greatest! She seriously just teaches, doesn't relate with the classroom. She takes forever to explain one single problem and crams too much into the time slot. She makes a lot of little mistakes when working in front of the class and it can get confusing. She acts like you are a child...Try to avoid taking her if at all possible.

Took her math skills class. The first day of class was the last day she did any teaching. Everything you do in this class, you're pretty much on your own, go at your own pace (with no instruction). It would make more sense to have everyone on the same page, doing the same work with her teaching us, rather than dumping on us with the textbook.
Worst teacher in the history of teaching. She does not teach, she sits in front of the class doing nothing. You can never find her outside of class times. Will not explain how to do something, she just does it for you and sends you on your way. Absolutely NO teaching takes place from her.

Lectures are long and boring. Not very good Terrible at explaining most things and spends class time on all the wrong topic. Takes very little time to answer questions. Insane amount of homework.
If you rely on homework as a cushion for tests, this is the class for you. The grades are based on the unit averages. For example, workbook average score, tests average score. If you are not good with homework and keeping up on time then this will be a painful realization to get yourself in check.
AWFUL TEACHER
Christina Heintz is the worst professor I have ever had. Prepare to teach yourself because she literally doesn't know anything. If you ask for help, she is so rude. I took her class because at the time she had a 4.0 rating and I thought she would be helpful. I was wrong. Do NOT take her at all. I would take College Algebra at a different college.
Professor Heintz was consistently rude to students. If you go to ask for help, she looks at you like you're a complete idiot. On several occasions she didn't know how to do the problems that she had assigned us to do for homework. She never gives enough time to finish a test completely.
I very much enjoyed Dr. Heintz College Algebra class. She assigned a normal amount of homework and every day in class she goes over part of it if your're still stuck. I feel like she was very helpful.
Awesome professor, I have never been good at math. I had her in Algebra and she made sure that you understood all of the questions. I hardly applied myself, I only did the homework and went to class. I finished with a B+, if you go to class you won't have any problem with her.
Im telling you now, do not take this lady for stats. Actually dont take her for any class. She is the most boring teacher ever and her way of teaching is awful. You will walk out of her class more confused everyday i promise. Think Wisely im telling you she is an awful professor nothing personal just stating the facts no one barely passes her test.
Worst math teacher ive ever had. Super boring. Super slow and whatever she doesnt get to she expects you to teach yourself before the final. Final review is not even a review, just tells you about 10% of whats gonna be on the test. EASILY the worst stats teacher at northwest and worst math teacher ive ever had.
