She is very helpful, but at times very confusing with the notes. she is one of the best math prof. in lehman college, i would definately recommend her to anyone.

Prof. Sormani is by far one of the best Prof.'s I ever had. If you expect to just show up and pass, then do not take her class because she expects you to work. The trade off is you will deinitely LEARN SOME MATHEMATICS. Prof. Sormani is a MUST for math majors. Because I learned so much in her analysis class, I am taking 2 more course with her.

All math majors should take her for analysis. she knows this area very well and will ensure that you leave her class more knowledgeable than when you entered. she is always available for office hours and will send the extra time to explain the content in detail for you until you understand. its a definite A and you will learn a lot.

the material in this class regardless of who is teaching. For those unitiated to theoretical math and proofs, this class will be a rude awakening. I recommend you review how to do mathematical proofs and think logically before taking this course.

He's able to simplify complex concepts and deliver them in a concise and efficient way. If you can handle the pressure, you will proudly leave the class knowing you learned something.

this class is a bit challenging and very advanced too, and needs real hard work next to the class work. She is extremely knowledgeable and always ready to help. she makes you work with intensive quizzes and homework. Being a math major, intensive work was very convenient and necessary that makes you learn the subject rigorously.

Want a math teacher that loves what she does and is helpful? Look no further...Professor Sormani is awesome and does her best to make sure that the entire class is on task. Like any other class, you have to do your part. Do exactly as she tells you and you will have no problem passing and more importantly have a true understanding for mathematics.

There's no joking around when comes to this class. This is not a grade that you'll earn just by attending class. This is a class where you have to invest hours in to learning the materials. If you want help? Ask her in class or go to her office hours, she'll gladly help, no doubt about it. I recommend this teacher.

She is great professor. She use free legalized text book on online, but mostly students do not refer the lecture, yet follow her lecture. If you have to take linear algebra, do not take with any other professor, because I experienced other professor. She gave many opportunity for improving your grade such as retake exam and retake project.

Sormani is a very tough professor when it comes to her tests. She wants all of us to succeed hence making all of our test very difficult. her tests are 2x harder than the final to which there is no excuse of getting lower than an A-. To pass her class I suggest studying and going for tutoring. I really recommend taking her.

Hands down a great professor, she knows her material,truly helpful, clear & understanding. If you do bad on exams you are given the chance to-retake part of it to boost your grade. You will leave her class with a new gained knowledge of the material. She tends to hand out chocolate too.

Simply put, one of Lehman's gems. She's smart, caring, always available (in person or email), gives extra credit and will work tirelessly for you to understand the material. Her lectures are amazing & she even tries to relate it to real life scenarios. Take her & you'll have a real understanding of math. Show up, DO YOUR WORK, and you'll do great.

I took her class this spring 2017 and im taking another math class with her. she helps you if you need any help, gives extra credits. She is very friendly with students and a fair grader. overall she is one of the best professors for math classes.

I've taken two classes with her and am taking a 3rd one this upcoming fall. She is definitely one of my favorite math professors at Lehman! She explains things clearly (if you're okay with lots of notes) and gives copious opportunity to help your grade, be it extra credit or retakes. Definitely take her!

Professor Sormani is always available outside of class which is needed in a course like this. She explains the material well and gives extra credit which not only gives you points towards your grade but also makes you think of problems in different ways. Also ask questions! Attend the lecture it makes reading the textbook much easier. STUDY!

Prof. Sormani is a really good Professor. She really cares about her students and it is always available even on weekends, you can email her any time and she will reply you within an hour. Analysis is not an easy A, you need to work hard in order to get a good grade. But, you can do it, just go to her class, office hours, do HW and youll be fine.

Send emails after lectures of class notes. Sometimes will hold class when no class is scheduled by school. Has reviews before exams. PAY ATTENTION AND DO THE WORK TO PASS

Professor Sormani is one of the best mathematician Ive come across in my years. She uses all her knowledge to pave way to a very detailed amazing structured class. From the beginning everything is given to you and as long as you follow along and no procrastinating to due date then she will teach you the right and best way of math!! Best Professor!

Professor Sormani cares much about her scholars and her classes. After Calc 2, the rigor in mathematics goes up. You need to put the time in. I used to stay up until 4am watching her online lectures. She grades everything on time and is available almost all the time. I had her for both remote and in person. Wonderful, caring professor.

A great professor in my opinion. Tough class and rubric for homeworks and exams but it all helps you in the long run.

Sormani is BRILLIANT but the workload was too much. Left the class feeling I could tackle anything but this definitely was two classes in one. Had to drop other classes to keep up, which is a shame. Could definitely get the an A if this was the only thing I was doing in life but know that you really learn the material with her.

I took Prof. Sormani 313 course. It was a lot of work, but thankfully I was only taking that course so I was able to keep up with the work. She really will make sure that you learn the subject and shares a lot of opportunities for student research participation.

What can I say about this class? Well for starters it made me rethink whether I like math or not but other than that it was very interesting to learn. The one thing I can say is that professor Sormani is willing to explain things as many times as you need her to in order to understand the topic. Also she does grant extensions on assignments if need

I took her class fall 2022. She give a looooot of homework which do not count for the final grade but they are very helpful. She's excellent at explaining every topic and makes it easy to do homework. She's awesome, very patience and gives a lot of useful feedbacks. Exam grading are very straight forward. I would take her class again.

Her class was challenging to say the least. You have to really work and her lectures are great. Only downside is the amount of work she assigned and he push for the work being perfect. Great if you want to actually be an expert but bad if you just want to pass. Proceed with caution...

Professor Sormani is not easy but it is due to the intensity that the class requires. At first I felt quite frustrated because I did not understand the material, but Professor Sormani's homework and exams helped me to practice more and above all I learned that as a future teacher I should be more independent and not depend so much on the teacher.

This was a challenging class, but I appreciated Professor Sormani's videos because I could pause and rewatch parts that were confusing. Her notes are very thorough and she is very knowledgeable and responsive to email. The homework is long, so do your best to stay on top of her work, ask for help, and find some classmates to work with.

She pushes you to do well and keep trying even if you can't do it the first time. She is really understanding and this course is heavy and she tries her best to teach the material in a way that is easy for us to understand.

A very dedicated professor but tough when it comes to deadlines and grades. This is the professor that expects students to spend time and learn on their own after class, but she will make herself available after class when students are in need. Prof. Sormani expects students to take responsibility for their education.

I took this class in Fall 2022. It was a very demanding class because of the heavy workload. However, the lectures are well explained, so I hardly ever had questions. I did struggle to keep up with the class schedule, but the professor granted me an extension to finish the course during Winter, so I was able to do great in the class.

Firstly you will learn a lot on this class, that is if you make it out alive. The workload is quite a lot and you must do things exactly her way. The exams are tough because of the time constraints.

Get ready to work everyday for this class. However, this class is a walk in the park compared to MAT 176. If you can pass calculus, you will be getting an A in this course, just do not procrastinate. Also, Prof. Sormani is polite and respectful, she just is not going to spood feed you the information.
