Professor Oney is a great professor! She is very clear and easy to follow. Her method of teaching helps you really understand the material, not just for the exams. Show up for class, take notes, read the chapters and you will do well. She is really an amazing professor!

Honestly one of the BEST professor you can find in the entire school. She could take the hardest complex context and turn it into nothingness. Very pretty, admirable, strong minded, and humble professor. Highly recommended.

She's nice and all but gave me a C which for some reason I think it was based on her opinion of me as a student ....I showed up everyday maybe missed only 3 days participated and everything but still a C don't get it

Very easy class. Professor Oney is straight to the point and very clear. She encourages students to ask questions so that everything is understood. Exams are easy, usually multiple choice. A practice test is given before each test. VERY helpful.

Took psych 245 (psych of women) spring 2015. This is one of most thought-provoking classes I've taken. Really re-examined my attitudes and cultural attitudes about women & importance of feminism. Sometimes tough/awkward discussions (sex, ect.) but really challenged me & others. Recommend !

I Took psychology 100, introduction to psychology. I really loved having her as professor and want to take her again, if possible for more psychology. Easy to talk to plus very clear and interesting lectures! Course layout with exams and practice exams I found helpful. Wish more teachers were like professor Oney :)

Dr. Oney is a fantastic psychology teacher. Her strengths are making class fun and making material relevant and interesting. but really, maybe lectures are more important than the textbook because exams cover exactly classroom information.

Professor Oney encourages us to join the psychology club which did me a great deal in order to learn more outside of class. Also, she gives extra credit if you do attend to the meetings, she is very clear according to her grading chart. Professor Oney gives feedback to your grade to make sure you know where you stand. She was such a great teacher! Took general psychology (psy 100) last semester and found class to be informative, interesting, and fun. Especially found the quizzes after each chapter helpful. They were not for credit, but helped reinforce material. If you have the chance, definitely have Professor Oney!

She is an excellent professor! Although your grade it is only base on four tests, her class is a easy A. She is a real college professor, the lectures are amazing and you learn a lot. Take her class, you won't regret it!

Just finished introduction to psychology (psych 100) for spring 2017 Professor Oney was great! Warning- Tests are somewhat difficult, but definitely fair and consistent with practice tests and outlines. highly recommend!

Best psychology professor, took her this summer she is very caring and the classes were funny and interesting. 4 exams today she drops the lowest grade she provides study sheet and you get to take a practice test before the real one. One of the most amazing classes I have ever taken. It was a summer class which I was hesitant about but it was the best decision I made. She makes the class very interesting and you actually learn! She gave out 4 exams and 1 quiz. She provides you with a study sheet and a practice exam which is very helpful. Also, she drops the lowest exam grade.

Overall Professor Oney is really knowledgeable, she makes sure everyone understands. I recommend taking her in the summer its pretty fast paced but she always provides a study guide before hand a practice exam the day prior if you study them both you are guaranteed a +90% on the tests. 4 tests total and she drops the lowest grade which is amazing.

She's one of the best professors that I had so far at Bmcc. She's nice, respectful and organized. She post on blackboard all the slides for every chapter, the quiz, and study guides for every exam. 25% of your final grade is for attendance, 75% for the 4 exams including the final. So it's easy to get an A if you want to. I recommend her.

Professor Oney makes psychology very interesting! Some subject matter is difficult, but its explained in simple ways. Professor gives practices questions before exams and that is particularly helpful. Sad semester is almost over because love the class :)

Took PSY 245 Hybrid over summer. It was very fast semester and lots of reading, but I did learn a lot. Would recommend this class and professor. Might be better to take during Fall or Spring so that you have more time to do the reading

Research Method hybrid Read textbook & article home. Class time review/slides textbook terms and longer talk of studies or research article or videos. I enjoyed the class discussions especially after pandemic isolation .Tests are Multiple choice and short answer. some test questions feel tricky, but grades on a curve. Course overall is easy A.

If I could, I would take Professor Oney again next semester, except I transfer. She seems to really care about students and does try to make psychology interesting with lots of discussion. She drops lowest exam and offers extra credit.

Just finished PSY 265 Fall 2022. Course covered research methods. I am going to transfer at a 4-yr CUNY program because I graduate BMCC this semester. She sat down with me during office hours to review the research opportunities at my next school. Would not have known to do this on my own and was very helpful. I would recommend Ms Oney.

Had last semester research methods with dr. oney. Was helpful class and was reminder of all psychology concepts from entire degree plus a research focus. three exams in class and plenty of practice questions.

Just took this professor she is very based off her power point lessons, she often went too fast for my liking when lecturing, there is no assignments in her class other than the three exams. If you struggle learning the material without homework than this might be a little tough. Overall very generous when it come to the tests which were open book.

Best class I had this past semester. Exams are MC based. Quizzes are done in class. Class was very informative.Participation and attendance are important. An easy A once you do your part.

Dr Oney is very nice and sweet. 75% of grade is exams-4 total, lowest grade dropped & 25% is attendance- allowed few days absent. Lot of chances for extra credit. She didn't only read off the ppt, she actually explained. She's very nice, however her class felt awkward. She never tried to connect w any students. Always came in late, taught & left.

This was a good way to start psychology. There's no homework only exams. There are four exams but they're all open book and the lowest grade gets dropped. I would still suggest studying as you only have class time to complete. There's no textbook as she provides slides.

She is AMAZING! stays on topic gives only 3 exams and no homework! The exams all come with study guide and practice exams at the back of them. Ask questions and participate, we watched lots of videos on research studies which helped! She's an easy A just SHOW UP and talk.
